121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] savedroid ICO - CRYPTOCURRENCIES FOR EVERYONE | MAIN SALE 9 FEB 2018 on: August 14, 2018, 08:39:41 PM

First of all, this is the English thread. Switch to the German Savedroid thread please => https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2611692.0

To respond to your argument: Normally no normal investor sells at this time. That's right. But since the ICO, the situation at Savedroid has deteriorated severely. Not only the catastrophic action with the fake exit-scam, but also the amateurish and non-transparent behavior of all participants regarding exchanges. In addition, the team and the leadership does not look good. To value such a company with 40 million is insane. Many investors have seen that and try to save their money. In my opinion, anyone who keeps the tokens for long will only lose money. 10 and 100 times will remain a dream.

There was a big drop in our teams processing power on WCG recently. Does anyone know the reason because amount of members did not drop as well as the chrunching members?

I think it is good to promote achievements of the team on Twitter tagging @WCGrid. Sometimes WCG retweets it like this one https://twitter.com/WCGrid/status/1009855519375454210
It could bring more attention to Byteball.
123  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How can I restore my ETH from a broken ledger nano s without the device? on: August 14, 2018, 06:31:04 PM
Thanks, I finally chose MyEthereWallet. Generally, it is my favorite online wallet for Ethereum. I did not know that the seeds from Ledger nano work with MEW because I was not aware that mnemonic phrase means the 12 or 24 words seed.
124  Bitcoin / Press / [2018-08-14] Despite its 70% Drop, Bitcoin Surpassed Gold in Settlement Volume on: August 14, 2018, 06:20:35 PM

German Supercup is played today. Frankfurt vs Bayern. The odds speak for Bayern. I took a closer look at all combinations. I go for handicap 2:0 @1.8. I think that could pay off because I do not expect a clear victory of Bayern. Maybe 0:1 or 1:2.
128  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / How can I restore my ETH from a broken ledger nano s without the device? on: August 12, 2018, 09:13:16 AM
My Ledger nano S seems to be broken. I have my 24 words seed.
How I can I restore my ETH (several ETH addresses are derived from seed) using a ETH software wallet? Which software wallet does support the seed?
129  Bitcoin / Press / [2018-08-12] Crypto Investors Dream of Trillion-Dollar Market Cap Amidst Bitcoin on: August 12, 2018, 09:04:03 AM
For many investors, the ETF approval is a major hurdle to cross on the way to a trillion-dollar cap. Last week, Bitcoinist reported that SEC commissioner Hester Pierce stated that there is “[…] no reason for us to not allow this product to go ahead.”

130  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Problems with Ledger Live and Ubuntu on: August 11, 2018, 07:04:02 PM
Did you download and use the *.AppImage file?
You need to open it with root rights for the wallet to be able to sync the nano s for the first time.

Code:
sudo ./NameOfFile.AppImage

Thank you very much!
It fixed the problem. I did know that I need to run it with root rights but I thought - since I use root standardly - its enough to run appimage with simple click. Running it with sudo via console works fine Smiley
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: August 11, 2018, 12:08:45 PM
IOTA price has declined sharply. Without question. The market environment is not good. Another reason is that IOTA is still not as flexible as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero or Dash because of the missing wallets. This will change with Trinity wallet release which opens IOTA for the mass.

Nevertheless, IOTA has a strong foundation and it will pay off sooner or later. Why, because technology like IOTA offers is needed for the world in the future.

132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] savedroid ICO - CRYPTOCURRENCIES FOR EVERYONE | MAIN SALE 9 FEB 2018 on: August 11, 2018, 12:01:02 PM
The price are really low i think only few will sell their coin but i do my self if the price goes higher i will sell all my svd because i dont trust svd for a long term hold and their project is not quite good also the team. I dont know what will happen to this token hopefully it would be up and sell all of this coin that ive invested.

90% people will sell their coin, everybody already know that yassin is a son of a bitch. He is a greedy person, liar, motherfucker.

The thing is, only a little part of the coins were sold yesterday in the small timeframe the ERC20 tokens of Savedroid were unlocked. And the price dumped by 85%. Then they locked tokens again, likely to stabilze the price and to prevent a disaster. Many who wanted to sell were not able to sell yesterday.

Also, 92% of all coins are locked anyway (the big hodlers). Does anyone believe those hodlers and big investors will hold their coins when they are getting unlocked after the price is only 10-15% of the ICO price?

Savedroid will end up as a low volume pump and dump coin after the selling wave is over.
133  Bitcoin / Press / [2018-08-11] Bitcoin Eclipses 50% Crypto Market Dominance First Time Since Dec on: August 11, 2018, 11:49:56 AM
Bitcoin has long been at the forefront of the crypto industry; and it seems with the market’s most recent move downwards, Bitcoin’s dominance over the rest of the market may continue, or at least for a little while longer.

Is there finally a decision whether a KYC is necessary for the bounty tokens? The information after the token is unfortunately very sparse. If no KYC is required, when is the distribution of tokens planned? Thanks in advance for the answers!
135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 10, 2018, 03:20:05 PM
Not many predictions and opinions regarding football in Germany. The condition of the Bundesliga is almost the same as that of Serie A where the existence of the two leagues in Europe is losing existence with two other leagues namely the Premier League and La Liga.

There won't be many surprises for the German league, Bayern Munich will still dominate.

I'm not so negative about the Bundesliga as you. Bayern has dominated the league the last few years. But this year, teams like Dortmund or Schalke could pass by. How so? Several reasons: Bayern has a young little experienced coach. Many leaving players like Vidal and maybe Boateng. But no good players joined the team. Furthers, the mood in the club is not very good. Schalke have a good team and Dortmund has strengthened very well on different positions. It could be more exciting this year than many think.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 10, 2018, 03:10:35 PM
United have a few players being rested from the World Cup, but I still can't see them finding Leicester a real challenge, especially without Mahrez and maybe Vardy. 2-0 or maybe 2-1 I reckon.

Usually yes, but you never know how well prepared the teams are for the new season. Who would have thought before the season 2016 that Leichester will be the champion in the end. Since the odds are clear for ManU, I would put a small amount on Leichester (@ 6.4). Such a risky bet at this time of the season can pay off.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: August 10, 2018, 02:41:19 PM
Komodo. 1 million transactions per second. Daniel Pigeon, interview.

Every ten minutes our notary nodes save a "snap" of our blockchain into Bitcoin's ledger, this mirrors our data in Bitcoin's blockchain. This means that if someone would like to hack us, they would also have to hack Bitcoin's blockchain, since it's the biggest at the moment, that's impossible...

One question about writing a snapshot to the Bitcoin Blockchain. I try to understand the principle. The more transactions Komodo has, the more information must be written to the Bitcoin Blockchain, right? The more information the more expensive is the writing into BTC ledger. Who pays this? If this is paid with the Komodo fees, then, Komodo fees must first be exchanged for Bitcoin, right? How does it happen and how does the process work?
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread - Free Airdrop on: August 10, 2018, 02:20:24 PM
@everyone
CMC stats updated, we now have marketcap showing
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/semux/
still low volume though
It needs to get listed on an exchange where there is higher liquidity. Then volume will go up.

I would wait for listing the coin on major exchanges until the Semux virtual machine (planned for Q4 2018) and decentralized apps (planned for Q2 2019) are released. Today there are so many projects available that provide such basic functionality as Semux does at the moment, so investors would not be much interested to invest. Only bot trading will increase what is not good for projects like Semux in my opinion. With features like VM and DApps interest of investors will be much higher.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: August 10, 2018, 02:12:43 PM
Interesting article on Hacked.com about "Why Investors Should Pay Attention to Waves" published yesterday.
https://hacked.com/why-investors-should-pay-attention-to-waves/

Notice: You can only read one article for free on Hacked.com. If paywall appears delete all browser cookies or change browser.

Thanks, I took a look. But it is too short article and just giving some basic information.

As most of the coin projects covered by hacked.com. The thing is that the website has good audience in the field of computer science and tech in common. Most of the readers are likely familiar with Bitcoin and Ethereum but most are not with alternatives like Waves. So it gives Waves a better awareness.
140  Bitcoin / Press / [2018-08-10] Bitcoin Core Developer Reveals ‘Critical’ Bug in Bitcoin Cash on: August 10, 2018, 01:19:12 PM
In a blog post August 10th, Corey Fields relates how in April 2018 he anonymously reported the consensus bug, known as SIGHASH_BUG.
A so-called ‘chain-splitting’ bug, the vulnerability “would have allowed a specially crafted transaction to split the Bitcoin Cash blockchain into two incompatible chains,” Fields reveals.
