ETH where already establish. But who knows, if EOS could do a great job in the future. If you a have an extra income/money, why not invest on it? Still its a gamble because we still don't know what the governments will do into our growing crypto currency world.

Anyone can buy a Full Member account or above, or just hire someone to do it for them and this is what usually happens.
Then how do we tackle this problem? We need a trusted user to create a central database of bounty managers. Then, as a community, we distrust and harass those managers that do not register in the database. The Bitcointalk forum is not the place for such databases/registries. They should be third party. I think not only the managers, but also bumpers and low rankers that spam the thread just to be notice their scam campaigns. These were already discussed already, is there any action? Either way, investors are being scammed over and over again because they are being permitted to post. We should have an application of services before posting it on the Market place section. Or let our trusted Managers monopolize the forum just to make sure that there will be no scam campaigns that will be running in the forum. |

A lazy poster like that shouldn't be getting merits anyway. I was in a good mood, so I just put him on ignore, but I usually report the begging spam. - If you can disclose the profile, they should be tagged for begging merits. - Why are you hiding the profile anyway? It's good that the merit sources are disclosed so when a merit beggar like him shows up, it will be easier for DT members to tag them. Just refer to Welsh response above. I agree with the reply to the private message. If there were no irregularity on the account, then just send a warning. It could be a little desperation or mistake as said by Welsh. |

These managers are being lazy. Not checking the credibility of the project. The only thing in their mind was to make a profit out of the project in addition to their inexperience which put risk for everyone joining the campaign.

While banks have many negatives it is incorrect to say that they do not bring some positives. By acting as an intermediary they facilitate numerous transactions that otherwise wouldn't happen and this stimulates the economy. The most obvious one is how they use savings to facilitate loans.
IMHO, banks really gives big interest specially loans but what if banks were gone, many employees will lose their jobs. Unless people would immediately shift to earn and learned faster knowing crypto currency. Its still better to educate everybody and start including this one into general info so that everybody could be aware of. |

It seems to me that access to digital assets does not need to be further regulated by law. If the owner of these assets trusts you then you know where to find the key or password to access. If you do not have such access by default it means that the owner did not trust you. Is there a problem?
That would be hard that our digital assets will be regulated by law. Digital assets should be kept by the owner confidentially and no third party should be able to read and access our accounts. It will be like banks that are centralize. Confidentiality of your account will be not a problem if you would die, just make sure you have a pencil backup of all your passwords of all your accounts specially on your exchangers and 2fa. |

I would like to mention two issues in here:
- The first; banned problem :I want to say should add the warning to the first offender + the reason for warning the wrong account that caused. Many uninfected users are offended in the forum and they are unreasonably banned. So there is an email about rules sent to new members.
- The Second, merit: Many members do not understand how to achieving merits. It is important to establish a merit scoring system because it is quite complex and difficult to understand at the moment.

It seems to be full of off topic threads about ICOs Airdrops, bounty, Twitter, and there is even one poster who has opened a pharmacy there.
All these threads are unfair to the genuine new members who arrive expecting to learn about Bitcoin and crypto-currencies.
This is annoying. This week has been like a spam fest in every area of the forum. Just take a look at meta, with all these banned spammers crying all over. The Beginners section is annoying as well. I did see the "pharmacy", and also, if you read the post, the guy even admits the text they put was a copy-paste from some other place... Too much work to mods only. I've been reporting as never in my life. Totally agree with it. Effort of reporting could be useless if everyday a new account will spam every section. People wanting to improve the forum will tirelessly report these members. Hope there will be a bigger move on this. We all know the problem comes from. Long term solutions should be implemented. |

So what everybody is mostly suggesting is that the Bounty Managers need to be the ones who change? Like instead of focusing on accepting and accepting members they should take a look at their post quality before they get accepted in the campaign? The problem here is anyone can be a bounty manager and also anyone can post a Bounty Campaign thread, aside from removing all kinds bounty campaigns the way I see it is there is no other solution rather than limiting the Bounty Campaign managers who can post a Bounty Campaign thread, in which these bounty campaign managers are the ones who can be trusted that they are not accepting spammers and shitposters.
I don't like the idea of a centralized picking of the certain people who can run the bounty campaigns but something needs to be done about it even though I disagree with a centralized list of people I think it would be better than the current situation where anyone and their mother can create a bounty. Maybe DefaultTrust can start tagging the bad bounty managers as they are promoting spam? Or warned them on making their threads spammy. There's a way on minimizing it, look at ALU's bounty campaigns. Using google form, they limit spammy thread(but still there are members that don't read rules) that most of the bounty managers are lack off. Why not then make a new additional rank for example : Bounty Manager, like the Copper Member. So only those ranked ones will be allowed to post in the bounty section.
There should be a procedure to apply for such position, based on different criteria,maybe same as the Merit sources today.
This will reduce the fake and scam projects and the spam too. Of course it makes everything more centralized.
I guess is too much time and work implementing those changes, and it will be easier just to remove the bounty section but, it's all about compromises.
IMHO, there's no need for applying. What if a scammer applies for it? It will be another additional work for the Admins just to check the application. Just leave the current system for now. |
