I've been a holder for 6 months now and seen the price cycle through 300% changes about 4 times, with weeks and months between major announcements sometimes. It's like being aircrew where their ears stop feeling the pressure change due to being elasticated from the 6-times-a-day cycles of climb to cruise altitude and descent to landing.

Sometimes you've just got to make up your mind whether you like something or not instead of sitting like a lapdog with its tongue on the floor in front of trading charts. Nothing wrong with doing that in principle (See Giftencounter) but you can't afford to spend much time doing anything else 

Believe me, I've tried to get "interested" in alternative investments in the X--Coin sector. I've been in and out of them all but I believe this to be the most industrial of them by far. The reason the devs don't "babysit" the price is because they're not a bunch of opportunists jumping on a bandwagon, rather have hitherto set the agenda, consistently delivered solid and meaningful innovations and responded effectively to problems all throughout the coin's life so I expect they'll continue to do so.

everyone's interest in better price, now is time to dump until rc4 come, then  i expect interest of market in the value of darkcoin, is my opinion and I talk about what I want.

Only because there will be two weeks before next update ?

You guys are only playing lottery and you don't care about any coin itself.

Crypto is getting more and more the ugliest market to be and thats the reason
why this markets will never go mainstream.
Its time go get out of these markets for me completly.
Let the banksters play their game on its own, we dont ever have a chance to change things with our own behaviour.

I can remember things a few months ago as i was happy to transter money  from EU to australia using cryptos without paying paypal a huge fee. Times you can do that is over. Even the best  crypto projets can't stay stabile over 1 week. Crypto is getting the worst place to be. How should new people enter these markets ?
You can't convince a friend using crypto without jeopardize friendship.

Don't get the angst.  

RC4 was originally stated to be at the end of July. Today Evan said 2-4 weeks meaning that if all goes well it will still be at the end of July. Plus, the code review is going to happen simultaneously to the current code being validated on testnet. Originally, the code review was set for after the release of RC4 so that has been moved up.

In short, you can play the dump, then buyback game -- but with the thin liquidity on the ask side (and the possibility of Evan or Kristov chiming in on any given day) you are playing with fire.

2 weeks in crypto is a long time, people are not clued up on darkcoin, so they see "2 weeks RC4" and then panic dump to release liquidity for them self's, they then buy other coins to make  profit to buy more drks before the new RC comes out. See it all the time.

Looks like this is the way these markets are acting. This behaviour is why we only shift around our money and do not generate rising markets with new cash. The opposite is happening. People go out of crypto markets.
I did once recommend a friend to enter crypto markets and i will never do it again. I wont push any friend again into a this pool full of sharks.

They were in it for the wrong reasons to begin with. They'll come back when the world domination is complete.

I just want to point something out.

During the first update on progress Evan made about a week or so ago, there was a subtle hint that the number of master nodes being used for mixing would be a minimum of 2.

Yesterday we discovered why. Around 8 will be involved, but realistically any number could be involved. Anonymity is constantly taking place.

Also during the last update Evan pointed out that he has a way to make Darkcoin mainstream. He also noted that there was a reason for forking Darkcoin off the Bitcoin code base.

Lets just think about that for a second.

This is something I have tried to point out since March. Darkcoin is a child of Bitcoin code.

Now, look at the payment processors out there. How many merchants do they connect to?

Now look at the move by Shopify to enable BitPay and Coinbase into its merchant processing tools:

Being related to Bitcoin, Darkcoin has the potential to offer eCash through existing merchant tools. Overcoming branding restrictions will potentially be the main topic of conversation as we look beyond the open source phase of Darkcoin.

That conversation about branding will be framed around the 'mainstream' hint that Mr Evan has made. I take this to mean, Darkcoin will have some hooks into existing mass payment and merchant infrastructure.

It might get even uglier, not even a day passed and it's getting close to 0.009 again. Buy support got annihilated by the same whale that probably sponsored this pump. Also people that bought above 0.01 will become new resistance when they see the bear trend continues.

To be honest I'm quite disappointed. The bubble was very interesting, with lots of volume and fluctuations, some really good market makers were hired. Now I expected some consolidation and uptrend but by the look of it it's quite the opposite. Whales pushed the price slowly down to 0.009 so the announcement pump can only reach 0.0105 where there are not that many bagholders to be saved (people who bought around .01 think this is cheap according to TA, I thought this way ).

Now we will see how long the whales will keep the price around 0.0095...
