I will put a bet on Augsburg also against Schalke and they for sure can win that match at home.
A diffrent and hard to say is the game today between Wolfsburg and Frankfurt .
But i will place my bet for Wolfsburg as they was playing well the last times .
FSV Mainz 05 vs. FC Koln - 1
FC Augsburg vs. FC Schalke 04 - 1
Bayer 04 Leverkusen vs. TSG 1899 Hoffenheim - 1
Above my picks for the Betnomi Top Leagues Predictor – 1 BTC main prize. I see the outcome of these bundesliga games quite established and it seems many agree with me.

If you guys haven't placed your bets over there I invite you to do so

You clearly don't need to get the best out of bitcoin. If you don't care about its best properties which I enumerate for you below:
  • Decentralization
  • Censorship resistance
  • Pseudonimity
  • Open Source
  • Permissionless
  • Transaction Immutability
  • Consensus rather than command and control
well, bitcoin is not for you. Have an eToro account and make your fake trading for profit over there.
1163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Investors Get BTC So Wrong, and What it Says About its strenghts on: December 11, 2020, 03:22:14 PM
That's it for you and you correctly point out that the number of fools who believe in those silly shitcoin forks is damn too high. I don't care about that much from the moment I know very well the real Bitcoin mechanics. Let the fools believe what they want, if they don't get that there's only one BTC, that's their problem, not ours.

1165  Economy / Economics / Re: Fidelity President Files For New Bitcoin Fund on: December 11, 2020, 03:06:24 PM
For those who are fortunate enough to have, let's say, more than 10BTC I trust that strategy makes complete sense. I'd rather do that than cash out and create a taxable event.
When even the big guys will feel confident doing it the moon is getting very near.
1166  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Treasuries on: December 09, 2020, 07:59:13 AM
There is not only Grayscale and the BTPE Funds: also the Canadian fund from 3iq is doing well:

Please note the reference to BTC as unit of account!
Holy shit!  This seriously makes me wonder if these corporations know something bad is around the corner--like hyperinflation, perhaps?

It's unimaginable to me that publicly-traded companies would be snapping up all the bitcoin they can buy for their treasuries or whatever else, even in a bitcoin bull market.  It's extremely risky either way, and I get the feeling that these companies see owning bitcoin as a less risky alternative to the dollar or whatever fiat currency they normally kept in reserve.  That's actually kind of frightening if you think about it, but I hope I'm wrong and these corporations are just bullish on bitcoin.
Do you really think these supermassive fiat money conglomerates are really worried if buying $500, $1000 or $5000 more per coin? I don't think so. They are setting their agenda out in plain sight and it is like a hug f*** you to those asset and wealth management firms which kept saying bitcoin was a joke for the last 5 years.
MSTR showed us they basically moved on their own getting their btc on Coinbase (jeez, coinbase!).
Of course, it's frightening to think how these entities are moving the market but that is unavoidable now. Bitcoin has no owners and we can all be owners. Don't play with the sharks  Wink
1167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin at risk of regulation? on: December 09, 2020, 07:52:47 AM
Bitcoin as a protocol will probably be free of regulation: the ecosystem moving around bitcoin (being miners, devs, holders, etc.) get to decide how to treat the protocol. Mostly are devs who get their say, and I think that's right.
If you think of bitcoin in terms of its relationship with fiat money nothing stops the old world to regulate bitcoin as a value exchange mechanism: there you will have KYC, AML and all the rest of it. And, remember, that is unavoidable, don't be so naive.
You get to decide on which side you rather prefer to move to. Will you remain in bitcoin or will you go to the old world? It's up to you to decide.

One day we can finally leave EmptyGox behind us. It will be a good day, pitty it has such a long shadow.
Empty Gox! I always enjoy laughing like crazy in the morning... Empty Gox!  Grin
Getting back serious I do feel the same, it can't be real that something like it can still have a huge grip on the market. That's what we get considering we're talking about a whole lotta coins.
1169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: December 09, 2020, 07:35:15 AM
Two unbelievable things happened yesterday: Barcelona got smashed really bad by Juventus (what an amazing score by the American player Weston McKennie!) and a very unfortunate series of events which caused PSG - BSK to cancel the match. These actions should be a thing of the past.
1170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: December 08, 2020, 02:54:23 PM
Barcelona - Juventus seems the only nice game to watch tonight. CR7 and Leo Messi are once again one against the other and I think that tonight Messi will win this personal game once more. I do not see Juve having many chances of winning (the odds also are very much against the guys from Turin). In terms of the next phase, the game has nothing to say because both teams have already passed this stage.
1171  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything you wanted to know about BTC options but were afraid to ask! on: December 08, 2020, 02:34:43 PM
I wish I could understand this better but I am a total fool within this field and I would not even know where to start! I will try to re-read gmaxwell's interview and re-read again your post because I feel so stupid that I can't get anywhere around it. Thank you very much for this detailed post, you must have dedicated quite some time to it.
1172  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitamp Bitcoin Web Wallet - Send & Receive Bitcoin Instantly! on: December 08, 2020, 02:30:03 PM
My personal take after a first test drive:
  • UI - Sleek and easy to use, switching between functions and tabs looks good
  • Tx fees - As others have already noted, I would prefer to be able to set my own fees so let's say a custom options would be great
  • Lightning - Any ETA regarding when this will be ready?
I could suggest this wallet for newcomers who would like to have a quick start with BTC and I will reserve to modify my review in the future.  Wink
1173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who has held bitcoin for more than 5 years? on: December 08, 2020, 02:04:19 PM
Hey Guys,
Just curious to see who has held bitcoin on this forum for more than 5 years?
And also, if you've sold it, when did you got in and when did you sold out?

Cheers!

I still have a full coin from 2015 (that makes it five years!) I remember betting with a friend about that! I should have bought and held 10 full coins not only one from 2015! I was already very skilled in terms of how to use btc but I didn't go the extra mile. Still, I feel good today knowing I was able to extend and preserve my wealth and hopefully that of my kids.
But there's no assurance that the market price will continue increasing in the future, so doing so won't benefit you, just my two cents.
But that depends on your goal as an investor. If you are just aiming to experience having an amount of it, then holding for a longer period of time would be fine. But if you are into profit, I won't suggest holding for that long, because there's still a possibility for its market value to depreciate. Thus, it would be better to analyze the market, perhaps in this case.
It's clear that we both have two completely different approaches because I do not wish to sell anything and, actually, I am accumulating as much as I can and I am glad I was able to get a nice buy during the super drop which occurred in March 2020 after the covid-19 outbreak. I trust bitcoin will continue to progress both on the development and adoption level, hence I have no incentives to sell anytime soon.

FOR THOSE WITH A CLOSED VIEW
I see those crappy cryptocurrencies getting called shitcoins more and more often! That feels good.
Soon there will be no coin below 0.01 BTC they will all get smashed in btc value.
1176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Investors Get BTC So Wrong, and What it Says About its strenghts on: December 07, 2020, 03:10:53 PM
Investors are not necessarily smart people, and in this particular case to say that the max supply of Bitcoin is not the final 21 million because we have xx cases of forks is completely meaningless. Well, for one man who has an average IQ it shouldn’t be hard to understand that anyone can make their own version of Bitcoin, the whole thing is free and requires only little technical knowledge. All this, of course, does not change the fact that copies are just copies and there can be thousands of them - all of them will eventually lose even the little meaning they still have.

Why do these smart investors think that most would opt for the alt BTC just because its price is lower than the original, so the investment is cheaper? We know who is Roger Ver Judas or Faketoshi CW - they can literally stab their versions with a fork and swallow them with all those lies they packed them into.
The copies have already shown the world how valueless they are: those copycats have not brought any value to the ecosystem (actually they were only another good way for bitcoiners to get some more coins!), they drained some volume, liquidity and dominance from the big guyBTC which slowly catching up.
Investors were fooled into believing that there could be better bitcoins: they have learned nothing in 11 years. And the media continues to write this crap!
1177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Four Years of Living on Bitcoin Alone. Can You Beat That? Is that even possible? on: December 07, 2020, 03:06:29 PM
If I was in these guys shoes I would be very careful to stop doing what they are doing and ejoying some cooling off transition time. They can become an easy target for criminals wanting to get some bitcoin. I would be very afraid to know that the whole world knows about me and my BTC. OpSec first guys.

I will also tell you that people do different things for different reason. I don't think their intent was to show the world the amount of Bitcoin in their wallet but to sell themselves to the world as Bitcoin champions and evangelists. In fact most people wouldn't even care to know the amount of Bitcoin they have but would likely question how possible that claim was. Of course, no one can accurately guess the quantity of Bitcoin assets the family holds. But the publicity their decisions and actions are getting them is the real winner.

Whatever their reason I would have never done the same. That is not my way of showing the world why to get into bitcoin: once a target, always a target. I truly admire those who can put their face forward, however, that is not something I would do considering what the price of bitcoin could be in 3-5 years. I mean, good for them.
1178  Economy / Economics / Re: Valour Launches World's First Fee-Free Bitcoin Exchange Traded Product (ETP) on: December 07, 2020, 02:57:40 PM
I guess what I wrote was clear because I am only saying that instead of leveraging the real deal (bitcoin as an asset) they are re-branding it for the oldies so that they are more accustomed to something they already know. Being a bitcoiner I will stick to the real deal leaving them playing with the synthetic drug. Easy.
I believe that not grasping the very characteristics for investing in bitcoin (scarcity, censorship resistance, easy transferability...) is a big mistake.

1180  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin retirement account on: December 06, 2020, 10:47:34 AM
It is very risky to make Bitcoin a retirement investment, it must be remembered that Bitcoin is very volatile and only 11 years old.
So it doesn't guarantee that in the future Bitcoin will still exist, But if we see the demand for Bitcoin continues to increase, we believe
Bitcoin is very good as a retirement investment. Instead of being confused, it is better to divide it into two retirement investments.
Some retirement in Bitcoin and some can be in gold or fiat. That's the best step for retirement plan.
Today a good percentage of my savings goes into bitcoin as a retirement option. Nonetheless, having some traditional umbrellas it's good too.
Long-term care, life insurance etc. can all be a good complimentary plan. I want my kids to be able to never have to worry about me in the future and I guess with some BTC and some insurance they shouldn't be worrying much. If all turns out good, I will be enjoying a nice retirement and will get some security for their future.
