121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 18, 2019, 05:49:36 PM
Those two defenders are good. So if they ever face GSW in the finals, I'm sure Giannis will have a tough time as compare to the Toronto series. Green and Iguodala are very athletic and can match very well against Giannis either if he is facing or doing isolation in the post.

The Greek Freak is really unstoppable against Toronto. But let us see if Kawhi Leonard can still pull some upsets or at least the team take some collaborative effort to put a brake on Giannis. Too many easy shots, dunks and three's for him.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was unbelievable in his game against the Toronto Raptors. And I don't agree when you say that the Toronto defense was weak. You may not agree with me, but in my opinion the Toronto point guards saved a lot of points for their team. It was the combination of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Ersan Ilyasova which did the trick.

Anyway.. Sunday's game should be interesting.... can they make it 3-0?
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO still have huge chance of surviving on: May 18, 2019, 05:37:39 PM
I believe that in the ICO there is no chance of survival.  Because in order to survive, investments are needed, and in fact they do not and will not exist because they do not trust him.  That's it, just a vicious circle.

Well... I agree. Once the reputation is destroyed, it is very difficult to get it repaired. We had far too many scam ICOs during the past one and half years. I am not denying the fact that there were quite a few successful ones as well, but when people lose big amounts, the news spread like wildfire. And now the investors have vanished almost completely. Even good projects are struggling to attract investment.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Current bounty campaigns that can make you rich? on: May 18, 2019, 05:34:54 PM
The success rate of the bounty campaigns have reduced over the course of time, but if you have some free time then even now it is not a bad idea to take part in a few bounties. Most of the signature bounties ask for no more than 10 or 15 posts per week, which in my opinion should not take more than 2 hours to complete. So my advice is to go for it, without expecting any rewards.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WPP Energy tokens? on: May 18, 2019, 05:22:07 PM
Not a big fan of this token, as it went down even during the bull run. I read the whitepaper for this project and found it interesting. But the fact that the token is going down in value may mean the promoters not honoring the commitments or some other negative factor. And one thing I have noticed is the sudden spurt in trade volumes between 10th May and 15th May. It is possible that some manipulation is going on.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins useless? on: May 18, 2019, 05:15:20 PM
The vast majority of the alts are useless and there is no doubt regarding it. But at the same time, there are a lot of alts which are useful. For example, Monero is an altcoin which gives the user complete anonymity. Cardano is an altcoin which is technologically more advanced than Bitcoin. There are so many examples. So can't say that all of them are not useful for us.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hope for hodlers on: May 18, 2019, 04:35:21 PM
holders are different. You can keep assets from top 50 and wait until their price rises, or keep many many tokens from the list of 500+ places, and suffer (for example, partially me)

Basically, you are not suffering, rather you are building your future with ease, but can't see it now. Before the advent of the bull run in 2017, i had some tokens that where dead according to some Bitcoiners, but after the start of the bull run within some few months, i checked my wallet to discovered that, i was a millionaire with these dead tokens. Never you conclude on any project now, because they may shock you later, keep holding.

And what happened after the 2017 bull run? I am sure that the tokens you are talking about became worthless. I made the same mistake with some of the tokens in 2017 (especially the Traxia tokens, which I received from a bounty campaign). I held them hoping for more and in the end the prices crashed by around 98%. Even now I have those tokens in my wallet.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Investors need to face reality on: May 18, 2019, 04:32:00 PM
The OP is absolutely right. I am someone who held onto my coins when the prices were really high, due to my greed. And in the end, when I faced with an acute shortage of funds, I had to sell my coins at very low prices. This happened not once, but twice. So now I have learnt my lesson and have set up different targets at which I will sell some of my coins.
128  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BTC worth $1M confiscated in Canada ruling on: May 18, 2019, 03:55:53 PM
This is why i favor the regulation to ensure that Bitcoin currency will not be use in illegal activities. Can you imagine of what will be the future damage that will happen if those drugs and guns will bypass the national security and will successfully to enter Canada? Expect that it will create lot of trouble for the Canadian people specially to the youth. So hopefully people will continue to support the regulation specially in other countries that regulation is still undecided.

Are you joking? It is the responsibility of the law enforcement to make sure that guns and narcotics doesn't enter Canada. And the crypto-community has nothing to do with it. If the cops admit that they are incapable of doing that, then they should entrust that responsibility to some third party. Bitcoin community is already doing its best to prevent the misuse of the coins for criminal activity.
129  Economy / Speculation / Re: what will happen if BTC hit 1.000.000$ on: May 18, 2019, 03:52:30 PM
With the current year to year growth of BTC we can fairly say that 1M USD/BTC can be achieve in the next 20 years or more, Its probably a different world by that time when everything is digital and paper money don't exist anymore.

In order to achieve that level in 2040 or later, we need to make sure that Bitcoin survives for that long. And I am not very sure about that. Many of the technological innovations have short life-span, and usually amounts to 10 years or less. But Bitcoin has survived against all odds since 2009, so I am quite optimistic about its chances.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you protect your digital coins? on: May 18, 2019, 03:50:16 PM
cryptocurrency market started to grow day after day, and everyone now started to own coins, so the question now which come to all the coin's holders , how to protect your digital coin from losing, stealing, hacking, etc ?

There are a few basic precautions, that you need to take. I would list them down, in the order of importance:

1. Never store any of your coins in the exchanges. There are no exchanges out there which are 100% reliable, as seen from the recent scandals at Wex, Cryptopia and Binance.
2. Always take control of the private key to your coins.
3. Make sure that the computer you use is free from spyware, keyloggers and trojans
4. Activate 2FA in your wallet
5. Take special care not to click on phishing links.
131  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone tried www.bitloader.cc ??? on: May 17, 2019, 09:01:37 AM
Really sad to hear that! Sad
This scam is really tricky and planned down to the last detail.  Don’t misunderstand me, I do not want to talk about it in any positive way, but it is no shame to trap in this scam!  So it is very important to warn others about it and let the scammers money flow dry out.

Thank you so much for your kind words.

They were really innovative. To confirm what I read in the online reviews, I browsed a few questions in Quora. Even there, they have made some fake answers. It wasn't the fake reviews in crypo-sites, but the answers in Quora which fooled me.

Btw. Don’t even think about sending your documents! Your money is gone and the e-mail for correspondence is non existing.

I know that. I am not even trying to recover my money. It's gone and if I go after them, then I will lose even more money.

Sorry for your loss @Netnox

I guess what seems to be the problem is the lack of skepticism and(or) not acting on it since imo the amount itself should be enough for you to have some level of doubt and eventually review and dig more info related to the choice you're about to make.

Hanging out in boards where there's a lot of scam busting going on would help big time. It's like exposing yourself to scams but in 2nd hand lol.

I don't deny that I was careless about this. Learnt a very important lesson. Never get complacent and never ever trust anyone in the crypto-world.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally $200 billion total Marketcap is achieved. on: May 17, 2019, 08:53:21 AM
With this current conditions, new investors who's aiming to invest will have enough time to buy in and make their investment, it's an open market to both short term and long term investors, the retracement that's been anticipated usually create more interested people, while some of those day traders already cashing out and enjoying the profits, the sway will continue to bring more positive things to those believers who keep investing and trading.

That may be true, but at the same time, this crazy volatility is going to drive away a lot of the mainstream investors. I was checking the graphs from Bitstamp, and I noticed a sharp 25% drop in just 1 hour. Although the markets have recovered by quite a bit after that, this sort of volatility can harm the image of Bitcoin. Also, I think that the duration of the correction was too small to shrug off the non-serious investors. So in the future also, we can expect a lot of volatility (at least for the remainder of this year).
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum goes to the top! on: May 17, 2019, 08:45:22 AM
Ethereum is still a long way away from the ATH achieved during 2017. And currently there are several factors which are hindering its growth. The most important one is obviously the downturn in the ICO market. The second one is the robbery of Ethereum and tokens from exchanges such as Crypopia. Even prior to the hacking, there were complaints about the safety of Ethereum wallets and their susceptibility to hacks. The latest incidents will give more fuel to its competitors, such as NEO, Stratis, Lisk and Waves.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Current bounty campaigns that can make you rich? on: May 17, 2019, 08:39:40 AM
Can I get great contributions on how I can participate in a campaign that will add more value to my wallet?

Bounty campaigns can't make you rich. At least not now. Gone are the days of good earnings in bounty campaigns after large masses of people rushed to the crypto market and began to massively participate in bounty campaigns.

That's true. Earlier, most of the users considered signature campaigns which made payments in BTC as their first preference. There were campaigns such as Prime Dice, where hundreds of users could participate. But many of these signature campaigns closed down and the remaining ones limited the participation to 20 or 30 users each.

So obviously these users shifted their attention to bounty campaigns. Initially (2017 and first half of 2018) there were some good bounty signature campaigns, which used to pay as much as $1,000 to $5,000 as the reward. But as the number of users increased, scamming also increased. And as a result the reward per user went down heavily. Now you can consider yourselves lucky, if you are able to get $25 from a single campaign.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptopia dead, shitcoins gone forever? on: May 17, 2019, 08:34:53 AM
Yep,,, even with all the question and answers and the discussions, what I can say is that this is the long way to say people are not going to bet their shitcoins back. They may get 1% or something back for sure,,, but only in a long time. Imagine if Mt Gox took years to return Bitcoin, how much harder it will be to get back shitcoins? They should just write it off,,, move on, if it is a substantial amount, get into class action. Best to hope for.

Who told you that Mt Gox has returned the coins to its users? Five years have passed since the robbery, and none of the victims have got any of their coins back. Last month, there was a statement given by one of the bankruptcy trustees, saying that it is going to take another two to five years.

The funds are currently being kept by the Mt. Gox bankruptcy trust. And as per reliable sources, this amounts to some $630 million worth of fiat currency and around 150,000 BTC worth of cryptocurrency.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market getting many new people. Is it good or bad for us? on: May 17, 2019, 08:01:43 AM
From what I have seen in 2017, the new users tend to invest in worthless shitcoins. Few of them study the coin in which they want to make the investment, and make the moves just based on unconfirmed and baseless rumors. And they were the main drivers behind the astonishing rise of many altcoins in 2017. I don't know whether this will repeat in 2019 or not, but there was a sharp decline in Bitcoin dominance two days back. For now, this trend seems to have stopped, but it might resume once Bitcoin gets more mainstream media coverage.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: End Of The Road To Cryptopia? After Loosing $16M To Hackers. on: May 17, 2019, 07:29:55 AM
I guess some people think that Cryptopia hacked themselves in order to justify the proposed closure now, people lost their money without no hope of refunding anything.

I really doubt that. The stolen coins (especially ETH and the tokens) are being tracked now and the hacker won't be able to cash them out any time soon. At the same time, the investigation is ongoing and the details of every transaction ever made on Cryptopia is being analyzed. If the Cryptopia admins wanted to close down their exchange, then this was not the most intelligent option for them. The evidence also points otherwise. It looks as if the hack was done by organized criminal groups from Eastern Europe (Cryptopia is based in New Zealand).
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You Can't Be Jobless And Be Participating In Bounties on: May 17, 2019, 07:25:29 AM
Yeah, bounty hunting is a good job that we can do as part time, it helps also some of the jobless person to do some task and get rewarded but we shouldn't expect too much or dont make bounty hunting a permanent job since not all bounty projects are successful.

Rather than saying that "not all the bounty projects are successful", you should change the statement to "very few of the bounties are successful". Because in 2017, around 50% to 60% of the bounty campaigns used to be successful. Nowadays, somewhere between 80% and 90% of the bounties never pay the rewards as promised. Even among the remaining 10% to 20%, most of the time the tokens are never listed in the exchanges. If you are taking part in 10 bounty campaigns, then you can expect good rewards from 1.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did the use of online gambling increase with crypto moneys? on: May 17, 2019, 07:20:48 AM
During the old times, there was hardly any outlet to spend your cryptocurrencies. And the exchange rates were so low, that converting to fiat was also not the option. So many of the users who had cryptocurrencies in their wallets (from mining or freelancing) used to gamble them away in Satoshi dice. Also, when online casinos such as Prime Dice came up, it became possible to gamble completely anonymously (earlier with credit cards, this anonymity was not possible). This obviously caused a large increase in the number of gamblers.
This is what really happened!  That is why we are having more gambling sites base on cryptocurrencies this days.  I have been in cryptocurrencies business for something now and from my own analysis gambling industry is much favour now than any other cryptocurrencies investment and uses.

Well... there were other options, but they were neither reliable nor rewarding. During 2012/13, I had tried my luck with crypto-stocks and bonds. But in the end I lost my capital on them. Litecoinglobal (and its BTC equivalent BTCT.co) was quite popular back then. But I remember them closing down abruptly. A lot of the users lost money by investing in those stocks. Even now there are a lot of crypto stock exchanges, but the volumes are very low (when compared to 2012/13), and the user-base has also declined.
140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally $200 billion total Marketcap is achieved. on: May 17, 2019, 07:15:08 AM
today the market cap is back to 220 bil after a sudden crash
at one point in time , the price was as low as 6500 ( Bitstamp)
so there is nothing certain in this market - while the analysts and traders were mulling if its a 10.000$ or 9.000$ mark next
bitcoin got 700$ surgically removed from its 8.000$ price just 6 hours ago  Wink

I read somewhere that the lowest point reached in Bitstamp was $6,200 per coin, which represents a 25% decline from the price we had one day back. Anyway, the correction gave users who missed out earlier another chance to accumulate Bitcoin and the altcoins. I really doubt whether they will get another chance to purchase BTC at such low levels.

Now the markets are stabilizing at somewhere between $7,200 and $7,300 per coin. I was expecting 10K by the end of this month, but it looks very difficult now. Now my renewed target is 10K by the end of this year.
