Dooglas should post what new steps he will take to prevent this sort of error in the future.

+1

dooglus needs to use "Pending" state and remove the coin from the user balances when they request a withdrawal and the hot wallet is empty or doesn't have enough funds.
Then he just needs to change the withdrawal state to "Processed". If he forgets to change the withdrawal from "Pending" to "Processed" at least he knows the user will not have the balance at the site to gamble and lose(or win).

Dude, cut it. Sick of reading of your alleged account loss to an hacker. No, I don't believe you.
523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Play or Invest : 1% House Edge : Banter++ on: July 16, 2013, 10:55:52 AM
He did it and fucked me. Now my gambling balance is gone, 2 BTC.
My bets were ALL legit, dooglus, so, re-do them please

In the period that celeste was playing, there were 11 invest/divest events, dividing his 147 bets into 12 sections.  For each section I calculated his net profit/loss, and calculated each investor's share of that.  I summed that over each of the 12 sections.

The result in your case was that you profited 1.83299028 BTC from the 1300 BTC loss.

Your balance at the time of the rollback was 1.81377284, not enough to withdraw the 1.83299028, so I divested the difference of 0.01921744 BTC.

That's probably the wrong way to do it - I should have divested the full 1.83299028 and withdrawn that, leaving your starting balance untouched.  But I didn't.

If you divest 1.81377284 now, you'll have the same balance as you did before the rollback.  I didn't cancel any of *your* bets.  I just took the rollback funds mostly from your balance rather than divesting it.

Edit: here are the numbers re. your investment before and after the rollback:

before, balance: 1.81377284
   share: 0.0014302363919835065
   purse: 26189.70369142
   invested: 37.45746731

 after, balance: 0.0
    share: 0.001502964987472036
   purse: 24909.59549078001
   invested: 37.43824987

You'll see that the different in invested before and invested after is the same as the different between your starting balance and the profit you made from the rolled-back bets.

That seems about right.
Now I'm just mad because you fucked up my bot when you took all my gambling balance. Grin

Doog did a manual withdraw for 1300 BTC and forgot to take it out of the player's account...that person just so happened to be Celeste, the site whale. Thus the whale goes and gambles away the 1300 BTC that was not suppose to be in the account. Doog has now paid 1300 BTC out of pocket to cover this joke of a degenerate.
I don't understand this. Are you claiming Doog just gave away 1300BTC of other investor's funds?!
NO, he paid the 1300 freeroll basically by divesting 1300 of his own funds and sending them to the cold storage wallet. He sent Celeste's 1300 BTC withdraw and forgot to take it out of Celeste's account. THEN Celeste goes and loses the whole balance, basically leaving the house with 1300 more coins then if should have had. So if everyone withdrew their balances it would be 1300 BTC short. Dooglus acknowledged the error and paid 1300 BTC of HIS OWN BTC to cover this mistake. I feel awful for dooglus.

So, the whale turned out to be "only" a shark? Grin

With phishers I expect to be phished. With you guys I'm going to be phished with the excuse "it's for your own good/to protect the community" if I use any of your services, which appear to be honeypots.

Nope.

I don't phish.

I also don't phish. I just let my friends grab the logs from my websites' sketchy login forms.
/sarcasm
527  Other / Meta / Re: I need a moderator please I have received fake feedback from TradeFortress on: July 15, 2013, 10:57:36 AM
why is it any of your concern psy?

Oh, I like to know who to stay away from. And right now, you and your buddies seem to be the kind of persons I wish to stay away from, much more even than said phishers ring. With phishers I expect to be phished. With you guys I'm going to be phished with the excuse "it's for your own good/to protect the community" if I use any of your services, which appear to be honeypots.
So, please tell me, which website is it that has some exploit on the login form that tries to find the user real IP if he's using a proxy. Or do I need to go dig on all of TradeFortress's websites to find which one?

this thread is just the tip of the Iceberg. DiamondCardz you are on the right track with identifying scammers, however you're accuracy is becoming poor at best. you negged this account mistakenly in the HollowInfinity thread. you can contact TF to inquire about my identity. there is alot more going on here then most of us understand at this point but we have narrowed this group down to a list of people, and we caught them coming of of tor exit nodes and traced them all the way back to [country ommitted]. keep up the good work and i will keep helping as needed.

THIS JUST IN: You can trace Tor!
I doubt it.

when you exit a tor node onto a website, logging in exposes your real ip address briefly

Dude, that's a major problem. Have you notified the Tor Project developers about it? And the CIA? And the NSA? And the FBI? I'm sure all of them wish to have that exploit also or maybe even fix that shit!
Are you a fan of "full-disclosure"? You should! That's how you do security!

BTW, how do you have access to the IP's people use when logging in, Pi Coin? Are you one of the forum admins? Because if you aren't than something strange is going on...

I'm not a moderator on this chat. I track scammers for those who have an interest in tracking them. i infiltrate their groups and destroy them from within.

I need details about that Tor exploit and which website was it that let you grab the real IP of someone using Tor and how they're doing it (js, LSO's, what?)

You need to be more specific and explain every little detail about who you are and what you're doing. Or we can just assume things about you. Without further details from you, I'm assuming you are an hacker and that you hacked the forum.

About Bitcoin-24: I had 20 BTC in there when it went down. Got them when they opened to allow withdrawals, a couple weeks after. I hope you get your BTC back!
531  Other / Meta / Re: "International Press" forum section on: July 13, 2013, 01:09:41 PM

If other formats are really wanted then they should be in their own sub-forums (i.e. US News, British News, etc.).

That's exactly what the OP is requesting. But is date formatting a valid reason to create more sub-forums? Really? Will people start posting dupe threads just to use a different date format on the title? Huh
532  Other / MultiBit / Re: Tha fook? My Bitcoins doubled! on: July 13, 2013, 11:23:08 AM
Moved your thread and gave it a title which describes the problem.

533  Other / Meta / Re: "International Press" forum section on: July 13, 2013, 11:10:08 AM
Q.:
As a compromise date format, we should use "13/07-15/15-07/2013". Then no one could possibly be confused.

Why not just use JULY or JUL instead of 07. ie 15 July 2013

A.:
Quote
YYYY-MM-DD has been agreed upon for a reason:
It allows sorting in alphabetical and date order with the same results.

Serious Question: Why can't people understand the above and stop picking on the way the date is written once and for all?
534  Other / Meta / Re: "International Press" forum section on: July 13, 2013, 10:59:12 AM
The Press section is starting to be used like Reddit. Every Tom with a blog thinks he has the right to post a link to his mediocre articles. The date format is the least of your problems.
Besides, the current format isn't about being US or Non-US. It's about people being able to properly order the posts.

Dude, your blog isn't "Press", even when if it reached the Reddit frontpage.
Moved to Off-topic as you just pasted a link in the OP and aren't expecting any discussion.
I see a lot of links posted without any context.  The forum rules say that the old section discouraged discussion, not that the new one requires it.  Go get rid of all those too.

I get rid of those that come across my path, you can be sure.

maybe you should consider using something like https://www.cloudflare.com/ ... idk! just maybe Smiley

Certainly not.
If you use cloudflare on anything remotely BTC-related you're a security dumbass.

maybe there is another service like cloudflare... i just know this as i am not dev myself... just something to keep the site up more than 99.9% of the time Smiley

What will you do with an online frontend if the betting backend is down/offline?

That doesn't say anything about why there have been no rewards whatsoever since June 29.

Please, don't mention him! :-)

Due to difficulty increase, and running costs, old hardware is mining with a very little margin, so most of the mined coins went into paying infrastructure. However with ASICs, costs will be spread on new hardware too, so it's still profitable to run them.

That was something I could understand. Thank you.

Update:

as I said before, there were some stability issues with the new software, so in the last two days not all expected bitcoins have been mined. Last night (spent asleep, programming) has been resolutive, now the software looks stable, and rewards should start to come as expected.

For impatient people: you don't know how huge is the quantity of work I am putting in... connecting 1 miner is one thing, connecting and managing hundreds of units is totally another kind of work, expecially when you have to design everything from scratch. Before the end of the week I should also receive more hardware, so more accounts will be enabled.
