Would it be possible to get a new shipping estimate from an official BFL employee?

I didn't find up to date information on the BFL website.

Asking on the official BFL forums, I only got trolled & ridiculed, no valuable information was given to me.

Shipping always starts the last half of whatever the current month is...

Quote
"Bitforce SC (ASIC) products are in final stage development with initial shipping scheduled for the last half of January 2013."
"Bitforce SC (ASIC) products are in final stage development with initial shipping scheduled for the last half of February 2013."
"Bitforce SC (ASIC) products are in final stage development with initial shipping scheduled for the last half of March 2013."
"Bitforce SC (ASIC) products are in final stage development with initial shipping scheduled for the last half of April 2013."

Also from the horses FAQ mouth.. Any orders made in April 2013 + 4-6 Months for delivery!  Wink

It's going to be fucking hilarious in 6 months when they finally ship.

What makes you think they can keep their pyramid scam running another six months?!?

Will be fun if the new Swedish guys beat them to the market too.

Gotta keep the dream alive until after September 2013 when Sonny's parole for mail fraud ends?  Wink

1223  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Isn't bitcoin too SLOW? on: April 08, 2013, 10:57:31 AM
The transaction time is related to the processing fee you offer, but yeah I think Bitcoin is too slow for over the counter.

Litecoin is faster and more likely to be every day currency.

Gold has a slow transaction time too, Germany will have to wait 6 years to get that transaction done with the Fed.  Wink

2x 5830s = 520-600MH/s depending how far you push the overclock will cost you the same as one 7790/7850 = 250-300MH/s

If they don't deliver the goods soon you could use this law.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mail_and_wire_fraud

One count of mail fraud, parole ends September 2013, I believe.
1226  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do I sometimes not get any shares in a round? on: April 07, 2013, 10:56:19 PM
I just tried 50BTC but it wouldn't connect Sad any PPS pools as reliable as slush's?

Just checked it and pool.50BTC.com is mining just fine.
1227  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: To those that say bitcoin is a pyramid scheme on: April 07, 2013, 10:52:12 PM
All bitcoins will be found by 2033 I believe and if there isn't enough transaction fees by then to pay the electicity people will just switch off their computers.

It is a pyramid scheme in the sense that the supply of coins is being limited and so they become rarer over time.

This doesn't enable stable prices and will hinder shop take-up of bitcoins because anyone holding stock is losing value on it all the time bitcoin is gaining value.
1228  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me pick a mining pool on: April 07, 2013, 10:41:12 PM
Use PPS not any other scam payment system

50BTC and BitMinter are my recommendations.
1229  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Limit the Guiminer GPU usage on: April 07, 2013, 10:29:57 PM
It should just yield it but if it don't you can try messing with the -s or -f flags.

Q: My temperatures are too high, can I throttle the GPU so it runs slower but cooler?
A: If you are mining using OpenCL you can use the -s flag a value such as 0.01 in order to force the GPU to sleep for 0.01 seconds in between runs. Increase or decrease this value until you have the desired GPU utilization.

Q: Can I connect to more than one pool with the same GPU? For example have a main pool, and a backup pool in case the main one goes down?
A: Yes, you can use the -f flag for this. A value of -f60 or higher in the backup pool's miner will cause it to yield most of the GPU power to miners with a lower f value (default is 30).

Open GUIminer twice.  Wink
1231  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if the US Government forced exchanges to close? on: April 07, 2013, 10:14:53 PM
Bitcoin v2 would include a peer-2-peer exchange.  Wink
1232  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: GUIMiner v2012-12-03: Solo mining on all available GPUs on: April 07, 2013, 10:11:11 PM
Try and older version of GUI Miner or try installing it in 4 different folders.

I don't get any limits on opening it multiple times though.
1233  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: GUIMiner v2012-12-03: Solo mining on all available GPUs on: April 07, 2013, 10:07:57 PM
Just open GUI miner 4 times!

Nvidia GPUs don't usually make their electricity costs back. It's better to sell them and buy Ati/AMD instead. Wink

Use a PPS pool instead of a scam pool  Wink

I recommend 50BTC or BitMinter

I was wondering if the new law in anyway might restrict users from getting Avalons
"It blocks NASA, the National Science Foundation and the Commerce Department."

I would say unless you work for one of those three, no.

LOL Battmann you started the topic..

"Advice from someone who isn't a moron"

Which moron advised you to buy from someone with only a P.O, Box address and on the known scammer list for taking pre-order funds for a non-existent ASIC project?

05-April-2013 Refund received in full.
So those people (or at least most of them) claiming to have not BFL received refunds are trolls?

I am wondering what will happen with BTC payments though?

You get Dollars.

When you take money in once currency and pay back in a devalued one that's called an arbitrage scam.
If you want your BTC back kindly remind them of the Mail & Wire Fraud laws. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mail_and_wire_fraud
If you paid in BTC, there's no excuse for them not paying back in BTC, they run a huge mining farm and pool so they have freshly mined BTC every day!
