Looks like someone setup and executed the perfect bear trap on Stamp. Nice.

I did not catch the depth charts on that move, I was not at my desk when it happened. Do you have snapshot?

I just saw that too did they put up a huge ask wall and then buy into it themselves? I saw that bid wall come up and disspear just after

I guess they *could* have bought into it themselves, but I figured it was more they were watching the price slip down and pounced as soon as someone was dump enough to put up a wall.

600-700BTC buy or something like that.

What is with this maxk guy pumping the price for some large news on sunday? Haven't heard any news.

"Maxk" is just a crazy person that some other crazy people like to quote.

What come's next when Bank of America is promoting Bitcoin to it's bussines customers? A crash?  Grin

Link

Interesting. Looks like a blog type post though, I doubt it had to go past the top brass before being published. Still however, someone must have seen it and though "yeah thats okay" so it's a good start.

When will journalists learn using "the Bitcoin" says "I've done no research".

It really is a problem. I've heard "the Bitcoin" used so much that I've caught myself saying it on accident. It's leaking into my brain!

Looks like we're seeing some action on Stamp.  Will it continue? We shall see! (the answer is yes)
127  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ripple competition on: November 12, 2013, 03:19:49 PM
Ripple is a good "sucker" test.  If you think it's Ripple is a good idea and like it then I have a bridge in New York I'd like to show you.

Yup, the bitstampers have decided that Gox won't give them any sweet coins and are just spamming their BUY BUY BUY buttons.
129  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 11, 2013, 11:07:58 PM
$430 by Friday.

 Cool

You heard it here first mates.

Nah ... Thursday  Wink

I'll accept either of these.

I had my heart set on a lot more excitement from Gox when it came back up.  Of course, Gox has left me disappointed. I don't know what I was expecting.

And the MtGox rollercoater begins! Where we gonna land folks?!
132  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 11, 2013, 09:58:35 PM
He says buy orders are working fine but sells are not.
lol

what i really don't get is the difference to situation during april.
gox has constantly lost volume since then and yet they still struggle to keep their shit running.
no other exchange had problems in goxlike dimensions. (i saw some lag on stamp, but not that bad)

The good folks at Gox are pioneers in the field of incompetency.
133  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 11, 2013, 09:13:57 PM
Any bet about what will happen when gox execute suddenly all orders? ( 11437 at this moment)

Yup, that's about it.
134  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 11, 2013, 08:57:03 PM
How long has this been going on? I didn't realize Gox was even down, I've just had tickers open, thought we were just consolidating here for a bit.  Smiley

4 hours at least.

It seems that bitstampers are waiting to see if Gox will crash and give them a chance for cheap coins.  The longer Gox stays down the more likely stampers will stop waiting and just trade like normal.  The best thing Gox could do is stay dead for a week or so.

I'm having gox induced deju vu of having gox induced deja vu.
136  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 11, 2013, 06:19:24 PM
Hypothesis: MtGox never gets out from DDoS and another trade is never executed leaving the price at 371 forever.  Enough people are too stupid to use their brains and continue to look at Gox for the price.  BTC is stuck at 371 foooooooreveeeeeeeeeer.
137  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 11, 2013, 04:43:47 PM
Wondering how low will the exchange rate go on bistamp with the current event.

It seems like there are enough people on bitstamp who aren't Gox-tards that the price won't go tooooo low.  What's the point of using bitstamp if you're just going to panic dump when Gox has a problem?
138  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 11, 2013, 03:47:33 PM
Mt.gox, 4 open sell orders that wwont cancel an also wont exacute sell, wtf anyone else experiencing this. Refreshed a million times

Your first mistake is that you're trying to sell.  Fix that problem and we'll see about getting you off Gox.
139  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 11, 2013, 03:19:03 PM
I see over 8 minutes of lag on gox (from i286). Now 9. Can anyone else confirm?

Seeing the same.

Recently I have only noticed very short lag on gox (tens of seconds), which always seemed to clear up very fast.

There must be something wrong, it's still going up.

This is just Gox's little way to remind us that we shouldn't even be looking at their charts anymore.
140  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 11, 2013, 02:49:30 PM
I think we're going to see a lot of buy back this morning from the failed weekend dumpers.

I wonder what percentage of them will be buying back at a loss.  It's not like we bulls didn't try to warn them....
