1202  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SatoshiDice And the root of all evil on: March 13, 2013, 06:34:29 AM
I'm pissed they moved my thread. Why they fuck did they hide it in Service discussion?

Because it's discussing a service?  Roll Eyes

But you didn't really need me to tell you that, did you?
1203  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "Analysis of Bitcoin" RE-POSTED (Part 1) - More about Atlas Project in Part 2 on: March 13, 2013, 06:31:57 AM
LOL. I was expecting something harsher.

I know it's going to be hard to show people what they believe in is not as good as they think. You guys can take it as if I've never said it. I don't mind. But some day when it happened as I said, just don't be surprised.

Still waiting for Part 2...

I love a good read. It was entertaining at least. I want moar!
1204  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SatoshiDice And the root of all evil on: March 13, 2013, 04:16:07 AM
There is no such thing as a technical solution to a social problem. Bitcoin is designed to allow this and thus there is no technical solution for it as long as the rules allow.

You're back!
Hard to stay away from $45 bitcoins, hein?

Sorry for the off-topic Tongue
1205  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to gain Trust? on: March 13, 2013, 04:14:28 AM
I can't tell you the exact method to gain trust, but I can tell you that this kind of thread, the way it's written, will get you nowhere near that path.
1206  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Doubling Bitcoin value in two months represent normal Bitcoin operation??? on: March 13, 2013, 04:07:31 AM
In a way Bitcoin is a scam, they reward less and less coins as time goes on, which makes them more valuable as supply decreases.

Wrong.
Bitcoins supply is well defined and it will not ever reach 21 million coins.
The reward halving doesn't decrease supply. In fact the supply will increase for more than 100 years, until the block reward reaches 0.

Here's a graphic for you, in case drawings are easier for you to read.
1207  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: March 13, 2013, 03:33:11 AM
piuk, you shure you want to have your site behind cloudflare and let them do an authorized MITM on your users?
Putting your site behind cloudflare is throwing away all the security you've built.

I think the way it is set up no private key or password is ever sent over the wire.

I hope you're right is all I can say.
1208  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM - Coinabul owe me 90btc on: March 13, 2013, 03:23:02 AM
I'm newbie in this forum. I want to send this post to

Bitcoin Forum > Economy > Trading Discussion > Scam Accusations

later in hope that it will be more visible there. I have to wait :-)

I will move it right now.

Psy, I realize this is a point of minor contention, but, what are the chances that the subject would be worded exactly the same -- same use of a dash, same grammatical error, etc. by two entirely different people?

No idea about the chances of that happening as I'm not very good at math when it doesn't involve money.
But this thread didn't belong in the Newbies forum.
Well, he might have copied the title from the other thread.
Have you seen bravenecs' registration date?
1209  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling BTC for $15 PayPal - trusted members only on: March 13, 2013, 03:01:11 AM

1212  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: instawallet has fallen new owner stealing on: March 13, 2013, 02:40:45 AM
wow I wonder how much he paid for instawallet.org? and he made 30,000,000. talk about a good investment! I wish everyone could be notified that has a instawallet before everyone gets robbed.
He's made nothing.  $30,000,000 is the rough value of the coins currently deposited in instawallets, but that has nothing to do with how much profit he has made.

Unless he's implying that's what he would make if he runs.

Will somebody please put my mind to ease on this. IW is my wallet of choice, and you guys are starting to scare me.

~Bruno K~

Run, Forrest, run!

1214  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Free Bitcoin Sites *and* Free Newbie Lotto on: March 12, 2013, 11:35:10 PM
A lot of these free bitcoin sites are slowed down recently by "connecting to www.operationfabulous.com" ...

And coinurl.com. I went from having 20+ clicks/day to 1 click/day in coinurl.com banners.
My site is completly loaded and the anners sometimes take 20-30 seconds to load.

Yup, I notice that often as well... "waiting for coinurl.com..."

Same owner, probably same server
1215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who will you choose to replacement Gavin, in case something happened? on: March 12, 2013, 11:05:39 PM
Luke-jr.
Then we'll have PopeCoin Tongue
or maybe TonalCoin, whatever that is.

1217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does bitcoin idea has a future, or will it get banned by governments? on: March 12, 2013, 10:34:38 PM
It doesn't really matter what the gov does.  The gov banned kiddie porn and that's still around.  Piracy is illegal but very much a part of our culture (nobody with 4k songs on their MP3 player actually spent over $4k getting there.)  Murder has been illegal since forever, and people get murdered all the time.

So what will a government ban on Bitcoin do?  Further prove it's a force to be reckoned with.  Ban or no ban, Bitcoin isn't going anywhere.

You forgot about drugs Tongue
1218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Max Keiser - "Bitcoin Millionaire" - Heralds Satoshi's Bitcoin as "Cyber Christ" on: March 12, 2013, 09:55:13 PM
Terence McKenna used to believe that the internet is the savior. Close call I guess.

why am i surprised to find a fellow knowing terence mckenna on bitcointalk...? By all the fundamentals i should not be.

You really shouldn't be surprised Wink
1219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Many tiny incoming transactions = bad/expensive to spend? on: March 12, 2013, 09:34:24 PM
You can just send the money back to yourself and the transaction will aggregate. It might take a long time to confirm but eventually the age of the inputs will be high enough to give it priority (unless you have bajillions of them).

In future wallets will probably do this by themselves, but for now you have to help them a bit.

I have between six and seven hundred incoming transactions, they range in size from between 1.3 BTC to 0.00000001 BTC and everything in between. Dates from mid 2011 to today.

So will it be sufficient if I take all my BTC and send to 1 address I contol in the same wallet? What kind of fee should I set for it? What if it is never picked up due to it's size?

I have patience to wait for weeks if need be, but I am afraid I will mess this up and lose my coins, send them into limbo or just waste BTC trying in vain to fix the problem.

1- Set your bitcoin client fee to 0
2- Copy the amount of your entire balance
3- Try to send your entire balance to a newly created address on the same wallet
4- If the client asks for a fee: Cancel. If no fee: Send
5- ?? ??
6- Profit

And this will consolidate my BTC and turn my "dust" into good a single lump of BTC? What can go wrong if anything?

Nothing can go wrong. I do that at least every couple of days.
1220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should the bitcoin community ban the Satoshi Dice filter patch? on: March 12, 2013, 09:32:25 PM
Stop +1'ing my posts.
Don't you know there's possibly nothing you can learn from them? Roll Eyes

Touché... nothing like having good arguments to assert a point.
