Conditions identical to yesterday.  Bids increasing above 10mil while asks are dropping towards 45k again.  Prepare yourselves for another jump up.

I could walk up to a terminal, scan your QR code from my phone, and deposit my cash as BTC to your address. And, of course, I could deposit one currency to myself, cross a border, and withdraw it as another currency at my destination.

This is a delicious idea.

Bitstamp just hit 110

Virtex is at $114.

As cool as this would be, I'm filing it under "Believe When I See It"

Someone just sold 6000 coins and could not even be bothered to drip-feed them out at 100 a time. So got about $2.50 less each, wasting $15k. Crazy.

That's why we mock bears here and call them out for how dumb they truly are.
787  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: April 02, 2013, 05:09:23 AM
There we go! There's our wittle sad bear.
788  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: April 02, 2013, 03:36:16 AM
So we are going to hit $120 tomorrow! Yay!

I wonder how this weeks swing down will be? Firesale?

If the trend is your friend:

Top out at $115.
Bears come out to play and price drops down to $95.
MtGox quits lagging and people buy up to $110.

I would think this may repeat itself, but the poor showing by the bears today almost has me wondering if they really are tapped out for a while.  It's crazy I know, but I didn't expect us to have such a solid footing over $100 already.

btcchina at 739 Yuan = 119 USD

Meanwhile, MtGox bids climbing and asks falling Cheesy

Wow what a crazy April Fool's Day... Now Namecoin is rallying too, after Bitcoin and Litecoin hit new all-time highs.

Namecoin, Litecoin, Poopcoin.  All scammer-coins that are trying to bring Quantitative Easing to BTC.
791  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: April 02, 2013, 01:07:21 AM
Fundamentals look sound, boys.  Got 10mil in bids and asks are still strugglin to stay above 40k
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC > BTC on: April 02, 2013, 12:48:51 AM
QE:USD :: LTC:BTC

Anyone who plays with LTC is only devaluing crypto.  Everyone thought the FBI and CIA would try to bring down BTC, turns out the biggest threat were some script kiddie emo kids.

Judging by BTC-e chat, I'd agree with you.  But I guess this is how free markets work.

lol, the people of btc-e chat are so dumb you can't even troll them. Someone earlier said that the EU announced it was switching from the Euro to LTC and the chat went crazy asking for sources and speculating on the prices.  I don't think they'd figured it out by the time I gave up.

I think Proudhon is so rich in BTC that he finds a perverse joy in making predictions against his own interest.

And if then indeed goes down, hey... He was right  Wink

My theory is that proudhon made 100x his money by buying at 5c and selling it all at $5.
Now he hurts from kicking himself so much.

The question now is how high into triple-digits will we need to get until he starts warning us of "crash to double-digits!"?
795  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: April 01, 2013, 09:33:02 PM

Wow, way to not let the only guy who knows a shred about Bitcoin talk.
Nobody can explain it adequately in these terrible 6 minute time slots. It is rather unfortunate.

It's really a problem of letting "both sides" have an "equal" say.  The news org wants to appear unbiased and thus compelled to let a nay-sayer on for this reason no matter what the subject, but what happens is that it is infinitely easier for the nay-sayer to just make-up facts or talking points on the spot without any thought and, thus, get more talking time.

trololol we're TOO popular!  I find this to a novel, if not stupid, idea.

Glad this one has panned out OK (or will do once that transaction actually confirms)

Strange that they're still unconfirmed.
798  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Instawallet Security Breach on: April 01, 2013, 08:44:22 PM
twolifeinexile, nahh it just means that they and only they control it. Could just as well say "it is our address".

But exclusive control sounds so much COOLER.
799  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoin-central.net say they detected a security-breach on: April 01, 2013, 08:18:10 PM
Still not showing as confirmed, despite having a big fee attached...

The plot thickens.  If anything else, this is a very interesting mystery.

No doubt.  Every minute of silence is bad for them no matter WHAT the outcome.

You are right.

I'm always right  Cheesy

I find it strange that the two big transactions at http://blockchain.info/address/1LrPYjto3hsLzWJNstghuwdrQXB96KbrCy are still unconfirmed.  Any reason for this besides someone trying to spend coin that isn't there?
