121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Profit matters most in crypto currency on: January 03, 2020, 06:28:50 PM
Right now crypto currency is all about trading and thus, profits become an important part of it.
People hardly use crypto for the purpose it was created that is giving people an independent form of monetary system. Something which is not controlled by anyone and everyone is responsible for his/her money. The decentralized crypto currency is finding it hard to be used as one. We mainly use it for speculation purposes, to grow our investment and then convert it back into fiat for the actual use.
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be realistic for the world to run on cryptocurrencies? on: January 03, 2020, 05:52:00 PM
It will become a reality only.
The main hindrance right now is that not everyone on this planet is digitally connected. So you can't expect the transition to happen globally. but it can start from some Asian countries like South Korea or Japan.
The world can run on cryptocurrencies but not the decentralized one. Such cryptocurrencies will be controlled and maintained by the government and central banks just like fiat. It will be just an easier way to maintain transparency and reduce the cost.
123  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Health tips people need to know on: January 03, 2020, 11:39:06 AM
You only get one body, the way you treat it today goes along way to determine your health in the long term. What if you were allowed to have just one vehicle your whole life? You'd have to take care of it, change the oil, filters, tires, decide what fuel source is best and a lot more. This might seem like the best comparison, but cars have easily replaceable parts.
These are a few health tips. I added some links so you could read more about your health.

1. Drink Water.

2. Hand washing is a life saving routine of the last century. https://globalhandwashing.org/about-handwashing/history-of-handwashing/

3. Antibiotics should be taken only when prescribed by your Doctor. They are not a magical cure for every pain in your body. Stick strictly to the dose, and completely you prescription.   Misuse of antibiotics creates an Antibiotics Resistance apocalypse. https://www.nationaljewish.org/treatment-programs/medications/medicine-safety/antibiotics-use-and-misuse

4. Being skinny doesn’t mean you’re healthy.

5. Always let the doctor know (especially when asked) about all the parts you had removed, implants and drugs you’re on.

6. It doesn’t matter how you feel now, you need some kind of exercise.

7. You kidneys and Liver naturally do all the detoxification you ever need. Except in kidney/liver failure, you don’t need to spend money on all these detox teas. https://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/liver-detox

8. Never Ever boil Breast milk.

9. Type 2 diabetes can be largely prevented by a healthy lifestyle. You can save your future self a lot of diabetes complications. https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/disease-prevention/diabetes-prevention/preventing-diabetes-full-story/

10. Speak up! Share symptoms with your doctor. They don’t need to ask before you say.

11. Don’t give honey to children below the ages of 1. https://www.poison.org/articles/2010-jun/dont-feed-honey-to-infants

12. Do not Use Soap douching water inside your vagina. You should wash your labia (the area around your vagina) instead. Just like your eyeballs, your vagina is self-cleansing, you don’t wash your eyeballs. Washing it flushes out the good bacteria that’s supposed to be there, which automatically gets replaced by bad bacteria (yeast infection). https://www.healthline.com › healthWeb resultsHow to Clean Your Vagina and Vulva: 13 FAQs on Soaps, Scents, More - Healthline

13. Reduce Salt and Sugar intake.

14. The orifice a baby comes out and that of urine is different. It’s shocking how many people don’t know the anatomy of women. https://courses.lumenlearning.com/boundless-ap/chapter/the-female-reproductive-system/

15. Don’t postpone seeing a dermatologist , if you see any skin moles that are:
A - asymmetrical B - border (odd borders, like they're jagged or something) C - Colour (different colours) D - Diameter (grows) E - Evolve (Well, evolves)
It might be skin cancer.

16. Lifestyle Modification is the First line of treatment for most common diseases. If you knew the complications of diabetes, hypertension or most common disease, you take healthy lifestyle changes serious.

17. You often will feel normal (asymptomatic) with high blood pressure. 1/3 of people living with hypertension don’t know it. Most people find out incidentally, during check ups. Don’t wait until it gives you symptoms you totally don't want to go through. https://www.webmd.com/hypertension-high-blood-pressure/guide/hypertension-symptoms-high-blood-pressure

18. You mental heath is just as important as your physical health. Damage to one, would affect the other.

19. Teeth are considered as luxury bones and must be treated golden. Brushing your teeth twice daily would save you thousands of dollars in the future.

20. The immune system is an incredibly complex organization of cells that communicates readily to destroy anything deemed hostile within the body. The immune system explains why/how vaccines are supposed/designed to work, why allergies complications differs, and why transfusions/transplants procedures are hard to successfully pull off.

21. Allergies may fade out overtime. When exposed to a non-threatening level of an allergy for a long enough time, the body decides that it's not really a threat anymore.

22. Get Sleep. Psychosis could result from not having slept over a long period of time. A few extra hours of sleep might be the solution to a psychological disturbance.

23. There is a vestigial remnant of the uterus located in the prostate (in males). called the prostatic utricle. It is a duct that leads nowhere.  It sometimes has some remote endometrium in it which produces one drop of blood every 28 days.

27. Some things aren’t meant to go in your rectum. And when you’re rushed in ER, you don’t need to lie saying you ‘fell on it’, we know you didn’t.

These are health tips, and shouldn’t be taken as Diagnosis or treatment. ALWAYS SEE YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT YOUR HEALTH.

Yes, I’m a doctor. I’ll do well to add more tips. Please do add to the list when you can. Got some tips/inspiration from https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/ca3ije/doctors_of_reddit_what_is_something_that_you_wish/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

"treat your body like Cubans treat their 1950s VW beetles"

For me and what I personally follow : dehydration , getting good sleeo , eating healthy , staying away from junk and exercising are few things to stay healthy. Exercising atleast 3 days a week and maintaining your diet is very important.  Not really necessary to go join a gym but simple jogging can help maintain a good health.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel more lucky than usual when it's New Year's. on: January 03, 2020, 11:08:11 AM
I lived in this misconception, once before the New Year I had a good profit, and it happened again 2 years in a row.
I thought I was more lucky when the New Year.
Of course this is not true, the casino never changes under the influence of the social factor.
The casino is the same as always no change.
Or maybe there is?

Personally for me , new year is like any day and so I dont believe it influences the casinos systems. All that comes to my mind is that during new year time , there arw two kinds of players which you witness on the table. The one who wants to play safe and continue to play safe next year too and the others who want to give it all to win big before the start of the new year. I feel its the behaviour of the players which influences games during new year and not the casino systems.
125  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Cryptocurrency threatens governments on: January 02, 2020, 08:11:00 PM
Cryptocurrency puts the whole monetary system in jeopardy which is being highly controlled by government and banks. But if you talk in numbers. The crypto market cap isn't that big that banks or government would care much at this stage. Decentralized currency could be a threat to these banks but not in its present form. It will have to go a long way to actually replace the present monetary ecosystem if possible. I guess these central authorities will take measures to curb the rise of cryptocurrency by then.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin scams and new Bitcoin users on: January 02, 2020, 05:24:50 PM
The stage where bitcoin needs a trust factor among the traditional investors to boost adoption, these scams are increasing at double the rate year after year. This isnt good for the cryptocurrency ecosystem overall. Not only it will create a hindrance to new traders or investors but will also make already existing traders and investors lose interest or trust. Volume is already struggling and in such a scenario these crime rates are not helping.
More emphasis should be given to educate people about the whole ecosystem and make them technically effecient so that they can bypass such hacks and scams.
127  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution is a hoax on: January 02, 2020, 10:43:09 AM
Why there are still monkeys around if they were part of our evolutionary beginnings ?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cz0gFarCfBE

We and monkeys come from the same ancestors , the difference is that our ancestors took the faith jamp to get out of trees , walk on two limbs to reach food on trees and search food on land. Soon they started moving in groups , developed ways to communicate and also made toolsnto chip stones and hunt wild animals on land.  While the ancestors of monkeys were still on tress , living life , jumping from one tree to other in search of food.
128  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Car and Driver licensing on: January 01, 2020, 06:59:21 PM
Is not your car your property? And are you not a free man/woman in a free country? I think Government should pay us to get licensed and to have our vehicle licensed.

What do you think?

Cool
Driving license is not ownership doc but eligibility to drive documents. When you are in control of a moving object and people around are subjected to possible injuries and fatalities , you need responsible driver on road and hence you need test and a doc to support that.
129  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin support levels on: January 01, 2020, 06:37:25 PM
Right now the most important support level is that of $6700. It has enough volume for bulls to sustain in case it gets tested again. But if breached, price gonna go for a downward spiral and it will be a bloody day for the altcoins as well which are already testing their all time lows.
But Bitcoin has been successfully defending the support and looking for breaching the resistance of $7560. That if breached can take the price to $9000s.
130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What matters most to online casinos? on: January 01, 2020, 02:35:49 PM
I've been running a topic for the last few days, what attracts most people to online casino and what keeps them?
In my opinion, the most important indicator is the financial situation, as much as you got lost.
If it's not a tense background, it's very important to me that the background is calm and relaxes me.
Your opinion.

What I feel and I can vouch for the majority of people on this forum , the two most important things thay matter when it comes to online forum would be its UI/UX and KYC requirements. The interface should be easy to use and still attractive and also there is a preference of no KYC especially when it comes to dealing in crypto.
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Real reasons to Why do you gamble? on: January 01, 2020, 07:05:34 AM
Maybe it's asked before, still, it will help us a lot.

Why do you gamble?

Why do you do not invest that money instead?
Why you do not donate them?

Because you are bored?
Because you are looking for entertainment?
Because you are going after the big score?

Why?

I now gamble , mostly with crypto to win gains and make side money. But I got into gambling, starting with card games like Rummy & poker for the fun and the card games itself were good to pass time with friends & family. The blinds were low , sometimes not even there but we continued playing as we liked the game and excitement during rare card draws or moves.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is difficult to accept in countries on: December 31, 2019, 01:55:07 PM
The best part when it comes to Bitcoin is that it is anonymous so you can actually bypass government and banks if you don't leave your identity trace by converting it in Fiat through banks. You can trade and earn btc and can spend it online without leaving any trace. That was the fundamental reason why Bitcoin was created in first place to keep government and banks out of the monetary system and let people decide and govern their money.
133  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I Buy Bitcoin Now? on: December 30, 2019, 10:15:42 AM
Bitcoin is not much above its most strongest support of $6.6k. there is enough volume there to keep the price above that price point. It got tested many a times undefeated. So yes, you can look for an entry at the present price point. There might be a price recovery in near future as whales have been accumulating for the longest period now and they will make a move soon which I expect to be in bullish direction.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are underutilizing Bitcoin on: December 30, 2019, 06:29:18 AM
Full article: https://www.forrestvisions.com/blog/people-are-underutilizing-bitcoin

People need to start accepting Bitcoin and keeping it, not converting it.

If you think of Bitcoin as just a virtual placeholder for fiat currency, stable coins will be the future and Bitcoin will slowly fade away.

Thoughts?
But the problem is with the utility. People are ready to spend their Bitcoin without converting it to Fiat. But where are the options? There aren't much merchants or vendors ready to accept btc as payment. Even if they do, they will most probably convert it to fiat. The high volatility it comes with is not sound for any stable business. These are the underlying issue because of which btc is more of an investment asset which can be converted to fiat for any use. It hasn't evolved as a currency yet.
135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you learn as a gambler? on: December 30, 2019, 04:52:09 AM
You probably heard the negative sides of gambling, some people who dont gamble has this bad impression towards it and we cant blame them for thinking that way because of the bad affect of gambling to a person who dont have control and let himself became addicted.

Now what did you realize or learn as a gambler (regardless if you became an addicted or not) that you can share to others?

As a former addicted gambler I realized that gambling is not the answer if you're desperate to grow your money and should not be our last resort in times like this because there's other way that can be the solution to our problem when it comes to money.

Beside learning the game itself & strategy related to it, I also learnt the value of money & started spending it judiciously. Losses in gambling taught me how to save and limit of expenses, especially during the hard times when I had very lil money to get a blind to play.
136  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Did we actually really land on moon? on: December 29, 2019, 06:12:49 AM
Ok, don't throw me into the same basket for the believers of conspiracy theories.

I believe Earth is NOT flat. I don't believe there are aliens in Area 51.

But this question is factually not very convincing and it is, did we actually land on moon in 1969.

There are many compelling evidences, facts etc that proves that indeed we landed on moon.

But even in 21st century where there an accident with Kalpana Chawla who merely went to space and came back, it sounds too good to be true that in 1969, we landed on the moon which is around 300000 kms or 186000 miles from the Earth with those time of technologies and successfully came back. Remember, the first apple computer was launched in 1976.

I'm not saying we didn't, I'm just saying that it's not really a question that can be debunked like other theories which says Earth is flat.

we did land on moon, but if we really talk about the first landing by apollo 11 I have my own doubts. there are videos and documentaries which try to prove the landing wrong and consider them as hoax. it was in time when USSR and USA were going through a cold war which was basically fought at technological front and USA was desperate to go an extra mile after USSR's successful launch of Sputnik. For more, watch such videos on youtube and you would kind of believe it as hoax too.
137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with Fiat or Crypto? on: December 29, 2019, 05:56:25 AM
What's best for gambling online? Crypto or Fiat? As for me, I'd rather go full crypto than Fiat for many obvious reasons. Crypto may be extremely volatile, but it's anonymous (depending on the coin) and censorship-resistant. Fiat may bring convenience to people that are not tech-savvy enough to understand crypto, but it can easily be traced by worldwide governments.

Crypto enables online casinos to perform their operations in a somewhat anonymous fashion. Both the gambler and the owner benefits from this. But I understand that crypto is still not accepted at physical casinos. In this regard, Fiat is the winner.

Nonetheless, what are your thoughts? Huh

i started with fiat when I got introduced to gambling and that too it was limited to card games with friends. Soon i started going to traditional casinos and stuck to playing and winning with fiat. lately, like about 2 years back, i got into crypto for basic reason that make most get into crypto. The most likely reason to get into crypto was its volatility , the rewards were higher with risk to lose higher too. Also, for many people , crypto requirement of minimum KYC and it anonymity attracts most of the gamblers.
138  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: December 28, 2019, 07:04:29 PM

Guns are made for one purpose, and that purpose is to kill.
I believe that guns are not weapons, they are tools. How they are used is up to the person holding it.
Guns are especially dangerous in the hands of people who don't know how to use them (i.e., kids and teenagers) as well as those who are mentally ill and/or have a temper problem.
Gun control will not stop violence because a violent person doesn’t need a gun to be violent.
After the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, support for gun control increased dramatically.

Generally in America, the support for gun control has outweighed the support for gun rights.
Are gun control laws constitutional?
What would be your ideal set of laws regarding firearms?

There has been 10 percent increase in death by guns in America from last year and the toll reached to an astonishing number. Both demand and supply have to be restricted to control the gun market. Special rules and amendments have to be in place to restrict the growth of gun market and also cut the demand.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your thought about halving? on: December 28, 2019, 03:06:34 PM
People are hyping the halving a lot. If you look at the past trends, halving didn't make much a difference in price. The same gonna happen in 2020. Not much of a price change is expected in my opinion.
Regarding supply and demand. Market is in initial stage right now. The demand is a lot already there and potential market if captured can take up all the supply and boost the price. But right now, it is pretty stagnant which gonna be the case next year too. So, I am not expecting much from the coming halving.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use betting tips? on: December 28, 2019, 01:43:50 PM
From my personal experience I used, I paid about $ 70 a month, and I got a ticket every 2 days with odds 3-4, I was not satisfied, I guessed poorly (more precisely that tipser), out of 15 tickets, the hits were 7. which is very bad for that odds. I lost a lot on that, so I'm interested in your experience?

Personally never thought of paying someone to provide me tips on how to win in gambling or betting. When it comes to card games, I play safe and for fun. While for sports betting, I follow the sports I bet into and also ask my sporty friends for help in prediction. Never really thought of using consultancy services when it comes to gambling.
