Although my hashrate is around 1000 H/s while mining over wallet, cpuminer shows 40 H/s. What am i doing wrong?
This cpuminer seems very optimized I'm testing it now, but most likely you have 1000 H/m and 40 H/ s with this miner. More than double speed potentially. Is it possible to use this cpuminer for solo mining? The wallet sync very slow , it's only me or others have this problem?

The wallet does sync slower than usual and it's because the wallet has to check the work of the miners and each hash takes about 0.5 seconds to generate due to memory hardness of the algo. So sync is a bit slow by nature, in future we will multithread sync which will help a lot but that is not top priority yet while the blockchain is still relatively small. |

So does it mean wallet is not optimized for linux?
It means is now optimized for both, linux was better at handling previous miner code and it's better for linux now too, just didn't make too much of a difference. |

This is a recommended update that optimizes the built in cpu-miner to minimize the number of memory allocations for scrypt² and improves hashrates a bit (credit to Rlmic on vericoinforums.com). Depending on hardware and especially better in Windows, because it apparently doesn't handle heavy memory allocation very well. This solves that by minimizing the memory allocations necessary. had similar jump as well Mine only jumped from 800 to 1050 but with the standalone miner on the pool I was running 1800 h/m. Not sure those numbers were real because it seems seems difficulty schedule may have been problem with pool. Considering hashrates people are getting using linux and the fact that it was an optimized miner, I do think its pretty close, but there is no real way for me to verify it without a working pool. The miner also said 30 H/s which to my knowledge shouldnt be influenced by the difficulty. I'll do some testing with it. If it turns out the optimized is better ill incorporate its improved implementation to the in wallet miner. Need to test it out thoroughly, for instance it may have better hashrate but generate more stales due to slow hashrate relative to other scrypt. That is something we had to optimize specially for this memory requirement. |

There are no stupid questions I checked the pools wallet and I can confirmed didn't find a block yet. Seems like the settings are not correct. I will keep my miner there and try to have a look on stratum this evening. I am useing combination of mpos for front end and unomp proxy. We have many many shares in the sql database so the shares are getting collected correctly. If you want to find blocks i suggest you move your miners back to your wallets until i figured out why we didn't find a block. Maybe it is just very very bad luck. I've had a Coinium pool running for last 2 days with no luck  Same issue as you valid shares but no blocks found even tried removing the difficulty check at the pool level but still didn't find any. Setup a UNOMP pool 1hour ago shares are submitting so will leave it for a bit but guessing ill have the same issue again. Just been watching the difficulty of my submit's compared to the block difficulty and it looks within range that it could get one. Only time will tell Testnet.... guys.. Use testnet.. it's not so hard and you'll find lots of blocks instantly I added testnet genesis hash on 1.0.3 so you can just add testnet=1 to conf, don't need to have connections to mine on testnet if you just want to test mining |

We are currently trying to figure out why certain hardware gives a lower hashrate on windows compared to linux. We will be releasing 1.0.4 in next couple days or so which minimizes the number of memory allocations while mining and will improves hashrate a bit for all. Curious to see how that effects certain hardware on windows and linux. The hardware I've tested on there is no significant difference in speed between the two.

My trick with soft links does not work again. Please pack your version libcrypto.so.1.0.0 (./libs directory) into the installation package. You already have libssl there. Thank you. LD_LIBRARY_PATH=. ./verium-qt
