coinmarketcap has delisted this? Sad

It appears coinmarketcap is not our best friend  Sad It took ages to get on there, and now without a warning (at least I think) we got delisted... Strange.. Maybe he's irritated I pulled the plug on some explorers he was pulling data from or something..  Huh

So what's up... I lost about 80% of all my crypto coins.. PIO, BTC, RADS, ETH.. These we're the bigger wallets I had.. I lost ~90K euro worth of crypto at these BTC prices... I was always confident about my ways of backing up my wallets.. I avoided cloud services and kept everything I had in my own control.. I had three different harddrives/usb sticks lying around in the house with encrypted wallets on there.. Never even thinking about a fire burning down 3/4 of my house.. Fortunately during the fire, the entire family was out and nobody got hurt..

So is there a good thing about all this? Well yes there is.. A very VERY expensive lesson.. And I'm glad I've gone through this with my own money, and not from people on our exchange so to speak.. At one point I even thought of stopping with crypto completely.. But I'm not that type of guy.. So I'm still here... Wink

So how are we going to continue?
I need time to work things out.. 4 weeks ago I was confident my wallets could be recovered.. The hd's went to 3 different recovery companies, all without result.. I lost a sum of money my insurance doesnt cover... My house gets rebuild, but my crypto is simply gone.. I'm not financially broke, I will manage just fine, but this sh*t hurts... I probably get back working on my old services (explorers, escrows, faucets, games) I used to offer to earn back some of my lost crypto.. Until then, all I ask for is your time, patience and understanding.. The exchange is on hold until I'm back on track again..

Just a sidenote, I will also contact yobit to get us out of maintenance.. And I will try and have a good talk with the guys from cryptopia and ask them to add us as well.. The website and OP need a total makeover/update.. I will work on that later...
Meanwhile please keep staking and supporting the network..

Banzai

As I posted at an earlier point.  I have 500 PIO with your name on it.  Please send me your address and they are yours.  If anyone else can find it in their hearts to donate a bit to Banzai we could help him get back on his feet.

3 million dollar market cap is insane.  I remember when this was a itty bitty baby of a coin we all mined and hoarded.  Now I can't dream of affording another 10k lol.  On a side note I am staking my way to a masternode.  As of today I am 82 coins away! Yippee...

Helium is building an entirely peer to peer payments network, giving users the same services that an online processor like PayPal does, without the risk of having someone else control your money and information. Helium's is applying for several patents to enable the network to compete with traditional banks and online payment networks. The new approach will revolutionize the way digital currencies are used by ordinary everyday people, removing the barrier of entry to using cryptocurrency and offering the first ' killer app' to the blockchain space. The Master Node network is a dedicated group of computers that help maintain security by bringing a greater level of decentralization to the process. The Master Node network will also allow act like a savings account paying an attractive return on deposited funds that can be withdrawn at any time by users.

Helium's cloud blockchain services takes the concept of Master Nodes and builds a robust economy around it, providing security and longevity to the network. All types of cloud services can be offered via Service Nodes, which acts as a support layer to the Master Node network. Using an Uber type rating system, service providers are rated by the network and by users to ensure everyone is getting the maximum benefits out of the being part of the Helium network. Service Nodes allow anyone using the Helium network to run a Bitcoin full node in the background by just launching an app on a smartphone. This greatly increases personal security by creating an encrypted connection between your smartphone and a network like Bitcoin, along with increasing the underlying security of the network itself. If service providers choose to offer different digital currencies, you would also able to run the full node of any other digital currency of your choice within the Helium Service Node network.

Thank you to all which lease to my Node.

I send out all Waves Classic Token proportional to your Lease.

Don`t forget: Your lease need 1K Blocks. After 1K your amount is add to generate balance.

I share every token which my Node received.

About scripts: I read today that some scripts are buggy. I make payment by Hand. Slower but secure. I payout only full Coins not pennys.

For every payment the node have to pay fee of course.

So it make no sense to make every day a payout.

I prepare actual website for Infos. Please patience. Let us see what the future brings.

My Pool: 3PF82eNcAtrwzCjam3iMa8ToPvChWjJeV17

90 % of every Earn  also Airdrops goes to the Leaser !

@RoHoss - Hello - when will I know you made a payment for my lease?  What does it read?  Thanks - pokeytex

131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Woodcoin [LOG] Pure Skein POW, Logarithmic Release, No Premine nor ICO on: May 04, 2017, 10:15:59 AM

is that the oldest one that support solo mining? or i can choose a version which is more recent? i see that all the old version need compiling, do you have this version compiled please, i can't compile myself, thanks

If you are looking for a windows build there are two here:

https://github.com/woodcoin-core/woodcoin-windows/

woodcoin-qt is the version mentioned above, built from the pre-core satoshi codebase

woodcore-qt is the "core" version, built on the bitcoin-core codebase, and so doesn't support the "Getwork" rpc call, nor the setgenerate-true built in cpu miner.

You can also try :

https://github.com/woodcoin-core/woodcoin-windows/blob/master/RC1/woodcoin-qt.exe

which DOES have "getwork"  built on top of the "core" codebase, but this is currently untested.

Has anybody tried it?  Pokeytex?  I'm curious if it works.

LOL - I was waiting for others since the Windows build set off all kinds of alarms on my A/V.  Your first version with "getwork" did not set off my alarms.  So sometimes i like to wait because I am not the most technical person when it comes to A/V.

Aye aye cap'n crunch,

Well that's odd, I still haven't gotten this thing to link properly to boost libraries using HOST=x86_64-w65-mingw32.  And now my afternoon time limit is up.

My apologies once again.  In the meantime, mine with the old version please, I'll bang my head against this thing again tomorrow.

This update kicking your arse?  Any progress on getwork for windows wallet?  Thanks - pokeytex

*** YOBIT FLY WALLET ONLINE AND CONFIRMED WORKING BY ME!!! **

PLEASE , PLEASE DONT UPLOAD LARGE AMOUNTS OF COINS AND LIST THEM ON THE SELL SIDE, THIS SIMPLY BLOCKS THE PRICE FROM MOVING UP!!!

THANK YOU. LET THE SELL SIDE BE SLIM , SO IT CAN MOVE UP EASILY. THANK YOU.

PLEASE EVERYONE KEEP YOUR WALLET ONLINE AND STAKING!!!. WE DONT HAVE ENOUGH WALLETS LIVE ON THE NETWORK, AND IT SLOWING THINGS DOWN!!!!

Current holders of fly, if you want the price to rise, its done through people buying the software, but if they have to wait a long time, they wont buy it.

Thank you.

Vegas

Hi, is this still for sale the alert? What is the payment method how does the payment work? Does neteller accept

When you download the software, the very first page that comes up will ask for the payment. Once the payment is made, the software will launch automatically. Its very very easy.

Vegas

Does anyone have any guide on how to make profit on a piece of software like this?  I have no experience in trading at all.

137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: April 22, 2017, 10:49:57 PM
this coin will have anonymous features like? having only masternodes will not do it, we need mroe features

Happy Thursday everyone,

As promised, we are moving closer to finalizing key aspects of the project and endeavour to get feedback from you all.  We have one of the more engaged and technically adapt communities and we will utilize that to our benefit. In terms of hash to be used for Helium, we are looking to implement x11

There are several reasons why we are looking at x11:

- it keeps us in-line with DASH (given we are a DASH tech fork)
- We've already made everyone aware that we are sticking pretty close to DASH until we get our master nodes count up to between 2,000 to 4,000 master nodes
- x11 hash has a lot of resources that Helium can use immediately, which will translate into more time and money being saved by the network
- the decision is not final. We will be forking away from DASH once our work on the patents and Service nodes are ready, a hash change can be made then if it makes sense

There are pros and cons to every choice so we would like to get feedback from the community. Feel free to join us in the Helium Slack channel where all of the discussion is taking place:

https://heliumslack.herokuapp.com/

please no x11 at least change the parameters, x11 is asic only, we need gpu if you want to remain in line with spreadcoin mentality and decentralization, you need gpu mining not asic, do a new algo or a variant of x11

I say put it up for a vote at the top of the topic.  Let the people show by votes what algo they want.

it really shouldn't take more than an hour to load the block index, just saying. this wallet is terribly out dated, it should just skim the headers and load really fast. like litecoin.

u are aware that DMD v3 will release in summer with total state of the art technology
slim chain performance optimized and and and?

Fyi - I just loaded a brand new wallet using Vegasguys blockchain a few posts back in under 5 minutes.

Greetings LOGcutters great and small -

Happy Oestern, Easter, Pacques, Ishtar, and ancient holiday, and new tradition, greetings to you all.

I have reimplemented "getwork"  in the new 0.13.2 client repo.

  Here's the commit:

https://github.com/funkshelper/woodcore/commit/ac00e0faf8dd4eaed4fec7076962750e07aa0ac6

  Or just clone:

https://github.com/funkshelper/woodcore.git

Go ahead and build and mine  Smiley

I will be building executables for the various boxes soon after I get feedback.

For some reason I cannot build the wallet on my PI - I will wait for the windows exe to try it out.

What are you guys pulling at the wall with 1080s? Not talking low TDP, max TDP, high OC, high utilization algorithm (SIB for instance).

About 600 watts - (2) EVGA 1080 FTW plus system.  So about 250 watts per card.  Algo - Sha3 - Nexus
