1081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quick Bitcoin questions on: June 05, 2023, 09:24:36 AM
Bitcoin is more of an asset right now and that makes it a real store of value, I find it hard to even spend my Bitcoin for any reason, because I bought them for cheap price, if I use it as means of payment right now, what makes me think that I will be able to buy back the exact same Satoshii bought and sold so soon all in the name of making payment using Bitcoin?

I am buying Bitcoin right now so that the future can be easier for me, I would rather have Bitcoin right now in my wallet than having a big ride ( car ) that will depreciate in value within now and the coming two years, and Bitcoin in the next two years will never be the same again, those who don't buy now will be swimming in the pool of regrets by then.
1082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Purpose of purchasing bitcoin! on: June 05, 2023, 08:08:41 AM
OP, I can mention up to five different guys that I knew that really really understand what's Bitcoin is all about but they're not ready to invest money in Bitcoin at all.

They understand what blockchain is and they understand why Bitcoin was created but they're still not ready to invest anything in Bitcoin, the reason why they choose to do so is unknown to me till today, all I have left is to keep guessing why.

Maybe they are scared of losing their money or maybe they don't want to see Bitcoin succeed or they're scared that one day Bitcoin can turn into a scam.

I use to have a starber mibile apps before but i lost interser in the app as it constantly keep updating and it sucks since if the app become outdate it keeps manufacturing so i do not desire them and i rather visit the sute directly unless for a special occasion that may demand me to make such use of an app.
As a crypto gambler, I will like to advice everyone to stay away from standalone app for any online gambling platform, I have witnessed the same thing as you RILWAN, updates won't work anymore and you will end up getting frustrated and uninstall the app.

Online casinos don't give much interest on their app, if they have one, and I don't blame them, because they don't have to, every user can run their website on iPhone and Android phones, why will they spend time on developing a mobile application for their website that's viewable on any smartphone?

Do not expect much from any online casino standalone mobile app, they don't have the time to fix the small issues they got, and I don't blame them, app aside from the website is not important, if any website can be viewed in a mobile version, there is no need to go app.

I do know someone very close who was addicted to gambling, he lost his life by suicide and the letter he wrote is so sad, he so much believed in gambling as the only way to get is life together and gambling took everything from him, gambling addiction is something that affects the way gamblers think, do not get in such corner.

You don't have to plan a life changing solution with gambling, it's not good for your health and for your future, there is assurance that you will lose, that's why it's called gambling, I think people should try to understand what gambling is before they start thinking that they can get rich through gambling, I have never had such thought in my head and I will never do that to myself.

It's sad to see someone close to gambling addiction to the point of having to end his own life because gambling has taken everything from him. He should have stopped before it was too late, despite losing almost everything he could have. But he has to tell people close to him so that people close to him can really know how to help him. Without it, no one could help him, which would end his life.

That's why we shouldn't depend on gambling and never think gambling can make money. Many people have tried but failed and lost everything; that person is an example. Getting rich from gambling is possible but we shouldn't try it because the risk behind it is not worth what we will sacrifice.
The family tried helping, to say the truth, he was arrested at first and he promised to never gamble anymore, he started paying all the loans he took from people to gamble, few family members helped in the payment too and time passed by very fast.

A year later we thought he finally gave up, he looks more serious and no traces of playing bet was detected again, but that's all a lie, because he was playing on a second phone he no one knew he had, and things got worsen.

Gambling is not by force, it's not a must to gamble, it's been a while that I gambled last and before that I don't win but lose all my money to gambling, if those money are not mine or I took a loan, I would have been in big trouble right now, I really pity the life of those gbling addicts
1085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best open source hardware wallets for BTC? on: June 04, 2023, 03:24:35 PM
Binance Exchange CEO was right all along when he said that the biggest problem of crypto is the wallets we use to store our favourite coins, he believes that the security of those crypto wallets are not that secured like we think, and I felt scared because it's coming from someone who know about crypto wallet very well and also the founder of Trust wallet.

Ledger and Atomic wallet are not the latest example of why crypto wallet securities are one of the biggest issues we have in crypto space, do you think this is making sense? Or you disagree? Now Trezor look like the only option left for hardware wallet users.

South Park is right, if you can't rely on yourself to beat your gambling addiction there will never be a solution for you, don't go around looking for a solution when you are the only one that can get your problem fixed, I don't drink and I don't do smoking, and I keep wondering how people get addicted to such things because they are not something that sweater the tongue, the first time I tried them out I was like what the hell? 😄 but yeah this is gambling which is different, money making easily get anybody addicted, either the right way or the illegal ways.

I do know someone very close who was addicted to gambling, he lost his life by suicide and the letter he wrote is so sad, he so much believed in gambling as the only way to get is life together and gambling took everything from him, gambling addiction is something that affects the way gamblers think, do not get in such corner.

Every online gambling platforms are accessible using an Android smartphone but I don't like it because of the possible details I might be missing, there are some games that works better and more snappier on computers instead of a smartphone, I do notice a better display using an iPad vs a smartphone, I think the display inches is playing a major role here so it's all about the display, but many people don't care so, it's all about which one you prefer.

You're absolutely right! While it's true that you can access online gambling platforms using a smartphone, I personally find it a bit limiting. The larger screen size and better graphics on my desktop computer can definitely enhance the overall gaming experience. But we cannot overlook the advantages that mobile devices bring to the table. With a smartphone, you have the freedom to access online gambling platforms anytime, anywhere. And that is certainly tempting for many players, especially the younger population for whom a smartphone is practically an extension of themselves.

Yes mate, the fidelity of the game you playing is very important, maybe some people don't care but I do, because the fun part is why I am gambling sometimes, I still remember and can hum along with a game because of it's soundtrack, it's what get me attracted to the game and it's slot game, the soundtrack is lovely.

There is nowhere to get a better graphics details out of a game than on your PC, everywhere else is not that good, the only thing a smartphone does better is the ability to move around with it, it's more accessible than even a laptop.

it's one of the reason why I sold my gaming console for PC, the difference in terms of graphic details is night and day, as for those who argued about this, they don't have the right set of devices to see the difference, a 720p display monitor is different and less attractive to a 1440p display monitor.
1088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Force Your Children to Learn Bitcoin on: June 04, 2023, 11:05:40 AM
Wrong, I have to teach my children about Bitcoin, the decision to pursue Bitcoin and crypto is left for them after I teach them, I do believe that Blockchain technology will last longer than anything that's been innovated since decades, they will benefit a lot from crypto, if I can make a lot from crypto why can't they? What I will never do is trying to force them on Bitcoin, but not letting your children know about crypto is not cool, that's my own belief.

we still don't know how the future of blockchain will be in future, but if it's ever going to be useful in the future, it will be more useful for the coming generations, and that includes our children, I am in full support for everyone to make sure they lecture their children about the blockchain and Bitcoin.
1089  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: June 03, 2023, 07:03:10 AM
KYC verification won't safe your account from getting attacked, it could happen from your side if you are not careful, like, using the same password on every website that you open an account with or it could happen from the website developers side, like, carelessly not looking into any possible breach on their platform.

There are many crypto exchanges that ask for KYC verification and they get hacked by hackers, they lost a lot of money in this process, I am just trying to prove to you that hacking is still possible if any platforms ask for KYC from their customers.

I will still advice you to better use casinos that require verification because it's a sign that they are given permission by the law and it means they are more reliable than others that are not asking for KYC, it's a big risk using such casinos because they can one day be forced to face the law.

Some gambling platforms are designed in a way that works very neatly on mobile view and there are some that are not so good on a mobile view, you need to do the comparison yourself.
1091  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The effect of Bitcoin on children on: June 02, 2023, 06:50:13 AM
It is possible that this story is fictional. If the author confirmed the said photo of the BTC-logo on the sand, drawn by children, then there would be no doubts. @Fuso.hp said that there was no mobile connection in that place, but he had a phone with him, if he could determine this. If I was in that place at that moment and wanted to tell this story, I would definitely take a photo to support what was said with evidence.
You see crypto currency is totally banned in the country where I live. And the parents whose pictures I'll share on the Bitcoin forum who are involved in Bitcoin will not take it well if they suddenly see their son's picture on this forum. And I also don't want to bring their son's picture in front of everyone. And this is not a fictional story but my real experience and that real experience is what I have shared here.
Even if this story is true, drawing the BTC-logo by children means nothing. They can switch to other games the very next day and doesn't mean that they will become bitcoin-enthusiasts when they grow up. As children, many played pilots or sea captains. How many of you have become them now?
But I never once said that they would gain a lot of experience about Bitcoin by seeing them draw the Bitcoin logo. The only reason I am sharing this incident with you is that I love such children's activities.

I'm gonna bet $100 that this didn't really happen.
There is nothing to prove here. I have not shared the pictures just to protect privacy. It is entirely up to you to believe or not.
This is a lame excuse, you don't have to show their faces, you can just blur the faces out like many people have done on this forum, saying they won't be happy if they found their pictures on this forum is a lame excuse.

Also, you don't even have to drop their pictures, all that's been required of you is a picture of the LOGO that the little boy draw on the ground, how hard can that be? If the internet is not working in that village a camera will function properly, or the camera needs an Internet connection too?

When you are trying to prove something, always make sure you have some evidence at hand, just because of something like this.
1092  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinos on: June 01, 2023, 09:25:13 AM
Why should anyone care about web2 or web3 casino when one won't increase your winning chances over the other? You heard me right, web3 will matter only if gamblers are going to win more than using web2, if that's not the case then this debate is officially over.

Web3 is new and that's why almost every thing online want to join the cruise and gain from it's momentum, I get it, but this needs to be carried out professionally, what are the benefits of using web3 gambling platforms? Gasless transactions? Higher numbers of offers and bonuses? New gambling experience on the fun aspect?

Leave the web3 side of thing out of this whole gambling idea, gamblers only want opportunities, I as a person, wants fun while losing some part of my money and having few numbers of wins, I don't think anything new can change the old experience of gambling, it's always the same.
1093  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you need some menthor come to me on: June 01, 2023, 08:38:02 AM
Why are you here OP? This forum is for sharing advice and information about anything crypto that you feel it's right for others to know about or learn something from, telling us to come for you is telling people to DM you off this forum, that's not a nice thing to do on here, why can't you share whatever you know on here? If you can't you should abandon your account right now and never come back.

You are also a newbie, what makes you feel like you know what's best for others? What have you learned so far coming on here? Your motives are not to be trusted because it's like you are trying to find good number of people that you can use for your own cause, and whatever that might be, is not up to any good.
1094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be fool to keep it online, look my name on: June 01, 2023, 07:15:39 AM
It's a shame that warnings like this still won't stop people from keeping coins on Coinbase and other top exchanges, like how I talked to someone through proximity chat online yesterday and we talked about some new projects for the 2025 bull run, he told me how he has been storing his coins on coinbase for months now, and when I told him how risky this was he said he will move it out once the bull market is about to start, he must have believe that we ars out of the bear market already but he forgets that a top crypto exchange won't warn you if something bad is going to happen, it will just happen very fast and it will be too late to move any assets out of the exchange.

Some people really prefer to see the bad side of things before they learn their lessons.
1095  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Duelbits, $500,000 scam alert. on: June 01, 2023, 06:29:50 AM
OP there is not much evidence to back your claim and many people especially new accounts have been accusing top rated gambling platforms on this forum for months, those accusation always come from new accounts, I have read some this 2023 and it's getting annoying.

Also that's a huge amount of money, I don't know the magic wand you pulled to make this happen but don't expect them to just release that high amount of money for you without cross checking your win very carefully again, give it time if it's truly genuine.

Some new accounts are been created only to use for scam accusations, I think it's time we do something about this? It's getting annoying seeing new accounts complaining about old reputable gambling platforms scamming them, who told you to come on here and make the accusation if you are not a old forum member yourself? I am kinda confused about this behavior.
1096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Internet is one limitation of bitcoin on: May 31, 2023, 12:31:32 PM
I am facing a real world issue that prevents me from using Bitcoin.

I live in Pakistan and for last three days cellular internet service all across the country is suspended because of prevailing law and order situation. Internet is working on fixed line connection that is reaching homes. So there is still some connectivity available.

If government shut down internet service even on fixed line connection then there will be complete internet blackout in the country and in that situation we cant use bitcoin.

I think this is also one of limitation of bitcoin that we need internet to use it.
Internet isn't a limitation to bitcoin. Internet is an integral part of bitcoin and Bitcoin would be nothing without it. So saying internet is a limitation of bitcoin is a huge fallacy.

Whatever plight you might be facing lies with your government and not internet.

The only advise I can offer it's to get a reliable VPN for internet access in other countries
You nailed it newbie, the problem isn't the internet but the country that OP is from, he can get rid of this problem in two ways and one is more convenient than the other.

1. He can leave that country behind and move to another if you really want to build a foundation around Bitcoin and crypto, I have see too many people leaving their motherland and move to a foreign country in search of a better life.

2. He can subscribe to a satellite internet providers instead but this have it's cost and also you will need to be in a remote area where there is less activities because your satellite dish will be outdoors for it to get a good signal everyday and people will see it, with gossips going around people will know that you are the only one using the internet, in a country that doesn't want it, sounds like it's against the law in the country?

its on you to make a good decision, if the internet is limiting your potential or opportunities you need to get your ass out of that country before you get too old and can't fo anything anymore.
1097  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Diversification of Scam Techniques in Cryptocurrency on: May 31, 2023, 11:20:29 AM
If I remember correctly, meme coins and NFTs blew up at the same time in the last bear market of 2018-2020, I don't believe this is something that has to do with scam techniques. In my own way, every tokens are pump and dump, some just stay longer than others.

If you can look at the chart of Bitcoin since 2009 to this day you will see how bullish the chart has been, the lower price of Bitcoin is always not completely down, unlike altcoins can always drop down to -98%, it's why many call altcoins scam because the bigger play is still pump and dump.

Do you know how many altcoins are looking like this right now?

Yet some people still believe in those projects like Jasmy and VictoriaVR just to name a few, why isn't Bitcoin chart looking like that? Why can't we buy bitcoin at 500$ again since that's the lowest in 2015/2016? It only happens with altcoins.

it's very hard to accept this but, majority of all altcoins are pump and dump and they will never go back to their all time high again, if you are holding coins and tokens that already did well in 2021 you are deceiving yourselves.
1098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which New Technology will be adopted by the Gambling Industry? on: May 31, 2023, 09:17:45 AM
VR and AR is really not needed right now and not even in the near future, maybe in far away future, like twenty years later then VR and AR can be a good way to go about gambling but right now it makes no sense, online casinos are not facing any problems that VR and AR can fix or should fix, the highest thing you can gain from VR and AR are fun and pleasure.

AI is still better because it has a problem or two that it can fix in online gambling platforms, AI can easily replace humans and AI can do the hard work for humans which can limit their extreme hard work on paper check and others, the higher the number of gamblers on an online casino the harder it will be for the team to keep everything under control.

AI has a better use case for online casinos and the blockchain in general but VR and AR are better right now for gaming purposes, using your TV at home or on your computer, it has everything to do with video games and metaverse but the needful in an online casino is very limited.
1099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle long shot bets? on: May 31, 2023, 08:00:33 AM
You pinpointed all your gambling problems yourself OP, what are you doing to solve this problem? You know what you did wrong and I don't think it's right looking for someone to tell you where you are wrong, you chase losses, you overbet when you can't afford it.  These are general problems that many gamblers have, they can't control their greed and emotions,  maybe you should try setting some gambling rules for yourself. Create a timetable for your gambling days and risk-taking, you will see a big difference.

Get a book or calendar and draw out your favorite gambling days in a week, and also the amount you can afford either twice or thrice a week, then stick to this plan, and when you lose money don't ever try chasing your losses, if you can do this you will see big difference and you will be able to maintain yourself.
1100  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin as a retirement plan for my parents on: May 30, 2023, 10:09:37 AM
Everything you have witnessed in crypto space have happened to 99% of people in the crypto space, this is normal to get better with crypto and gain more knowledge if you learn from your failures.

Bitcoin as a means of retirement is very good and advisable but for older people, I don't know, because their minds are created differently, they are in this world before us and they understand Fiat better, an old man would rather advise you to invest in gold than anything is because Gold was the best in their era.

If I am in a position to advise older people that are ready to listen to me I will tell them to invest in some Bitcoin, Gold, and stock for retirement,  doing so will likely give them rest of mind better than focusing on Bitcoin only.
