So what sort of difficulty retargeting does MRC use ? Am I getting this right that although the net Hash has dropped 300%+ we are still on pretty much the same difficulty and hence getting 3x fewer coins ?
I wonder if there is a bug or we are missing something in the picture, because my expectation was about the same - n-factor rises but difficulty drops. Difficulty drop because hash drop. It is correct way. |

Looks like bitcoin payment companies in USA will have hard times. Good point is.. alcurEX is not located in USA and will be regulated anyway. Here CoinPayments.net mail:
It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the closure of CoinPayments.net. FinCEN has ruled that Bitcoin is in their purview which would make us a money transmitter. We simply do not have the resources to register with FinCEN and most of the 50 states as a MSB and comply with all of the AML/KYC laws (and no realistic way to raise the funds to do so.)
The shutdown will happen in 3 stages:
1. We will stop accepting new user registrations effective immediately.
2. We will stop processing new transactions at 11:59:59 PM EST on March 24, 2014 (transactions already in progress at that time will be completed).
3. The website will otherwise remain operational until 11:59:59 PM EST on March 31st, 2014 when it will be shut down.
Any refunds due must be requested by the end of March 31st, 2014 and any funds held in your account withdrawn. Keeping the website open for a week from the last new transaction should give everyone ample time to wrap up their affairs in the site.

Since I see that you have those system variables in your .bat the next question is have you tried a reboot? I will now, I've had this same problem on my other rig with 270's, even after reboots it doesn't work. Take your thread-concurrency 16384 out and start find max -I from -I 12 Any help? |

I got an idea when the block rewards descend to 1000/block the devs should reset the nfactor back to 5 and leave it there untill asics are developed for scrypt-jane. Right now no scrypt-ASIC miners are able to hash this coin so the only thing that the nfactor is doing now is causing us to use more energy and produce more heat
actually its bringing CPU mining closer to GPU mining. Im hoping and thinking when this thing hits a higher n factor, we will have a huge influx of CPU miners that can actually make a little coin. And this will be great for the community. /crosses fingers I dont think cpu mining would help us, we would just be getting attention from botnets It wont help single miners, but coin yes. |

That whole leverage thing is going to blow up in their face.. The whole 'trade at 10x what you have, and if you lose it all, we'll cover you' is at best ill-advised, and at worst a direct scam. In either case, I don't see how Alcurex will help MRC, only how MRC will help Alcurex.
The concept of leverage should be similar to Forex. It'll make trading more interesting for some gamblers. Yes. Leverage is not for investors, but for gamblers. For investor there is shares (house win always) |

Before sending any BTC to cryptsy, take into account that crpytsy hasn't said anything about when and if the winner of the vote will be added to their market.
