121  Economy / Speculation / Re: I believe Bitcoin will surge to new heights after this dip on: May 18, 2024, 09:59:18 PM
You don't need to consult or listen to analysis from any analyst, bitcoin's price increase is inevitable and will definitely happen, the only problem is time. That's why people often advise each other not to pay too much attention to the short-term volatility of bitcoin, look at the long term and bitcoin will never disappoint us.
I have not heard this in a long time and like the advice Smiley
It's funny how all these guys have appointed themselves experts of Bitcoin but where nowhere to be seen when price was worthless and few believed in crypto...but today have become the loudest!!

Btw, I do agree we don't need the so called consultants because we already know that Bitcoin supply is in a limited supply and price is going in one direction..which is UP.
Precisely. Bitcoin price increase is inevitable so we should not be bothered too much whenever bitcoin price touches some dips because clearly, that is a good motivation for bitcoin to reach an all time high after. We have seen this on the previous years so this isn’t new to us anymore.

Bitcoin is highly volatile so never expect that its price will stay high or low consistently. But for sure bitcoin won’t settle for any low or less value, but it’s price will always appreciate in time, we just have to wait for the right time when it’s suppose to happen.
122  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What motivated you to join the forum? on: May 18, 2024, 09:19:33 PM
Different individual will have a different concept of what motivated then to join this community because I know quite well that from initial this community was not having a larger number it has today because there are still an advertisement by many persons we are doing in order to make the community to be known but today the community has been known based on much interest on people to Bitcoin because here is the shortest way you can learn the advantages and the disadvantages of Bitcoin without payment and I can see that what motivated people to come to this community is to acquire the knowledge of Bitcoin.
Acquiring bitcoin knowledge could be the first goal but in the end, it turns out making some profits out from being knowledgeable about bitcoin could be the final goal. I believe a lot would agree to this because through bitcoin knowledge and development of skills, we can always look for job opportunities that suit our skills and talents, or we can start engaging in bitcoin investment through long term hodling and make good profits when we start selling our bitcoin.

However, either it’s for pure knowledge or for profits, it’s still an advantage for us knowing about bitcoin and the crypto space since the world is turning into digital, and this could be a good preparation for us so we can be more aware and ready to use them as a mode of payment in the future, as they’re actually designed to perform as a currency, not just an investment tool alone.
123  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying Vs Renting a Home- Which is the right move? on: May 18, 2024, 08:46:13 PM
Not a financial advice but if you have the financial capability to buy or build yourself a house then this would be better. If the idea is to generate profit with a large amount of money, which is why others choose to rent, well price of a property continuously increases over the years. But if you don't have this stretch on your budget then of course renting would be a better alternative. Bottomline is long term and short term views. There are also rent to own properties which could be an option as well

But I do also like the idea of renting an apartment or house. If you're in an apartment, you could leave the house for a vacation and just advice the landlord to make you free of worries. Another is if you are having a bad neighborhood, you could just move to other rental properties. Lastly, since you will be having enough financial margin, you will have an edge to engage with investments and if it will be profitable, you could plan of purchasing a property of your own afterwards.
You’re right there. Renting could be the best option if you still don’t have the means to buy, or if you want to reserve your funds for other purposes like building a business or investment first and when it profits, buying a house will be one of your goals. However, not all investments come into flourish and progress that you might end up with a wrong investment and lose all your funds. The reason why some who have all the means to buy prioritized buying their own house first before they will try to engage in investments where risks are inevitable.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 18, 2024, 08:08:30 AM
Indiana Pacers vs New York Knicks game is tonight, New York Knicks are ahead 3-2 in the series and if they win tonight, they will play against Boston Celtics in the final.

Pacers didn't allowed that to happen, we have a game 7 and the momentum now is on the Pacers. Aside from that, Knicks seemed to have another injury problem with Josh Hart's abdominal soreness. We have to follow the update of this, if that will heal soon the better so he'll be ready in game 7 as they can't afford to lose another player after losing OG recently. Also, Knicks look tired, and they played small ball which doesn't really help them as they can't grab rebounds, and that resulted to a big rebounds disparity, 35 for them while Indiana has 47.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 18, 2024, 07:12:49 AM
it was a great morning when I wake up, a big win by the Pacers and the Nuggets have controlled the game. From down below 50%, now I'm up to 52%. Just a slow process and hopefully we will reach the 55% in no time.

So having another early picks, hopefully the streak will continue.

Cleveland +8.. Celtics may win but this time it will not be a blowout. I think the Cavaliers will play harder, will make good adjustment before leaving for the Celtics in game 5.  (win)

Dallas -1. I like them to take the 3-1 in the series. It's been 2 straight the Dallas had won and the OKC was not able to make the right adjustment. Irving hasn't played his best yet in the series, this game he might explode. (loss)

\\  Updated record 18(W)-17(L)..... 52%

It's a do or die game for the OKC tomorrow, while the Dallas would want to win the series at home. On the last 5 games, Dallas has more impressive win so I don't see the OKC coming back and force a game 7 on their home court. It might be a public bet but I believe based on the trend on the series, the home team could easily dominate, therefore my pick is ...

DALLAS -3.5
126  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can a newbie make investment before learning? on: May 17, 2024, 10:25:17 PM
I will not going to suggest any newbie to invest in crypto before learning because cryptocurrency trading is high risky, you can loss you all fund if you invest with out proper knowledge.
While I am going to suggest them to invest in Bitcoin only if they want to start. But it doesn't mean that they need not to invest to learning first. Every investor should be wise and that's what I am going to tell them to do. They need to DYOR.

Even it is with Bitcoin, they need to understand how it goes and how the market works for everyone. If they proceed to trading without that much understanding and idea of how the market works, they're just burning their money easily.

Because even then if you want to invest on bitcoin long-term you have know at least the basic about it .
I agree and I hope they understand it very well.
Investing in bitcoin is not actually risky. It only gets risky if you see it as a get rich quick tool. However, of course basic learning is vital so you can avoid too much losses while starting, and I think that’s not hard at all. Just merely reading and understanding what you have read can also already provide you valuable insights. Just never stop learning and finding out the reasons why you lose consistently, that way you will master your investment in due time.
127  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can I get into trading on: May 17, 2024, 09:59:50 PM
The first step is find resource materials online for trading. Read veraciously like your life depends on them. Babypips.com is a good place to source trading materials as a greenhorn. Get hold of different trading platforms (maybe two or three) to demo trade what you've been reading.
If you are having problems with understanding what you are reading, and it is not really making sense to you, you can get someone to assist you by explaining in their own terms and understanding some of these trading lessons.

Learning to trade will also need you to motivate yourself heavily because many traders who start out to learn trading end up quitting because it looks too difficult to learn.
I have to agree. Don’t make trading difficult for you regardless if you are still a beginner. I don’t actually agree that it’s always best to learn the harder way. Because for me, that would only make you easily quit and lose interest in trading.

If you can find someone who will serve as your mentor in trading, I think that would be more great. Trading even if a lot would say that it’s highly tough and risky, will always end up easier once you have someone that will help you along the way. Just do your own diligence to learn as well, and try to be patient as much as possible, I believe you will be a successful trader in the end.
128  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dropping Bitcoin price could significant rewards for investors in future. on: May 17, 2024, 08:58:45 PM
I guess many people know that when the price is dumping is a sign to prepare, how to buy from the market, and anyone that will buy when the price is low in the market he or she will have a good opportunity to make a high profit than the one that will buy when the price is high.

Since, I know that there is a brighter future when you buy BTC when the price is low and hodl it like 3 or 4 years before you can trade, it will make you to be using that strategy to buy from the market to have that opportunity to take profits whenever there is a bull run.

Since many crypto analysts has predicted, that there will be another bull season before the end of this year, i will try to use this period to add more BTC to my wallet so that I will make it when the bull run occur.
That would be a good decision. Don’t be fearful when you see btc price reaching its dips because if you look it more closely, that would be a good opportunity to increase your investment. So buy and hold every time bitcoin price dips, and sell your coins when btc price reaches its peak. P

Patience is a virtue in bitcoin. The more you become patient, the more likely you will come to avoid losses, but will definitely increase your chances to be in profits.
129  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Wait for the right set-up on: May 17, 2024, 07:57:25 PM
( ...)
But waiting for the right set-up gives you an edge in the market, when you trade only when you sees an opportunity, you will mostly comes out profitable, as long as you knows the craft a little, but probing the market every now and then will only make you lose money, because trading is more of patience and knowledge.
This is very true because, even with how many trade losses you did as long as you have stopped the loss and are not eager to get into a new trade, you will be profitable.
Sometimes 1 perfect trade will able to get your losses back, so at the end, you end up profitable as long as you waited for the right set-up and not chasing losses.
Don’t chase your losses because you will only lose more, but chase for more trading knowledge and experience so you can win your trades. Trading is like gambling, the challenge to win and be in profits is always high, but sometimes all we need to do is just wait for the right timing and set -up to trade so that we can lessen the chances of losing and increase the potentials of making profitable trades.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End Goal or Keep HODLing? on: May 16, 2024, 09:58:50 PM
Personally, I see it as a currency in terms of use of service and not just the part where it's valuable that it is being used on a day-to-day basis. It's not ideal now obviously but integrating it would be nice.

In terms of the end goal, I think it's never going to be enough now, especially seeing how valuable it really is now. It's just really amazing. I wouldn't sell unless I need to.
I also don't think any sane person would sell their saved bitcoins at this time when everyone is seeing how high the price of bitcoin is now and how much higher it can go. I regret that six months ago I sold some of my bitcoins, now I wish I hadn't sold them.

It is said that a man learns from his past mistakes, so I think no one should make this mistake now, if they have old bitcoins they bought when the market was very much down, they should save them for at least six months or a year from this point because we are yet to witness the actual bull run which generally occurs after the halving event in every Bitcoin cycle.
Obviously now is not the right time to decide to sell since bull run isn’t happening yet. And even if bull run is finally here, I wouldn’t suggest to sell everything you have just to get massive returns. Leave some of your coins for another years of long term hodling because bitcoin price proves to appreciate in time, so the longer you hold, the bigger the profits you will earned. Although one should not hold until forever, but if ever you want to sell them all, make sure that you have reached your goal price, otherwise you will regret thinking wishing you did not sell them all.
131  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Making a long post is not the ultimate on: May 16, 2024, 08:59:43 PM
If you can hit a keyword and get straight to the point on a particular topic, what's the point of stressing things?

The more you write, sometimes it complicates things without the author even realising it. At the beginning, most of the long text might have meaning, but the more you read it, the more confused you get about what the person is saying.
Exactly. The longer your post, the more visible errors will appear, which makes the post more confusing and will lost its main thought in the end. It’s always best to go straight to the point with a short but precise post, than to make a longer post and all you’ve seen are irrelevant and unnecessary points of view. With that, the reader will definitely lost its interest to start reading or to continue reading.
132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why are people getting scared to Trade on: May 15, 2024, 09:42:03 PM
It's simple. If people are afraid to trade, they are doing the right thing. 100 people not trading will save their money. And the time not spent trading will be an opportunity to multiply that money. Out of 100 people who trade, 50 will lose all their money. And only 5 people will make money
You may save your money from losses, but you will also miss out opportunities in growing your money which trading is highly capable of doing. But of course, you won’t trade just because of that but you aim to trade because you have knowledge and develop some skills and strategies that you think may work in trading. While a lot of people may be fearful about trading, but if all these people will not go outside from their comfort zone, they will not experience progress and productivity, most especially in their financial aspects.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney - Sandor Martin Ordered By WBC For The Light Welterweight Title on: May 13, 2024, 05:05:00 PM
I think Haney will be able to regain himself here. I don't see his opponent to be dangerous to be honest because he has a low KO rat
He may have a low knock-out rate, but the guy can box and is very sleek he almost beat Teofimo Lopez if he had not rallied in the latter rounds the fight ended in a split decision, he can beat Sandor but he will have a tough task doing this because part of his resume is a fight against Mickey Garcia which I already mentioned, I think this is a good test for Haney if he can pass Sandor who is a worthy opponent then Haney is back on the track, those beatings coming from Ryan will take a toil for a long time if he can knock out Sandor then he is really back and can move on with that harrowing experience.
Well I guess I trust your judgement on this as you have followed this boxer already. I'm just merely basing on Sandor's boxing record and I didn't find it impressive. Sandor's advantage is just probably his experience, but he is not the same as Ryan or better than him, I don't see him beating Haney in this fight. I hope I'm wrong though as I really hate the style of Haney, not so entertaining but now he cannot boast anymore his undefeated record as Ryan gave him that 1 loss.

based on https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/578364... out of 42 wins, he only have 15 KO, and he has 3 losses already. So I believe this fighter is not really a threat to Haney. This might look like a tune-up fight for Haney to get back in the game, but he is not the same fighter anymore as he was already beaten by Ryan Garcia.
I believe he is a threat and a very challenging opponent he is a technical fighter who can hurt his opponent but let's see if Hearns will do something to avoid Sandor; Sandor can upset Haney, and this is not a profitable fight for Hearns, some people may see it as a tune fight for Haney, but there's a risk involved if it's coming from an experienced fighter like Sandor.

If that was already ordered, can Haney avoid him? I think it's not wise to avoid him as it will only create rumors than Haney have avoided him because he doesn't want to loss his belt. I guess for now I will be checking the fight highlights of Sandor and maybe I can agree with you.

135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 13, 2024, 11:39:49 AM
This is an enjoyable series we are watching. In the first games, Denver Nuggets could not play as expected, but we watched a very good fight in the last 2 games. On one side, Jokic and on the other, Anthony Edwards is doing his best to win the series. As far as we have seen so far, the end of this series may not be until the last match, I think the fight will continue like this.
I even think that the team that wins this series will be the conference champion, maybe they can be the champion of this season. We see the biggest fight we have seen in the playoffs here
Homecourt is not anymore an advantage in this match, but whoever wins the next game might win the series. I think the Nuggets had already figured out how to beat the Wolves as in the last 2 games, they were in control. I like to see what kind of adjustments the wolves will do in game 5, as mentioned, it's the most important game in the series so they should play with hard defense to prevent the Nuggets from taking the lead.

Minny have 2 bigs, but they could not put Jokic in big foul trouble so he'll be limited. We know that with Jokic on the court, he can make his teammates better, so they should target him.

I was disappointed with the Cavaliers, I thought they'll be better at home but they were dominated by the Celtics. Anyway, let's move on to the upcoming games and see if we can get all 2 games.

So we have an early game too. Pacers vs Knicks, the home team won last game but it was a close one, however, I think they are still gonna win and all I hope is that they'll cover the spread. If they can dominate the Knicks, they'll be able to carry that momentum when they travel to Knicks for game 5.

Pacers -5.5 is my pick.  (win)

2nd game, I'm looking forward for the Nuggets to even the series, so Nuggets +2.5. (win)

137  Economy / Speculation / Re: When is next significant correction coming? on: May 12, 2024, 09:45:41 PM

This correction was the one that probably was the last one, I do not expect to have any other big corrections to be fair and I am not sure why would it even happen if you ask me as well...
Surely many people are praying and hoping this is the last adjustment before we enter the most anticipated price increase season. But I have other thoughts and hopes, I hope that there will be a final adjustment in September/October this year and that will be the last chance for those who missed the train and those who want to optimize their investment. But to be able to achieve that, I hope that by July or August the market will soon recover and grow again before another major correction. This is just my speculation and plan, I hope it will happen.
In my opinion, bull season starting at the end of the year will be the perfect time.
I have to say that price correction would still be happening most often these days despite of how eager we are we would want to put an end to that and start seeing a new all time high. Bitcoin will always be volatile, most especially if we are already in the bullish season. That is inevitable so all we have to do is remain calm and patient so we won’t resort into making wrong decisions.

But I have to agree that it’s best to see the bull run at the end of the year. It’s just that we don’t hold how bitcoin price moves in the market.
138  Economy / Economics / Re: Take care of your money and learn to save. on: May 12, 2024, 09:14:49 PM
We should have financial literacy so that we can cope without stress in everything we do with our wealth. That is why rich people has financial advisor so they can seek advice if ever something is bothering them or they want something fixed. For us average individuals we also need to manage our money so we cannot over spend on something we don't really need I mean we should always prioritize our need than wants.
Regardless of our life’s status, we should always learn how to manage our finances. Otherwise, spending without limits and without setting goals will turn our finances going into waste, one thing that we should not let it happen most especially with our hard-earned funds. Instead, make use of your money wisely, learn to save and invest in potential projects or properties. That’s the only way you will grow your money in time. Focus on your needs, not literally on wants so you won’t be spending on useless things.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chased loss, got it back and lost everything. on: May 12, 2024, 01:29:18 PM
Anyone here familiar with this kind of scenario on the title? Just recently saw a compulsive gambler diary which he manage to recover everything when he chased loss then later on he loss it all.

I experience it myself, that's why it's not really recommended to be out of control in gambling, we need to be discipline here. If we want to win consistently, it should be in a way that we treat it like a serious activity, where slowly but gain consistency on what we are doing. Because if we really one to win big time that we will be satisfied without going back in gambling, we should be betting on lottery as the jackpot is in millions, that's one time big time money for us.

I'm choosing the same team for the upcoming games.

I have Dallas -2.5 ( although it does look like a trap). First home game, I feel that they'll win the game and maybe next game the OKC will even the series.  On the 2nd game, nothing will change, I'm still rooting for the cavaliers here, at home they should play better, so I'm taking that +8.
