1041  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: New Mystic Stealer targets 40 web browsers and crypto wallets on: June 22, 2023, 10:50:57 AM
Thanks for the heads up! The online space is now becoming a more dangerous water to tread. Utmost vigilance is needed more than ever. It's clear malwares are fast developing. It's worrisome reading this new kid on the block especially knowing that the development of this one has a "focus on anti-analysis and defense evasion." I'm afraid this might not easily be detected by weaker anti-virus.

Every click matters now more than ever. A single error could cost us our entire wallet.

I agree, and every year the attack is getting bolder from this cyber criminals and it's really hard to detect this malware. That's why we really need to be vigilant in this times. I mean we don't want to lose our money just like that because we have work hard for that.

Majority of us are doing DCA months after months so going to be very difficult to see that one day everything is gone because those hackers was able to install their malware on our machines. So the burden is upon us to be very careful of links or any source of malware, (like downloading from unknown and not secure sites).
1042  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin vs traditional markets year on year comparison on: June 22, 2023, 09:51:20 AM
Do you think Bitcoin will continue to outperform these indexes by the end of the year, or will traditional stocks or fiat currency outperform in Q3 & Q4?

I will be biased as I voted for Bitcoin. Nevertheless we have seen how it's price fluctuation is. In the beginning of this year the price goes up to 40%++ if I'm not mistaken and it could indicate that more is coming and that's what we get in the first 6 months.

So I wouldn't be surprised that money from investors is going to pour in the next 6 months in preparation of the block halving and the eventual bull run that everyone is expecting. So wise investors knows where the money is, and for sure they have been accumulating already and this pattern will continue and so Bitcoin market will outperform this traditional market not just this year, but perhaps in the next 2 years.
1043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 22, 2023, 09:36:19 AM

You mean Teofimo Lopez?

Well, yes, there is a good chance that it was planned to add some hype between them and to even market the fight to have a lot of attention from the public. I mean, that is surely not new because we have already saw plethora of boxers and camps who have done the same thing, so it's not really that shocking anymore. But let's see because I have a feeling that Teo might have crossed the line when he tried to burn Josh Taylor thru some words, it might be interesting though because Taylor have already said some few words too after that.

If in fact things are like that, personally these kinds of rumors are sometimes very true, I remember the time I put an article where I said that Spence was finally going to accept the fight against Crawford, and most people thought it was fake , and even at one point I believed it, the only thing I don't like to publish things that are strange or much less fake , because they are from good sources, they are sources that are found in boxing information, in forums, in everything It has to do with sport , that's why I think that this is not bad and it is very Probable that it will Happen.

It's better to post it though and claim that it is a rumor, and it's very different from fake news in my opinion. And we all know that those fights are really going to happen in the future because of the money involved in boxing as this is a business now. So it might not be the exact date of the rumor, but still if there is smoke then obviously there is fire.

For the case of Casimero in which we have been discussing, the burden is on his side. If Inoue wins then most likely it will be Tapales for unification. And so with that, Casimero needs to make a move by fighting rank boxers. That's the only way that Inoue will be interested on him, if he still can proved himself at 122 lbs.
1044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Super Middleweight (September 16) on: June 22, 2023, 07:57:25 AM
The case of Jermall Charlo is really intriguing to say the least, he hasn't fought since 2021, and yet WBC hasn't stripped him of their championship. And there is a rumor floating around that says Charlo has been in some mental problems, it could be personal, that's why he hasn't fought for a long time.

And suddenly we heard that he is going back in fighting and then have Canelo as his comeback fight?

So very interesting pick of opponent from the Canelo side, for sure they know all the back story and it's obvious they are cherry picking Charlo for Canelo here.
1045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Joshua Franco vs Kazuto Ioka WBA World Superfly (June 24) on: June 22, 2023, 07:24:12 AM
Since the fight will be held in Japan, I will be rooting for the Japanese fighter to win. Here are my reasons:

There may be a chance that the judges could be biased towards their fellow countryman.
Joshua Franco is not known for his knockout power, having only recorded 8 knockouts in his 18 wins.

Despite the advantages I mentioned above, the odds for Kazuto Ioka are quite attractive.

After we witnessed how it turned out for Casimero when he fought that Japanese guy in their country, this will likely be the same scenario as that because they are not afraid anymore to give an advantage to their fellow countrymen as long as they have the privilege to do so. Franco needs to work hard in his training because even a clear knockout will result in disqualification if he hits his opponent close to the not permissible part. He needs to put pressure and give his best in throwing multiple punches since his knockout percentage is not well; he will probably win by unanimous decision if he shows them domination throughout the rounds.

I'm not really sure who you describing here, Casimero, if you are referring to Akaho, he is a Japanese, but the fight happens in South Korea though.

I have given Franco the first fight, yes, it's very close but I guess the sheer volume alone could have tip the scale for him. But nevertheless, the Japanese judges are not going to award him the win as Ioka is one of their respected champion. Unless Franco is the clear winner or wins by knockout, then he could have the belt. But Ioka is very tough and that's why he is willing for a rematch here.
1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High gas fee for sending token is still a problem on: June 18, 2023, 05:24:36 PM
Network congestion is now quite normal in Ethereum so many users are interacting with it so it is inevitable for Ethereum gas fee to increase.

It somewhat cleared for now, maybe everyone wanted to have a very cheap transaction fee, just like what we have seeing before. But I guess we won't have that experience as the fee might be ok for now, but there could be factors that might affect the fees again. So we can't be sure of the fees in the future. Specially when we are in a bull run, I'm seeing network congestion again, IMHO.

In my opinion, the issue of high gas fees for transactions has been a problem for a long time, but I personally prefer using the Tron(trx), BSC or Polygon network instead of the ETH network. , because it is much cheaper

Tron(TRX) is good, but still though, I don't know if it is just me, but I also find it quite expensive. But the good thing is that we have a lot of options for now like what we have mentioned. It's up to us what we wanted to use to be able to get around with this high tx fees.
1047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 18, 2023, 12:25:43 PM
The closest that we can see the odds in my opinion is Tapales, another good Filipino boxer. So the plan is as we have heard is that the winner of this fight, vs Marlon Tapales next for unification.

So if that happens then we can compare at least what will be the odds for Casimero. As if we are just changing the name of Tapales here. So before we talk about Casimero vs Inoue or Fulton, we will see first Tapales vs Inoue or Fulton and I think it will be a great fight although going to be very hard for the Filipino as he needed all the tools to beat either boxer.

You are right there mate, WBA has given the clearance to Tapales to fight whoever wins on the Inoue vs Fulton fight, they have not ordered Tapales to defend his belt via mandatory defense so this action is good for the Filipino pug.

But for me, Casimero has the higher chance of defeating either Inoue or Fulton but he has to do his thing first (win every fight) before calling out whoever will be the unified champion in this division.

For his part, Tapales is already a big winner by just fighting for the unified belt as i think this could be the biggest purse that he will receive in his boxing career, that's for sure.

Yes, I also believed that Tapales really did a good job in his career, as opposed to Casimero who seems to have to reset everything right now at 122 lbs. So it's going to be very difficult for Marlon to overcome who ever he fights next for the unification fight.

But who knows, he had a good year already,  and upsets can happen anytime. And even if he loses that belt of his, he will still be in the rankings and maybe will be given another chance to fight for the belt or face tough opponents. So definitely there will be exposure for him.

Just watching Inoue vs Payano riht now, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxRLwFkrWgQ. That straight right hand though, it's crushing.

Before Casimero's career took a downturn, he was already nearing his peak, and his success was more impressive than Tapales'. He had notable victories that contributed to his ongoing popularity, even though he is no longer a champion. Therefore, I believe we should trust him. As long as he maintains his patience and remains focused on winning his upcoming fights, there's a good chance he will have another opportunity to fight for a championship in the future.

And I think Casimero has learned his lessons from that huge mistake, and if I'm not mistaken, he has a whole different team now, taking care of him (he has a Japanese manager), and most importantly the people behind him, trainers, nutritionist and others. And we have seen that he has won 2 fights already, although the first win was questionable or at least very controversial.

But we should wait though, we can't compare his path with his fellow Filipino Tapales. Marlon is enjoying more successes now as he is a 2 belt champion. Nevertheless, we know that Casimero is still very much on the hunt for a belt in the super bantam.
1048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: June 18, 2023, 12:09:25 PM

Nah! I don't think that Lopez is really serious about that statement because he just became a star in super-light and achieve a difficult feat that not everybody can achieve. And now he's retiring? I don't really think so. I view it as a tactic so that he can have what he wanted but I doubt as well that he can get what he want as he's still starting to build his career from scratch. Too early for him to demand though.

I read in one caption on social media that he wants more if he wants to make a comeback maybe a bait for promoters to give what he wants because he totally dominated Taylor and won the undisputed title, but it's early to ask for that he is not yet fully established his name as a pound for pound fighter, there are other boxers who still has a claim for that title.

That's what him and his father wanted, and I do agree that it might be a bait for promoters after his contract with Top Rank. But if they are asking for too much money then I doubt that promoters are going to bite on it. He even doesn't crack the pound for pound list. Although he is a great boxer, but still his level might not be that elite for now.

We'll know in the coming months if he is that serious or the boxing organizations will have to order championship fights on all their top-ranking contenders, and Taylor will have a chance at that.

We will see, now that Regis Prograis has won and defended his belt and calling for him. Maybe in the next coming months he might come out of his retirement and have a unification fight with Prograis.
1049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 18, 2023, 10:35:59 AM
As expected, Prograis won the fight against the late replacement Danielito Zorrilla, retain his WBC 140 lbs belt. However, it was just a split decision as one judge Craig Metcalfe give it to Zorrilla 114-113, Robert Tapper (118-109) and Josef Mason (117-110).

Although you can hear some boos from the fans though. I didn't watch the full fight as it didn't really interest me, just watching from time to time to see if Zorilla can pull an upset but nah, Prograis just having his time at his home town for this fight.

Just surprised that this ends in a split decision as Bookies predicted that it would be a knockout win by Prograis.

Maybe it didn't happen because Zorrilla is only a replacement opponent for him. Usually it really break the training strategy or the plans of this fighter. Good thing is that there is no upset. Unlike Manny's last fight, it should be against Spence, but the late replacement boxer in Ugas point one master class against the legend and beat him.

Before the fight, i browsed the odds and it's not really attractive to bet for Prograis either by ML or knockout but the "win via decision" is @4.xx, if I'm not mistaken, which is very juicy but I didn't bother to bet as I thought that this would not reach round 12 lol.

Lucky for those who bet on Prograis to win by decision here. Although again, there is one judges who might be biased as he scored the fight to Zorilla by just a point, LOL. But the 2 are synchronised so no doubt that Prograis won this fight hands down.
1050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We the Bitcoin Enthusiasts, How can we Safequard our Holdings in Turbulent Times on: June 18, 2023, 10:21:06 AM
If you want to safeguard your coins, leaving your coins on Binance or any centralized exchange is a worst decision. You can't speculate or predict when the hacker successfully hack Binance, when CZ turn become a criminal and run with all investors money etc, after all you can't verify it.

Make sure you learn about non custodial wallet, hardware wallet/cold storage and open/closed source.

Exactly, there's nothing wrong with leaving a few hundred in an exchange, that is if you are a active trader. But if you uses exchanges as your wallet then that's where the problem lies because that is a bad practice to begin with.

We have a lot of options, we have even Electrum as a good choice for the majority of us. And as long as we know how to protect itself or practice safety hygiene then then we can safeguard it and no one can steal our bitcoin from us.
1051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Categories of Unrealistic Sports Betting Expectations on: June 17, 2023, 08:54:35 PM
We encounter different categories of sports bettors every day, both online and offline. However, some of them express unrealistic expectations regarding their potential winnings.

The first category is composed of sports bettors with a $1000 bankroll who hope to make $100,000 by the end of the year. In what universe do they think this is possible? Such expectations are unrealistic and only occur in the lottery, not in sports betting. Even in sports betting, it would be a chance occurrence, happening only once in every 100 bets. A more realistic expectation would be to aim for increasing their bankroll.

Yes, but there are gamblers who aim for big win, and it's possible in sports betting like if they go on a big parlay and who knows, they could have made that money from small bankroll.

The second category consists of individuals seeking guaranteed wins and fixed bets or matches. These individuals are frequently seen on platforms such as Twitter, Telegram, Discord, and others where sports betting is discussed. They are often the first to express their desire for guaranteed games and fixed matches/bets, believing they will surely win. Unfortunately, these individuals are easily scammed due to scammers taking advantage of their gullibility.

What other categories of unrealistic sports betting expectations have you encountered?

This is where the lines should be separated, I mean we've heard fixed matches, but unless you are really into that team then it's hard to bet on this kind of games. And that's why it is called inside information, because only a few individuals could have known that they are going to fixed the match, hence, they are the only once going to benefit from it. Unless someone blow it off and tell others about it.

I think unrealistic sports betting expectations is subjective if we talk about gambling though.
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shouts - The best possible Twitter alternative? on: June 17, 2023, 08:32:29 PM
Have you heard of Shouts - Decentralized social network?

Recently appeared, looking way more powerfull than Mastadon, Bluesky or any other.

Check it out and tell me what you think: https://shouts.social

Haven't heard of it, not downplaying though, but it's going to be a lot of work on your end if you wanted to be the next Twitter. And we have seen a lot of social media's way back in 2017-2018 era wherein they also says that they are the "next this and that". But after the hype of 2017, everything just died down and most of them are gone now or have reinvented themselves.

So again, just keep the fire burning in you if you really wanted to compete on this very tough niche.

Competitions everywhere so your marketing is a big part of it.
1053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: June 17, 2023, 08:09:50 PM
I believe Teofimo easily earned a minimum of $2 million in that fight which might reach $3 million if the numbers did well.
So from $3 million to $100 million, that's a big jump. He must be out of his mind as the numbers he is expecting seem unrealistic. He will have a big fight soon, but it will not easily reach that number since he has to continue building his legacy. Maybe if he beats the top 10 boxers in the world that are on the division that he can fight and dominates them, then going to stardom would be easier for him, and that money he is expecting would be possible.

That numbers might be the just the guarantee price, or what he will get on the money in the table, the fight split. And then we still have the PPV numbers coming in and for sure they will also split that up.

But it seems that he is not contented with that kind of money, and he wanted more from contract on his promoters or network affiliations. I don't see him getting any bigger than that though, unless he is on the 147 lbs, the money weight class. But let's see if he will continue to go on his retirement or make a comeback as he is just bluffing to a new and bigger money.
1054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 17, 2023, 07:54:48 PM
But I still doubt it. I believe that odds change automatically. It can't happen that both suddenly become underdogs in the odds. They will go bankrupt if they provide such odds.
Don't focus too much on an obvious mistake; we all know the odds are not like that, as it would not work in favor of the casino. No casino would go bankrupt, so they'll provide odds that benefit them. As for the current odds, they haven't changed yet; Crawford is still the favorite to win. I'm also waiting for alternative odds – you know, odds with a big multiplier – and I'll be expecting some crazy things to happen, like an early KO.

The fight is still on July 29, the odds can definitely change, and 1.50 is possible when bettors see some gym exercises, press con, and the face-off. Watching a lot of boxing celebrities picking whom are they rooting for and I think it's convincing enough when they say Crawford will succeed over Spence.

The majority of their fights ended in less than 5 rounds, I would also expect them to end quickly. They are both taking the risk here and are glad to see they didn't wait until 45 years old to do the exhibition.

I very much disagree. What might occur is Spence odds might become close to 2.00. I also do not see a lot of boxing celebrities easily say that they choose Crawford over Spence. It is always with a warning that this is going to be a close fight.

Unless those boxing celebrities really supports either side, so they might say that this is going to be a very close and exciting fight but X fighter is going to win. But for casual boxing fans, I do agree that we can view it as equal chance, 50:50.

Also, you expect it to end quickly? Hehehe I shake my head on that comment. Both of these boxers are very tough. Crawford was never knocked down in his whole career and Spence was only knocked down once after so many rounds in the ring. This might end with a decision. Over 10.5 rounds is only 1.40.

It's hard to see a knockout win at the first half of the fight. It could be another chess game and both are waiting for each other to make a mistake before going for that opening. And probably that is the reason why the Over rounds is 10.5 obviously. There will be no knockout but the fight is going to end up in the judges hand and so I expect some controversial scoring or even the result of the fight.
1055  Economy / Speculation / Re: You wanted decoupling, you got it. on: June 16, 2023, 08:54:22 PM
Or maybe this is just instance that we have seen the decoupling, but yet the data is still fairly young to say that yeah, finally here is it. I think the manipulation happened with the price suddenly went above $27,000 after the Binance news.

But after that we have seen a lot of profit talking, following the spike, the prices suddenly went down below $25,000 at some point.

Now we are back above the support level and I think should be the right price, the effect on the SEC vs Binance drama.
1056  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance leaving Dutch Market on: June 16, 2023, 04:12:09 PM
Am I wrong or Binance has left some market before and after fit some regulation they came back?

Well if they can comply then for sure they can make a comeback in any market. But looking at the reasoning of Binance on them leaving, it seems that they and the Dutch regulators have some issues that they can't settle.

So the best thing for them is to really left and go somewhere else. They try to stay on their grounds, unfortunately, if the government is somewhat keen on their hard line stance against Binance or crypto in general then they can't do anything about it.
1057  Economy / Gambling / Re: Profit By Betting on Losing Teams on: June 16, 2023, 03:35:17 PM
Gambling on losing teams is a legitimate strategy, but more than betting on losing teams I think it is evaluating the risk/reward scenario with a specific bet. Sure, there might be a team that is likely to win, but maybe it pays a penny to the dollar. Basically, winning that bet doesn’t make a difference. I get more entertainment out of betting longshots and making sure the reward is worth the risk.

It if is a underdog, then obviously the pay returns might be very good though, but there are games that the odds might be close though. And just like what the OP has mentioned, Miami Heat was the underdog in every playoff run and yet they won until the finals against the Nuggets.

And so with they apply this strategy, then for sure they will have a good profits betting on the Heat.

But still, it's really hard to look for a live underdog that can go like what the Miami did in their playoff runs.
1058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 16, 2023, 02:54:28 PM
There is still more than a month to go before the fight happens. The odds could still change depending on the money that would come in. But for me, Crawford's odds right now are high enough for somebody who really believes in him and his skills. I could even understand if he's given as low as 1.50.

Yes, the kick off press conference had happened already, so it's the start of full swing of this fight, trainings and other media coverage. And I also doubt that the odds are going to change, Crawford should still be the favorite till fight time. And it's up to us boxing fans as who will go with this very good fight.

I highly doubt the odds will change to as high as 1.50 in favor of Crawford. Those odds are only possible if this fight happened some years ago when Crawford looked invincible. Now, Crawford is already turning 36 in the next few months. Physically he is not in his prime anymore. His speed and reflexes are not the same as before.

Spence will enter the ring as the heavier guy and he will try to make it into a physical fight where he will come out stronger. If Crawford will come out the same during the Avanesyan fight then he is in serious danger. Spence will be stronger and has heavier hands than Avanesyan. Crawford needs to fight smart and be ready to move around the ring for the whole 12 rounds.

I would love to see Crawford knocking out Spence. This event is handled by PBC and Showtime and their fighter Spence might come out the winner during close rounds. So Crawford needs to win rounds clearly and land those power shots with bad intentions.

Yeah, I also not seeing the odds really swinging in favor of Crawford, it will remain the same throughout the betting window. If there will be some whales that will put millions on Crawford, for sure there will also be some going into Spence as he is a the underdog.

Not sure how heavy is Spence against Ugas but he looks huge at the fight. Although Crawford might be the smaller between the two, but his looks and height are deceiving as he has power in either hands. So yeah, if a knockout will present itself and if there is a scenario that he caught Spence during their exchanges then maybe there will be a chance that we will see Spence going to the canvass for the first time.
1059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 16, 2023, 02:38:32 PM

Inoue's footwork and hand speed will be too quick and fast but maybe a single power shot from Casimero will change the fight.

That's what I thought too. As we all are hyped up between the Casimero and Inoue match up, but I just can't deny that Inoue had the advantage in terms of overall skills. I mean Inoue is fast, agile, and has a strong power. inoue is also an unpredictable fighter as he can throw a combination of punches that you'll never know whether he aims for the body or the head. This is gonna be a huge challenge for Casimero in the future, he's defensive skills will put into test against Inoue's relentless offensive fire power. I guess consulting with Donaire will be a huge help for Casimero. Donaire figured out how to take advantage of the opening when Inoue is throwing punches, however It was never enough because Inoue was too fast and also has a solid chin. If Casimero can pull up a perfect counter, he'd for sure going to put Inoue into sleep, but then again that's going to be a very hard thing to achieve.

Right, his hand speed and power very deadly combination, Mike Tyson even said that Inoue is better than Pacquiao (although it's debatable). Donaire has the perfect strategy when they had the rematch, but as we have seen, it seems the Inoue knows what Donaire wanted to do or what his plan his and adjusted on the fly and that power though, very hard to recover from that because once your leg is gone it will be over. So let's just wait for Casimero to make a run or at least be a rank boxer and maybe he can see a fight with Inoue in the future.
1060  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for June on: June 15, 2023, 09:42:52 PM

June isn't obeying anyone's predictions. I see no moon in June, I see no side movement in June. All I see I digging and digging down the well. June want to reach 20k and it is so determined. What will stop it from happening. Indeed, cryptocurrency is unpredictable.
With the beautiful performance of last two months,  I really thought bitcoin will do more and hit 30k this month. Bit it seems the dream is dashed.

For almost 2 weeks Bitcoin is still in range $25k to $28k,
and at the end of this week bitcoin has not made any big movements it can be sure that it is sideways this month,
indeed the market looks boring and volatile for altcoins,
look at bitcoin only dropping -2% to -5% and altcoin prices are down up to -10% to -25%.

Not just for 2 weeks, we have been in this sideways training for months now if I'm not mistaken. At the start of May, the market we've experience price drop and then this pattern emerges. And with the negative news about SEC vs Binance, it continue to go down hard. In the last 24 hours, we have seen the price really dumping and at highs of $24,000. The good thing is that we have a good bounce back today, not sure why the reason of the sudden plunge in a day, like -2% very quick. But the price has recovered from where it was, currently at $25,600+ and we might go back to $26,000. And another positive news is that we were able to hold the support like of $25,000. Because if not, then obviously we might go down to $23,000.
