aurel, I'm interested.
It's probably close enough I can drive to meet or pick up.

sending PM

Great I am just south of South Bend. The only thing is I am down to five now as I have sold 1 on EBay so far even thou I have not been paid yet.

No PM yet. You can pay either cash or BTC. When I sold my S1's on Craig's List I had them mining so the buyer could see them running.

my s3s are 38c in the winter.. they hit 45-50 in the summer..

the s5s seem to already be at 60+

will i see temps in the 100c in the summer??

No because they will shut down at 80c

1106  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: (WTS) six Antminer S3's open to offers US shipping only on: January 02, 2015, 01:24:43 AM
I am thinking like $135 each plus shipping may sell cheaper for all of them.
1107  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S5 Batch 1 Unboxing :) on: January 02, 2015, 01:13:53 AM

Overnight, one of the blades curiously went xxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxo running at stock 350 with the temps at 63C. Rebooted and it's working OK again.

Hmmm.....I got back from New Years Eve celebrations earlier and noticed the same thing with mine, but all X's. They all came back after a reboot also, but it is a little worrying..... Tongue  Anyone else had this?

EDIT: Also at stock freq with temps @ 65.

Loud fans and now this... Waiting on my S5 to show up but someday I will learn not to order from the first couple of batches like I did this time and in the past.

What are you paying for electric?
1109  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S3 Hash Rate Drops from about 450 Gh/s to 45 Gh/s on: January 01, 2015, 06:01:26 PM
Hi there. This is my first post.  I purchased four S3’s and have had trouble keeping them mining since I received them about three weeks ago. They will all run for several hours and then GH/s drops down from about 450 Gh/s to about 45 Gh/s.

I had previously been running five S1's that ran great for 6 months. The issue has only begun with the four new S3. They do not drop internet connection they just lower the hash rate to about 45 Gh/s.

This happens randomly with each S3 and at different times. I cannot run longer than 16 hours before 1 to 3 miners will drop out to about 45 Gh/s randomly.

I would much appreciate some suggestions and help.

Wondering if the problems is with your PSU's?
1110  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3+ Discussion and Support Thread 0.26$/G Free Ocean Shipping on: January 01, 2015, 04:34:17 PM
Has anybody done a undervolt/clock of the S3 to get the watts per GH down like we did with pencil mods on the S1's? Its time to do something with my 6- S3's
1111  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: (WTS) six S3's open to offers US shipping only on: January 01, 2015, 04:23:44 PM

@BITMAIN:
Do you have plans to change the fan for batch2?

Cheers

I just order new fans for my Batch 2. I have a couple ideas I want to try when it gets here.
1114  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Dec 29 to Approx Jan 12th diff thread (4%) to (7%) on: January 01, 2015, 02:13:34 PM
I say with Bitmain whole selling "used" S3's at 500 units a batch it tells me they have switched out their farm of S3's to either S5's or maybe something even newer ?? Not sure how many batches of 500 they have to sell but each equals @250TH/s which if they switch out to S5's they pretty much double their hash rate.

Edit: I do know they will let a person order up to 2000 units per order.

Thanks for the review. Have you try to clock it up yet and see how those fans do?

Why do people think an S1 will ever earn $15 after electricity costs?! Before you factor in the cost of electricity, it only earns $0.80 per day. And at 2w/GHs it will probably cost a $1.00 per day to run, lol.

Have fun and get rich! What could possibly go wrong?   Roll Eyes

I tend to agree with you but without really knowing what he pays for electric we really don't know. Some up in the Northwest say they have ultra low electric cost. But really $15 will be either a cheap learning experience or an addiction.
1118  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is mining that profitable? on: December 31, 2014, 10:27:56 AM
I would think 12 months to get your money back is your BEST case scenario.   With the cost of electricity, you will be using more than 2/3 of your mining proceeds just to pay electric.

He stated that he has very cheap electric, even though we don't know what that price is , electric may not be a problem for him.
1119  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Dec 17 to Dec 29th diff thread (-0.32%) to (-0.12%) on: December 31, 2014, 10:23:40 AM
Well, I can't say I expected the spike in the past few days. What do you guys think it is? A new datacenter? Maybe BITMAIN is putting some of its S5s online.

Maybe it's just luck.  Undecided

I think Bitmain may very well be a large part of it. They are selling "used" S3's at a bulk rate so that tells me they must have swapped their farm S3's out to the S5 which may have doubled their hash rate.

Ok this is how I am feeling waiting on this block...
