You can also earn Satoshis for entering captchas! For each correct captcha you submit, we will credit your account with 100 Satoshis.

So the deal is help the spambots that flood the rest of the Internet with unwanted crap and malware links?
No thank you.

What?

I've been using computers since acoustic couplers were all the rage, I know what is going on.

When user does the captcha thing, a spambot that needs to solve one to post its spam sends the image to your server.
User solves it, spambot then posts it's spam or links.

One of the first incarnations involved porn, each one you solved the image showed a little less clothes until she was naked.
Now I guess tiny fragments of digital currency are used instead as incentive to get people to solve them.

Sites that are involved with that disgust me. It's everything that is wrong with the Internet today.

Forget about it. I don't really want someone as stupid as you using my services.
Persons like you disgust me. They're everything that is wrong with the Internet today.
Have a nice day!

646  Other / Off-topic / Re: Yay for not hashing your passwords and sending them via email! on: June 09, 2013, 05:06:52 PM
I guess it's okay to do such, for a couple weeks ago I opened up an anonymous account at Amazon and received a similar email showing the name I chosen and the password, instructing me to keep the login info confidential.

Just because they send you your password in plaintext doesn't mean it's stored in plaintext.
Wordpress does that. It sends the user a generated password when they register and it is mailed in plaintext, but stored hashed in the database.

STFU, I just proved you wrong, stop trying to find a non-existent scenario to fit your ASSumption.

You couldn't talk more shit, could you?

LOL you know its the truth. who converts fiat into bitcoins to go and buy something other than drugs.

Just today paid an invoice using bitcoins, and it wasn't on silkroad. Oh my... I'm a freak! Shocked

but did you convert fiat to bitcoins and then pay? NO.

Don't ASSume... Yes, I did convert euros to BTC to pay for it.

WHY? Did you have to pay a transaction fee to convert the euro to BTC?

The transaction fee I paid for EUR>BTC was negligible when compared to the EUR>USD fee charged by PayPal.
Why? Because it was more practical and cheap to pay using BTC, given the invoice was in USD.

651  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin - game over on: June 09, 2013, 10:13:10 AM
it is not game over, but it is not time to buy or hold. based on all the fundamentals, bitcoin is worth  A LOT LESS than 94x the dollar. Until oil(or major commodity) is sold for bitcoin, this is a speculative price that has no basis in reality.

I also think a bitcoin can be worth 0 dollars and still not be game over.

1 bitcoin can be worth 1 barrel of oil.

I agree that now is "wait and see" time, but I disagree with your comment on the price.

If BTC is used *anything like* a reserve currency, or used for buying oil, it's price would need to be several *orders of magnitude* larger than it is currently -- we're talking millions of USD per BTC.

90M barrels of oil are used daily, $100 per barrel

that's 9 trillion dollars of money flow per day.

There are only ~12M BTC in existence. I'll let you do the maths....

It would take significantly less than "using BTC to trade for a major commodity" to support a value of over $100.
wait and get slaughtered you saying?

slaughtered, you say? Using your price tag, my bitcoins are still worth 100x more then when I got them.

I never mentioned coupons  Wink

Can we get a written statement from GoDaddy confirming their support of your business?
I mean, you're using their logo to promote and instill confidence in your company. They are for sure aware of the fact and won't mind recognizing their support of your project in some offical form, right?
655  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Launched 2 days ago... Now we are a phishing site? on: June 08, 2013, 03:52:31 PM
Godaddy has offered us a discount rate when we get a dedicated server  Tongue

I can get that from any coupon distributed by their affiliates. How is that "supporting"?

Searched your site but couldn't find the following information:
How exactly is GoDaddy supporting your business?
657  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Let's make a BLOG! on: June 08, 2013, 02:46:06 PM
Was thinking about that, using a revenue sharing model, where each author would get a % of the advertising revenues for his posts, the site keeping a small % just to pay operating costs.

You'd need an editor to keep content at a certain level. If done right, this could eventually become an online newspaper/magazine without requiring paid subscriptions.

Yes, and I have some original ideas on how to monetise it with advertising without being too much of a pain or distracting to the users, but quality articles would really be a must.
Let's say: would you mind spending 60 seconds or less of your time as "payment" to read a quality article, knowing in advance that most of that "payment" would go to the authors pocket?
