If you are screwed or not nobody can say. I would say you have malware on your computer, if it really happened as you described.
TX ID's, do you have them? You can double click the transactions on Bitcoin-qt and it will show you the details, including the TX ID

You are not a noob. Obviously you know what 2-factor authorization is and you are lazy enough not to use it. How could you blame MtGox and even ask for any compensation? Conceivably, an exploit like this could lie in wait until you use two-factor and then hijack your existing session to do whatever. While the OP did, IMO, screw up, Gox has some responsibility to monitor their own computers. what could gox've done ? I don't know, maybe they could just block everyone who logs in to MtGox with correct credentials, that would show those hackers who's the boss

Read his Wikipedia article. It probably was written by himself, or by PR specialists he hired.
If he were Satoshi Nakamoto then Satoshi Nakamoto will eventually be known as him, at least when Bitcoin succeeds. i.e. I think he's the kind of person that would want to claim the glory to be someone who invented Bitcoin.
From the reviews of his book and his profile, he probably knows a lot about money, a number of things about computers, but his treatment of quantum physics sounds very unprofessional - worse than a Sci-fi writer, and he brought up those names just to sound cool.
lolwut There is no wikipedia page for Satoshi... Obviously I meant this Ahlgren guy. I wouldn't use the word obviously, but thanks for clearing that up.

Excellent! Put a important message where no one looks for it...
Dude, when you registered you had to check a box saying you were aware of the posting restrictions. You don't find stuff even when it is put in front of your face, imagine finding a sticky on the Newbie section...

Why no scammers tag?
Because the moderators here are a joke. Moderators aren't your private nanny.

The point is to keep all your funds in one place. For some ppl it is easier to maintain/secure/backup one BTC address not a thousand. However it is much easier/safer to receive payments on multiple addresses.

Seeing as how the price of a bitcoin has dropped dramatically, would you increase the amount you are giving for videos (and everything else), even if the increase temporary?
I think the way he (psy) does it is he buys a batch of bitcoins at one price and hands them out until they're all gone, then buys another batch at the new price and adjusts the reward appropriately, so provided the price stays low, I would think that the rewards will go back up. Back when the site started bitcoins were about $40 I think and you could get something like 30000 satoshis per video. Bring back those days please!!!! That would make sense, and explain why the amount for videos used to be 2500 when prices were ridiculously high. On a similar topic, how does this website manage to stay afloat? Yes, alibaba teapot is correct. And that's how we manage to stay afloat. I don't know the dollar value, but when the site started the price was around €19 and the rewards were 40,000 Satoshis, because they were being doubled as a promotion. The real value of the reward for €19/BTC was 20,000 Satoshis.

Só, you stupidly run a java programa on your browser and end up with your mtgox credentials compromised and now Mtgox should reward your stupidity? Right...

Are there any iPhone users on here that have found a good mobile client for this forum
Thanks
David
Bitcoin Talk Mobile link in my sig. It's new so report any bugs or feature requests to me and I'll get on it. Good to read the fourm, but with no login, it's kind of pointless. I'll probably use it, to read up on some of those long threads.

Rewards got reduced to the point where it's pretty much pointless. 50 satoshi per captcha, 1500 per video. Disappointing, I actually had fun using this site while watching shows on my computer.
Have you seen the price of 1 Bitcoin lately?
