1201  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: January 25, 2023, 08:09:40 PM
Having a house is like another investment, but it is heck of a worth of an investment in the end. I had rented before in the short term and it is almost like throwing away money just to survive and have a roof temporarily. I would just rent if my workplace was like really far from my home, but if transportation could handle it anyway, I would prioritize that first.
Owning a house is everyone's dream and actually no one wants to rent a house even though the offer is cheap if he already has a comfortable place to live, OP should already have a house from the accumulation of rental fees for 6 years but that doesn't mean he has wasted money on necessities a place to live but because he doesn't have enough savings to buy a house for the down payment. Before he decides to apply for a loan, he must ensure that he has a stable monthly income for living expenses and sufficient expenses to cover the loan.

Quote
Me and my partner have a plan of having house first before being together. Not sure why living with parents is looked down in other countries, while in here, it is technically fine.
Everyone has different reasons why they don't choose to live with their parents, the reason might be that he already has a partner and is more comfortable choosing to live in a different location. But if the financial situation worsens, the main option is to live with your parents instead of staying at a friend's house.
1202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UK fines online casino for only asking KYC from winning gamblers on: January 24, 2023, 08:26:29 PM
It just proving the casino doesn't want to pay the winnings to the gamblers or they're lack of bankroll, so they're want to prevent from gamblers to win and they can confiscate the money if the gamblers don't want to submit their KYC. But it's a fiat casino which mean they will deposit the money through their bank accounts, the casino can easily recognize the real name and the bank accounts of the gamblers, they can directly contact the banks in order to get the personal information.

I guess they're want to crosscheck to prove if the gambler submit different identity or not.
I don't think there is any specific difference from that case, crypto casinos also always ask for KYC verification after the user reaches the withdrawal threshold or after high winnings, even they add the rule in certain conditions because the KYC rule was never in the terms and conditions rules. So there is no other choice but to comply with the regulations to complete KYC and wait for the withdrawal process of the big win you get from the casino.
1203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice on choosing a crypto casino on: January 24, 2023, 07:54:58 PM
Below I will list the most important aspects that should be followed when choosing a gambling site:
- having a valid and current license
- an obvious and understandable reward system
- User friendly UI
- Wide selection of games
- A good betting offer, even for events from the lower league, which may take place very close to you
- chat
Many casino lists have valid licenses but not all of them are recommended and worth playing, I suggest considering the list of top licensed casinos that already have an ANN thread in the forum, we must also prioritize reputable casinos and analyze the feedback from gamblers from the forum. I didn't add the bonus offer points for the most important aspects of choosing a casino but the safety and trust factors are more important to consider in the analysis of each casino.
1204  Economy / Speculation / Re: January bitcoin price out look on: January 22, 2023, 09:23:31 PM
We can't fully say that Bitcoin price have gotten to a point that we can conclude that it's increment is now strong not to decrease at any point in time. What Bitcoin is doing now is a correction. Because i believe that their is every tendency that the price might go back to decrease level or point. Before we can consider the price of Bitcoin currently as what is in the stage of bullish market, i will say that the price is in the state of forty thousand to sixty thousands in price. So therefore January is the beginning of the year and I believe that we have alot of months to comes and we done know the what will be the outcome of the price regulations or revolution. Let us not have it in mind that the price will continue to accelerate.
There is no price chart line that goes up or down but moves zig zag according to the bitcoin price based on demand and supply, so every increase there must be a correction and vice versa, so at the end of January there was a low correction but no potential to decrease to the previous lowest price, if market support is increasing and there is no fud pressing on the price so it is certain that the current correction signals the process of recovering the price higher for the next month.
1205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 22, 2023, 08:58:43 PM
Hill is just being merciful that he didn't KO Glover most probably out of respect.
I have fully watched every round of that fight, I didn't look at the fact that Hill was merciful not finishing the KO fight out of respect, Hill has been throwing heavy punches with hands and feet every round but Glover's stamina can still last until the final round, if Hill fights a fighter another might have knocked him out in the third round, but I was amazed that Glover lasted until the end of the round even though the fight was not optimal, he didn't return many punches and was unable to lock Hill's neck after he knocked him out.
1206  Economy / Economics / Re: Use your money wisely. Invest or Deposit ? on: January 22, 2023, 08:35:00 PM
If I have a $100,000 in my account the first thing I’ll do is have a good plan. I’ll split it into 2, 50% of it will be converted into bitcoin that will be holded for years while the other half goes to different crypto coins that has a high chance on the long run. I would like to spend it on bitcoins but I have hopes on other coins.

Having a good plan on how you use your money will make you financially stable.
Diversifying investments is good advice based on the amount of funds owned but allocating 50% each for bitcoin and altcoin investments is not recommended because the risk of altcoins is higher than bitcoin even though on the top altcoin list, I only allocate 25% for altcoins and add the rest for bitcoins, if you have skills in developing other businesses and the remaining 25% can be used for that purpose, business profits can be used for daily needs without having to involve investment funds.
1207  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: January 22, 2023, 08:07:40 PM
Acquiring more skills to find high-paying jobs should be our priority while we are can. Finding a side hustle to support our other necessities will be a good thing for us to be able to save and invest. Finding a high-paying job with a good working environment is a struggle nowadays but if we are equipped with the knowledge, we can find promising and decent companies. As the price of primary goods increases as well as our bills, we also have to double hustling.
It is very difficult to find a high paying job unless you have the knowledge and degree of higher education to take job vacancies prioritizing skills and knowledge at the best companies, you will be competing with many other applicants with better skills than you. The choice is better to work in other vacancies even though the salary is sufficient for a month's needs, at least we don't use savings or withdraw crypto investment for monthly needs.
1208  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - what price would you sell? on: January 22, 2023, 07:48:12 PM
In the next uptrend cycle, I will sell my bitcoin for around $150000 (less or more depending on the situation at that time, there will be more analysis). Bitcoin provides us with an undeniable opportunity to make money every 3-4 years period. In my opinion, it's best to have a long-term investment strategy and not to panic during short-term market fluctuations. So for the preparation, right now, accumulating bitcoin is the most important thing to me. I will work hard in order to buy more bitcoin and not just bitcoin, some cryptocurrencies like Solana and ICP are currently at the top of my portfolio list
You selling target bitcoin is too high but you are very consistent to hold bitcoin assets until it reaches the highest price, the long term period for bitcoin holders has never been disappointing based on the annual listing history that bitcoin has achieved and we must be prepared to go through various major corrections that may occur before the bullish period, the situation was not that many holders were still holding out to hit the bitcoin sell target and some might be taking profits. But I'm not too high on setting a selling target for bitcoin for $80k because of the realistic price that can be reached if the price has exceeded the previous year.
1209  Economy / Speculation / Re: How was your belief formed? on: January 22, 2023, 07:30:20 PM
Actually I don't care about people hating about bitcoin and they are blacklisted for me because they don't accept advice for crypto investment, I mean that I respect their investment principles even though they are not involved in bitcoin investment but they don't have to interfere to ridicule other people have bitcoins in their wallets and some of them make overstatements in the current market conditions for the purpose of making others hesitate to invest in crypto.

In the end they are the ones who judge whether they will be part of the people who believe in bitcoin or vice versa, but I believe when they learn about bitcoin they will be part of the people who believe in it.
I know they will eventually trust and learn crypto in secret because the percentage of new crypto users will increase if bitcoin can recover higher prices or can even reach new ATH. So let time will convince them to get involved in bitcoin investing and let's just focus on the current portfolio and ignore their words.
1210  Economy / Economics / Re: how to overcome inflation for the community on: January 21, 2023, 09:51:36 PM
Hedging is the way to fight inflation that's why people buy gold and BTC. USD is normally used by people from other countries to hedge against the plunging value of the local currency.  Spend less and cancel your vacation.

Looking for additional income in the best way, now means that we need to sacrifice in order to survive the crisis while the prices of gas and oil price steal the funds allotted to food. More money coming into the household is one priority.
We must try to fight inflation to reduce spending on less important items and have to work extra to get additional salaries, but it is suggested that all these savings must be converted to gold, investment and also property to increase investment value for the future. At least many people are converting USD to stabilize savings from the effects of inflation and for crypto investments many people will stick to the bitcoin option for the certainty of good returns compared to any coin.
1211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sell motorbikes to buy bitcoins on: January 21, 2023, 03:43:42 PM
Ops is still very much in line with the general concept of diversification since he had two bikes and he wants to sell one to fix the money in Bitcoin for future gains so to me this is a welcome development for ops and I will congratulate him for taking the right decision and shortly his investment will yield good profits if he can hold for long term.
Op took advantage of the momentum to switch to bitcoin investment from the sale of one of his motorbikes, even though the investment value was not too large from selling old motorbikes but if he focused on long-term investment it would generate investment value for luxury motorbikes, the strategy of diversification that Op implemented was feasible considered because rather than owning goods or motorbikes that are rarely used, it is better to sell the capital to invest in bitcoin for long-term profits
1212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: January 21, 2023, 02:58:55 PM
yes, it's a great idea to teach kids about bitcoin, but it should teach kids about bitcoin
is to have to wait for the right moment, and also there should be no element of coercion.

but we also have to remember that every human being is interested in bitcoin and some are not.
You should know that no parent forces their child to have to learn about bitcoin, but of course parents will teach him at the right opportunity without interrupting his playing activities, we can study once a week with explanations according to his age and we will reward him every time answer questions from answers about bitcoin, that's the best way to motivate children to always learn and he will easily record each of our explanations so he can answer the statement correctly.
1213  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: January 21, 2023, 02:41:10 PM
It probably isn't his last bet and I don't think he will end his life or anything since he is probably a rich dude who will regret this bet for a while and move forward just like the BTC pizza guy who missed out on millions.
I also believe that if it wasn't the final bet he should have known the consequences even though he was so sure he would win but the loss is obviously very frustrating for anyone because of his wrong way of gambling. He can even gamble the other way without risking $1.4m for an $11k profit.

we have to be careful in determining bets even though we have estimated the chances of winning, but nothing is certain in sports betting because each team will try hard to change its winning position with a new strategy, so sports betting is better to place low bets and not have a high risk of losing fund.
1214  Economy / Gambling / Re: Going to win 6000 usd on a ufc bet 21 january (listen to me and double your mone on: January 21, 2023, 02:08:38 PM
But I don't know if there is match fixing on the sports betting he is involved in, and he can get info on who will win from reliable sources. But he has won several previous matches, so let's wait and see the outcome. Will he win again this time or will it be his turn to lose?
We don't know whether he got information from reliable sources or not, how does he make sure that the fighter of his choice has the potential to win the match, I also took part in several UFC matches but there is no certainty that top ranking fighters can always win even if they lose the fight to defend the title, so we need an explanation why his chosen fighter will potentially win, if he's just guessing then just relying on luck on his side, but I hope he still wins that bet.
1215  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone living with older people? on: January 20, 2023, 09:47:11 PM
You don't need to force grandfathers and uncles to understand Bitcoin, especially grandfathers of course with old age, it's bit difficult for them to understand how the system works and how to work in Bitcoin to make profit. If you want push them understand about Bitcoin have you try step by step and guide them for basic information about Bitcoin.
I have found bitcoin knowledge videos for children on the YouTube site, maybe an explanation of simplified material about bitcoin will help explain to grandparents or parents who are unfamiliar with digitization, other solutions you can explain based on the antonym of the bank system that no one can manage and price levels are followed based on supply and demand.
1216  Economy / Gambling / Re: DUELBITS ASK FOR KYC WHEN YOU WANT TO WITHDRAW YOUR EARNED PROFITS on: January 20, 2023, 09:30:32 PM
so far, several gambling platforms that exist on this forum and have a good reputation, on average, have KYC requirements and these must be complied with, because that is part of the conditions that must be carried out before withdrawing funds or betting on a particular platform.
there is no compulsion to choose a gambling platform that must comply with KYC requirements and can choose other online casinos that do not have KYC requirements but do not guarantee security and usually do not have a license.
and up to this point I've been fine on Duelbits
He is free to choose a casino for gambling activities if he chooses an unlicensed casino there are no rules for KYC, but the security protection factor will not be guaranteed because the status of the casino is illegal and prone to fraud, but duelbits and several other casinos are licensed casinos that must comply with legal regulations , so KYC verification is required for licensed casinos because your privacy data remains safe and will not be leaked, licensed casinos will be reviewed and runtime monitored, if any problem occurs it will be resolved immediately.
1217  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did you sell off during the 21k price breach. on: January 20, 2023, 09:00:22 PM
Everyone has their own view of seeing the market momentum at the moment so the decision to sell coins like you did is also not the wrong decision to make because it certainly has very special reasons when you sell half of it. Likewise with other people who still maintain it and do not sell at all in conditions like now. This means that both are not wrong to do as long as it can still make someone feel comfortable and not become a problem in their life.
Every investor has a strategy in every investment because some investors judge the current momentum to recover losses so sell some at the recovery price and buy it again after the market correction, they may be big investors so selling half of the assets can make a few thousand dollars profit, but it doesn't matter if they use some of the assets for short-term trading for the purpose of covering losses on some of the other assets if the price decreases due to the uncertainty of market prices.
1218  Economy / Gambling / Re: i won over 3k on a roullete in stake.com (emotional day) on: January 20, 2023, 08:24:45 PM
I probably won't be able to do that, betting the same amount as my total loses in one go just to recover.  I don't have enough courage to bet huge amount of money   Grin.
A normal gambler does not risk the possibility of losing 2 times the amount of the previous loss even though he bets to recover all the losses, what he does is very risky and he may be very lucky because the high bet has won to recover the previous losses but it is inconceivable if he loses in that bet. Because gamblers do not limit the funds they bring to gamble, someone with high emotional will take action to increase the "all in" bet to risk everything when emotions cannot be controlled so that they lose consideration of risk, I suggest someone not to imitate very risky gambling and it's better to gamble moderately without risking all the funds you have on gambling.
1219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Btc get to $12k or $10k on: January 20, 2023, 07:47:16 PM
No one imagined that the bitcoin price would return to the $16k point as the decline did not occur immediately but was gradually pushed down to that price level. This makes many people unaware or does not think that it turns out that bitcoin can be lowered to that level. And while the price was able to return to $21k yesterday, it is still possible to drop back below $20k. And this is a correction that has happened to bitcoin so many times that it will affect other coins. But we don't expect the price to drop below $20k. And if that happens, we can't do anything and can only try to buy it at a low price.
Bitcoin has increased significantly since the recovery from the $16k price, so there has been no correction below the $18k price at the moment because the bitcoin price recovery trend is still increasing and the market is trying to reach the $25k recovery area, once it reaches the target of an increase then a correction higher will occur gradually to back below $20k to test that the market deserves to recover higher and gear up for a bull market.
1220  Economy / Economics / Re: Do your work. on: January 20, 2023, 06:59:02 PM
Having said that it is a common mistake, many people still think they can succeed if they follow the advice of billionaires or other successful people. They forget one thing that our starting point is not the same, our circumstances are not the same, so we cannot use the same formula for success. Too many people make the mistake of imitating others, while they never find the recipe for themselves, those people will never have success.
Learning from the experiences of billionaires is not bad, although there is no guarantee that we can achieve success like them, but we must focus on trying as much as possible without giving up before reaching 80% of your work has been successful, it is better that we have our own formula for work according to our abilities, so keep going continue your work because everything takes time to achieve all the planned targets.
