Very cool - thank you - I was away on vacation during the fiasco so back up and running. surprised nobody has reply to my quota mining tip, I am ignored by most of the clodminig idiots here LOL https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=580725.msg11068125#msg11068125I found it interesting but I no longer mine. I sold all of the asics. I am glad to see you contributing again. I know you were silent for a while. I appreciate your help. - pokeytex

Okay I've got all that in my conf file except the bantime=600. What does that bantime=600 do?
Ban time is the number of seconds the client waits before trying to reconnect to "misbehaving" nodes. These are nodes that send nonsense packets to the client or the ones that send bad blocks. You're probably good with the default. Yes Noob - run the conf exactly as Cryptonit recommends. Good to have you on board. Also, if you are still have problems syncing from zero block do as Popshot recommends: You can dowload and use a recent chain from OP (March,2015). Here's a link for your convenience: https://mega.co.nz/#!TI9nFZpC!gqigF7aDxgGtru0vQNCJKaO-xdGWDMuQuUyIYI0n08c-pokeytex Thanks mate Finally got my wallet all synced up and finally mining this thing now lol Good to be on board this coin though, like I said it peeked my interest before and I'm kind of regretting not jumping into it when I had thought about it because I would have a lot more of them by now Well time to start minting these babies. The minting stake is 50% annually right? Correct

I believe we should use PR funds now.
Make a general PR release about DMD.
Early adopter phase has already been too long (more than a year).
It is time to expand.
I share your view that we should promote Diamond sooner rather than later. But as you will see below, currently we haven't got enough funds to buy the service. We could spend it in other more creative ways. Growth hack our way to the top We could have a bounty for a good growth hack idea. The more people use a currency the more liquidity it creates and good liquidity is the cornerstone of successful coins. Popshot, could we have an update on current funds for PR ? I think we might have already enough with current BTC price. The amount of BTC hasn't changed, but its market value is lower than before. As said earlier, I do not hedge against losses but I could send the coins to BitReserve and hedge it that way. But that's for the future. What is the total balance needed to complete this project? Also, do we have a kick ass promo put together?

FPGA mining... any details available? Which language, board type will it support?
John is working now with the Spartan VI, the Mojo v3 board has it ( https://embeddedmicro.com/products/mojo-v3.html) together with an Arduino compatible bootloader. Hello - I have never FPGA mined before. Will there be specific instructions on how to do this? I have only GPU and ASIC mined. Is it anything like that? Please advise. -pokeytex

I had to re-download the blockchain as advised. It now works well. Thanks for the help. As this is a problem, even though it is rare, do you understand what causes it and do you intend to fix it?
yes new wallet will be released in a few days early enough to make 1000000 total coins trigger contain more than only pow reward reduction OOOOOooooo - Do I read between the lines that there might be a surprise in the new wallet? I like surprises!

POS not working with Wallet v2.0.4.0
Maybe I am just noob, but I am not getting anything.
I got the new wallet setup in Feb and moved all 56 of my diamonds into it. The wallet has been online almost continuously since Feb 8 The icon in the lower right says: Minting Your weight is 1694 Network weight is 2483052 Expected reward is in 10 day(s)
It always says reward in 7 or 10 days, but no reward ever shows up.
What am I missing?
Thanks
Don't quote me but it might be the number of DMD's you are holding just can't compete against the others? I am not sure though. I can tell you my wallet works everyday. Yeah, staking works on weight, and competition is fierce. 56 coins really isn't alot. You're probably going to want a block bigger than 100. Once you get some more coins, you can go into Options > Display and check "Display coin control features". That way, you can combine your blocks when you click on Inputs in the Send Coins tab and get a better weight. You should get a stake about once a month though. Maybe a bit longer for 56 coins. For any POS coins, the "estimated time to reward" is a very rough estimation. Don't get discouraged if the coins don't stake within the time frame stated. DMDs POS is a bit different than other coins too. It's not required for you to have your wallet open to generate rewards (according to Cryptonit, from the following link)... You can check out this thread in the DMD forums, alot is explained on minting here: http://bit.diamonds/community/index.php/topic,46.0.htmlDamn, Pokytex - you stake every day? Sigh, I really chose the wrong line of work - haha. Musician for sale! Hehe - I have been mining/purchasing Diamond a long time. Eventually if you hold and keep increasing your position you will also mint everyday. Never give up and never put in more than you can afford to lose.

Some master nodes are down, restoration is in process (it happens from time to time for some reason). Please be patient.
As crytponit mentioned we are working on and testing a new wallet to be released before the block reduction. Security wise - changes made will be based on suggestions recently submitted by the community. More details will follow.
Masternodes? Hrmmmm - I like the sound of that. I want another place to put my DMD's! - I know you don't mean true MN's but figured I would jab ya!

Hello community
whether we a problem with blokchain It seems, known pools is alive, but unknow miners is dropped out Some hours ago all explorers was down and wallet not sync. Have nobody any info
br
Next to the file wallet.dat, create a file named diamond.conf and the following contents: listen=1 noirc=0 addnode=193.68.21.19 addnode=54.191.208.14 addnode=54.255.133.30 addnode=54.86.164.216 bantime=600 And restart your wallet. I have 12 shows the connections to the network. My wallet is still operating as normal. No problems here. I even minted overnight.

I still think that it would be extremely beneficial for DMD to be listed on some other exchange besides Cryptsy. I mentioned this on the DMD forums a while back, and Cryptonit had told me that after the demise of mintpal and usecryptos, you weren't seeking exchanges anymore. He had said that once volume increases, exchanges should add DMD naturally. While I agree, I think there is a pressing need to be listed on an exchange besides Cryptsy. Comkort now has a DMD market, but not many people use it... The volume is close to nothing there. I talk about DMD alot, and I try to bring new people into the fold - but when I mention it only trades is Cryptsy, most people don't want to touch it. I think this is a good next step for Diamond. Once it's traded on a more common exchange, I think the volume as well as price will increase quite a bit. Just a suggestion from a long time DMD supporter. Good points prints. Which exchange do you think would be the most optimal for Diamond? I would want us to be traded on Poloniex. The problem is with actually getting to any of the exchanges. Getting there has never been a 'one man show' it's always been the community effort to push things forward. We have wasted a lot of effort and coins on getting to MintPal, that was unfortunate it folded. But usecryptos and now coincort weren't used that much either. Maybe, it is a matter of getting to a reliable big exchange. But.. do the community feel it's needed to be traded on another exchange? It's up to everyone interested to coordinate and execute the campaign. I use Poloniex and Bittrex regularly. I think one of those two should be next. We should stay off the smaller exchanges.

Curious observation on https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dmd/I added up all of the DMD's that were untouched between 199 days to 536 days. The total was approximately 73,153 DMD's. Is there a major possibility that those wallets are dead? As in unrecoverable? Since there isn't even staking happening on them? Just curious. That is a significant amount of DMD and makes me do triple back-ups of all of my wallets - hehe. -pokeytex yes a stark reminder of what might happen if you misplace you password or something. I believe the one at the top (40k) is dead, we have analysed different scenarios and concluded it must be a lost wallet. The coins come from Cryptsy so the person must have bought them very cheaply when it all started crashing back in September/October 2013. On the other hand, no one really knows but the owner himself. Damn - that's a lot of coin in limbo!

So, news about the miner - one of my testers exaggerated the CPU usage a little, I've run it on several systems and had another tester do it, and while it's increased slightly from stock, it's not really an issue. The current progress in terms of hashrate is in the screenshot below - that will likely be all, as I just have my testers looking for any bugs I may have added while fixing other bugs before release. Screenshot (NSFW): https://ottrbutt.com/miner/whirlpoolxwolfpub-03202015.pngLOL - Wolf0 - I have learned the hard way not to open your screenshots with my kids around.

Need community support to keep iCoin in the top of the list at CC-Ex - vote if you can - donate if you can. I am not necessarily concerned about winning right now but just keeping us in the top. Throw a couple votes or satoshi's its way to keep it afloat and in peoples radar! I know Lord Piccolo and others are working on some changes so no rush. https://c-cex.com/?id=vote-pokeytex
