I can confirm the above info is true. This also should explain why some users transactions didn't show on Latoken. We will of course favor the version of the split that Latoken is on. We are preparing a patch in the meantime. Let this be a reminder to everyone to always stake when you can to support the network. We will push a patch for when there is limited stakers. In a nutshell this happens when chain trust vs chain length causes two factions of similar sized groups of stakers to split. It happens when difficulty is the same and an adjustment can not solve it. Therefore it happens when only a few people stake. There is no good solution without compromising the proven and tested staking logic. However I have a few ideas of how to handle this when there are not enough stakers as we can follow trusted stakers in an order only when small split conditions are met.

So, if your most recent block hash matches chainz then you are on the wrong chain and should resync like above instructions says. It's critical this be done with bootstrap to avoid accidentally being on wrong side again. You may also notice chainz block height is not the same as yours. Perhaps you are 5-10 blocks ahead of them for example. That would be evidence you are on the correct chain but you should ALSO make sure by checking a recent block hash of theirs to see if it shows up in your chain. I think also you can use block explorer in QT to search for recent chainz block.

Sorry for the inconvenience. And if you sent a TX to Latoken and it didn't confirm on the exchange, don't worry. When you resync those coins will be back in your wallet and you can simply submit the transaction again once you are on the correct side of the split. If you are a major staker, contact me to make sure you are indeed on the right side of the split.

Hi,

I am just a token holder, since a long time, I didn't follow much about the project since 2017. THe last version I have is Halo 1.37.

What should I do to check my balance, are there any recent forks I had to consider? where can I download the last version of the windows wallet?

Also: isn't the source code being updated on github anymore? https://github.com/bitbaymarket/bitbay-market-client/releases where is the source code for the version 2.0 that I see here https://bitbay.market/downloads/ ? is there any information about what changes are brought to 2.0?

Apologies for so many questions and thank you in advance.
@lifeiscrypto - Welcome back! This is the very best answer to all your questions:
Go Back to Page 357 on this thread and start reading! lol

This will clue you in as to what's been happening. Sorry, there is no easier way to learn what you've missed.
If you have any questions after doing your catch-up homework, let us know.
Cheers!

In Halo 1.37 my wallet was created from these 2 pairs:
key1.private
key1.share
key2.private
key2.share

Now I am trying to use the QT wallet and I would like to import my account from Halo 1.37, is there a way to do it? It seems that it automatically created a new seed as soon as I opened it

QT and Markets/Halo wallet are not compatible. Halo is multisig (2 keys) and QT uses single key.
Also your Markets/Halo wallet must be updated to the newest version (2.2)
There is an updater on the website

LOL!!!
You are priceless DZ!
The castration part had me rolling on the floor in laughter.
Good argument. I can't really ague against that.
You might be right. We shall see. Peace.

Look I know your heart is in the right place. You make one of the best wound care products in the world. I can personally testify to that. I think you know your stuff which is why you above all people will like that documentary I just posted. FYI that German microbiologist had a 100k Euro challenge that nobody could prove MMR and won in German courts because those courts have legally defined definitions for medical proof.

There is also this...
https://www.wanttoknow.info/humanguineapigs

Either way, these are strange times. Stay safe everyone and don't quit your day jobs! Crypto might be pretty good in these times. Stay healthy either way folks. But that also means to keep ones mental clarity and health which it seems very clear for most people it flies out the window as they stack up on toilet paper, twinkies and order 10 Big Macs to put in their freezer to survive the consumer apocalypse. The Idiocracy strikes again.

My bet is once they are finished raping the stock markets, the virus will mysteriously "disappear" (because it never existed in the first place)... or they will say they found the vaccine which new laws may say cops can smash down their front door and inject them in the face. Once the artificial panic stops, the draconian laws stay in place but the rest returns to "normal". All while the media has a new enemy to advertise to the people. People can pat the governments on the back for saving the world from the government. Maybe new taxes on coughing or breathing too much could be made. Worst case scenario they actually kill people using bio-agents(maybe they already did a few people that way) or damage them greatly with a destructive vaccine. We shouldn't underestimate the war machine either. But I think they won't take it that far... I think they just wanna see how far they can push people.

Tell them to distance from each other... yeah that won't harm their health  Roll Eyes ... yeah that won't harm the economy one bit. Make everyone into a hypochondriac, what could go wrong?

While everyone was sleeping... this is what they were trying to do.
https://www.healthy-eating-politics.com/genetically-modified-plants.html

By the way if people really want to "stock up" why not stock up on videos on how to fucking farm something at home. Like you know, something actually useful? Algae, microgreens, grow potatoes in a barrel. Whatever. You what they say... give a man a fish feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for life. While people were busy checking Trumps twitter the government was carefully screwing over all the seeds producing sterile crops so they had to be bought instead of taken from your groceries. But not all hope is lost, lots of things you buy at the grocery store can still be planted. Want vitamin C? Plant a fruit tree.

If people really want something to fear, fear propaganda and "fear porn". Avoid the news like the plague. The next person to go the following year without knowing whats going on in the world wins a cookie.

Once they are finished raping the stocks and forex markets land, farms and stocks will be a good buy. Especially stocks that depended on export/import. Once that's restored so will the stocks who survive this be restored. They know this but we have to wait as I'm expecting a few months to a year of pressure. Weak forex and tourism is probably good for crypto.

BAY could not have released the peg at a better time.

At Bay Team (including little piston nub Grin):
2-5,000iu Vit D-3 daily orally in divided doses.
3-5,000mg Vit. C (preferably liposomal; but at this
point it really doesn't matter), daily orally in divided doses.
It does not have to be intravenous.
Go up slowly on the C. When it starts going "through"
you, back off, then slowly try going up again to the
therapeutic range of levels. Peace. God Speed. Be Free.

Bay is just starting to Rock! Thanks DZ and Team.

Viruses don't exist (theory of virology is junk science)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9bl1nxjA3Q

All of this has just been a reason to dump the stock markets which they pumped to all time high and then stopping worldwide trade to trash the economy so they can mop up majority stakes in thousands of companies with fake dollars they pull from thin air.

There was billion dollar short on march months before the propaganda existed. Days before Trump is like "Buy stocks"... come on open your eyes.

Plus this is their new "war on terror"... now it's a "war on an invisible enemy"... completely retarded. Please don't post any of this type of info here. This is a BitBay forum, no place for propaganda here.

On the flip side of things, forex markets will dump because less tourism, so thats (probably) good for BTC.

Doc in case you were wondering, bio-agents, misclassification of typical flu for deliberate propaganda, and medicines or poisons are an easy way to explain the recent nonsense. Or simply pure propaganda (obvious nonsense is obvious)

Yeah sure, the occasional bacterial infection is possible (still not a virus) when you get bit by a dog or komodo dragon or have damage to the body and get like menengitis or gangrene but thats bacterial not viral. The speculative theory of virology has been used to justify vaccination programs and create non-existent enemy so they can sell pharma drugs which actually can harm people.

Scaring people doesn't help, that just makes them run to the hospital for a frikkin cold and crowd it up and fuck over people with real emergencies like heart attacks.

What is alarming is people are willing to house arrest themselves without question or dissent. Perhaps next, they will happily march into a local castration office or euthanization office. Sheep, they don't even bother to fight back. This is just a test to see how many human rights can be stolen from people at a whim. Science deceptions are the easiest to pull off because the majority of people aren't sophisticated enough to question the foundations of the beliefs being sold to them.

Hi,
We have added BitBay on our services.
Check out for free which BitBay source code is probably based on. Check out our code analysis: https://coincode.sh/c/bay/
Did you know that most of the replies to the BitBay BitcoinTalk thread are Legendary Members? Check out our thread analysis: https://cointhread.sh/c/bay/
Regards,

Thanks! Really neat resource. Actually our dynamic peg is thousands of lines more of original code which makes us diverge heavily from Blackcoin. Right now it's on a private branch (but it is open source we are just waiting for maximum impact on the market). I'm probably going to release parts of the branch eventually. We also have a 2nd github which holds our other services (bitbaymarket). And also the Halo source code which is linked from the main github.

And yes, we have all legendary members since this coin is legend.  Cheesy
We have been around even before Ethereum (project launch was 2014)

The dynamic peg, where the supply is variable. You are forced to update and might even have to resynchronize. You are on a fork.

Latoken removed Bay or deactivated it?

My Bay Reserve order cancelled and no market exist now?

Upgrade or problem?

I think whatever community there is here for bitbay needs to organize for a coordinated markerinf effort here on bitcointalk. Something loke Deep onion did to build awareness but make the micro jobs and advertising effective and pay out in frozen coins for 6 month unlock

As long as the volume and demand built is greater than what we give in rewards we would be rocking after a couple of months.

Lot of new members put quite a huge effort into bounties for total junk tokens im sure they would work hard for something this good.

We can always run bounties if there are still people willing to put in the work. As for the Latoken trades they are paused as they are doing some maintenance.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: March 02, 2020, 11:02:00 PM
It's also worth it to spread the word among other communities, telegrams, discords, 4chan, reddit, bitcointalk and comment on relevant news articles. Just simply reaching out to others and relevant chats helps. Marketing is a group effort. All we are really missing is more people who are aware of this. Even just old school whales would probably love a product like this that they would have so much more control over not to mention a way to cash in and out of BTC when it's going up or down without the risk of Tether.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: February 29, 2020, 07:17:54 AM
The community is too small. Bitbay must grow the community using the community coins with micro advertising jobs and listing items on the market place competitions. Without increasing awareness even the best project will not progress.

It is very good to see bitbay on an exchange and coinmarket cap.

community must grow and adoption for the market place will be great to attract some big shops

At least everyone can see the supply control can force price up or down as long as there is even the slightest volume. This is precisely why all that needs to happen is a few whales and market makers notice they have this tool at their disposal.

Is the donation set on default on the market place and old style wallet?
I will leave donate on default setting in my old style wallet but my partner use the market and his is not donating on default
What % of users are donating ?
Better if we should make mandatory a small % from every member.
What target is the immediate holding price in cents? 20 cents? Do I need to change anything to support that level or this is default.

If you are selling your own personal coins you do not require a license
Therefore each member couls set up their own automated bay / any other coin on chainz right?
Market place can have a seperate waller address so it can not drain main wallet
Put asking price of other coins per bay and list your wallet addresses for coins you will accept. They send bitcoin to yours with coin / address in message box, market place monitor chainz and auto send Bay to theirs?

Is that possible? Every memeber can be monitored for selling price and market place can produce entire table like exchange? But just a list of people trading their own coins on their own market place.

maybe it could not work? Just one possible plan. Depended on a single block explorer may not be perfect?

I have not tested 10% of the market place so it could exist such a feature.

The marketplace has cash for coins contracts. It's totally peer to peer.

This is a very good feature.

Do you mean something like this already exists? Everyone can make there own auto exchange? For any crypto with a block explorer
One simple example

Alice will sell parcel of 50k bitbay for 0.5 btc
Alice lock 50k bitbay supply bitcoin address in contract
Bob take contract supply his bitbay address has time period to send his bitcoin's
Bitbay market verify with block explorer wait 2 confirms and auto send bitbay from Alice to bob?

Is this not possible?
Can be done for any coins with block explorer?

People can sell their own personal coins to individuals with no license right
Just like its own exchange?
Market place can monitor package prices of all sellers and have table with links to each persons own market place?

Buyer protected because bitbay wallet locks Bay once bob agrees contract and Alice coins are unlocked if bob not send in time.

The market place can rely on some block explorers so once agree on contract marker place does rhe work.

Only a suggestion.

Well with double deposit escrow / unbreakable contracts it's not necessary to have the software track block explorers. The users just put their deposits in the contract and then release when funds are distributed. If its a BTC/BAY trade they can of course do that without any risk protected by deposits. The software has some user friendly templates already coded in for users such as cash for coins with price tracking and tracking of market rates. Also auctions, reverse auctions, sales of goods, hiring someone with automated payroll, asking for jobs, barter with supply/demand lists and customizable python contracts.

And also, a user can just write in their own terms to a custom contract. It's the deposits that both users add to the contract that protect the deal.

Thank you for the help.
I understand double deposit escrow for everything that is not digitally verifiable and require human trust and faith is my favorite part and with the peg. The idea is simple but so brilliant this combined with feedback ratings is amazing.
But for things with digital verification possible then dde is not required and remove the iron clad guarantee that you can have with software verification. Also this automation allow bitbay market place to be a huge crypto exchange that is only individuals selling their own individual coins. Marketplace just have a tab for crypto sales and organized market prices.

I was thinking that would be the simple easiest way to have an internal exchange and should be very easy to get that coded in as a feature. Perhaps the bitbay would require some secure block explorers of his own else their can be risk.

If you will say it's not a good idea then I will not mention further. Thanks for you excellent work.

There is no secure way to have something check a block explorer for a trade on separate chains in the way you described. Of course Halo can be used manually and a contract can be programmed with the security of the escrow. However, the best way to trade peer to peer is atomic trading.

Hey, i want to use the qt wallet, i have 2 private keys...from the multi sign webwallet. How can use the keys? I cant connect... Sad

The web wallet is on a different fork, so simply sending coins from there to the QT Wallet will not work.

Here is a guide on how to import your web wallet private key into the latest version of the QT Wallet:
https://forum.bitbay.market/t/how-to-import-your-bitbay-web-wallet-private-key-into-the-bitbay-qt-wallet/2227
i know, i have 2 private keys en is not working for me  Huh

The QT uses only one key. The markets client uses two. However the web wallet uses compressed key format and markets wallet uses uncompressed. So until the web wallet is fixed I think there is no other way to use the two keys. We might add compatibility to markets wallet if time allows. However we update the web wallet anyways.

Yeah I realize that, we are working on updating the web wallet. If you are really in need to spend it before hand let me know and I can assist you. Meanwhile just wait a little bit for us to update the web wallet as we are working on it.
how long for the webwallet update ready?

I don't know but it could be up to a month or two. It might be sooner but I don't want to give any expectations. Just be a little patient and check back with us. We have been busy. I just started going over it today actually.

The JPL license is what asks coins to airdrop or pay BTC, but it's not guaranteed they would.

And yeah cryptobridge closed so it wouldn't have mattered. Also, their volume and liquidity was very low. Some days we were the top in volume on their exchange for
just a few grand. The key moving forward is to seek out liquidity and volume and exposure.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: February 15, 2020, 03:00:31 PM
The JPL license will be helpful and although it won't prevent cloning, it would help in some cases to generate income from projects who are willing to pay the up front fee. Obfuscation of the variables helps for now. Nobody has complained about it and when someone wants the source I give it to them anyways. For the peg people might ask, I was considering releasing partial source and then leaving out important parts so it can be partially audited but not cloned. Either that or do some obfuscation there as well.

Wait you are saying Blocknet had 136K USD in volume?! In one day?

Let's not exaggerate, you can't expect with such limited personel for things to get handled the instant you spot them. We are more concerned with the security of your funds and the software than we are about issues with an old staking calculator on the website. We are aware of it and will get around to it. You have to consider we have priorities. Like making sure the exchange tests well and making sure we update the web wallet while it's in maintenance to let users know among 100 other things. The staking calculator is not the first place users will navigate on the main site. To get things updated on the site I have to run things through the web dev who runs it through a program to maintain updates and translations. With that said I have asked them to change that work flow because its not efficient and doesn't allow me to just push changes to github. They dont want to have to touch up each translation manually. Personally I think an auto-translation service is better as I've seen plugins that users can edit the site to fix them. Anyways, that's how that process works.

Hi David.  Thanks for the speedy response.

I've tried sending some coins 'to the freezer', and that seems to work OK. The total of frozen coins is displayed correctly.

I don't get the concept of 'batching'.  What do you mean by consecutive stakes?  And if you do batch coins for freezing, does this simply mean sending sums of 100,000 each time to the same address, or must you create different addresses for each batch?

Can you point me to where the supply is displayed; I just can't seem to see it anywhere?

Thanks in advance.

If you are using the QT the supply is that little speedometer in the upper right. When it says 100 it's fully liquid.

When you stake, those funds are not available again until the stake matures which can take about an hour. Since to stake, you spend. Therefore if you have all of your coins in an input of 1 million and you win a block then you will not have the ability to win a stake again until that coin matures. Therefore you only need to make 10 payments each of 100k to yourself when you freeze. That ensures that when you win a block then only 100k is out pending while 900k is attempting to win another block.

You do not need to create different addresses, just make each payment for freezing of no more than 100k per payment if using the QT.

Also you can get more specific peg info from the console and see the list of commands with help. getpeginfo returns more specific info (like the current supply index)
