1121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: October 15, 2023, 04:22:49 PM
if you bet "actively" by checking the results/odds and so on you cannot do another activity.
There are no alternative possibilities.
you can dedicate yourself only to this activity. Any work requires attention it can't be done in the same time you are gambling. Yes during a break but no more.

I would also add that it is unprofessional and in these cases you can risk a disciplinary sanction that can go as far as... to get fired! I wouldn't bet on this....
1122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An agent is no where to be found. on: October 15, 2023, 01:19:04 PM
Today I witness something very strange in the area where I live recently. There was a gambling shop that was not too far from where I am staying, so every day different gamblers visit the shop to bet on games, some win and some don't win a dime.

So, yesterday afternoon, a man bet on a midnight game and the game played accordingly as predicted, but the surprising thing was that the betting agent ran away with the money the man won, and the betting agent is no where to be found.

However, I am here to say these are the reasons why it is not always good to gamble in a betting agent's shop, because if the manager of the shop does not run with the money a gambler wins, then one of the workers in the betting shop might run away with the money someone wins, so I do conclude that an online gambling site with good reputation is the best for gambler, so what do you guys have to say about this?.

In which country have you seen this issue?
I mean, in most if not all, western countries its pretty obvious place bets only in reputable bookmakers....
But I have never heard something like this also because agents are earning from bets of people.
It they ran away with only one win (unless Is a six figures) mmmm thats not a profitable business Roll Eyes
It could be possible It was Just a scammer/fake agente?

1127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Lega Serie A 🇮🇹 (Italian League) Prediction Thread 2023/2024⚽ on: October 14, 2023, 06:52:16 PM
Pogba will probably not receive the full sentence as it is thought to have been more of an error in the prescription and not taking a product capable of actually changing his athletic abilities.

It must be said that at this moment the betting issue (which in the past involved a lot of famous footballers here in Italy) probably needs to be clarified and this could have a devastating effect on many teams/players Roll Eyes
1128  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Junket Operator on: October 14, 2023, 06:44:21 PM
...

I’m just thinking if there’s still some casino offers this type of luxurious reward to their players aside from rakebacks.

I think that these kind of services are always offere to "high spender".
But as always there is the usual "motto" to be applied: no one gives anything for nothing. I personally would avoid such a situation as it feels forced to have to play, spend... and even lose a little who knows Roll Eyes Wink
1129  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: October 14, 2023, 12:07:06 PM
Well I still think it's a big step back again for stake.
Normally the "base amount" for the monthly for platinum 4 was over 50$.
I think the base reward for the active platinum rank user has been reduced to $20 from the $50. Users with low gameplay activity or inactive user receive less than the base amount. I have received $22 from the October monthly bonus, which is same as yours.

I don't know how these bonuses ( Roll Eyes ) are calculated but even though I also have this rank I guarantee you that in the month of October I received much less than what you say here as a minimum....
It's true I probably didn't play much (and I was even profitable) I would have expected a higher amount also because I have not always collected the weekly or monthly bonuses.
1130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ferrari introduced BTC payment option for their cars on: October 14, 2023, 10:08:28 AM
I am always of the opinion that although you can pay DIRECTLY in bitcoin this option has always been possible... just exchange the bitcoins into the local FIAT currency!
Such purchases must be tracked anyway, so there isn't even a particular advantage and rather than making it clear that one has enough BTC to buy such a car.... Roll Eyes

I bought a sports car a few years ago (2017)? Obviously I didn't spend as much as a Ferrari (much less than 10K euros). I asked to pay in bitcoin (it bothered me to make a transfer or withdraw) and the seller asked me for a "20% fee for btc payment".
My answer? I started laughing and made him a normal bank transfer Wink
1131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you not gamble on women sports? (tennis not included) on: October 14, 2023, 09:55:31 AM
much probably because there are not many events with female players and excluding tennis (or volleyball) I don't have enough experience with that sport.

Please note in horse racing there are female that run in the same runs also with male jockey, it's interesting since some are really strong...

1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: October 13, 2023, 06:37:38 PM
probably it's true this an effective (low cost) solution. but I think that anyone MUST avoid to reach a situation like this.
there is enough time to avoid this point of a gambler career. I would recommend (always) to have a "limit" on betting (play an amount of money that you can literally trash). and for people that use crypto for their gambling activity... we have a great advance with cold wallet, multi signature and so on...
1134  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: INDOVINA IL PREZZO IL GIORNO DELL'HALVING E VINCI! PREMIO 0.0005 btc on: October 12, 2023, 06:14:16 PM

1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: October 12, 2023, 06:07:19 PM
...

You are saying the right think. These deals are too risky and can have a lot of potential issues linked.
I was enough trusted? Yes probably but even the trivial amount was also something important.
Definitely this was a once upon a time chance Wink
I would never trust a stranger on that activity since its really easy get heavily scammed or just not receive the proper amount of money.
1136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: October 11, 2023, 06:23:06 PM
Financing player is a common practice like in poker... but in the past (some years ago - see reference below) during Direct Bet Monthly competition I have sold in a auction 1% of my stake in a competition! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1565169.0
Of course I have won and the user has made a good investment.
For me, it was a deal since I had more crypto to gamble, so I was able to maximize my win.
Even if the experiment was profitable for all parties involved I decide to not auction anymore these stakes.
I don't think it's easy to made such deals in a classic betting setting (it's really easy get scammed in my opinion...)

1137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Relying on gamble wins is dangerous to mental health on: October 11, 2023, 06:12:00 PM
I have always advised against playing bets like this. nmd it is a real rule that I have adopted since a while with decent results.
...
10° Last but don't least.... Don't play too much events in one toto bet!
...

Of course there is... a mathematical explanation, no more and no less.

I would suggest your friend use tools to optimize profits.
https://www.sidelines.io/odds-calculator (there are several free available on line).
Another solution is offered by gambling exchanges... if you haven't this option in your country just bet "against" a certain event" that allow you to win (much less of planned but it's still a win).
1138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 11, 2023, 05:28:38 PM
...Sinner...Shelton...

I think Sinner at this point of the season is "tired" and not able to play the same tennis as usual.
He is struggling with injures and with not the perfect shape.
We have seen strong performance but... I don't think he is enough fit to play at "HIGHER" level in each tournament at least now. Probably he should improve physical condition in next years, he has a career ahead.

Shelton by the way is probably the next big player that could arose... This year was pretty disappointing against Djokovic but generally speaking he is able to play strong performances...

... Marozsan...

Another player that should be watched closely... is strong performances against big players are a "sign" Wink

@Ale88
