I think the winning strategy at this point is to get the largest batch of chips made that is humanly possible and then move sky and earth to get the supply chain logistics worked out for all of the parts needed to build miners. It seems like every company out there is 100% selling out on PREORDERS, let alone actual miners.

Yes, but this is Friedcat, and he's acting very slow in every aspect  Roll Eyes  ...meanwhile the competition is very aggressive

I was really excited in November with a tapeout date of January 20th...  Hopefully this week he gives us some good news to chew on..

One thing to note is rockxie seems to have initially tested the chips at .72v.  I'm definitely no EE,  but FC did mention that the chips were versatile with several different modes.  The 0.2J/G he mentioned originally was stated to be at .55v,  which probably means a lower clock as well.  Rockxies boards appear to have only one crystal.. i think given this setup he hasn't really been able to see what low power mode does (or overclocking for that matter).   Will low power mode dump the consumption down ~50% ?  MY limited experience tells me probably not,  but .72 to .55 is quite a difference in and of itself..

What about

d) The Central Bank looked at the proposal (unexperienced CEO unfamiliar with the Cypriot market, tiny capital, extremely volatile assets with no real backing, vague business plans, etc.) , concluded that it would end up badly for the customers, and did what their public mission required them to do.

That's good. Apparently he has enough experience for buying Bentley.

I should write to Zhou Tonged for remix request of

Butthurt, Brewster, Bentley

We definitely need some Neo Bee music right about now.  Music soothes the savage shareholder.

How much money/btc was actually invested in Neo & Bee?
like 12K btc

So, what IF:

Danny took your money/btc, run off claiming all the shit he does.
Waiting for everyone to sell his/hers shares for dirt cheap and buy it all back with YOUR money and be the sole owner.

Just a thought here  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Here's hoping.  It will surely give their brand a solid image after that point.

Have they actually even filed for bankruptcy?
no, they haven't done anything.  The branch is abandoned.  Danny is MIA

So isn't that rather asshole-ish of Havelock to put a "Q" after their ticker when that is supposed to mean they are in bankruptcy proceedings?

When a company is involved in bankruptcy proceedings, the letter "Q" is added to the end of the company's stock ticker symbol.

Is there a letter for when the CEO runs off and the entire company staff quits?

I heard it was the letter 'E'

131  Economy / Computer hardware / Litecoin (Scrypt) Mining Rig (2x Big Bang / 16x Radeon / 4x PSU) on: April 04, 2014, 04:59:57 AM
Going to be selling the Litecoin mining rig. Has two rare motherboards: the MSI Big Bang Marshal B3 (XL-ATX). The only motherboard with 8 full length PCIe slots with dual NF200 chipsets on board to provide 16 lanes to each card. It's overkill, but it makes for a very stable system. And there are two of them.

Custom aluminum chassis. It's the perfect case. Can hold two ATX or XL-ATX motherboards, adjustable to fit different boards as well.

In the picture there is 4x 5850s and 11x 5870s but I have one more 5870 to include, needed a longer riser to reach to that last card but they have new USB risers on eBay for cheap that are a bit longer.

1x 1300w Rosewill lightning (single rail)
1x 1000w Corsair (single rail)
2x 850w Corsair (single rail)

With 2x Intel Core i3 - 2100 processors!

The case is 18.75" wide (fits in a rack), 30" deep and 12" tall.

6 BTC and you pay for shipping!  Shipping from Winnipeg, MB, Canada.

132  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: April 03, 2014, 08:30:37 PM
ASICMINER should rethink their approach here, and sell the chips to the highest bidders as well as mine for themselves.

AMEN TO THAT.

That would eliminate any favoritism towards Rockminer and insider dealings.  Openly sell off batches of chips in auction format.  Do you remember the big AM divs of ~0.038 BTC/share last year?  That was when we were auctioning off blades at 50 BTC a pop, while mining full force.  The auction format is perfect.
133  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is Microsoft mining? on: April 01, 2014, 07:12:42 PM
But this is not an answer to the question Smiley

Is MsMining? Smiley

99.9% no

Friedcat should send out a massive div as an april fools joke today
135  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is Microsoft mining? on: March 31, 2014, 09:47:39 PM
Well why microsoft should not mine? Smiley IMO they are mining for 100%

I do not know is this their IP or not but I would suggest to them to mine Smiley
And they perhaps do not need any suggestion Smiley

I was doing a bit of research and it looks like a TON of malicious traffic uses their IPs.  It doesn't look difficult to use their IP ranges..
136  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is Microsoft mining? on: March 31, 2014, 08:03:23 PM
um.. bump?

they are still there..  anyone have any information regarding this IP?
137  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: March 24, 2014, 09:17:20 PM
I hope ASICMINER has like 1 PH/s online hashing for shareholders before Rockminer gets 1 single chip.
138  Economy / Securities / Re: [ANN] [ROCKMINER] IPO Announcement - miners using GEN3 ASICMINER chips on: March 24, 2014, 06:07:14 PM
If I pay you 10 BTC for 100 shares, can I have them divided slightly?

45 shares - 1 address
45 shares - 1 address
10 shares - 1 address

and so on?  no smaller division than that.
139  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: March 24, 2014, 06:51:32 AM
Update

The first wafers were out in March 22th. The engineering batch of packaged chips will be out in March 28th. After that we can immediately start testing on functionality and power consumption.

W000t!!  Good to hear from you friedcat, start pumping those chips out at full capacity.  It was a good idea to skip 2nd gen but let's go apeshit on this gen!

Going to 6 billion difficulty!

All of the newbie members posting in this thread are amusing. There is no more trusted name in bitcoin than BitMain, I would argue.

Surely mc_lovin is a more trustworthy name than BitMain!  I've been around since 2011 Wink
