121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My gambling strategy on: September 14, 2019, 09:09:21 AM
Maybe it works for now but it won't last long. I've also tested many strategies on dice sites and some of them only worked once or twice but after that you'll only hit a losing streak. Your strategy gives a very small profit that a single loss is equivalent to many wins. One or two loss then your capital won't be easy to recover.
Yeah because after you win and got profit by that method and strategy, the system will recognize and memorize the patterns
and strategies you have, so the next time you use the same strategy, the house will know that and defeat you soon.
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is or are the contribution of Crypto gambling sites to Crypto Currency on: September 14, 2019, 08:59:51 AM
We now have hundreds of Crypto gambling sites and many more coming I honestly think, gambling sites contributed a lot to the adoption of Cryptocurrency because even gamblers that do not know about Cryptocurrency adapt and learn how to use it so they can play in these Cryptocurrency gambling sites.
That is clear, when crypto gambling captivated many traditional gamblers, thus the use of crypto continues to increase and in this case crypto gambling sites have a major contribution to crypto to continue to grow and become more popular, and at the same time we also recognize that crypto gambling sites continue to increase.
There is no doubt about that, we know there are many gambling players who migrate and then using crypto because they want to play gambling safely, get privacy, and is much simpler. I admit that gambling is very influential for the adoption of crypto itself. actually it is not only benefit for crypto, but for gambling bussiness itself, because many crypto users gamble because of know crypto too
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is or are the contribution of Crypto gambling sites to Crypto Currency on: September 13, 2019, 12:01:17 PM
I don't know the percentage but I'm sure the percentage of people coming in and the volume is considerably high, there are coins dedicated to gambling and there are a lot of ICO in the past and right now, that is gambling dedicated, this will continue because gambling is a multi-million dollar industry.
Of course, I'm the proof. I gambled because I was a crypto user at first. Gambling is something that is prohibited in my country, so before crypto launch, I stayed away with gambling games. after crypto present and then which made you invisible and anonymous then I tried gambling.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: September 13, 2019, 11:38:59 AM
It depends how big the win is.If you just win an accumulator like a ticket with 10 games and you win for example 0.5 to 1 Bitcoin it is surely a big win but it is not enough to forget my lost money because I have lost a whole more money by gambling. This is a great consolation prize as I can start to recover with that but I cannot easily forget my lost money.
Ticket wins aren't memorable although it's still giving that feeling of relief that you have won.

And winning such amount from the example that you have given will be remembered though but the point is when you have won that much, you will also calculate your losses and extract on how much you've won or break even with that winning.
Yeah "amount" that will remind you of the profit or losses you get. the greater the loss you get, the more you will remember the loss.
even I still remember the sad loss I felt a few years ago, because of the big of the loss that I suffered.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Own Version Of Martingale Your Opinion on: September 13, 2019, 11:16:13 AM
My strategy is I started off with 10 sats I just add or double my bet the next time if I lose so if I lose 5 straight and win on my 6th I started my bet again on the bottom.
This is literally classic Martingale.

It's funny though, everyone at some point thinks they've invented Martingale, until they realize everybody knows it, and we have a name for it.
I did not invented and do not claim I'm the only one doing it, I just had a discussion with my friend about a version of martingale his version is very different he never pushes down his betting, if he wins on his 6th he will not set it to the minimum again he will just go on, and one of my friends also has his own version he does martingale in on his first three rolls then he tosses a coin, if he wants to extend or change his bet.

Everyone has his own version and that does not mean they invented it.
I think it's still classic martingel, everyone knows that after you win, the funds will be reset to the initial capital again. only people who are brave when they win but not reset to the initial capital back, and I don't call it martingel if after winning you doesnt use 10 satoshi again (reset)
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: September 12, 2019, 11:36:24 AM
To define 'dirty money' is money obtained unlawfully or immorally.
When I think of 'dirty money' I am thinking about money obtained by doing something illegal or harming a person maybe even drugs
Since gambling is legal where I am from I can not consider it dirty
Like your examples I know of people who feed his family from playing cards- how is this dirty money if he does nothing wrong

But OP also mentioned Islam in which I think he’s Religion and since it was forbidden from Muslim then it become Dirty money.no matter how good we deal with gambling yet it will be a Negative as not allowed by their religion and that’s the sad reality
Also there are countries that treat gambling as illegal activities so this also applied to the people live in those countries
Yeah we respect those religious rules, but all the choices go back to everyone wants to follow it or not. I myself assume that dirty money is money generated from crimes such as theft, robbery, cheating, scamming and others thing that harm others people.
127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling affected your personal reputation? on: September 12, 2019, 10:27:00 AM
Everyone stating that gambling will affect someone's image in the society so this is actually happened with you?

For me it happened once why are you gambling its a sin in our life I replied its my wish I can do what ever I wanted.

Well, if I made a gambled in some online gambling site, none of my friends had an idea about what I'm doing.
Because majority of the people when they heard gambling, it is automatically bad in their mind. And I don't want that
to be happen to me, so it is much better to keep it a secret to myself.
Thats why the anonimity of crypto is very useful in gambling. because gambling in some places is a bad activity and seems negative to many people. of course when you play gambling it will adversely affect your personal reputation. I myself never said I ever played gambling with my friends.
128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling just for fun? on: September 12, 2019, 10:08:54 AM
Gambling is not about fun and not all about losing to there is also a time where you can win. Some people may gambling to have fun most especially rich people since they have a lot money but there are also those who gamble to make money or should I say easy money because some really want to become rich in an instant and gambling is a way around but that is if you are lucky.
Free games on the other hand is nice but if a games includes gambling then it is a little different, different in the sense that it becomes challenging and thrilling knowing that money is at stake unlike when you engage in free games it becomes boring in the long run.
I think gambling isn't just about the rich. Gambling is not a game of the rich, everyone has their own way to be fun, just because they are poor does not mean they cannot be happy from gambling. fun could be achieved in gambling even if you lose or win, poor or rich.
129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Often Do you Bet on Politics? on: September 11, 2019, 11:30:37 AM
Once I bet on politic but tt was not a popular event because it was a Local Leaders Election and I bet on it against friends. Frankly speaking, I'm not really interested to bet on such Politics thing because there are still many chances of manipulation that may happen during the events. I also feel that there is no thrills when betting on politics so it does not attract me at all to bet on political events.
Thats right, especially if you are in a poor country with a very high level of corruption, electoral vote manipulation is common, political position is only for people who have big money, sometimes you see good people who lose in elections because they don't have money to bribe the electoral council, I don't really like this kind of gambling.
130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto hodling as a form of gambling! on: September 11, 2019, 11:10:42 AM
Until now, I probably agree with you that cryptos are some kind of gambling because it's so hard to predict any price or movement, that even real good analysts are wrong almost all of the time
Maybe with market evolving and growing, the times of gambling will end, and we will be something like stocks market

Crypto is mostly controlled by the whales. Until the volatility in crypto reduces, we can relate crypto trading with gambling.
For the bitcoin prices to be stable, there needs to be a lot more users holding the crypto as more the crypto is disturbed among many people, the whales will not be able to manipulate it for their own benefit as they are doing it right now. Also as the volume in crypto increases, it will hard to manipulate it.
Even though crypto market was manipulated by some of the people you mentioned before, price changes can be predicted with technical analysis, with a high probability of True in that prediction, and a big chance of profit from your skills. trade is not the same as gambling. with even great skill you cannot increase the possibility of profit in gambling
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Marketing And Religion on: September 11, 2019, 10:37:37 AM
As we know that Gambling is prohibited in certain religions including Islam. If anyone does it, the earned money is not legal and is considered Sin.

But what if someone is promoting a gambling site on social media etc, will the money earned from it be legal provided he will never directly gamble ?

I'm no specialist about the Islam religion but Islam can be easily manipulated to mean a different thing according to the people who lead it.
The ancient text of Islam has greatly described about the alcohol but many believe alcohol is haram by Islam.
Some hardcore Islamist believe music to be a haram.
In real Islam, anything you do with good intent is always a halal. Don't let any other impose over your thoughts.
in Islam there are indeed some religious leader thought that have differences of opinion about it, sometimes haram or halal depending on the intentions of the person, for example when you have good intentions to seek sustenance from marketing gambling to support your family  by your salary there, then the law will turn into halal, that said some leaders. But for gambling is prohibited in Islam because it has a bad influence on the players. but it all goes back to each player who wants to obey it or not
132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling habits that will cost you on: September 11, 2019, 10:16:03 AM
Biggest thing I've seen in real life is gambling while you are heavily intoxicated.  Casinos love to feed a constant flow of drinks to their players so they make unwise decisions.  Always best to stay completely sober when your dealing with money.

That's why I am only playing online ;-)

But you're completely right on that. When I had some drinks while playing I take a lot more risks.
I think it's not just drunk gamblers who make stupid choices, all gambling players who become addicts basically often do stupid things by taking a big risk when gambling, even I myself have do max bet because of emotional feeling when always losing. sometimes making stupid choices is not just a drunkard but all gamblers have that trait.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: September 08, 2019, 11:21:02 AM
Quote
Last week Saturday was a Turing point for me as I refused to bet with majority(31-8-2019) and placed a draw on the match between osasuna and FC Barcelona. Most people would see it as an unwise decision but that's soccer the foolish thing can turn out to be wise.
In gambling you can only tell a pick is wise of fool after the result of your bet. A sure win type market with an odd even with 1.01 can go wrong and opponent can win from there.
Against the majority is not stupid choice or suicide mission, gambling is not only about luck, but dare to see a small chance to win.
and gamblers who dare to take a small opportunity, that's a gambler who is brave and who will receive huge profits.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: September 08, 2019, 10:56:50 AM
Of course. It was once your experience and I bet you wouldn't forget that. The feeling of losing, the total money you've lost, and the disappointment you have felt that day. Maybe it's just his initial reaction after winning and I believe it's just about acceptance and moving forward. Of course you won't just stuck yourself at the past and your losing. At some point, you will also win and the experience of losing will become your lesson not to make the same mistake.
I think a good gambler will always remember the losses he got, not to lament sadness but to be part of your journey in gambling, that gambling has a huge risk of losing, and sometimes profit you earn, could be boomerang for you if you don't remember the losses that you get.
135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: September 08, 2019, 10:17:13 AM
To be honest, in a lottery online gambling platforms are I always doubting. Because I didn't see how they draw the result and what provably fair they have. The first thing that comes up in my mind is probably they will monitor the result and nobody hit the jackpot until they run and claiming of failure company. I tried how many times and bought tickets in our local lottery gambling but I never win even once, how much more in online gambling.

I still prefer on dice game and poker game rather than lottery gambling which ain't know how many chances of winning we had. Maybe 0.5%  Cheesy
If you gamble in the lottery, then make sure you gamble on gambling sites that are truly trusted with real provably fair and 100% paying. because sometimes we don't know how the site determines the winner of the player, right? moreover the chance to win in the lottery is not determined by luck but from the capital you have.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: September 07, 2019, 11:01:30 AM
Must say that I personally didnt expect to see Holland to win in Germany, I expect to see draw, with goals. But this is bigger shock for Germany then for me, another game that was surprised for me was easy win of Croatia. After WC in Russia they dont play like they play there, maybe this match is something that will trigger them to play better.
You should not be surprised because in the last few years, Holland have a good performance, they have become finalists in the last tournament, Holland play very good in the middle and strong in the back, this makes them have a good game and really deserve to win
137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: September 07, 2019, 09:58:25 AM
Emre Can was disappointed not to be included by Juventus in the 2019/2020 Champions League squad. Can accused Juventus of breaking its promise.

Juventus released their squad for the 2019/2020 Champions League. Of the 22 players registered, there is no Can name.
"I was very surprised. Our conversation was only a minute and I was not given a reason. That made me angry and disappointed," Can told Bild as reported by Italian Football.
Maybe this is karma for leaving Liverpool because they want to play in a better caste, have a greater chance of winning the champions league. instead Can was dropped from the list of players in the champions league. even though in my opinion Can is a great midfielder, I'm surprised why Sarri didn't include him in the squad.
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 07, 2019, 09:40:48 AM
I do not think this is much of a problem for city, if Stones gets back fit and stays fit, then larpote wouldn't be too missed.
Fernandinho is also a very good option for that position, he is strong and his distribution is very good, city have the depth to cover for injuries.

City can literally play with 2 CB only. Even if they have trouble covering that position, it won't cost them that much as long as they can dominate the game like usual. Unless they face Liverpool or some team on their same level, City will keep rocking like usual.

Well, it would be interesting to see if they can play with some weakness. At least the title battle would be more interesting than usual if we can see the top 2 slippings once in a while.

Every big club which plays 2 games every week cannot rely only on 2 CB.
They need to make a signing for this position asap. City's CB would be tired and they have problems till the end of the season if they need to play every game until December.
Depending on their rival and the strategy of their coach, even Liverpool sometimes don't leave 1 CB when a counter attack or when a corner happen. See how often Van dijk and Matip do overlap to help attacking, and even when they apply defense strategy positions they only put 2 CB in back because their 2 WB are more likely to attack. and City have strong center backs like Liverpool too, so they often have strategies like this also.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the difference between binary option and gambling? on: September 07, 2019, 09:05:54 AM
My question is that,  is binary options part of the gambling industry as it deals with betting?
No it isn't part because there were legit binary option brokers and this isn't part of gambling industry. They are already considered as gambling since they do only have two options on how to win a binary bet.You can base of trading movements into actual market movements which means its not totally gambling that we know where luck is 100% needed since this one do have some basis.

I think so, how can you predict where the market will take place in a period of just a few minutes? What components are there to do the analysis to determine where the market will be going to up or down, of course it is very difficult right? therefore binary can be said to be closer to gambling than technical analysis or trade.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 06, 2019, 08:54:45 AM
Nemanja Matic has been short of playing at Manchester United this season. Matic stressed that there was no problem with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
MU has played four matches in the English League this season. Matic inhabits the bench a lot, he once became a substitute when Manchester United offset Southampton 1-1.
Matic was reportedly by British media that they were getting hot because they didn't get a chance to play. Although rumored to be leaving Old Trafford, he remained until the transfer window closed.

whereas Nemanja Matic became Manchester United's mainstay last season. It is really a shame if he has to be on the bench.
But also we have to respect the coach's decision, maybe there is a strategy that wants to be done without Nemanja Matic in it.
Still confused why Solskjaer who always plays Jesse Lingard, even though he did not provide big contrubution to the team. the assists he gave during the last 3 seasons are still inferior to Adam Johnson, even though he's been in prison for 3 years lol. Man utd still need a lot of star players, to strengthen the squad of his team.

Ole doesn’t play Matic because he’s not fast enough for his system, and he tends to slow the team down whenever he’s playing. I’m not sure why the club retained him for this season, they should have sold him and brought Bruno instead as it’s evident we needed a strong midfielder. @iMark Lingard gets to play because he’s a British player and has graduated from the club academy, and Ole is his big admirer so until we get a new coach we’ll see lot of game time for Lingard.
That's not a good coach for me, if he gives players the chance to play just because they are 1 academy, 1 country, or emotional closeness. precisely that will destroy the team itself, the squad line up its must be based on the player who has the best conditions and on fire. aAnd Matic is ready with every match, but he is not given any chance to play.
