10901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MonetaryUnit [MUE] Quark based, CPU mining, faucet, explorer, pool, wallet on: March 07, 2016, 04:54:01 PM
Hello everyone,

I want to announce an upcoming project:

MUE:GS - MUE: Game Station

MUE:GS will bring to us many hours of fun that we can share with our friends or other players from around the world.

MUE Game Station will be the platform for the players, where the majority of games provided by us, will be completely free to play, however, to register your account on MUE:GS players will have to prove that they know what the project MUE is - for example by sending 1 MUE to the address indicated at registration.

MUE:GS will launch soon - the first available game will be called "TroM" and it's an arcade multiplayer  motorcycle combat game where the winner need to think and react, inspired by the movie Tron and inspired by the game called GLTron.

I was doing my best to post this ANN in same time with an alpha version of MUE:GS - but we will have to wait a bit more time to make it happen.  We will launch the MUE:GS alpha release in a matter of about 2-3 weeks or sooner if it will be possible.

Please share your feelings about our upcoming project! Smiley

Have a great day!

Cool. This will definitely be a great addition to the MUE project. And I think that once it launches, it will give better interest to MUE itself and have a positive trend in its price. I will be awaiting for this exciting release. It will be so much fun.  Grin
10902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VTA] VirtaCoin|Launched July 1st|1.6 Mil. users|Formerly VirtaPay| on: March 07, 2016, 04:47:00 PM

VTA (VTA) 0.00001630 USD ↑
VTA (VTA) 0.00000004 BTC ↑
VTA (VTA) 0.06899900 DOGE ↓
VTA (VTA) 0.00000459 LTC ↓

Great statistics about VTA you have shown there. One thing that I have noticed is that VTA's price is always in a positive trend when compared to other alts. I think all it needs is more exposure and people will realize the true potential of this coin. I am holding VTA for long term.  Cheesy
10903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: March 06, 2016, 11:34:37 PM
C-CEX BURST/BTC Marked for delisting ,DEV ,BURSTCOIN DEAD ? BURSTETHER  Rebirth ,?

I received a message from C-CEX too. I guess they will be removing BURST from their exchange unless there is more trading volume/activity in it. Hope this does not happen since it will be one less exchange for BURST and there will be even less trading activity than usual.  Sad
10904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Powered OS on: March 06, 2016, 11:08:14 PM

If you are referring to the distro mentioned above, I highly doubt it since it is a command line OS rather than having a GUI (somebody correct me if I am wrong) Also, this distro was made specifically for mining ETH not for installing other apps into it (I think).  Smiley
10905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MonetaryUnit [MUE] Quark based, CPU mining, faucet, explorer, pool, wallet on: March 06, 2016, 11:04:11 PM
@bizzyb About the MUE Bank, I tried using the contact form on the site, as well as replying to the email I have received when I first made the deposit, but still no luck. Perhaps, hoosen is too busy to be able to answer my messages.

I just want to know why I haven't earned interest into my deposit address (initial deposit was on Jan 23, 2016) It has been 4 weeks already but there hasn't been any changes yet (as I checked the block explorer) All I want to know is if my deposited MUE are safe and I would be able to withdraw them in the near future.  Sad
All MUE are safe, we will never let anyone incur a loss from MUEbank, see our ANN for the mue liquidity fund wallet, the project has 4 million MUE contingency fund.

PM me your details and I'll get this sorted.

I have sent a PM! Thank you for letting me know that there is confidence within the MUE project itself. If all this gets sorted out, I hope to be able to deposit more MUE into the MUEBank. It is something that makes this coin very interesting.  Cheesy
10906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ETH] ethpyramid.meteor.com Dynamic Pyramid Fast Payouts!!! on: March 06, 2016, 10:52:21 PM
Site is up and running at http://ethpyramid.meteor.com/

Open with mist browser or a local geth node running to get full contract details.

EDIT: Deposits seem to be coming in quite quickly now with the site Smiley and payouts too, seems there were about 2 new payouts of 3 ether each since I posted this.

This is absolutely fantastic. The site looks really great. I am going to try it out. Say, will the 3x payout be available like before of has it already ended? Nevertheless, this looks like a great way to double your ETH.  Smiley
10907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: March 06, 2016, 12:51:26 AM
Thanks - Hoping I can generate a wallet offline though.
Has/is the mist wallet from ethereum been forked to expanse?

It could be, but I am not really sure how to answer that question. But as far as I can tell, it looks to me that it could be the same Mist wallet from Ethereum but forked to Expanse. (I hope I am wrong) Anyways, we have now reached the Homestead release in both EXP and ETH which could mean that more exciting things are about to come.  Smiley
10908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: March 06, 2016, 12:27:52 AM

I assume the mining difficulty will increase if more people start mining? Do you know how many coins can be mined each year?

I already invested in Expanse. I found it on Poloniex. Looked undervalued compared to the trade volume. Now I found out it has ETH tech and a nice active community, I think I will be on board for a long and happy time;)

Thanks again!

Greetz,
Losmilos

I am glad that you found out EXP is a great investment. About the mining difficulty, it could increase once more people start mining it. It should happen with all crypto currencies. For the amount of coins that can be mined each year, I am may not be able to answer that for you but I'll leave that to the Expanse team.  Smiley
10909  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: March 06, 2016, 12:18:55 AM
My investment strategy is buying bitcoin itself, i believe in the technology and hope that we can get past the current problems.  I think a solution will eventually be found but a massive split of the community could cause problems which will hurt bitcoin in the long run.

We are on the same road mate. As well as you, i'd wish that Bitcoin would come together as a whole and stop dividing itself in its community. All of this started with block size issues, but I think that eventually they would come up to an agreement and make Bitcoin great again.  Roll Eyes

Any simple EXP wallets around? What wallet is presently recommended? thanks

I think that the simplest EXP wallet right now, would be a paper wallet. If you'd like to make one, just visit this site: http://exp.rocks and you'll be all set. There is also a GUI wallet for EXP, but it is still in beta stage. You can check it out by visiting the official page at: http://expanse.tech  Hope this helps  Smiley
10911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Powered OS on: March 05, 2016, 11:45:56 PM

Actually, I never thought that an ETH distro could exist. Thanks for sharing this. However, I am referring to an OS in which it could run sort of in the cloud (like Chrome OS) but in a different kind of way by using the ETH network.  Smiley
10912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: March 05, 2016, 11:40:46 PM
That, or just play for faucet or bonus promotion money that were given for free.

Using the faucet earnings that were given for free, you could feel safe when gambling since you will not lose any money. Besides, you could resist free money? Maybe by gambling with faucet earnings, you will get lucky and win even more free money.  Roll Eyes

...and I also use hedging as my preferred way to minimize risks of losses.

Hedging is very important to safeguard your investments and reduce the risk of loss. In my case, when I invest into Bitcoin, part of my holdings are hedged against the USD value in order to protect my investments in case BTC's price declines. I achieve this by exchanging BTC into another crypto who's price is pegged to the value of USD. For example: 1 Tether = 1 USD  It may not be always 100% pegged to the value of USD, but still it works.  Smiley
10914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ethereum Powered OS on: March 05, 2016, 11:24:49 PM
Seeing how well Ethereum is doing in the last months, there is no doubt that it's capabilities could be expanded in order to make an operating system powered by Ethereum. After all, it is a decentralized platform for applications and it is often called the Ethereum World Computer.

If a decentralized operating system could be made from the Ethereum platform, things will get pretty interesting by then. Imagine an operating system with the ability to repair itself with the Ethereum network....

There are many possibilities and I think this could be a great idea. Don't you think?  Roll Eyes
10915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Vitalik Buterin Satoshi Nakamoto? on: March 05, 2016, 11:23:43 PM
Never!
There is a huge generation gap between Vitalik Buterin and Satoshi Nakamoto

Also as far as I know Satoshi had already left the crypto scene and has died by now.

as far as I know Satoshi had already left the crypto scene and has died by now

what you read such things?
satoshi died?
mmm stop spread wasted news!!

I think that he is referring to Satoshi's loss of absence in the crypto world, in which you could say that he is "dead" by some time ago. In order to protect his identity, I think that he did a very smart move. If he would have been active all this time, I think he would have risked the chance of getting caught.  Smiley
10916  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: March 05, 2016, 11:17:01 PM
You don't really expect people to tell you strategies that actually work, do you?

Not at all but it would be just to know what strategies you would apply when investing into assets, commodities or crypto currencies themselves. It is good to know about them, even if they don't work.  Smiley
10917  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: March 05, 2016, 11:14:37 PM
I've got some gold and silver as part of a saving fund. It might be worth picking up some physical bitcoins (like Casascius, Microsoul, Lealana, etc) as they have their own value and popularity that is somewhat independent from BTC. There are the odd few bitcoin artwork pieces (newspapers, silkscreens) which can be uniquely special and end up priceless.

Cool. That definitely looks interesting. I am a physical Bitcoin holder myself and I could say that they are really interesting artifacts to hold on to. The most that I like are Silver ones.  Cheesy
10918  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: March 05, 2016, 10:06:03 PM
I don't really have a strategy that I use. I just buy some Bitcoins every now and then when the price has gone down to hold for the long term. That's all I do at the moment. I am not even trading. It's purely holding what I do. I am so happy with my Bitcoin investment that I never look into any other investment. Bitcoin is more than enough for me as I believe in its full future potential.

That is very good to hear. I am glad to see a proud Bitcoin investor in this community. As well as you, I do believe completely in its future potential. By then, it would be much more valuable than what it is right now.  Smiley
10919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: March 05, 2016, 09:52:19 PM
Can anyone explain the difference between Ethereum and Expanse? Are their any extra's Expanse has compared to Ethereum? Or is the same but with less available coins?

Thanks for any reply in advance!

If you compare Expanse (EXP) and Ethereum (ETH), they are relatively the same way except that EXP has less available coins. A good advantage of EXP is that its mining difficulty is lower than ETH, which makes it much more profitable to mine. Also, it is far cheaper than Ethereum so investing in it right now would be a good start.  Smiley
10920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Vitalik Buterin Satoshi Nakamoto? on: March 05, 2016, 09:40:20 PM
Those who know would not confirm his identity, time to move on with speculation until he chooses to reveal himself.. or not.

What do you think it would happen if Satoshi reveals his identity? Perhaps, a lot of people would be after him asking a lot of questions about Bitcoin and the Blockchain, or maybe governments would be after him until he is caught in jail for good (maybe) So I think, that for the sake of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies it is not best to know who Satoshi is.  Smiley
