121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin regular savings on: April 06, 2018, 12:32:50 PM
why would you sell ? You're not scared that it goes up way more ? Could easily double from here.

Well it really depend on the goal you set when you started to invest. If you become too greedy, you might also regret sometimes. Like if you need some money and the current price is too low that it would have been useful if you had sold it when it was high. There is really no point if you will only hold your bitcoin with no specific goal and cannot use it because you are till waiting and waiting.
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My advice to Bitcoin newbies: relax on: April 06, 2018, 12:28:46 PM
Hello everyone, recently there has been a lot of panic on this forum due to the big price change of Bitcoin (as it always happens). Understandably, many people are confused and worried as they have lost thousands in their value, especially if they have bought higher than the current price. But as someone who has been into Bitcoin for 1.5 years (not too long, I know) I want to advice to newcomers to simply relax. Huge price swing were always a part of Bitcoin, so there's nothing extraordinary here and the worst thing you can do is to make panic trades. Basically, there are two main approaches to Bitcoin trading - you either hodl it, meaning you never sell it until it reached "the moon", or you are actively trading it to get profit from volatility. So, if you believe in Bitcoin's technology and don't have experience as a trader, I suggest you to not touch your coins - Bitcoin always tends to increase in its value in the long run.

Im really looking forward that what you're saying is true. I am also new to this world (less than a year) and also experienced dip in the prices of cryptocurrencies but man, this current drop takes too long and too low and really scared me. There are so many times I wanted to pull out all my coins but I get courage from reading threads in this forum that all will be alright.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your plan? on: April 06, 2018, 07:01:53 AM
By plan i mean when do you plan to cash out. Is it when you have made enough to buy a car, a house maybe? or are you setting your sights higher?

Personally i'd just like to own my own home, after that i would just play with spare change.

I dont think it is really the best time to cash out at the moment, since the prices are so down. Its really scary the drops in price in the market and I though the dip was already over but then it still has gone lower. If you think crypto is over, then maybe you should cash out already.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 99% OF ALL AIRDROPS ARE SCAMS!!!!! on: April 06, 2018, 06:36:21 AM
No, this is only 2018 current condition. If I compare with last year (2017) there are many legit airdrops. Like BLUE, ELTCOIN, EREAL, BITWHITE, REBL, and many more. So, I can say 2018 is the worst time for airdrop. I think the last Airdrop which gives good token was POLYMATH.

Totally agree with you. Although this year's airdrops are mostly unreliable (mostly asks for donation so basically an irony to being free), last year's airdrops really went to markets, EBTC is one of the airdrops to and I know a lot of my friends were fortunate to receive that time.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Panic Sell ? / Chance on: March 31, 2018, 01:43:08 PM
I see panic selling as a chance to caught up in investment. Last year by December, when bitcoin price was so high I thought I could never reach to invest at least 1 bitcoin, but the current dip in btc price proved mo wrong. I'll take the chance and buy while it is down (and eth too) and hope it will stabilize months later and earn double profit at last.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Party's over. Go get a job, you lazy animals... on: March 31, 2018, 10:57:20 AM
Well you really have to live what is in the present. You cant complain why we are giving precious attention to bitcoin and altcoins because we see that it is valuable now. People in different eras have different valuable things that seemed absurd in todays generation. If you hate crypto, avoid it.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy when market is Red on: March 31, 2018, 10:45:15 AM
Buy when market is Red, a trick to successful trading. Also dont put buy orders ahead of time.

Yes this is basic I have known as person buying while the market is red but until when he is buying is the question. What if the market goes on 2-5 months and still no rise in price. And when you empty your cash reserve then the coins you bought will hit its bottom. Its not really that simple if you really want to earn big.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long should one have to wait to sell on: March 31, 2018, 10:27:20 AM
Bitcoin keep on falling down  and no sign of raising. How long can we keep holding?

The main rule in holding is that you should hold until you get a large percentage of profit. Now, if you are going to sell at the moment where prices in crypto are low, (still recovering), it would defeat the purpose of profit because Im sure you have bought your coins more than the price now (except if you bought bitcoin 2 years ago).
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price recovering slowly on: March 31, 2018, 10:24:51 AM
Well I think there are so many of us hoping this would happen after buying eth (and other altcoins) during its dip. I was also saving some and was hoping that I could get 100% or more profit from my savings. If this continues, tons of holders will be celebrating but those who were scared and sold their eth, I hope no regret will come for them.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum under $400 will be a good buy or ? on: March 31, 2018, 05:57:30 AM
I think $400 eth price is already a good deal. You can wait for it to drop more but since we cant know how long it will stay low or rise, I think its better to grab the chance while it there. Even at $400, when the price of ethereum goes back to $800, you still get the 100% profit with that.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can world Government Kill Crypto? on: March 31, 2018, 05:53:33 AM
"Regardless, just because South Korea, China, the US and other countries can crush Bitcoin by issuing new regulations and influencing cryptocurrency prices, it doesn’t mean they can kill it".  The above quote is from the research information I got when I was trying to find out why world government is fighting crypto. Please read the full text here: https://www.ccn.com/fighting-bitcoin-cryptocurrency-trading-threat-government-policies/ and make your own contributions. It will help cool the nerves from the crypto dip we are experiencing recently. Happy reading. Thanks

With the volatility and unstable state of bitcoin, I think it is really easy for the government to kill bitcoin. Look at it when even just one country start banning, the prices fell like rain, now imagine at least 5 countries banning the possession of bitcoin, say US, China, Russia, plus 2 others which have lots of investors, I dont think bitcoin will survive.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is selling Bitcoin? on: March 31, 2018, 05:07:34 AM
Everyone in here is desperate to convince each other the Bitcoin can only go up and therefore you have to buy and hold.

But when you buy Bitcoin, someone is selling it to you.

Why are people selling Bitcoin?

The knowledgeable people are the ones who are now slowly selling out before the bubble bursts. When you are now buying more and more Bitcoin ("investing" as people in here call it) who do you think you are buying them from?

You are buying from the knowledgeable people who are slowly getting rid of their Bitcoin.

We cant really blame others if they sell their coin even with the dip in price. We re not the same in status, so they could be needing their money right away and no choice to hold it even if they wanted to. Some could be newbies, who are afraid about it fear they will ultimately lose their money so instead, sell it and get at least half of their capital.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you want to increase the price of Bitcoin then promote it everywhere around u on: March 31, 2018, 05:05:07 AM
I also think this is a great way to increase the price of bitcoin and other altcoins, by promoting it ourselves. As long as there are many involve in investing crypto, I  think this will also make the price higher. Actually, when I started participating and gotten involve in cryptoworld, I was kind of silent to my friends, but when I realize it would be a help if more people know about it, I started explaining to my friends about it.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your strategy in trading on: March 30, 2018, 06:31:52 AM
For me the best technique should be holding your coins, as long as you hold until 2-5 years later, its definitely going to make you earn profit. But the downside is that the timetable is still too long and your money will stand by. If you really want to trade, try the spread method. Ive heard this is effective method in trading.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with the rewards you received? on: March 30, 2018, 04:01:20 AM
I am familiar with people who also participate in generosity companies. Some of them do not rush to sell received Tokines, others on the contrary, immediately after the issue of tokens the exchange is sold. My friend advised me to send them to EtherDelta. When receiving tokens, place orders for the sale of x2 - x10 (depending on the project) and just wait until they are purchased.
What do you do with the received tokens?

It really depends on the coins and the status of the coins in the market. Once, I have also sold immediately when I saw that the price is steadily going down with no higher buy orders, so I panicked and sold. Some of my rewards though are kept and waiting for bigger price to sell.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in ICO, still promising? on: March 30, 2018, 03:57:15 AM
I am a person that gains profit from investing in ICOs but now I'm having second thoughts. I know some ICOs are potential scam so I am really picky to where I put my money.
Anyway, considering with what happened to Ethereum price and with the nearing Aigist 1, do you guys think that it will still be profitable to invest on ICOs mostly on ERC20 tokens and those accepting btc payments?

I do not think at this time the ICO projects have become worse than they were for example a year ago. I think that only 10% of all projects are really effective. And this is normal. This is just statistics, you can not be against it.

Yes its true that ICOs are becoming worse and there are so many that fail and just leave the campaign, investors and bounty participants. If you scan the ann thread and bounties thread, you'll find out how many have failed (of intentionally scammed) and just shut their thread.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum - The ship is about to sink? on: March 30, 2018, 03:46:43 AM
You might have the point but I still had high hopes for ethereum. If you notice, there are still so many ICO that are based in ethereum and the current dip in crypto price has not affected it yet. But if what you say is true, I hope Ill be able to know so I can prepare for conversion to other altcoins.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy the Dip - again... on: March 30, 2018, 03:42:47 AM
I think you have overly invested in crypto. Im new to this but Ive read one of the most important tips in investment. Since cryptocurrency investment is so volatile, you cant invest o much what you cant afford to lose. This may be so common phrase but it is really important for investors not to be dried out.

140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy or Sell...??? on: March 26, 2018, 03:48:26 PM
in my opinion, we just enjoy the period where bitcoin value goes down, if you have more money you can buy it. Do not be too imposed to wait for high bitcoin numbers to sell, if you need them, please sell some of your bitcoin.

I agree with you. Even with the current dip of cryptocurrency, it really doesn't bother investors and holders which are planning to hold for years until they get a fortune, some even buy more. But if you need the money then you have no choice but to sell, if not then hold it and forget about it until 5 years or more.
