Leave the marketing to bitcoin, then just say, "Like bitcoin, but private."  The problem is on the surface a lot of people don't realize just how big of a deal this actually is. (Transaction privacy) Now if someone were to publically start mining the blockchain and map payments to companies and aggregate them together based on likely related addresses, and then scour the web for all mentions of bitcoin addresses to link individuals, whether it be a pseudonym or actual identity to an address block... Well then maybe some of the ardent anti-altcoin bitcoiners would come around. Are you suggesting, perhaps, a crowdsourced Bitcoin Directory? Heh, might get some attention. This is one of the best ideas I've heard in a long time. A simple page where you post a Bitcoin address that automagically links to an IP address, then searches the web for any trace of that IP address. (irc logs, what not) Brilliant! This stuff is coming. I don't know how you guys are doing. Why should it go down ? Only because there will be two weeks before next update ? You guys are only playing lottery and you don't care about any coin itself. Crypto is getting more and more the ugliest market to be and thats the reason why this markets will never go mainstream. Its time go get out of these markets for me completly. Let the banksters play their game on its own, we dont ever have a chance to change things with our own behaviour. I can remember things a few months ago as i was happy to transter money from EU to australia using cryptos without paying paypal a huge fee. Times you can do that is over. Even the best crypto projets can't stay stabile over 1 week. Crypto is getting the worst place to be. How should new people enter these markets ? You can't convince a friend using crypto without jeopardize friendship. Too much fud,scam and ugly people in this business. 2 weeks in crypto is a long time, people are not clued up on darkcoin, so they see "2 weeks RC4" and then panic dump to release liquidity for them self's, they then buy other coins to make profit to buy more drks before the new RC comes out. See it all the time. |

I think Camo's scenario is only an issue if everyone is using the exact same mixing depth. Differences in user-selected mixing depth create more or less randomized exit points, no? With volume, I'm not sure how you can provably link a sum entering the anon phase with a sum exiting.
Even he agrees there's no mathematical proof to it, but that's not really the point. I do agree that it's not absolute proof that A sent X to B. But it's damn close enough for government work... If they find that much, they'll find a way to take that money you're not giving them when they change the laws to give themselves more of what's your's again... It may not be a crime to save money today, but as we see from the EU, it's on the menu... I think your missing the point with the EU thing. Currency like the Euro are going to collapse. Last night i decided to exit this game as the coin has no future, because the only possible outcome is complete centralization. Some one with 50 masternotes will accumulate the free given coins at a much faster rate and have 51 notes running long before someone going from 2 masternotes to 3. No new investment money is needed it is just a case of lean back put the feet up and wait for the coins rolling in. As time goes on this process of the mastenotes heavy having more and more notes running only accelerates. There is no way knowing how many notes one entity controls.
To buy in now and set-up a new masternote with new fiat is insane.
It's nodes not notes. 50 masternodes would not be enough to compromise the network? I think there is currently around 600+ masternodes? So 50 MN is less than 10%... |

Has anyone come up with the idea of making masternodes into shares? Would it work?
So say i wanted to host a masternode and receive the 20% ROI, but i only have say 10% of required amount of dark to host one (100drk).
Would it be possible to set up a sort of market place to buy shares in a masternode and receive "dividends"? Or some sort of group investment maybe?
