We seeing same patterns as in 2013/14 after the gox crash. We'll going to 2 or 3k slowly but surely.

It's looking more likely. The support line is on the verge of breaking, and that's sure to generate some psychological fear.

Still kicking my ass for not dumping $1M @ $11.5k on the last bounce Sad
At what point will you be kicking your ass for not reinvesting the millions you already cashed out back into Bitcoin?

What if there's a 1% chance Bitcoin fails? Personally, I wouldn't throw away a life without want just so I could be twice as rich in the other 99% of outcomes.

there we go road to 3000, the path is open lol

The probability that you win micgoossens' bet is increasing, but don't get too cocky yet  Tongue

We'd be wise to remember that no exponential trend can continue indefinitely in a finite world.

We've had 8+ years of exp growth. I'd be fine with just 8 more years.

This would place the market cap of BTC at approx. 1 - 2 quadrillion USD (based on 175 day doubling).

How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?

Jimbo was floating through space before Earth's creation. Some say he even existed before time, in a universe that was a mirror of our own.

All these octogenarians glaring daggers at Bitcoin, and yet the simple, morbid maths is that their numbers are shrinking. Unless they can disseminate their religion, they have already lost.

Hmmm,

I wonder if filling this thing with hydrogen was really the best idea.

Your rectum is going to be rickety-rickety-wrecked now. Should have opted for carbon dioxide.

wtf? This is... REALLY bad!
Military elite getting off to "Slaughterbots" while US poverty soars.

Poverty will be eradicated, rejoice! (By setting the slaughterbots to exterminate the poor.)

The gox trustee isn't allowed to dump any more coins unless the court orders him to. The last dump was because the court decided he needed more money to pay interest on all the fiat owed.

The trustee says he's almost sure civil rehabilitation will be approved, which means all those owed Bitcoins get paid back in Bitcoins. Although there might be another sale of a relatively small number of coins the vast majority are likely to get returned to gox's customers.

Yep, seems that way. If it goes to CR, we'll probably be looking at a year or more of lockup while all the claims are reassessed.

For $884K, I'd want the watch to berate me constantly and humiliate me in front of friends. That's the only way I can think that I could justify that price tag.

 I'm sensing partner issues.

lol Tongue +merit

Only in the crazy world of crypto could such a crap network be worth $2 billion USD.

I found HairyMaclairy's post to be insightful and illuminating. Even though I was aware of some of the shortcomings of market capitalization calculations I hadn't realized it was quite as bad as the example that he gave and it hadn't occurred to me that there is as direct of a connection between the total number of altcoins and the bitcoin dominance as there is.

To be honest, I don't think it is quite so bad. Anomalous data tends to get reported and excluded - and it is going to be more common on obscure exchanges and for minor coins.

To broadly sweep aside the rise of the alts as mere wash trading seems like wishful thinking. I don't like this shit any more than the next oldtimer, but newcomers want their penny stocks and to cart their wealth off a cliff.

I would trust 0 confirms for small every day microtransactions like groceries. Worse case if someone manages to pull off a sophisticated double spend attack while standing at the checkout line, then the merchant can put that person on a crypto blacklist and mail them a bill

With RBF it can be made trivial. Don't trust 0-confirms for anything you wouldn't trust a scribbled IOU for.

Jerking off with bitcoin, it’s so beautiful.

Grin

It has no connection with Bitcoin. It's Verge only, aka the shitcoin that recently hard forked because it suffered a 50% attack.

Do I understand correctly that this leap upward just because of adding on a new exchange?

Listing on a Korean or Japanese exchange always creates absurd pumps. I'm surprised more alts don't focus all their attention on it.

I still don´t know, where to sell my "Bitcoin Private".  Let alone "Bitcoin Black" !

I`m happy for any suggestions !

Dumped mine at Trade Satoshi. This is no endorsement of that site because it felt like it was run by a 15 year old from his desktop, but it at least has some btc on the orderbook.

I'm not sure if I've posted this on WO or not either, but I'm all for just simply merging with AI as this will make the AI threat irrelevant by "upgrading" humans. Given the alternative I would be surprised if this did not happen. There'll be some religious and moral/ethics folks that will oppose to this, but they can just remain as normal humans in their own societies for all I care.

Those societies will end up looking like ant colonies to the posthumans, so you sure as hell want to be on the side of the machines.
