This Sunday there are two very nice football matches. It starts with italy vs. holland and right after that croatia against spain, that will be a very good day. This are two so nice games, both games in the semifinals were very close. So you can almost say there will be two finals this sunday. I like to watch Kramaric and his goals on Sunday  ... maybe... I think he will make one. In the match for place 3 I would see Italy as the favorite. Chiesa will hopefully play from the beginning. The finals between Croatia and Spain will be the main game for me. I may not bother about seeing the game for the third place, but the finals is a must watch game. The two teams had a very tight and serious competition for the final place, for them to be the teams in the finals, they really earned it. Croatia is more like the team that be will win it, they have a way they play that has every player working hard to ensure the team's victory. They can be the small team but are very much capable of bruising any team that comes their way, and unlike Spain that showed poor goal scoring ability with Morata in the semi finals, Croatia are a dangerous team even from a goal down. Croatia vs Spain will be a showdown between older and younger players... Croatia is of course the more experienced team, which has been achieving good results in world competitions for at least the last 10 years... But I'm not sure that they are favourites in this match... By the way the match for the third place will be no less interesting... We all know that Spain is a good team, but I truly believe that Croatian team would be a champions for sure! They are considered more experienced team in the UEFA Nations League competition and they are the most deserving team. It's time we need to see Luka Modric lift a trophy with his country before he says his final good bye to his country. |

Bangladesh lead by 491 runs now, bowling of Afghanistan is somewhat reasonable in first innings but now in second innings they are unable to pick wickets and Bangladesh batsmen are scoring runs quite easily. Despite such performance I still support that Afghanistan and Ireland must be given more test matches to learn more about this format. Najmul Hossain Shanto became the second Bangladeshi player in the history who score two centuries in a single game. I just hope that this list of performances will go longer in day by day. At the moment, Bangladesh lead by 526 runs, a good collection so far. With such a strong collection of runs, Bangladesh should win the one-off test against Afghanistan. While it would be great if Afghanistan could put up a good fight, which is unlikely to happen. In fact, it may turn out to be a big disappointment for them. Yes, Afghanistan should be given more opportunities to play in test matches. As newcomers in the test culture, it's important plat more matches and level up their skills. |

The results were not too surprising, however, Croatia has been better than the Netherlands in recent years and even though the match was tied at 2-2 in 90 minutes, Croatia managed to get rid of the Netherlands in extra time. Luka Modric was so outstanding that he even played the full 120 minutes at the age of almost 38 and it was evident that his stamina was endless in such a fierce game. The Bangladesh team cannot be called weak now. They have a strong enough squad. There are many talented players in the squad of Bangladesh. However, I have no confidence in Bangladesh's performance in the Test format. Bangladeshi players have less patience. And their performance in the Test format is very erratic. On the other hand, the opponent Afghanistan's spin bowlers are very experienced. Mirpur's pitch is also spin friendly. And so we probably won't see high scores in this test match. With Messi now out of PSG and Neymar set to leave too, Mbappe knows there will be more responsibility for him. PSG will get new players in the transfer market, that can majorly play with him to win the champions league in PSG, he is not leaving. If PSG decided to stop Mbappe this season then that is very big risk because if he decides to leave next season that will be on a free transfer which would cost the club a big fortune thus losing millions of Euros, the only way forward is Mbappe to give assurance to the club that he is staying with the club for a long term basis and ready to sign a new contract, however with some recent speculations of his purported move to Real Madrid is unsettling his club, of course Real Madrid needed a striker to replace Benzema who had left the club while the club is already on the move to bid for and sign Harry Kane, however I think Real Madrid will give up on signing him for Mbappe.  These two young Brazilians will wear the legendary jersey number starting next season and as is well known, this number has previously been worn by Cristiano Ronaldo and also Gareth Bale. It seems that Vini and Rodrygo are ready to inherit the jersey number and of course they have a big responsibility to be able to continue the glorious tradition that Real Madrid brought with that number. I think they deserve it because they have had many seasons with Real Madrid and have been able to prove their consistency through goals, assists and also helping Real Madrid to win various titles. It's so exciting to see Ronaldo and Bale rebirth! Cannot wait. The number 7 jersey has always been iconic, and it's been previously worn by Cristiano Ronaldo. However, this is the first time I personally feel that Vini Jr deserves to wear it. Jersey no 7 has its uniqueness and greatness. So, good luck to Vini Jr with his new jersey! I must say though, jersey no 7 too big for any player now. I have high hopes that Vinicius Jr will be able to continue Cristiano's legacy and make his own. I would say that it was a good decision to make the Asia Cup being played in the ODI format. Because it is going to be good practice for the players ahead of the world cup. It is also very glad to know that they have finally come to an understanding. I am still very skeptical about this being the last time when we will see some problems being created regarding the Asia Cup. But at least we saw them coming to an understanding. There was a lot of talking going on about the Asia Cup and where it is going to be hosted. Finally, we can see a decision being made which is not too bad, to be honest.
A great news for cricket lovers! An official decision has been made regarding the upcoming Asia cup, and it's good news all around. Initially, India had rejected the hybrid model proposed by the PCB, but now they have agreed to play according to the given hybrid model. Pakistan is thrilled to be hosting 4 of the matches, and although 9 matches will shift to Sri Lanka, we can still consider this a victory for cricket as a whole. As a cricket fans, we should welcome this positive response! |
