DYIP won and ended their 25 game losing streak, what a win for them.
NLEX really needs to reorganize their players and have a better plan and strategy. This is very unfortunate for them, but expected at the lower position. My mistake to place a bet with NLEX, I thought they have a better chance here. Game 2, is for Ginebra and Blackwater as expected Ginebra leading all the way hoping to get some win tonight on my bet.
I also failed to bet on these games tonight but if I have bet then most likely I would lose in the second game as I won't bet for the DYIP on this stage of the conference but it is just good to know that their losing streak has ended and as a bettor on the PBA, I hope that this could give them a much-needed boost to play hard and hope to win more games in the future. |

@Yaunfitda. Agreed. They might not be the champions and the kings of their weight divisions, however, they have the biggest names. This is very much similar to Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz in the UFC, I reckon. It can also be argued that this fight might be as big or bigger than Spence vs. Crawford in excitement and expectation for the fans.
Yeah, they might not be champions but this is what hard core fans of this sweet science is longing for as well as the ordinary fans, they want to see toe to toe actions which for me this fight if pushes through could deliver the actions. I reckon that this is an even match, though Davis is the experienced fighter but Garcia has the size advantage that if used well could make life hard for Davis. A fight with Beterbiev for the unification of belt at 175 would cement his place in history as the two-division unified champion which I think non has accomplished yet. Poll would not lie, Casimero got 96.3% of the total votes here, so it's very obvious that most of us here believe that Casimero will win. Actually, I don't believe that when a boxer is inactive he will not be the same, because if a boxer that is inactive were active in the gym practicing, there should be no changes on his conditioning, Casimero was only inactive in professional sports but I'm pretty sure he keeps himself in shape all the time.
Maybe the poll was influenced by the fact that many users who read this thread were compatriots of Casimero like myself but in reality, though Quadro Alas has the advantage in this fight though the odds are not released yet but there's a big chance that Casimero would be the huge favorite in this fight. We have 2 games today, first game is between ROS and Dragons, ( we know the winner already). 2nd game is Bolts vs Bossing, same with first game, we already know which team will win.

1st game result, 120-87, big win by Bay Area Dragons.. Once again, they won in a dominant passion, and that high spread was never a problem because it was easily covered. On the 2nd game, it's currently a close game and if Meralco wins here, Bossing will still surely cover the spread. We are currently in OT period now, Meralco is leading by 3 points with 12 seconds left in the game, will their be another OT again? Hehe.. let's see.. By the way, those who bet on the underdog sure are a bit nervous now if it's an ML bet. Meralco won by four points, 102-98. Though a hard fought win but still a win and this gave them the boost as they are slowly but surely climbing up in the standings and they are undefeated with McDaniels as their import. Have not seen the betting odds for this game but i think Meralco hasn't cover the spread as i think that it was -5.5 or -6.5 so i think if you have bet for the Bossing then it was still a win for you. |

My personal take. This fight will happen since this is a big fight and should be very easy for Spence. Spence should be able to stop this past-prime version of Thurman or at least win an easy unanimous decision if he wants to stay safe.
Agree that this would not be a very hard fight for Errol Spence if this pushes through but just don't know with Spence lately because he seems to avoid big names and we know that Thurman is a name to beat in this division so he might have some hesitation facing this guy. I think WBC is firm on making this mandatory fight and only Errol Spence's nod is lacking here but there is also a possibility that he will not fight and be stripped of this version of the belt. |
