Since you replied to my post I will respond, but honestly the only I can say is you were/are a fool if you ever thought it would stabilize at a price equal to that of gram in such little time, stop fucking asking this stupid and ridiculous ass question.......close your wallet and forget about your CANN, come back here in a year and ask that question again.......or the whole thing will flop, only time will tell......but TIME is what it is gonna take! Let's not call each other 'fool' here. CANN is an interesting bet as the product offered for it has a market value of between $5-$15. With the current price this means it could be 1000-3000 times as valuable. This will however take time as the goods still have to be harvested and distributed. Once it is possible to meet supply, people will start buying it for sure. I can imagine Deltanine starting a brand that will spread across America with every state joining the legalization movement. This is why I believe it is an interesting investment. I have lost some money on the lowering prices, but am not selling at the moment so it does not matter. |

Interesting discussion here! I have been trying with a group of people to keep coins afloat that were dropped by their devs. Since the amount of dropped coins is so high, we decided to take over the support of one coin mainly.
It is a lot of work to keep the community active and keep innovating. People pressure you to go with the latest fad, but until now, we have been resisting that.
Looking at the things you guys mention, I think the dev, the community and the longevity are the most important. Things like services and extra features require a lot of time from the developer and usually come with an ICO or a premine. This in turn leads to people running off with the money and keeping the BTC to pay off bills. The incentives are all wrong.
We'll just keep supporting our coin and see it as a long term thing. In a year or so, we can reevaluate how successful we are.

This is a community thing, minerstorm. I think a lot of the people in the community still believe we can get there. It's not the end of the year yet. I for one believe that quarkbar will go much higher than 2500. It takes time and dedication to build a coin. There are way too many people that don't understand the process. A coin has ups and downs. Its just the way it is. A coins community changes all the time. People like to jump on fads and may leave but the true test of a coin is the dev team and the coins attributes. If the DEV team gives up then and only then will the coin die. That is the only time a coin can die. Crypto is still a brand new concept. It will grow bigger than we can only imagine. A really great opinion article was written about REDDCOIN on Reddit. I thought it would be nice to share this: Cryptocurrency and the associated blockchain technology are very new and exciting investment opportunities. Because It could potentially disrupt the whole financial system by empowering common people. But there is a small problem. Crypto is SO new, and has such a low barrier of entry, that many new investors don't know how to view their investment. Which often result in people panicking for the smallest thing. But worry no further. It's basically simple.
Investing in cryptocurrency is like investing in a start up technology company with a twist. Imagine for a moment that there's an open source startup company called LaudneyTech. It is a new company, with a great idea. LaudneyTech wants to change the way we reward people doing great things on the internet by introducing decentralized microtransactions. So LaudneyTech wants to create a product called Reddcoin. And in order to fund it LaudneyTech does an IPO (Initial Public Offering) with a twist. The stock of this company, IS the product.
Soon LaudneyTech created the fully functional, but rather basic product, and gave away part of the total stock. The product is based on a product that is already well-tested for 3 years called Bitcoin. So now the software is here, the ideas are here, and LaudneyTech is growing. Soon even more people invest in Reddcoin by using their computer's processing power. This is called mining. Now all the current stock has been "generated", and has intrinsic value because it resembles used processing power.
Now that all the stock has been generated LaudneyTech runs into a problem. In order for it's product Reddcoin to function, it needs to be secured. One of their competitors called Peercoin has already found a solution to this problem and made it open source software, so anyone can use it. Peercoin calls this technology POS and it is truly amazing. In order to secure their product, every stockholder that has their computer connected to internet helps to secure the network, and gets rewarded for it. This is called minting. But POS still has some problems. For example POS doesn't promote being an active part of the network. LaudneyTech saw this, took the opportunity and created POSV. Which is a considerable improvement. There is,however, still some work to be done, but for now it works great.
LaudneyTech now has laid a strong foundation to build on. In order to better represent their vision, it is now dubbed Reddcoin - The Social Currency.
In the following months many new services were launched revolving around Reddcoin.
A tool is released which allows you to do social marketing for free called Reddcoin Broadcast.
ReddAPI is released allowing developers to easily use Reddcoin.
The community site Reddheads get created.
A new block explorer is released, which allows you to easily check transaction history of any ReddCoin address.
Reddcoin can now be easily bought in FIAT using Paypal and exchanges like Cryptsy.

The Electrum Wallet & Social Wallet have been released!

Here we are now. 7 December 2014, not even a year after Reddcoin launched. The price for Reddcoin has fallen a bit, but it's real value has increased tremendously. The only thing stopping Reddcoin right now are some small growing pains. Mainly one big "Shark" who gains money by creating a massive buy and sell wall. But as bit by bit of the big Reddcoin puzzle come together. These growing pains will resolve themselves. Reddcoin may fall and rise, but I believe the future is bright. |

I run a foodbank. Fed 100 mouths today.
Foodbanks exist by the grace of others willing to give. There is no support from the government. Our donations mainly come from churches and the occasional filantropist or civilian with a big heart. It's an ongoing rally for supplies.
So buy rice, buy pasta, buy canned goods but don't buy anything you wouldn't eat yourself.
I love this initiative and anyone participating and truly donating food can look themselves in the mirror and be proud of who they see.
It is people like you that make a difference. Thank you for everything you do! In the past, I have had to rely on the food bank in my hometown so I know the importance that food banks like yours bring to many less fortunate. You were able to help 100 people today and tomorrow, who knows how many. Is it possible for you to provide a photo of your foodbank to show people here how important food banks are? Thank You for all you do! We are keeping track of all the places throughout the world that this topic is reaching so if you would tell us where you are from we would appreciate it very much. haha, Im sorry if the post was offensive. It really was hehe. But as I take a little deeper look on this, it looks like you guys have done a great job so far! The logo looks really awesome and the thread are pretty. And the website. The list of projects and the way you can support the project, I love the idea. Great development so far! Vouch for Dr.Bob too for being an active dev! Maybe GMC and HYPER can cooperate in the furture like meowball suggested? I wish all good for GMC seriously! Happy you're not a spammer, but looking for positive things. Cooperation is the way to get ahead in the current cryptosphere. yes indeed it is, there is a lack of cooperation in very many communities. 2 or more is always stronger than 1 ! Better togehter than alone! what we need in the cryptosphere is we should stop standing against each other and bringing each other down to the ground. Why not be the best together? I find this as a good idea really. I know Dr Bob is away for a couple of days, but will already inform him. That coin has a 2.5% premine and does not have a lot of potential for growth any more. Our coin on the other hand has just went up x10 in value and can easily grow by that amount again! Haha, I didn't think I'd see you here, Falcon! I just found out about this because I found the coin on bitcoinjs-lib. I think the Game4commit fork off peer4coin is a wonderful idea. I like the development going on here. Neat projects! I wouldn't come to conclusions, Jonesd. I think what you guys are doing with GMC is great! I think HYPER will also see awesome growth!
