122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: May 31, 2024, 10:50:11 PM
And here is the official statement coming from MVP, Jake Paul's promotional company who handled this fight,

https://x.com/MostVpromotions/status/1796656906968179112

And they said that they will announced the new date next week, June 7 as when it will be rescheduled. Previous tickets are going to be honored on the new date, but for those who can't attend the new schedule, they will offer a refund.

Not to bash or anything, but this shows that Mike Tyson is really old and should not be pushing for this fight, IMHO.
123  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $84k the Peak for Bitcoin? on: May 31, 2024, 10:30:44 PM
Is 74k the top for this cycle? No.
Is 84 the top for this cycle? No.
I'm more of a 100-150k guy, but I'm not counting out the possibility of 180k (3x).

That would be the worst performing cycle in the history of bitcoin, so I wouldn't bet on that and it would take us from 300% that we saw last cycle to some measly 15%. By betting on that you're betting on bitcoin to completely break the trend. In other words you're betting against bitcoin. If we were to really do 15% this time and end the bull market at that, what would that mean for the next cycle? The rewards would get cut by half and we'd get even less of a bull run than this year? Nothing is certain, but chances for that are so low that I wouldn't put my money on it.
I would settle myself on $100k-$150k as this year’s peak. It’s not really impossible actually to see that price because bitcoin is still taking a slight progress every now and then and when it’s done consistently, we will soon to witness a new all time high at the end of this year, or probably next year. We just need to focus on the possibilities and not settle on unrealistic views and predictions, otherwise we are hitting against bitcoin.

I think that's what most of us here are looking, around that price range, not just because we wanted to, but because of what the numbers are based on it's previous historical logs. I know that past events is not equal to the future, but still it can still hold some value and that's why we come up with that kind of numbers. Besides, Bitcoin data is very young and we can only extrapolate as much data base on it's past.

Nevertheless, it could be a hit or miss, but there's no harm is trying to make a wild and educate guess as to what price will be our next all time high. And with that, $84,000 is not going to be the peak for this cycle's bull run. We might be surprised to see how easy it is to break this number if we got to it.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I can easily find 3 odds games on casinos but hard to find on sport on: May 31, 2024, 09:37:36 PM
I won't change my views about those two.
Casino games are still the addictive part of it.

It's up to the individual though, but many fall for it as they addicted to games like slot machines.

Sports betting is just a hobby. I guess it will depend on each of us on how we view things. Well, it's not like I know too many sports, and most of the sports that I have knowledge of have their hiatus so I don't have a choice but to rest. Other sports that I know play weekly like boxing and MMA. So, I don't know if I can get addicted to it considering I am not on the monitor for the whole day, just once when I place my bets.
In this era, gambling addicts are those who cannot let go of their computer playing almost 24/7 and most of them are betting casino games, not sports. Right?
I have never seen a sport running 24 hours so there will definitely be a rest.

But sports betting winning is not the same as casino games, for one the odds is not that huge in the first place, but still though there are chances that you can fall for it and become addict as you will look for games to bet and there are plenty out there. Maybe the first sign is that you are betting on sports that you are not familiar with, just for the heck of putting money on sports. Or doing a parlay, you are hitting huge odds like x20 or higher and then when you are about to, suddenly one game ruins everything for you and then you back again and again and trying to hit that biggest parlay in your life.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Summer Olympics 2024 on: May 31, 2024, 09:08:53 PM
What really sucks is that we no longer get to see Usain Bolt (was a big fan of Yohan Blake as well).  For me, my favorite Olympic sport hands down is the 100 and 200 meter dash.  After that it would definitely have to basketball.

It's the centerpiece of the Olympics, and I think it is also one of the most watch games when Bolt was in his prime as he was literally blazing in every win and no one can touch him. He is already retired, enjoying life as he had earn a lot of money from sponsorship. As far as Yohan Blake goes, not sure, I haven't followed him, but it looks like he is also retired and so it's time for Jamaica to develop new set of sprinters. Their women side is still battling the US team for supremacy.

As for betting, I'll likely only bet Basketball.  I know I'm going to put down a bet on the US to win it all, who is going to absolutely destroy everyone as this year all the best players decided to play.  Does anyone have a casino they use that allows for US Mens basketball bets to be made now?  The casinos I use for whatever reason only have womens basketball available.  I assume that some of the best international (outside the US) players perhaps havent committed yet?

Of course everyone has his favorite sports to bet, I'm not much into basketball though. But from what I read, the US is going to send a strong team compose of NBA players. So it's exciting to see. Swimming though might be a good event to watch and so is boxing. And everyone is talking about break dancing, LOL, I never thought that it will be introduce as a sports but what can we say, IOC is also evolving.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times all-in save your bankroll? on: May 31, 2024, 08:42:01 PM
I have such situations when I lose control during a gambling session because of emotions and make an all-in bet. It definitely happens that I am lucky and can win back some money, but judging by my observations in most cases such bets lose.

I think some of them have really used this strategy to go all in because we are losing already and we are thinking that just one win, you can get back all the money that you have lost so far. Sometimes it work, but most of the time, since our judgement is clouded already and we can't think right, we bet everything but lost it.

In general, it seems to me that this strategy is very similar to the situation when a gambler trying to win back yesterday's loss, and as we all know to do it very rarely. In my opinion, it is better to stick to your strategy and do not give in to your emotions at such times.

Yes, that's what I'm trying to say, of course you will be happy if you win with your last money. But for sure, once you got it back, gamblers are not going to stop. They want to experience the thrill of winning more and that could be the very dangerous as greed sets-in.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Bitcoin] woman found with £2bn worth of bitcoin on: May 31, 2024, 08:28:35 PM
There are plenty of articles that explain more, such as this CoinDesk article:

Wen was accused of laundering BTC on behalf of Yadi Zhang, whose real name is Zhimin Qian.

Zhimian is alleged to have defrauded around 130,000 investors in China in an investment scam that brought in $5 billion.

Damn!

How do you get people to give you 5 billion dollars? I've seen some ponzi schemes and scams but they were usually in the millions, not billions. Even the famous Charles Ponzi stole $15 million.

She was delusional if she thought she could launder that much money. It's easy to hide $100k and not pay taxes from it, but once you start getting into millions it becomes much harder because expensive assets like real estate and cars can be registered. Someone has to pay property tax, get the required paperwork. You can't have 10 different names to hide 10 purchases because that's eventually going to come to light. You get into 100m+ and it becomes close to impossible.

Well she has a boss who duped a lot of Chinese businessman and then run away. And then this person uses the woman, a Chinese-British to help in laundering this huge amount of Bitcoin. This man was already convicted last March.

Quote
Wen admitted to being control of a bitcoin wallet on behalf of her boss but claimed that she was unaware where the contents had come from.

https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2024/05/24/british-chinese-money-launder-sentenced-to-6-years-in-prison-for-role-in-6b-fraud-ft/

And she got what his boss got as well, guilty and six year and eight months in prison sentence.
128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Rematch: FURY vs USYK 21st December 2024 on: May 30, 2024, 10:02:06 PM
It’s a pity that the loser has a chance for all the belts at once, it seems to me that this is not entirely fair, in my opinion, belts should be collected gradually and not taken away in a bunch (in this case, there may be too many undisputed champions if one loses to a second, a second to a third, etc. ).
It will be interesting to look at the quotes for the fight, the first fight was quoted as absolutely equal to 1.85 - 1.85.
If all the belts were available for the first fight and they had a two-fight clause, then I see no reason why all the belts should not be on the line for the rematch. There is still a chance any of the licencing bodies could come up with some reason to strip Usyk of any of his titles but that seems slim to zero after the IBF seems unlikely to strip Usyk of his belt.
~

Yes, it's true, no one wants to lose their belt (or belts on the first try) so a rematch should ideally have the same value as the first fight. But my reasoning concerns the general situation: let’s say Usyk wins the rematch, but then loses the next fight to some contender. If all the belts are at stake in that fight, then the contender will become the undisputed champion in one fight, in my opinion this should not happen. If I remember correctly, there are fights when one belt is at stake (although the boxer has others), this probably somehow solves this problem.

Depends on which organization are going to let Usyk in this case he won the rematch and has all the belts fight next as their mandatory. So I don't think that the belt will all be in the line in his next fight. Unless the fighter that he is facing is the number 1 contender in all division, but that rarely happen.

So in any case, it will be just one belt in the line in Usyk's next fight. And it's really hard to defend all your belt against all the mandatories of the 4 governing body. That's why there are times that the undisputed champion vacated at least 1 or 2 or even 3 of his belts and then focus on only 1 belt that is most important, usually it's the WBC.

Here is a recent example, Crawford who become undisputed at 140 lbs but then vacated the IBF belt in 2 weeks after unifying.

129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🚨Be careful with Shuffle Crypto Casino. Im Worried about Shuffle Casino Staff. on: May 30, 2024, 09:41:02 PM
OP Shuffle Casino's representative has posted his comment on this thread and I believe that's more than enough to prove that they aren't unreliable as a casino. I believe the leaked data which you mentioned in your thread were leaked from somewhere else instead of Shuffle.

If you haven't KYC approved your accounts on other sites then your thread may have some weight but if you have KYC approved on other sites as well then you can't blame Shuffle because your data could be shared in another site's breached data.
Definitely hard to tell who leaked the data, this is the risk of KYC and seriously you can't just blame one site alone especially if you've done KYC many times already. Losing in a casino and making a false accusation is a not a good attitude, you might not be able to gamble in a good site again if you will do the same thing. If you are still not ok with KYC and don't know the possible risk of it, then better not to give any information to any site asking for KYC for your own peace of mind.

Right, really hard to pinpoint who leaked his data but he suspect that one staff of the casino did it. But it really doesn't make sense as obviously it's against for any employee to do that and I'm thinking that only a few employees whose pay grade is way up that can access users information and not just a ordinary support or just anyone in the casino.

Anyhow, I'm not blaming the OP though, he has his story, but for us, we know that we are very careful on passing our info to any casino, unless it is necessary, like if we win big and they ask for additional document or full document before we can withdraw.
130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: After losing the money in gambling, what is your strategy on: May 30, 2024, 09:27:32 PM
You havr to know Very well that a gambling is a game of risk so whatever thing that I am doing in gambling if I lose in gambling then I will take it if I gain in gambling I will also appreciate we all know that in gambling you must have a lock and opportunity before you be able to win so gambling every time might they give you the opportunity for you to win and the gambling once in a while might also give you another opportunity for you to strategize well so gambling is all about strategies
It's easier said than done. Some people believe they can control their gambling habit or have control of the game, which they don't. The majority of people who even spend much time at the casino end up losing more money over and over again before they realise it. So saying that the more you spend time at the casino, the more chance of winning that you might get is really not a thing for me.

And most of us don't, LOL, that is the pure definition of gambling though, we take the risk because we don't know the outcome, it could be favorable to us or not. But then we wanted to try even more, until we realized that we have fallen to the trap of gambling and that it's hard to get out.

But there are many individuals who with outside help or not, was able to recover and amends and change their ways. But still though, very hard and some of us here are into gambling but maybe learned from our mistakes and then gamble with the money that we can afford to lose.
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deontay Wilder Vs Zhilei Zhang JUNE 1 Heavyweight on: May 30, 2024, 08:53:38 PM
Here is the face of Wilder and Zhang,

As you can see both are ready to battle this weekend at Riyadh and it seems that Wilder is focus because he knows that this is a one and done fight for him. If he losses then it over, if he wins then he can target bigger money fights with any of the big 3, Fury, Usyk and Anthony Joshua.

There's a lot of videos as well, the whole 5 vs 5 card.
132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tank Davis Vs Frank Martin WBA Lightweight Title June 22 HoustonTexas on: May 29, 2024, 11:36:28 PM
Not sure if you have seen this interview, Frank Martin was asked if he is pissed off because Ryan Garcia, his stable mate, is picking up Tank Davis to defeat him.

https://x.com/vinquezada1/status/1795907920443699599

And Frank responded with,

Quote
“He don’t know what he wants to do. I feel like all of the sh*t he be pulling is all fake. Like, you go from being at the press(conference) after his fight saying ‘Frank going to beat him’ then it goes to ‘I bet 1 million tank going to knock him out’.. you know so I feel like it’s fake”

Yeah, Ryan Garcia could be faking everything, as we have seen in his promotion with Devin Haney. Or perhaps he is helping Frank Martin to get media attention with this kind of controversial statement so that the fight will get more attention and revenue.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: May 29, 2024, 11:09:14 PM
Ryan Garcia has stepped up and said he will fight Jake Paul in place of Mike Tyson if needed. I’ll admit that fight I find more intriguing than Tyson, but only because I don’t want to see anything bad happen to Mike. I doubt Ryan Garcia would get the nod either way, but I’m sure Netflix is glad to know they have a decent backup if Mike’s condition continues to deteriorate.
I like this, and if you ask me, this would be far more entertaining to watch than Jake Paul fighting Mike Tyson. but yeah, I agree, I doubt Jake Paul's team would let this go through, Jake Paul has been meticulously nitpicking who he fights. if Mike Tyson's health continues to deteriorate they'd probably look for someone to replace Mike Tyson but it won't be Ryan Garcia(but I wish it would be him if it ever came to that).

It will be entertaining as hell when this two will face each other in the boxing ring. Nevertheless, it might not happen as Jake Paul is used to be cherry picking his opponents to make his look good in and as the same time, easy money for him. A prime and young Garcia doesn't suit his type of opponents. Although they like having a trash talk in social media, it will not equate in a fight.

It's seems that everything has settled down already, Tyson is back and I will assume that he is now continuing with his training and might be closely monitoring one what he eat so that he won't see his ulcer acting up again.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greediness or Addiction -which one is more disastrous? on: May 29, 2024, 10:43:58 PM
Well, I believe that both Greediness and Gambling Addiction make our lives terrible. I was thinking about which one of the two reasons causes more disastrous in our life both in terms of mental health and finances.
Greediness is a part of human life and I know very well that Greediness can not make you to have or develop a mental disorder, mental disorder comes when you are undergoing different things and I know very well that for you to undergo thinks and you think day and night it's what will make you to be stressed and stressing your brain that much will result a problem to our health, why addiction is something I know that can lead for all this things, because when you have experienced such I know very well that it can lead to mental disorder, because you will be that desperate to recover your lost which will lead you into thinking, I think that the dangerous one is to be addicted in gambling

And it's magnified in case of gambling, greediness has ties with addiction. And as per Mirriam-Webster dictionary,

Quote
a selfish and excessive desire for more of something (such as money) than is needed

So it's a desire of a gambler to win big money over and over again. And if you don't win, they will try it again resulting into gambling addiction. So this two are a potent and very dangerous combination to experience for a gambler.

And that's why self-control is very important for any individual so that you won't get into the addiction phase, because once you are inside, very difficult to get out.
135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Rematch: FURY vs USYK 21st December 2024 on: May 29, 2024, 10:22:25 PM
Why again Saudi Arabia ? I think they are better places for a boxing game of this caliber to be held on like Europe per example ? Lately UFC and even WWE chose to have big events there at least 2-3 times per year because of the big amount of money they get from this events but Europe should have have this rematch between Fury and Usyk and even if I vote for Fury , I believe Usyk will have win back 2 back games against him.

Haven't you seen the Saudi has been posting a lot of big fights? Everyone is one board with His Excellency Turki Alalshikh as the powerful broker in boxing as he had most of the biggest fights in the last year or so held on that region.

Europe will also be good place to held this fight, unfortunately, there could not be enough money that can host the rematch more than Saudi itself. The budget, the money being generated is so huge that promoters, and obviously boxers can't refuse the offer of HE Alalshikh. His influence is so big right now.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A list of lucky casinos in crypto on: May 29, 2024, 08:17:29 PM
You might look at any of the top casino websites and see how much of the user's jackpot is being paid,
but some casinos also don't provide transparent data.

This also has to do with how much progressive Jackpot is given by each of the top Online casinos.

Based on the data I read, the biggest Progressive jackpots at some of the top casinos as of May 30, 2024:

Stake: $35 million
BC. Games: $28 million
Bitsler: $17 million
Mega Dice: $12 million
Fairspin: $10 million

Stake is indeed superior to all other casinos, and indeed stake is a fairly popular online casino today.

It's because some of them are really old in the game and that's why the chances of gamblers hitting the progressive jackpot is very high. So no surprises in Stake to be the biggest casinos that have been hit by jackpots. But there could be more, because it's hard to grasp or crunch this data.

However, I don't think that this could be a bench mark, IMHO. Maybe you get lucky and hit on some other casinos not in the list. The most important thing is playing on a casino that will not screw you up when you hit those jackpot and are going to pay you.
137  Economy / Gambling / Re: [VIP Transfer AVAILABLE] MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: May 28, 2024, 11:34:12 PM
Has anyone experienced being logged out while in-game? is that normal? though, my account appears to still be fine after.. 🤔

No, I haven't experience auto log-out when I played, actually the last time I played, 48 hours ago, I forget to log-off. But when I try to go to the site, I'm still automatically log-in. And so my account is still also fine.

Just weird though to see this kind of activity. Hopefully, you are not in a winning run when suddenly you experience being log-out.  Tongue
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deontay Wilder Vs Zhilei Zhang JUNE 1 Heavyweight on: May 28, 2024, 11:12:10 PM
I hope Wilder backs up those words because if he doesn't display what he's preaching then even if he wins, it wouldn't matter because people would find that performance lackluster and the win undeserving. Didn't know that Chinese boxers are fighting in the ring, I thought it's dominated by Mexicans and Americans, this is my first time seeing a Chinese boxer fighting so I'm a bit surprised. Other than that though, my money's on Wilder on this one.

It is known that Wilder loves to trash talk, and maybe it's one way to motivate himself here because this is very important for him. He need this big win in order to be in the contention maybe against Joshua or Usyk in the future. He used to be a champion here until he face Fury and we all know that he didn't win that fight.

As for the Chinese fighter, he is good, big and has power and even his jab is enough to bring down a HW. I think you might have mistaken as there are only few Mexicans in this division and it was purely dominated by Americans or UK boxers. And so Zhang is an exception as this is the could be the first time we witnessed a Chinese going up in the HW weight class.
139  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mtgox coin is moving from cold storage on: May 28, 2024, 10:46:15 PM
According to @Wublockchain, Mtgox moved $1.14 billion in bitcoins to a new address. Their source is from Arkham explorer but I cannot access this. However, this is the transaction id.

05fb921664c07480f2eae981a96c91bb4cda0a6e9b5d8c10b0fe1e93f8d84f3a

It appears that the trustee is preparing to distribute these coins to the creditors and make them ready for dumping?

Source https://twitter.com/wublockchain/status/1795276021396279693?s=61&t=fx2RmsbaS0qNJTJTdpNu2w

It also appears that there are more transactions received by this new wallet, $5 billion of bitcoins in total!

https://platform.arkhamintelligence.com/explorer/address/1JbezDVd9VsK9o1Ga9UqLydeuEvhKLAPs6

And so we should be happy for the creditors if they are going to get their BTC back after a long time. We all know that this is like a ghost in the closet that we need to get out and finally rest. It's been a long battle for this people and finally they are getting to be paid.

It's just a small correction that we are seeing in the price if someone wanted to speculate, there are no huge dump so far. But regardless if there is, we could understand the frustrations of this creditors to finally sell and take the money. Or who knows, maybe they will continue to hold because we are in a bull run already.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: May 28, 2024, 10:07:06 PM
I’m not seeing calls to stop this fight from going on and Mike Tyson himself says he’s 100% so it is what it is. He still seems to think he’s going to win, so I hope this was just some strange thing and he really is all good to fight in a couple months. The last thing I want to see is Mike lying on the canvas in pain because of a stomach issue.

As per latest info, Mike looks ok now, maybe he didn't end for some extended period of time that's why he experience a ulcer flare up although it could be painful at times. And I don't see it a like that will be a big threat on his life, so yeah the fight is still a green light, everything could have been settled already by the team behind this fight and preparation in full swing.

His doctor will just have to make sure that he will be 100% in this find. However, he is still the underdog in this fight as most likely his age could be the big factor why the odd makers is putting the young Jake Paul by a slight favorite.
