Wow, that's a nice hold, probably top 50 Richlist for you,  you however seem worried to have them staking in a wallet on-line?  I understand currently there isn't any computer which is safe, but lets say for example you have your wallet on-line with 70000 XC staking, would your IP address be traceable to those coins?  Or are you just playing safe and keeping them cold?  I'm new to this and would like to learn about real world concerns.

Just tried that XC app on a bootable  USB flash (latest .iso).
App starts, but no connections, no sync starting.  Waited few hours, nothing. What may be wrong? Any help?

If you have a lot of coins sitting at Mintpal, what are you thinking?   They got hacked recently.   Bter's NXT hack might be some new unknown attack vector that could be affecting Mintpal or other exchange too.  

What are you waiting for?   Withdraw those XC away from the exchange!

We should make a decision right now that if an exchange gets hacked and XC is stolen there will be no rollback or blacklist.  It is what it is.

This thread page count could be 5-9 times smaller, if ppl would be more careful in leaving old,  "quoted" text.

And to think, this coin hasn't even been released to the public yet.........., reading back through the threads, one must say this particular Crypto Currency has all the makings of a Movie !!!  It was released to no fan fair, was never talked up by those involved in the development but more importantly it's user friendly by name and nature.  I mean the way XC puts the thought that this is (X) Cross (C) Country currency means it's very presentable to the main stream.  Dark Coin i feel just doesn't have level of professionalism to make the main stream, the name for a start, DARK to me instantly brings thoughts of Evil, underground , shady which unfortunately means no matter who endorse this coin, i would never want to be associated to it personally, i guess most corporate business would think along the same lines.  All that said, always expect the unexpected, the volume to me doesn't make sense so what do i know. You are right. I share the same sentiment. I've been proclaiming the fact that XC is a company, a platform since the very beginning. We hold xc 'coins' but I see them as stock, or shares of that company. I hold and have held since May this year. I'm not thinking about selling any time soon. It's only a matter of time before either venture capital starts feeding on xc or a large company wants to buy the technology. It wont happen overnight, but I am patient and I will keep my faith whatever the market conditions are, we will get there.

If XC decides to charge some sort of fee to use their private communication platform (chat, voice, & video)... I can't even begin to imagine how high the price will soar.

Do you have to leave the wallet running for coins to stake?  I've read about POW and POS but still don't understand how it works.

To put it simply, let's say i have 2 blocks of 333 coins, what do i get if i just leave them there cold storage to leaving them there with a wallet online?
