DEV please help.. how fixed memory clock on 290 and 290x

what issue are you having with the memclocks?

any thoughts on how to get 280x's stable with this gpu miner yet?

and why gigabyte 280x's seem to suffer very low hash rate, eg struggle to break 300h/s when compared to an asus 280x that does 360 with ease.

i cant run linix, no idea how, plus the gpu miner has no support for linux

is this faster then claymores cpu miner?? wolf you should try and make a gpu miner thats faster and more stable.    😃

Claymore has a CPU miner? Link me.

I don't see why it would be since it claims 270 H/s on a 4770 and this one claims 300+, and on top of that Claymore takes 5% of your hash rate. I guess Claymore has a fan base though, so perhaps people use it.

His low CPU mode looks interesting though, I wonder what that is doing.

i tried both and for me claymores is giving more stable hashrates win 7 x64

i can vouch for its speed as well and the stability of the cpu miner, gpu miner is a complete differnt kettle of fish, somewhat unstable as it stands.

4770k at stock clocks 250h/s at T-4
2600 non K at stock clocks 234 h/s at t-4

its nothing to do with a fan base, its at current the more powerful miner that supplys the highest output. and yes 5% for cpu and 5% for gpu miner plus pool fee's thats quite a loss on the pocket for smaller miners like myself.....

for those who have cards randomly drop in single/Multi card rigs where the gpu usage drops to 0% and H/s rate slowly drops on its ass, it has something to do with
"thread hung during OpenCL call"......... if that makes any sense to anyone. try different driver/openCL versions and if possible list ya findings here so a work around/fix can be made...

Hi,

I have these warnings when I start my miner, can somebody help me, what is wrong?
..
..
..
Is this this an issue of my GPU driver?

I am using MSI 7950 Twin Frozr and I think the speed of the 4 GPU's is 800 h/s, is this normal or low for 4 cards?

You are using some variation of non-13.12 driver.  I've actually had a rig or 2 working on the 14.4s with clPTS before.. so it still may work for you (but slower).

Either way, 800 h/s is low for 4 7950s.  Each 7950 is capable of 300h/s+.  All of my 5 card 7950 rigs do 1.3k+ @ 1100/1500, but they are also on the 13.12s.

THANK YOU for the replies, let me install 13.12 and add 1100/1500.

Ok, so I have installed 13.12 Catalyst on my 4-MSI 7950 and my settings below:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
NsGpuCNMiner.exe -o stratum+tcp://mine.moneropool.org:80 -u (address) -p x --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1500

This setting gives me a total of 1100 h/s .......and 275 h/s each, can I still push this to 300 h/s? I don't know how....

Also for 3 - R9 290s are getting a total of 1280 h/s with settings below:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
NsGpuCNMiner.exe -o stratum+tcp://mine.moneropool.org:80 -u (address) -p x

Actually no memclock and gpu engine settings, please post your settings here if you can get higher than mine.

for the 7950's set 1140/1250 and that will wield about 302.5H/s per card, depending card quality and brand etc...

gigabyte WF3 280x seem to be very terrible at this algo..... barley do 300 which i believe is odd as my asus 280x's can do 360h/s easy...... wonder if it has something to do with the cards being voltage locked from factory, which leaves very little OC room....

I have a 4x msi 7950 rig as well and mine appears to be hashing around 1066h/s, core clocks between 1070 - 1100, looks like mem clock is not used as it is sitting at 1000mhz.

my 2 alone get 605H/s, they can break 300 each easy and stable.

What clocks are you running then?

1140/1250

Thanks, now lets see how stable this is - Speed: 1207 h/s

i also have the undervolt bios at 0.975 and no issues

My platforms show 2.8KH.
Pool shows me 2.4KH.
Some deceive us , but who?
mines the same, supposed to have about 2950H/s but pool barely goes over 2400h/s...

Anyone who has problems with dropping hashrate after some time - send me PM with detailed description of your system (Windows, Catalyst, CPU, GPUs) and I will send you version with extended debug log for tests.
Pm'ed ya dev...

Running AMD driver 14.4 gets me 580 h/s.

Copying the AMD opencl files from the 13.12 driver package to the same folder as the GPU miner gets me 810h/s and less error messages, while still on 14.4 driver

Keep your new driver, download the old 13.12 driver from
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/previous?os=Windows%207%20-%2064
and only run the first step of the installer, that unzips the files to the c:\amd folder, then exit the installation.
Then copy the amdocl* and amd_opencl* to the GPU miner folder from
c:\AMD\Support\13-12_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql\Packages\Drivers\Display\WB6A_INF\B165829\

Would be nice to have the files included with the miner, but I guess there is a small copyright issue...

how do you tell how many errors your getting? and what cards and how many??

My 6 Asus r9 280x rig give me 2084 h/s. It's like ~10 mro/day (2 days mining) and it's like 0.019btc/day . It's not profitable now.

profit is profit, is 0.019 btc not good enough or something? add some more cards 4 280x, 2 7950 and 1 6950, fully sick i know make 0.030 btc and iam happy with that considering how unprofitable scrypt X11 and X13 are. scrypt-N is a pile of monkey dung so iam not gonna count that.
840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore MRO/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner on: June 08, 2014, 09:51:49 AM
it would be more ideal to run it from a dedicated rig. althou you can cpu mine and game with no issues....

I've got a few that are dedicated, but the one I use all the time has a couple of good GPU's too that aren't doing anything when they're not drafting Wink

just switch off the miner when your useing it is about the best option ya have.
