1146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin 'real money' to you? on: January 06, 2016, 02:33:36 PM
Bitcoin is not real money to me. I used it for investment and sometime gambling but I consider it as a cryptocurrency. Not real fiat.

BItcoin is Not real fiat because bitcoin is onlinecurrency, for me Money is something can use to trade or buying anything and i can use bitcoin to buying anything....
Buy goods directly in my area are now able to use bitcoin, for example in the area I rented a car, buy a carton of milk, buying clothes can already use bitcoin.
But I agree that bitcoin is not real money because bitcoin crypto just not real but a medium of exchange exchange tool online

crypto is part of money, and crypto is money , you must know some kind of money
read this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Money

BITCOIN IS MONEY
1147  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: January 06, 2016, 02:29:37 PM
Bitcoin is always safe. But many people are missing their actions towards securing their wallet and allowing the hackers to access their wallets and blaming bitcoin ecosystem. As long as you keep your wallets safely, bitcoin will remain safer for you.

the safety wallet for me is hardware wallet and paperwallet, also bitcoin QT wallet ( must use strong passphare/pasword, and back up it) some people use online wallet service, and they are not know if online wallet can shutdown his service, or online wallet can acces his bitcoin then our bitcoin stolen and lost it

and i believe BItcoin is safe

Yes i agree with you. Bitcoin is safe if you save your bitcoin into hardware wallet or paperwallet, because if you have big amount of bitcoin and you save it on online wallet. it's a bit risky imo.

Even with smaller amounts or any amount of bitcoins, its still not secure to store it on an online/web based wallet. Its really risky coz if something happened bad with the site, your bitcoins there will be affected. Just store it on a cold storage to be safer.

i think we need online service like blockchain.info , coinbase.com , because we can acces our wallet in more platform , we need only browser + internet acces to acces online wallet, and i think save some satosi (maybe arround 0.1btc) is still safe

1149  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-01-06] ‘Blockchain is Coming to Disrupt Your Industry,’ Says Deloitte on: January 06, 2016, 02:07:43 PM
The most popular thing about blockchain that we have been facing over and over again sounds like “this technology is able to turn this world around”. One more expert opinion comes from Deloitte University Press.

The source, known for original articles, reports, and periodicals concerning business, public sector and NGOs, advices to speed on blockchain as “the technology can potentially make a great many things more secure and accountable: financial transactions, micropayments, IoT applications, health records, corporate audits, and more”. Some time ago Deloitte has partnered with the Israeli coloured coins startup Colu to boost the use of the blockchain technology in different sectors.

1150  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-01-06]bitcoinist.net : Sweden to go Cashless, Hope for Bitcoin? on: January 06, 2016, 02:04:06 PM
Sweden: The Potential Bitcoin Economy
In what could easily be the biggest “opening” for digital currency, Sweden is looking to swear off fiat money for good. That means no more paper money, no more coins, virtual means from here on out.

This is exactly what Bitcoin and its creators have wanted all along for every country. Bitcoin can aid nations, particularly unbanked ones, and put financial power back in the hands of the people, and now it looks as if Sweden is taking the hint and doing everything bitcoin has wanted for the world.

1151  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-01-06] Bitcoin Is Temporarily Stable Waiting For Active Players on: January 06, 2016, 02:02:47 PM
Yesterday the pair BTC:USD was trading in a sideways trend of $428 - $433. The price  has reached a top of $433, thus forming an ascending triangle. But there was not enough effort to move up. The market froze in uncertainty. Both the bullish trend and bearish trend are now possible. A breakthrough by one of the parties would mean a shift in the price of at least $20, up to $455 or down to $410.

The reason for this is the strengthened position of the US Dollar in recent days, which today is in high demand among players. Yesterday, the Dollar again showed a strong position on foreign exchange markets. Today we expect a number of news items from the United States to be released, namely:

BITCOIN ISN’T THE only way of sending digital money across the Internet. There’s also Ripple. And Stellar. And Litecoin. And Ethereum. And so many others. Bitcoin is by far the most popular. But every so often, some developers or an entrepreneur or a company will decide we need something better. A coder named Jeb McCaleb built Ripple as a better bitcoin. Then he built Stellar as a better Ripple. And he’s not the only one.

1153  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-01-06] New Bitcoin Exchange Coinlink.net is Launched on: January 06, 2016, 01:51:42 PM
Launched in July 2015, coinlink.net is a new promising bitcoin trading platform, registered in UK, it offers the flexibility for members to trade bitcoins by placing buy or sell limit orders, and accept bitcoin payments in their e-commerce websites as merchants.

The platform only supports USD for trading; however, the company took into consideration the fact that users from different countries would rather deposit funds in their local currencies than in USD, so the platform automatically converts those funds to the users’ USD balance using market exchange rates from the company’s banking partners.

1157  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-01-06] cryptocoinsnews.com :Cryptsy: Mt. Gox Junior? on: January 06, 2016, 01:43:50 PM
This writer has received more complaints about Cryptsy since his last story on the subject than he has billing notices. Seriously. Some of them were messages of support, some were further complaints. Most of them had a common theme: Cryptsy won’t let the customer withdraw his or her funds.

Within the last 24 hours, Cryptsy had some serious downtime. Their message was simple and, at this point, expected: “Trade engine and withdrawals paused while we investigate cause of lag. Your patience is appreciated. Thank you.”

Something should be gotten out of the way: with as many dissatisfied customers as Cryptsy has, a distributed denial of service attack is definitely not out of the question. Certainly a cyber attack like that is less expensive than a lawsuit, less time-consuming than going to the government, who reportedly are already investigating Cryptsy in several ways, and more effective at disrupting their business model. For those who believe the exchange is an elaborate scam, it may be considered a public service: if no one can use the site, no one can be scammed by it.

As we expected, yesterday the Bitcoin price trend continued sideways at $430. Currently the level of resistance is about $430 and buyers can not overcome this level. However, sellers can not seize the initiative at the moment either. Market players are waiting and are in no hurry to open long or short positions.

Blockchain.info My Wallets grows to +12000 new registrations per day. The trend chart shows a parabolic curve that implies a hundred million users by 2020. But how reliable is this data in regards to the number of new users entering the world of Bitcoin..
Founded in 2011, Blockchain.info is one of the oldest companies in the Bitcoin market, and their online wallet one of the most used, together with the Coinbase one. Blockchain’s charts page is a good source of data, reflecting a large part of the market, and the last month has seen a further boost in the parabolic curve of wallets registration.
