If the general consensus is that this endeavor is viable, I see no reason why Bitcoin 100 can't donate $1,000 worth of BTC toward the project. We would ask that some credit of sorts be placed on the final production, and definitely on your website.
I approve.

If you insert on the bitcoin.conf file you'll be able to run Bitcoin-qt and have the bitcoind functionality.

Thinking about taking that site offline, because ,seriously, for how many scams happen around here you see people aren't willing to share their experiences outside of this forum. It's a failure. Phinn, Joe's datacenter?

Are you using a graphic environment? If so you don't need any command to create a file. Just right click, choose "Create file" and give it the name xstartup.
Being someone who isn't a technical user have you thought about using a OS that is more user friendly than what you're using, for example Ubuntu, where you can solve almost any problem you find with a simple google search?

Fuck it. I give up. You guys got me. I'm Satoshi Nakamoto That's exactly what we would expect you state if you wanted to throw us off the scent, couple with claiming to be Portuguese, a country known for...thinking...thinking...I'll get back to you on that. Known for having divided the planet in half with the Spanish more than 5 centuries ago. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_TordesillasI know Americans are trying to follow our footsteps, but we did it without sending soldiers and killing everyone that stands in the way. Beat that, USA!

The .vnc folder should not be in documents. It should be in your user home dir.
psy No, I mean INSIDE your home dir I did try that. under view I found "find hidden files alt+" so I tried that in home and documents it does not show the directory?
Well, may I ask in which folder you created the .vnc folder? It should be in /home/YOUR_USERNAME/ If you created it there it should be there when you unhide files and folders.

No, I mean INSIDE your home dir. In case CTRL+H doesn't unhide the folders you need to look in your file manager menus for an option to "Show hidden files and folders" or something along those lines.
You need to press CTRL+H on your home dir, then you'll see all hidden folders, including the .vnc one you created.
Yes, you should put the dot. The directory should be named .vnc You'll need to unhide it after, tho. And yes, create the xstartup file with this in it # Execute common xstartup file [ -x /etc/vnc/xstartup ] && exec /etc/vnc/xstartup
# Load .Xresources file [ -r $HOME/.Xresources ] && xrdb $HOME/.Xresources
# Run the vncconfig helper to enable clipboard transfers and control of the desktop vncconfig -iconic &
# Launch a GNOME desktop exec gnome-session & Have you already installed the vncserver package for your distro?
The dir should have a dot at the beggining: .vnc If you don't see it, open your file manager, go to your user home dir and press CTRL+H and see if it shows up. files or directories with a dot at the begining are hidden, so they must be unhidden.

simonk83 I think it's you who used my referral. I have a promotion, if someone uses my referral I will match their deposit in a new account using them as referal. Give me your referal link and I will deposit 0.1. It's not much but every satoshi counts. Anyone else who uses my links be sure to pm me because I don't know how to get the referal links of those I have sponsored. blah pyramining is hard to explain lol.
It was indeed, and thanks for that Hmm, which account would be best to recieve the referall... the 0.1, the 0.2, 0.3, 29.3 or 100... The 0.1 one because that's the one that is under him. Don't even try...

Man, do you have teamviewer installed? Need a remote hand to help you?
hi, thanks- that may be the best way forward if I can install that on Linux? I think I am installing a new wallet.dat so I will try and do what was suggested. then look into installing teamviewer and mail you back. thanks. reg.
Yes, you can install it in Linux, but you'll probably need wine or mono installed to run it. I run it in ubuntu myself. Send me a PM if you need help. I could even write some detailed instructions, but if you got into that mess by following the wiki or some other thread in here I'm really doubting you can advance much more by following anything I write. With Teamviewer you can see what I'm doing and we can talk in real time while I'm doing it. I know it's hard to trust unknown folks over the internet, so, no hard feelings if you refuse this kind of help.

From an ethical and business reputation standpoint, I think the right thing to do would be to refund the entire BTC balance (if they never sold the BTC) or refund the USD equivalent, shipping including, of the BTC at the time that the order was made (if they did sell the BTC). Just my opinion, but I would find either of these to be an acceptable resolution, and I believe OP would as well.
If a customer makes an order, and it can't be shipped for whatever reason, then you contact the customer immediately and come to an agreement, then public shitstorms like these will be avoided. Yeah, I agree. If I was Coinabul, I'd be going above and beyond to correct this to hopefully salvage some remaining shreds of reputation. Did they ever had a reputation to shred? Has anyone here saw the video that other scammer, JRO, posted when he had a quarrel with Jon from Coinabul?

20% of them get sent to spam on my gmail, but that's mostly because of the thread titles and because I have subscriptions enabled for new topics on the Newbies and Portuguese forums, so I receive at least 100 messages/day.
1- Does the server use exim2 to send emails? Check in /etc if you have an exim.conf to be sure 2- Are spf and dkim correctly configured on the DNS zone files?
If the answer to 1 is yes I might be able to help you with the mail server config if you wish. If the answer to 2 is no, or "I don't know" I can also help.
In alternative, if you don't wish to mess with the server, maybe you can configure SMF to use SMTP to send the emails. That will solve a lot of configuration problems. Well, it won't really solve them, just bypass lol
