A bull market will not deter realr0ach. Just like a roach, he is tenacious. During a bull run, we are bound to hear the exact same arguments again and again. We will also hear much about Bitfinex painting the tape with Tethers. R0ach used to be a trader. However, I believe that he was turned off by the bullshit he perceived as happening with Bitfinex. When Bitfinex has "hacked" in late 2016, I think that was the final straw for him. Perhaps if Bitfinex would just go belly up, that would make R0ach go away. However, there are a lot more players in this space pulling some dubious shit, so I doubt it.

E.g. BitMEX that has been running its own for-profit trading subsidiary on its own platform...

Regarding realr0ach, most of you are getting to worked up over his posts.
Just grab a cold beverage of your choice and print out your own realr0ach Bingo card and follow
the thread Wink

I've known many trolls in my day and realr0ach is by far one of the more entertaining. I don't really even mind him. Look at that meme you just made, it's awesome and hilarious and it wouldn't exist without him. He's almost like our pet or something.

here we go Grin

edit, was just a wick up

will break 7600 tonight for sure

We'll see, might as well start our way down to touch the trend line at 7k

I know the pump the other day made a lot of people bullish but we might want to wait for some confirmation. We're still below the ichimoku cloud, below all EMA's, and the volume isn't all that great.

We'll see, patience Smiley

Why do all experts, whales and dickheads insist that capitulation has not occurred and cry, beg, scream, insist for lower prices?

I saw capitulation on Feb 5th!

True capitulation about 8 bleedin' weeks from an all time high? Don't be daffy.

Here you have it.  Another dickhead!

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we're back over $7.5kUSD... currently $7555USD/$9801CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Tried to buy a couple of thousand fiat bucks at my local low-sell-fee ATM but the General Bytes machine had run out of thermal paper to print my redeem ticket so I had to wait until today. Nice to see the price up a wee.

The price rise may be small but every little bit helps when you're an old-age pensioner trying to eke out a living selling small amounts of Bitcoin.  Cool

How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?

Remember the good ol' days when this was the place to find out wtf was happening with the price?

I remember those days. Something I have wondered and I've been meaning to ask, what happened to that wall observer bot? The one that would post the depth chart every few hours? It appears to be gone completely.

RichieT did a rage quit with his Chartbuddy about 2 years ago.  He got all BIG blocker nutjobie, and at that time concluded (and still seems to hold such sentiments) that theymos was censoring his feelings too much, and he was going to take his marbles...

You or anyone else with the possible skills who wants to could program a chartbuddy, and I am sure that anyone would receive a lot of positive praise for such proactivity.. likely merits, but maybe if the bot performed well, even a few folks would donate some token amounts of BTC (no guarantees, of course)?

For the market to grow like we all hope it will, regular people are going to have to come in droves.

No, this is wrong. Current fiat (or any asset) wealth is not distributed evenly across the population, in fact it is well-documented and heralded as being increasingly concentrated in fewer and fewer hands. By this reason alone, relatively very few have to come to bitcoin to replace fiat as the dominant wealth storage and measurement mechanism.

This is true. As Bitcoin continues to live on though, it will be the younger, newer generations of Average Joe that takes a chance with Bitcoin. They come into the working world with more disdain for the existing financial structure, less debt (except student loans), less skepticism of Bitcoin, less to lose and everything to gain.

Grandma and Grandpa ain't coming in droves, sorry. Grandma and Grandpa can't even afford to buy Precious Metals anymore, much less Bitcoin. Plus the MSM has mindfucked them to believe that Bitcoin is a scam.

Get the fuck out of here with your nonsense proclamation that regular Joes cannot afford bitcoin.

They only believe that they cannot afford bitcoin, which seems to tie in with your overall point that they are being mindfucked by mainstream media.

Ultimately, you and I are likely pretty close to agreeing, and probably I am merely quibbling with the mixture of your nonsense points that are embedded into your other relatively decent points.   Tongue Tongue    Shocked

love the bingo card. I think though there is an untapped money making venture here - we convince the CIA, KGB etc that this forum is the ideal training product for assessing whether applicants are worth hiring.. They have to in a 30 min exam identify the true believers, from the shills etc (only from info in the thread not other sources). We can charge them heaps per time its used - these spies have huge budgets - and share it among ourselves. We would then hit them up again for more money (bitcoins) to mark the papers - though I suspect it would have to be marked by several and a consenus agreed. Who is with me? Theymos might need a sweetner to agree to it but we will be so rich even if we have to sling him an extra 10% it will not hurt. PS Is there a spy reading or spy bot scanning the forum that good give some feedback as to the likelihood of any uptake? I am off now to take my meds. Hope when I return there is a reply

They changed bitcointalk policy due to NotLambChop's epic trolling.

I wonder how long it will take to do the same for this troll.

My suggestion:
Allow for auto-ignore of all posts quoting ignored posts.

What is your evidence that NOTLambChop caused some kind of change in bitcointalk's policies?  Trolling has been going on since the beginning of the forum, and maybe the bot phenomenon is more common in the past year or two (which is after NotLambChop was banned).

The merit system seems to be an attempt to address the trolling and bot proliferation issue.. but what meaningful and/or significant actions did bitcointalk take specifically in regards to NotLambChop, besides banning him?
