Use this one
https://manage.edis.at/whmcs/cart.php?gid=17

I think it is even at the same DC my miner is at Wink

Proper website:
http://www.edis.at/en/server/linux-vps-solusvm-openvz/iceland/

5TB traffic should be enough... contracts month to month.
Also 500GB storage and 4 GB ram should be enough.

All for 16.99 € Wink

I'll set it up at some point this week and let you know
That would be so cool.

Maybe roadstress will want to use it too.

I think i just got a donation for mining on p2pool....

Thanks, i know.

So far i am only looking for a pool in Iceland (and want to get to know to the bottom of highest efficiency).
Yours has the lowest latency from Iceland, raskul.

Dead/Orphan shares might also be reduced by peering with more other nodes?
Maybe it is just a stroke of bad luck and the pool hit many bad shares.

I guess there are some out there but not neccesarily public ones.
1246  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Alternative to GHASH.IO/CEX.IO for Cloud Mining ? on: June 19, 2014, 06:01:32 AM
petamine on havelock offers GH that are cheaper to maintain than cex GH.

They are based on Bitfury 3,5TH 0.785W/GH devices and charge 0.25$/kWh for electricity and hosting.
1247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 19, 2014, 05:57:15 AM
Isnīt KNC late on their shipment?

Didnīt they say the "customer appreciation" batch would ship one month before end of Q2?

Also, 0.7W/GH on 20nm is a waste of Silicon, you can get that on 40nm or even 55nm.... It just makes for unreasonably high NRE.
1248  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [460 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: June 19, 2014, 05:52:47 AM
Does anyone know of a p2pool node in Iceland?

Is the percent of orphan/dead shares "lost" between the miner and the pool or between the pool and the network?
1249  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ANN] Central Cavern P2Pool Node Launched! on: June 19, 2014, 05:46:47 AM
BTW is this a normal dead / orphan rate of shares?

Does it become lower when the pool pears with more other pools, or is it solely dependant on the miners?
1250  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ANN] Central Cavern P2Pool Node Launched! on: June 18, 2014, 10:07:15 PM
XXX.io also uses PPLNS, the rounds are just shorter. It is the same system though...

ewwww... he who must not be named ^^^ !XXL! is he who must not be named...

it's swings and roundabouts really, regardless of where you mine or what algo you use, payouts will more often than not, average the same amount for your hashrate, at the end of the day.
and here was me thinking we were going to start off with 1% of the p2pool network... oh well, more marketing required methinks!  Cool
HA! I caught you on a thought of monopolism! Be prepared to argue your case against the Bitcoin Police of the Mind!

That is how it starts you GH shill! Soon you will want to build the biggest p2pool node available and enslave us all with "your" hashpower!

1251  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Boycott GHASH.IO/CEX.IO permanently on: June 18, 2014, 10:01:08 PM
Over the same period of time, mining on a small vs large pool (with the same fee) gives you statistically the same amount of payout.

P2Pool is the only pool that supports the main idea behind Bitcoin: decentralisation.

(looks like our friend became impatient)
Yes, well now he can be happy that he will get the same (small) payout for days and days every time a block is found.

Maybe he then understands the PPLNS payout system.
1254  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ANN] Central Cavern P2Pool Node Launched! on: June 18, 2014, 09:44:02 PM
Right guys I know I know that's not about money DECENTRALISING but 69pence for 2h 22m 5TH ??
The payout model is PPLNS, that means your average commitment over a larger timeframe is recorded and you are then payed according to it once a block is found.

You need to wait until all the "shifts" have received work from your miners, then you will receive the maximum payout like on other pools.

Could you tell me the reject percentage of your miners at the moment?
1255  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Boycott GHASH.IO/CEX.IO permanently on: June 18, 2014, 09:38:00 PM

So basically you want somebody else to subsidize your mining overhead?  You are willing to destroy BTC for the extra income gained from having 1% less fee?  how shortsighted are you fools?

So other than having the ability to sell miner's hashes through CEX.IO, how extra is ghash.io benefiting from this?  Care to question that?  You think they're offering the pool from some sort of benevolent or altruistic view towards miners?

You don't have to be a cynic to understand that such behavior is not seen in the business world.  Something doesn't smell right.  The fact you peons are willing to overlook that coincides with the fact you are late bandwagoner  Roll Eyes
No, I am saying the longterm solution is creating awesome pools with nice payout systems.

Eligius works with 0% fees just fine.

At the end of the day the "consumer" decides on which service to use. He votes with his choice for the model he likes most. That vote should be respected.

I am not willing to destroy anything, as I am not the destroyer. Even a 51% pool doesnīt destroy anything without malicious intent.

As explained, the pool would first have to withhold a large number of blocks from the network to then submit them at once, verifying each block on its own and creating a new sidechain,
which would then become the main chain.
1256  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: H/w Hosting Directory & Reputation on: June 18, 2014, 09:29:31 PM
I am quite okay with public IPs.

I guess the prices in WA state DC will be better than getting your sp30s hosted there (~85€ / kW), bulk shipping discounts, 100$ setup fee....

To clarify, I had three days delay in total. I would have been okay with one day, as that can be fairly common in my opinion.
1257  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ANN] Central Cavern P2Pool Node Launched! on: June 18, 2014, 09:22:01 PM
New block found... wow we are on fire... now i am annoyed that i didnīt have enough time to ramp up those PPLNS rounds.
1258  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ANN] Central Cavern P2Pool Node Launched! on: June 18, 2014, 09:15:54 PM

Roadstress, i'm afraid the noise is staying, it's designed to be heard in a d/c environment Tongue
Just give everyone a direct link to the pool statistics page at the top of the thread and warn them about the sound on the other link.

Otherwise it might look as if you wanted people to get hearing damage... Wink
1259  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ANN] Central Cavern P2Pool Node Launched! on: June 18, 2014, 09:11:59 PM
Hi,

Just wonder why my hashrate is much lower than should be.
And those statistics just not too acurate or what Undecided ?

ping 25ms
That is due to the method p2pool determines your hashrate, aswell as the timeframe for the statistic.

Wait an hour or two and the hashrate should be roughly that of your miner.

Donīt be alarmed by a high percentage of DOA shares, as long as you are under the p2pool average, you are even getting payed more than your hashrate.
1260  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio, Best $/GH/s ratio on: June 18, 2014, 08:38:48 PM

Oops. I pinged http://minefast.coincadence.com/ not CentralCavern. Sorry. Yeah good ping on the centralcavern pool. Anything else important to know about p2pool? I might change to it, but I need to know the important stuff about it.
http://p2pool.in/

Just try it for a few days, if you like it, keep it.

Payout mode is PPLNS with the work (shares) being recorded in the p2pool sharechain.

London is also 40ms. Havenīt checked Scotland.
