141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ways to Appreciate Your Favorite Casino Beyond Playing on: April 17, 2024, 08:07:10 PM
You are someone who has had a great time at a casino for some years. In a poll you will  give them a 9/10 or 10/10 satisfaction rating. As a satisfied customer what can you do to show your appreciation for the casino beyond just playing?
There is nothing that I can do to help than telling people about the casino or the gambling site. It is even like I am helping them like marketing them in a way that people that know me that I tell about the casino can also register and gamble. That is what casinos can get from people that love their service.
142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 17, 2024, 05:47:13 PM
It is sad to see how Arsenal continues to top the league, and when it is close to the end of the league, they will no longer be able to stay on top till the end of the league. I will every sad if Arsenal does not end up winning this trophy, it means that Arteta needs to start preparing to see how he can get rid of the cause of the problem.

Manchester city are also lucky when it come to this period when the league is about to come to a end. They normally come from behind to top the table, and the moment that they are on top it becomes difficult for them to drop points.
There are still 6 matches to be played before the end of this year, anything can still happen. Not that Manchester City has won the league already. But you are not wrong that it might be hard for Arsenal or Liverpool to stay at the top again. Arsenal has always disappointed me. You said you will be sad if Arsenal did not win, why? It is just a football and nothing more than that. I wish Arsenal to win in the last season, also wishing the club to win in this season but they are disappointing.
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now that Bitcoin is no longer digital cash? on: April 17, 2024, 01:34:05 PM
I ask this question because I wonder what Bitcoin will become now that the financial institutions and meme coin advocates have taken over.
Financial institutions and meme coins have taken over? Why are you comparing financial institutions with bitcoin? But if you are comparing bitcoin with meme coins, add the marketcap of all existing meme coins together, divide the marketap of bitcoin by 5, all the meme coin marketcap is not worth one fifth of bitcoin marketcap.

If Bitcoin is not peer-to-peer electronic cash then how do you see it?
Your question has no sense. You are saying bitcoin is not what it is.
144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar being addicted to online poker on: April 17, 2024, 01:26:57 PM
Aside being an addict I think what Neymar is trying to do is that, he's deriving joy from the celebration of his daughter's birthday and what he choose to do is play poker during the celebration.
We can't tell and shouldn't criticise him for that but he's expressing is joy and happiness,I know one or two guys in my area that does this too when they are being excited of happy about an Achievement they tend to go all out and gambling, play bets, poker and all of that so when I see such people doing this  I understand that they are happy inrespective of their achievements.
If you have friends and you are happy and went outside to a casino to gamble or you open your devices and start gambling, that is different from what Neymar did. Or are you saying your child can be celebrating and you will pick up your phone and be gambling? Maybe I am not totally right about this but I do not see it as good and I see it as a sign of gambling addiction or so but I may not be totally correct. We humans can behave differently.
145  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Leverage on: April 17, 2024, 11:01:49 AM
In life, leverage is good as it helps to help us accomplish a goal faster. But in trading, leverage in trading is clearly a bad deal.
The other trader who made massive profits on the otherside would disagree. It's not a bad deal to them. What is a bad deal is your poor trading decision. The money makes it's way to the smart traders from those who made poor decisions. That's how markets work.
But did you know that people that is making money from trading are the patient people. They have high amount of money and they are going 1x leverage or less than 1x leverage. I think what he meant is that leverage is bad because it draws the liquidation price closer to the market price but as the leverage increase, the exchanges are making more money.

146  Economy / Economics / Which country proposed the establishment of BRICS? on: April 17, 2024, 09:20:48 AM
I think the country that will first move to establish BRICS will be China or Russia.

Such countries are the ones with the motive of dedollarization. Some other countries that are joining BRICS may not think about dedollarization but about some benefits of joining the organisation, although while some may also think about it.

Chinese Yuan recently become the most traded currency in Russia. Some other country are joined BRICS while some other countries are planing to join. Most of the imported products that these countries are using are from China. I see China looking for ways to make Yuan dominant the US dollar as most countries are depending on China than China are depending on them.

BRICS is nothing more than China wants to dominate the economy.

I can not forget this old news: Chinese lenders, the Export-Import Bank of China, also known as Exim Bank, has taken over the Ugandan Entebbe International Airport and other assets in the country over the failure of the Ugandan government to repay a loan.

I hope these countries will wake up and know that China may not be their friend. Why BRICS?
147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Leverage on: April 16, 2024, 09:24:51 PM
If you have $100 and the exchange has trading fee of 0.05%. In each position you open with 1x leverage with the $100, that is $0.05 as the trading fee of the position you opened.

If you have $100 and use 10x leverage. The trading fee will go 10 times higher. The trading fee is $0.5.

If you go 100x. The trading fee is $5.

Exchanges make money as the leverage increases. The exchanges do not care if you lose or not, what the exchanges care about is the profit they want to make.
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do casinos do with inactive accounts? on: April 16, 2024, 04:29:31 PM
What do casinos do with inactive accounts? And what does inactivity mean - not logging in to your casino account or logging in say every two months without playing any game?
Inactivity means you are not gambling on the gambling site.

When I joined this forum, I stopped using bet365 when I have crypto alternatives. I think in their ToS, if you are not active for like 6 months, that your account will be deleted by the gambling site. After like 2 years that I was not active again on the gambling site, my account was deleted and I was unable to login again till now.

I also learned that there is something called a dormancy fee or maintenance charges on those inactive accounts which covers for administrative cost incurred by those accounts. I learned that the deduction is from the remaining balance in the account. What about inactive accounts without any balance? On the other hand, what type of fee is charged on an active account?
I do not know about this. But if there will be something like this, it will be on the gambling site ToS. It is very possible. But I wonder why some people will leave their account inactive but having money in there.
149  Economy / Speculation / Re: If China Supports Crypto, Where Can Bitcoin's Price Go? on: April 16, 2024, 03:14:31 PM
China has banned cryptocurrencies completely, they have taken a tough decision against Bitcoin. Now if China supports cryptocurrency, what could be the value of Bitcoin? We all know that China is an influential country. Other countries greatly support China.
China did not ban bitcoin. You can have bitcoin in China and no one will say you are doing something illegal.

China banned Bitcoin mining but did not ban Bitcoin usage or cryptocurrency usage by their citizens.
China banned crypto mining but the second country with the highest bitcoin mining hash rate as of today is China.

When the news about Hong Kong broke, I figured people might start speculating about adoption of cryptos in China.
What news? Hong Kong has never banned cryptocurrencies before. Bitcoin ETF is not even bitcoin but a token pegged with bitcoin.
150  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is the main cause of financial depression on: April 16, 2024, 11:20:55 AM
Inflation is one of the cause of financial depression but it is just one of the cause. Also a country with good economy will have people with financial depression. Everybody can not be rich and you can not know what everyone on earth are going through emotionally.

Did you read about the happiest countries in the world and the most depressed countries in the world. UK is in number 2 of the most depressed country but the inflation in the UK is far less than some countries in the happiest country in the world.

Also know that bitcoin can not solve inflation, financial depression and depression generally. Not everyone can also afford bitcoin. Some people will buy it but not much in a way that can make them to be come very rich.
151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: After losing the money in gambling, what is your strategy on: April 16, 2024, 11:09:49 AM
Now he had decided to start the gambling again with the loan money to balance the previous loss of 2000$.What is your opinion on this,I had suggested him to go to the regular job to reduce the loan in step by step to reduce the loan burden. But he had word of “We can earn,Where we had loss everything “.Share your opinion on this.
Tell him he is making a very big mistake, he should not gamble with loan money.

He should not think that he would win. Gambling sites have their odds and house edge in a way that most gamblers will lose while they will will be able to pay their workers and maintain their servers and other necessary things. You will see the gambling site grow more if there are more people gambling with them. This is simple enough to know that the tendency that he will lose is far more higher than he will gain.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF approved in Hong Kong on: April 16, 2024, 09:35:08 AM
This is one of those news that could increase the motivations of most bitcoin holders, most especially those that have witnessed the last weekend market bloodbath, I believe this news will trigger a more positive market outlooks and increase investors appetite to keep the price up before the bitcoin halving event which is around the corner, Hong Kong ETF approval is one big News for the market following the first January ETF approval that triggered the recent multiple all-time highs.
I will also say it is a good news. Bitcoin dropped below $60000 as the tension between Isreal and Iran increases when Iran sent over 3000 missiles and attacking drones to Israel, but I read that bitcoin price started to increase immediately after the news of bitcoin ETF approval in Hong Kong. Yes it is a good news.

What is bad is that China is somehow getting back into the game, and considering its attitudes towards everything that is decentralized, the only question is when it will start attacking Bitcoin again. No matter how you turn it, Bitcoin and communism cannot co-exist together, so in the long term I see only problems in these decisions, of course only if these ETFs are successful in attracting investors.
If China crackdown is coming again, but which is actually not a crackdown as bitcoin price continue to increase after short decrease of price, let us expect it to be during bull run. Bitcoin price may fall in short time but later increase and get to all-time-high as it happened in 2021. But bitcoin can still be legally owned in China as of today.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will increasing banking restrictions lead to a rise in P2P transactions? on: April 16, 2024, 08:45:46 AM
P2P has always been the best option for Bitcoin to fiat exchange and even exchange for one crypto to another especially when trying to avoid KYC.It was because of its easy and efficiency most exchanges  quickly copied it and added a KYC feature to make the lane man feel safe thinking their data is 100% safe with them like most exchanges usually say.
It makes them fee safe but they can still be scammed. Decentralized exchanges scams are avoidable.

As for this crypto enthusiast are all putting hopes that Bitcoin will be fully accepted by major world countries. Especially
in countries where the government view it as totally illegal. Also I believe it's already taking a positive turn since some countries have fully legalized it. In my opinion I believe decentralization is the reason why most governments are refusing to legalize Bitcoin in their countries.
I do not think there is any major countries that did not accept cryptocurrency. The countries that do not legalize crypto do not also legalize gambling. They have this wrong motive against crypto. You can see these countries in Northern part of Africa and also countries like Saudi Arabian and Qatar in Asia.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will increasing banking restrictions lead to a rise in P2P transactions? on: April 16, 2024, 08:39:01 AM
I do not like face to face trading because it is dangerous. In the country I am, I have to avoid it.

I keep reading about bank accounts in the UK, US and EU being frozen due to crypto associations. This is concerning me, and I am reluctant now to use any exchanges to purchase Bitcoin. However, I am happy to purchase crypto via P2P transactions. These can be either cash payments in a face-to-face meeting, or by bank transfer to a trusted person's personal account. Will this be the future of Bitcoin for us mere mortals, or will sanity prevail and allow us to return to using exchanges?
This is how crypto was before. But people just like what is centralized because of their ignorance. Some people will argue with you that the centralized exchanges are regulated, unlike the opposite ones. They will not care about privacy. Most people of this world have ignorant thinking until they fall into a problem. Some people will even be ignorant because of lack of information about how it should be.

Now, what about crypto-to-crypto exchanges? Will government oversight and intervention restrict those. This could lead to decentralised swop services, and surely this is contrary to the wishes of the banking puppet masters?
There are some decentralized exchanges and swap services already and people are using it with tor.
155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What people some people don't know about trading on: April 15, 2024, 04:51:18 PM
I have seen where people say trading is a quick to get money.

Such people will trade and lose as fast as possible because they are trading like they are gambling.

So, how can you earn 50-1000k like them if you didn't put in the work?
The amount you can earn will depend on your trading fund. It is possible that you can earn less than $50 daily or weekly if you start with low amount of money as you minimize your risk. As you minimize your risk so you are minimizing your profit but which is the better tactics to win more in trading than lose.

But it is good to know that trading is very risky as you are looking for profit losses my be the result.
156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An interesting story and experience of a gambler on: April 15, 2024, 03:25:18 PM
He should know that he should not think about it. This can cause depression and thinking his life opportunity has been lost. But he should not think about it and understand more about life so that he will begin to find joy and happiness again.

This is common to gamblers. If they win, they will want to win more and continuing gambling. But only the experienced gamblers know they should not use the money to gamble or to use the right but very small amount for gambling. It would have been better if he use the money to establish a business or use it to hold assets.

What exactly do you think we call this type of gambler? For he is not only addicted to gambling, but he seem to be also addicted to buying stuffs he obviously does not need, and absolutely not interested in..
We can not give this type of conclusion because he earned huge amount of money like within a short period of time and that can make him spend little amount of the money on what he just wish without thinking twice.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would this add scalability? on: April 15, 2024, 10:51:27 AM
Bitcoin mining hash rate can not be reduced in a way that more miners will quite mining in a way it will affect bitcoin price. If some miners quit, other miners will gain more and there will become a time no miner will want to quit.

When bitcoin price was falling in 2022 which was a massive bear market, bitcoin hash rate continued to increase in the year.

Why not add or create virtual blocks with the block that is mined and the transactions can be completed inside the virtual blocks.
What do you mean by this? I do not understand but I do not think it will be helpful. If you want to have a say, you will need to be a prominent bitcoin developer.

If you are a prominent bitcoin developer, you will not propose this as you will see it not meaningful.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF approved in Hong Kong on: April 15, 2024, 09:33:12 AM
Including altcoins does not mean anything, the news is also about bitcoin ETF and it can stays in bitcoin discussion or it can be moved to legal.

It is good to read this kind of new. I hope that more countries will follow this and approve bitcoin ETF.

But it is good to know that bitcoin ETFs are not bitcoin but a token pegged to bitcoin spot price.
159  Other / Meta / Re: Post per day/ per month falling. on: April 15, 2024, 09:00:16 AM
Halving being nearby has nothing to do with the number of posts people make in a day. There might be a thread about it, but I don't think it's enough to keep the number of monthly and daily posts of all members increasing.
I think he is referring to bitcoin price that went up and halving can further push the price up. There have been more traffic on this forum when bitcoin price increased in the past.

Stop of campaigns that pay per posts like Chip Mixer and other mixers are main reasons if I am not wrong.
Chipmixer has been banned which opened ways to other mixers on this forum and the competition was high among them. They pay more than other campaigns. The mixers are even paying for avatar campaign also. This encourage more people to join campaign and post. Mixers campaign ban on this forum is the reason.
160  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not a lifetime job. on: April 14, 2024, 10:35:42 AM
Trading is very risky and to make money from it will be very hard. It is true that it will take much energy from someone and looking at the market and losing has been linked to health issues. Not only that. Also staying watching the market every time has been linked to trading and which can cause health issue also.

You do not need to leave your coins on the exchanges each day after you finish trading. You can move the coins to a noncustodial wallet. If you are good in future trading and that means you do not use leverage, you can use leverage to protect some of your coins on noncustodial wallet.
