When you see it where? 100 dollars at MtGox are 100 dollars. They will only become bitcoins if you decide to buy bitcoins with that money.

It's not that bad, but it isn't SEPA I'm at Tradehill now.
|
|

Sorry. Misspell. I mean "you must trade in euros" You only do a SEPA transfer with euros and, with euros, you can only buy bitcoins at the EUR market.

Currently they have different markets for different currencies. So yes, you must trade in USD euros. But I think they are considering the conversion to/from USD...

Tradehill and Camp BX. I don't like MtGox very much... Their client support is not very good and there are still many people complaining about the attack.
Tradehill is the second largest. They are very communicative here at the forums and they have just enabled euro transfers, which is a big plus for me. Camp BX is young, but they look very professional. They have some advanced trading options (such as short selling), but they're waiting until they have more volume to enable them... See my signature if you consider to sign up.

Where are you trading? At MtGox your money is always converted from EUR to USD when you deposit because you can only trade in USD. Tradehill has different markets for different currencies. If you have euros you can only trade in the EUR market (but you can buy bitcoins in euros and sell them in dollars, for example). However, Tradehill is considering the possibility for money conversion. You can follow the discussion here: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=30198.msg380408#msg380408

SEPA transfers take a few days. Tomorrow you will probably start to see some activity

Well frankly if they want professional merchants to trust or use the site then they should strongly consider renaming it to "staging area for new sites" or something sensible.
Very few merchants have a sense of humor when it comes to handling their money.
Stack Overflow is probably the best programming-related website in the world (and there are many!). Any serious programmer knows stackoverflow and has asked question/searched for answers there. What you see now has nothing to do with a future bitcoin website there. This is a staging area only. Neither the skin nor the name will be the same. We only want to create a Q&A site about bitcoins using the same software as Stack Overflow, Super User, etc.

Rounding was an attempt at keeping the order book clean of strange fractions. If one more user points it out, we will have to get rid of the rounding ;-)
- Keyur
It doesn't bother me much and you're right, the order book sure looks clean... Still, I would round it to 0.01
|
|
|
On an unrelated note, what's the deal with the rounding? I had 5.99 BTC in my account, but you wouldn't let me trade that. I had to dig up a bitcent somewhere...

This really depends on the kind of audience you are talking to. Geeks will be more interested in mining and an economist will want probably want to know more about the market and other currency related details. But overall, I like that cnbc article

Why don't you just buy a few?
|
|

Or you could just mine at EMC. They have paypal withdrawals

Hum... You're right. I didn't notice that it was a reservation. 6990 is probably equipped with alien technology and the government wants to destroy them all.
