hi guys first off all iam glad that i registered here in bitcointalk
now i know that my gpu is old but i should still be able to use it in mining
my problem is i can't i tryed every alot of programs to mining like claymore and cgminer 3.7.2
and guminer and minergate program however none of them accepted my gpu
or even identified it and i installed all the latest version of amd drivers
amd sdk 3.0
catylist 16 crimson
and didn't get anything
i could realy use your help on this and thanks in advance
you should mention what OS your using, and as for drivers a lot of those programs where build around 14-15 version AMD drivers. claymores are usually built around 15.12.... but as a side note you may have to accept that your card is simply way to old to actually do anything. if your interested in trying out mining get yourself something along the 7000 series and up. a lot more support and info around on them. |

Actually under Linux, Optiminer has given new life to the 290X, HD7970 cards. For Zcash, about 160+ for the 290X and about 120+ for the HD7970 with the stock settings. These cards though are still power hungry.
Normally, the HD7970 cards are very average for ETH.
actually this miner is rather slow, claymores has given new life to tahiti cards, 171h/s on a 280x much faster. |

only 30sols on a 1060, does not seem right. what are others getting?
it should be over 60 sol with the last build(reported early in this thread, so maybe now it's even more) but i don't know the setting because i don't own any zawawa you found a way to port the version on windows without all the other things that need to be installed? thats what iam useing, latest drivers with the correct python files, but wont go over 30 sols, got me beat atm. my 970 does 43 sols and my 750ti does 25 sols, so they are working fine. is there a prefered driver version to be useing with it? |

I'm waiting for 0.0030 and then i will ask dev to fork the coin... in fact i have receive a PM from him  with some decent information. doubtful. thats a pretty old card. might be time to retire it and get something atleast in the 7900 series or R9 series or higher. |

the issue has been resolved, claymore pulled the miners and is going to make his own code instead, he admitted he fucked up. and btw silent army miner is actually faster its just limited to linux users only atm. if windows users had access to it they would be useing it instead.

@Claymore, great to see you getting involved with ZCash! It's relieving to have a miner on the horizon that doesn't require constant babysitting of rigs and/or bat files that restart the software every 10 minutes. I've actually just gone back to mining ETH until a better miner comes out, gladly will pay a % to the dev, good news!!!!!!
That is what I am doing now. It is too frustrating to do the GPU mining with the ZCash at the moment. you must be doing something wrong, i havent had to babysit my rigs for a few days now. working stable with no real issues. |

in a folder with genoil.exe and get ~34 sol with a 7970 card and ~32 sol with a 7950 card
it seems strange, but the same procedure does not affect to R9-390 card:( Only ~33 sol with -k zec zec zec option

As mentioned 0 premine. How will be price decided in such cases of coins as coins can be distributed only after mining.
I think more chances of coin prices rising . As mentioned in description instant transaction is great feature for JIN. And if consider this best alternate for payment in local market.
