1121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 17, 2024, 08:07:40 AM
Yesterday West Ham lost in the FA cup against a team playing in a much lower division than the Premier League and that for me was a really big surprise result.A team from the Premier League who happen to have won not long ago the Europa Conference League to lose to a team playing in a lower division. That shows that West Ham is truly in a volatile performance in the Premier League.

Günther Steiner released an interview and he basically said if he will come back in F1 he will be in a better team

He doesn't want to be back in a small team but he want something big.

And what team was he referring to?  Top teams are Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes.  Midtable teams which I guess could be considered somewhat big are McLaren, Aston Martin and Alpine..?  I guess Alpine is the smallest one among the midtable teams and it's a fringe big team.  And there's the rest of the bunch Williams, Alpha Tauri, Alfa Romero and Haas.

So, which team do you think will he go next?

And isn't there gonna be a couple more teams on 2026?  There's Audi and Andretti's team.  Maybe Steiner is gunning for one of them...

I think McLaren as the second best team of all time in F1 is at the bigger level although they have been struggling to win a Championship since the distant time of Lewis Hamilton in 2008 and that is why maybe now is perceived as a mid team but their budget surely fits the bigger ones. They were also the team which had the best performance in the closing stages of last season so they may be are the only chance we have to see a fight against Redbull this season that is approaching fast enough, just 2 months before the first race here.
1123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2023 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: January 16, 2024, 10:34:36 PM
Time is really running fast. I hope that at least one team can manage to go head-to-head with Red Bull in the new season. It was quite boring to see Verstappen and Red Bull winning constantly last season. I couldn't keep up with the last news. Is it certain that Red Bull will continue with Perez this season?

Yes they will continue with Perez as he fits perfectly into their plans. He managed to get 2nd even by driving in such a mediocre way which means all other teams are really struggling to keep up with Redbull and unfortunately I assume this would be the case for the upcoming years until the regulations change in 2026,until then it will be extremely difficult for any team to match Redbull pace.Maybe McLaren can surprise all of their fans which I would be happy and even non fans as they were the team closest to Redbull in the ending stage of the last season.
1124  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: January 16, 2024, 08:28:21 PM
Those that keep their gambling habit a secret is it that they're not proud of what they are doing?.
I think it's not necessarily about keeping a gambling habbit secret from public view... but choosing the right place to share gambling experiences is still the best practice to do. Some people view gambling as a taboo topic, and rather than disrupting regular conversations because someone dislikes gambling while others enjoy it, it might be better not to touch on the subject of gambling in certain discussions.

Make it a secret could be the best option when sharing gambling experiences doesn't bring any benefits. We live in an era where privacy has become a right for everyone, so respecting each other's privacy is something that should be encouraged.

Exactly.I don't think that keeping this habit secret makes a difference but surely playing in a very quiet place without any interference is at least guaranteeing that you are enjoying at the fullest your gambling session.Whenever I used to gamble at work I almost never won and usually lost big,my rage could be felt inside yet I needed to act very well to not let colleagues to know what was happening to me.Also when playing with people around that can be a bad impact on your gambling session as you can lose focus,so the best approach is to play in a very comfortable place to enjoy your gambling session at the maximum and there is no need to keep it as a secret.
1125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Social aspects of online gambling on: January 16, 2024, 07:31:15 PM
To the people that have maybe tried both online and physical gambling, how do you perceive the socialization aspects of online gambling?

In my personal opinion: I think casinos that feature crypto gsmbling are somewhat lacking in terms of how players can communicate with each other. I get that some people that gamble online might actually want to avoid talking to other people, but what if you can only gamble online and still want do socialize a little bit?

When I tried sitting on live blackjack tables for example, the dealer would always introduce topics, as if he/she was told to keep talking. But it felt very repetitive and forced. The chat wasn't a good means to actually keep up a discussion. Out of the wight playwrs maybe one or two would reply with single words, and if you wrote something longer the dealer wouldn't have time to read it, respond and keep dealing at the same time anyway. So it was just a one sided back and forth, not a real discussion.

In other sites there is a single chat and it's so active that it's actually hard to follow, while there are thousands of players...

It's just my view that most online casinos could do many things to improve the social aspect of their sites. Not sure if there would be demand though.

It is different from the physical gambling but I think that in online gambling it can become better. It can become better in the sense that if you win big,no one knows but you can call friends and invite them to a pizza just for the sake of doing it,you can also go for dinner with your girlfriend or wife and the level of stress when playing online gambling is much better. When you play in a physical casino and you lose a lot the level of sadness and rage cannot be hidden from the people around you while when you gamble all alone no one would notice anything except your wife or closest relatives. That is that online gambling when you win it can boost your social aspect and I think it is better this way.
1126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 16, 2024, 07:12:19 PM
With the current performance of Manchester City now if they mange to enter the premier League first position I'm confident that they will surely win the league because ever since Kevin de Bruyne return from the injury Manchester City had been very consistent in performance.
It is not only because of the return of KDB, City usually get stronger when the season is approaching the run-in period and that's what is happening now and it is scary for the rest of the league. With Haaland, Stones and Akanji all set to return soon, City would soon be able to boast of a complete squad and they'll be ready to defend their crown.

Having said that, let us not forget about Liverpool who are going about their business without any noise or fuss, too many people didn't consider Liverpool at the start of the season, but now they are taking them serious and IMO if City don't win the league, Liverpool will.

I think it will be quite difficult for Manchester City despite the return of De Bryne for them.Liverpool is in the most outstanding position and they have a really solid team performance which is different compared to the other teams who rely more on individual skills like Manchester City and Tottenham for example. That is not enough to win you titles,of course Manchester City has won the title several times coming from behind but not because of their merit rather because of other teams losing points against teams in the bottom of the standings,I doubt Liverpool will be doing the same as they are not Arsenal.
1127  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: January 16, 2024, 06:41:56 PM
I am curious to know who are their targeted audience and at what age group. In general gambling people target countries like thailand more but probably this is not the case with crypto. Do they target nerds or total dumbs? How efficient they are between their marketing tactics?

The best is when they target worldwide marketing and get as many people to join them. They target based on 15-45 age in my opinion as this is the most active age of people gambling especially with crypto nowadays, some casinos target countries where gamblers are in mass there, kinda like IDR (Indonesian) as they make promotion there as no matter that is a majority of Muslims country there are quite a lot of gamblers there, this is just an example of how casinos target their audience.Of course they know where most of people who are quite tech savvy and also target those platforms. The best strategy is to hit a worldwide audience, kinda like Stake which will come with their own F1 team, called Team Stake F1 now in Formula1,ex Alfa Romeo is now team Stake F1.
1128  Economy / Gambling / Re: Football predictions for today on: January 16, 2024, 06:25:40 PM
I like copying other people bets so I gave it a try by betting all the FA cup games that play tonight with a simple bet of Over 2 in each game. The odd in total was just about 5 so I staked for fun 10 dollars from the monthly bonus I got,so no money from my own, whatever happens to this bet happens.I am quite confident though that most likely I would be winning this bet as most likely the teams playing against each other in the FA cup will be able to score at least 2 goals. The FA cup is really valued by the teams in England so this makes me think that goals will happen.
1129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: January 15, 2024, 07:59:53 PM
It depends on the situation.Yesterday I had a ticket with 25 games that I was waiting from some days and I had Tottenhem 0-2 Asian handicap meaning I would get the money back if Tottenham lost by 2 goals. When the first half ended the bookies tried to scare me with dramatically going down with the cash out value of such bet.Deep down I knew that Manchester United is not capable to beat with more than 2 goals difference Tottenham so I let it ride and won.

In other cases though when I was only waiting a game with odd over 2 and I was not sure what would happen I immediately cash out those type of bets,so in the end it depends on the type of situation.
1130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another question? Tell me your average amount per bet and your monthly income? on: January 15, 2024, 04:43:41 PM
Hello gamblers, this is a kind of survey aimed at getting to know my fellow gamblers better, particularly in the context of sports betting. I would like to know your average bet amount and your monthly income.

You don't need to provide exact figures; an estimate would suffice. Through this discussion, we can assess whether we are being too aggressive in our gambling habits or if we are playing it safe with our bets.

It is not always the same.It depends on my mood,if I think that I see some value in the games of a certain day I usually parlay them with some money, not a lot usually around 5% of my net income which is about 120 dollars and that is enough to try different bets during different days.Sometimes as I said if I see value I can even go all in and call it a day for a month and not play a single cent more, some other months I play like 5 dollars daily having fun in sport betting in a consecutive way,I usually copy other people bets when I am playing these 5 dollars daily.I never overdo it so I am never aggressive in the sense that I never go further this limit of 120 dollars monthly whatever happens to my bets.

He doesn't want to be back in a small team but he want something big.

Of course he would want that. The technical directors of the so called "small teams" sure they are in the F1 circus but they are there without enjoying any success, not winning a single race like in the case of this guy.It is only natural for him now that the experience he has gotten from such a small team to bring to another team, also learn from the ones in the this new big team,it is just how life goes in general, even normal persons,we start working at a company, specialize in something and then we move on into a new company where we specialize even more,so his desire is the most natural of all.
1132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does it looks responsible as woman telling husband you gamble? on: January 15, 2024, 03:25:24 PM
Quite sometimes now i have been active in the gambling section and have pick interest to start gambling i have gone through lots of material in both the forum, i have seen that I can control my emotion as well as controlling my finance this includes;

  • Not involving myself in a revenge gambling
  • Not chasing profit after lost
  • Not involving oneself into compulsive gambling
  • Not solely replying on every game to be 100 percent correct
  • Not hoping that gamble is guaranteed
  • Not gambling with all my income or salaries
  • Among all, gambling for fun and not to enrich oneself

The point is my husband doesn't know that i have been secretly gambling and involving myself with gambling discussions and the rest, So, this morning when i woke something in me keeps telling me i should let him know to understand my involvement  to practice gambling.

Does this worth telling him or not please i need you collective ideas.

It depends. If he is a pussy all house and church and is afraid of all what people might perceive as unhealthy activities it is better to not tell him that you are involved in such activities. In case he is a real man then even if you tell him I don't think he will make a big mess about it and most likely accept what you have been doing, maybe he will start giving some advices and monitor you more than before but overall I don't think it will be a big problem for him.In the end as you see depend on the type of guy your husband is.
1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling and religious restrictions on: January 15, 2024, 02:49:12 PM
Talking with someone that is Muslim yesterday, it was suggested to me that many Muslims around the world might be using crypto to circumvent the strict treatment of gambling in predominantly Muslim countries.

It was an interesting concept to consider that since crypto can be used to conceal your spending, it is probably also used by people who want to gamble to avoid the consequences based on religious practices.

But the more interesting side of this is that some probably interpret gambling with crypto as permissible under religious rules. Not exactly 100% approved let's say but not explicitly forbidden either.

So what do you think about this? Does gambling with crypto mean that laws about gambling being Haram don't apply all the time?
I was thinking that of crypto is earned outside of one's regular job, for example as a reward for activities such as bounties or sweepstakes, then maybe gambling with these earnings insta Haram?

These concepts are interesting to me because most Christian people like me, while having our religion dictate that gambling is a very serious sin, most do it anyway. Basically most christians aren't very pious at all and don't follow religion rules at least in my experience. So using loopholes to circumvent religious rules when your country even endorsed certain casinos isn't needed that much. So it's interesting to observe these differences.

That is a well known fact.I assume it is happening everywhere but from my experience I have seen in Stake casino a lot of Muslim nicknames there gambling the hell out of it and also being high in VIP ranks, meaning they have wagered a lot. This I think happens commonly in many other casinos as crypto truly bypass the Muslim countries restrictions, with a bank account they are still limited by identity while in crypto no one can stop anyone,a major beauty point of crypto.
1134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making too many picks reduces chances of winning. on: January 15, 2024, 01:47:07 PM
As gamblers, we love more action, so we tend to make more bets on a regular basis. However, experts say that when we make too many picks regularly, our chances of winning decrease. This is due to the fact that we won't be able to analyze all the games carefully that are in our ticket and won't have the advantage needed to win. So instead, it's recommended that we should value quality over quantity if we want to succeed in sports betting.

Share your opinion regarding this matter.

That is true but it is also one factor that reflects your personality as it shows what are you aiming for,a single bet to win and be happy with that max of 3-10x multiplier or are you betting like 25 games in a single parlay trying your luck in wanting to hit that super huge multiplier which we see more in slot machines rather than in sport betting.Of course the more picks the less chances but the amount to be won is huge so it all depends on what is your reason and what you want to win.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: January 15, 2024, 12:21:10 PM
And it's true, as you said, that the Roma players seemed to lose direction in the match because the coach couldn't accompany them in carrying out any instructions that were played on the field. In fact, I feels sorry for this club because they seemed to be struggling in running the match, but in my opinion This defeat was normal because Milan performance was much better than Roma.

Many say they have to look for new players in this season's transfer window. I think that is good advice. Mou needs several players who can fill some of the gaps that have been Roma's weaknesses so far. I see they don't have a good playmaker who can regulate the rhythm of the match. They also don't have a good defense. I see that they don't have a strong defender or at least a player who can command the defense to appear more solid. I think Roma at least need a few players to cover that gap.

Roma is not expecting anything in this season regarding winning a trophy and I think also Mourinho does not expect wins either regarding European trophies. They don't have the players and resources but that does not mean anything, they will take games one by one and if they see that it is possible to have a go at winning an European trophy then by all means they will do the maximum in their power to achieve such trophy.
1136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 15, 2024, 08:37:47 AM
forcing bets is never a good way to go. I would recommend only betting on days that you feel you have an edge.

Some gamblers feel that way every day and they cannot conceptualize that day without placing bets.I agree with most of them but I would say that on specific days like a Thursday when there are not a lot of well known leagues playing it would be not a wise idea to place bets on such days.Personally I keep betting everyday hoping to hit that massive win which is years I am looking for without any success  Grin.
1137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a means to an end, Do it for fun and don't take it as a job on: January 15, 2024, 07:57:40 AM
sometimes the situation is quite different, most people who have a small economy often get caught up in gambling and use it as a hope, in contrast to people who have enough economy they gamble with pleasure

The problem is that even people with good economy start gambling for pleasure but soon after they get sucked into lost sessions one after another which leads them too in a gambling addiction. There is nothing different, even though different type of persons start gambling for different reasons the end result is the same, both categories in the end are prone to gambling addiction, some a bit more some a bit less,in the end both categories have this risk.
1138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: January 15, 2024, 07:15:52 AM
I don't agree that successful gamblers are addicts. why is that? because I still see some people who are even new to the world of gambling and immediately take the gambling chair. and at that moment he won the gambling. is that person an addict? I don't think so. they just got lucky and then left and never came back again at least not for a long time.

That would be nice but the problem is that no matter if that person new to gambling won and got away I think still he would be back at some time so most likely they will become addict as they will think that winning is easy and will keep losing becoming true gamblers.I don't know anyone that has done just that, won big and moved away from gambling and enjoyed life and never looked back.Difficult to do that so we have yet to see one such person.
1139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: January 14, 2024, 10:11:44 PM
This year we don't have a clear favorite for winning the Champions League, even Manchester City who looked like the strongest team in their domestic league they are having some volatility and suffering some bad results, the same for Barcelona and Real Madrid, also for Bayern Munchen who for me are the top 4 strongest contenders to the Champions League title. For the Italian teams Inter is doing pretty well in their domestic league but since they were in just one half 3 goals down in a game of Champions against Benfica at group stages this shows they are more fragile than the strongest contenders. The other teams we don't know their capability but surely they look much down in performance compared to these top teams.
1140  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: January 14, 2024, 09:44:36 PM

I think it's just a beginner who is new to gambling because if he has been around gambling for a long time it's impossible not to know Stake, isn't Stake a big site where they collaborate with many famous people from athletes and others, even their site logo is also displayed on several sports, Besides, it's strange if someone thinks Stake took $22 even though they often give out free money and even on social media they share more than that amount.

Whoever it is, I'm sure it's only a beginner who doesn't know Stake because I believe that almost the average online gambler in this world knows Stake, I have a work friend who is just actively gambling online, he already knows Stake because he has seen the Stake logo when watching a match. Everton so he found out about the Stake site by doing research that they were a fairly large casino. It's actually important to do research so that beginners can know more about Stake.  Grin

Most online gamblers or people that are interested in crypto casinos will know Stake but how effective is it outside that? I have 2 buddies that watch a lot of UFC and although Stake has a partnership with the UFC and their logo is everywhere, they never heard of Stake. Granted, they are not interested in gambling also.

Stake has even their F1 team now and a lot of people love F1.The ex Alpha Romeo team now it is called Stake F1 team showing how healthy their finances and marketing division are. That is worldwide promotion for people that know crypto and even those who don't they will search "Stake F1 team" and learn all about what this is.They sponsor some English sport teams like Everton which plays in the Premier League and even if they go a division lower they will find a new team in the top division.Stake is well known in most gambling circles,I have asked some friends who don't really own any crypto and they know Stake just because of these aggressive marketing campaigns they do.
