1261  Economy / Lending / Re: 5 BTC Loan. on: March 20, 2016, 04:17:39 PM
It also might help some if you could sign a bitcoin address that you had posted from a couple of years ago in some topic.  I haven't looked through your post history, but your trust says you bought and sold some things, so you should have an address posted somewhere that proves you are the same person from 2013.  Go ahead and find that address and sign a message with todays date and how much your looking for.

Not sure if it will help get this loan filled, but it will at least take it from 0% chance to 20% or something.
1262  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [33/100] "What is Bitcoin?" silkscreened posters [UPDATED DESIGN FOR 2016] on: March 19, 2016, 11:03:20 PM
I'd like to buy one.
Couldn't find the design anywhere, though.

Can you send me the design, if possible?  Grin

Read the OP before posting.  By paying for the early bird you do not get to see the design until final prints are done.

Also, I am looking for a little clarification because I don't seem to understand how betback and lossback work.  Here is my situation...

I played 2 instances of Dice and am Bronze II

The first instance I bet 10 chips at a 1.01x odds and won .09 chips.  Now, per your VIP rewards page on your website, it says, "1 Chip Bet = 0.01 Status Points" for Dice.  So by my math I should get...
10 * .01 = 0.1 Status Points for the bet, but I actually got 0.0009, which would be the win amount times 0.01.  This is fine, I understand that is the way it should be since otherwise it would incredibly easy to level up with low risk bets in dice, but this needs to be changed on that page because the current description says I should be receiving 0.1 status points.
Now, I should also be getting Betback for that bet of...
10 * .0002 * 66 = .132 Betcoin Points for the bet.  But I actually got 0, again, this makes sense that it is based off of the win amount and not the actual bet amount, but this should also be changed to reflect this, since the current rules read that I should be credited .132 Betcoin Points for the bet.

The second instance I bet 5 chips at 2 times odds, lost, and then bet 10 chips at 2 times odds and won.   This is where I am missing something as I think I am being shorted some betcoin points.
I should have gotten .15 status points, which I did ((5 + 10) * .01) = .15 status points for the bet.
But I only got .066 plus .132 betcoin points, which seems to be ignoring the lossback from the 5 chip bet.  Here is my math...
Bet 1 = Loss 5 chips       (5 * .002 * 66) + (5 * .0002 * 66) = 0.726 Betcoin Points, but I only got 0.066 betcoin points, which would just be the betback and not the loss back portion.
Bet 2 = Win 10 chips      (10 * .0002 * 66) = 0.132 Betcoin Points from the betback, which is how much I got.

In fact, I decided to look at some of m sports bets yesterday, and it doesn't seem like I am getting paid Loss Back at all.  My sports book loss back should be 1% and my betback should be 0.1%.  I lost 2 bets yesterday for 100 and 150 chips.
I got 6.6 Betcoin points and 2 status points for the first one and 9.9 Betcoin points and 3 status points for the other.
The status points seem to be fine, but the Loss back is not getting paid.  So I got curious and looked back through my "Events" Tab and sorted by "All" for "Comp Points" and the last time I got loss back was 3 months and 1 week ago, which would put us at the beginning of 2016 roughly.  So then I went into my bets history to look back to then and I have 1,550 worth of bets lost between the first of the year and now.  By my math at 1% sports loss back, that should be 1,023 extra Betcoin Points that I have not received just for lossback.

Can someone please look into this and help me fix for whatever reason I am not receiving the correct rewards back?

What is the cap on the games?  I am trying to bet 1.1 btc on Oklahoma M/L and it is telling me that my wager is higher than the maximum bet allowed.

DebitMe immediately go to support so we can assist you promptly.  Wagers should be accepted as high as 5,000 mbtc for all players and even higher for others:

http://www.betcoinsports.com/ShareTicket/?ticketid=222982

It isn't easy to do that while at work when my network blocks gambling sites and I am on my phone, either way, I lost out on almost 100 chips yesterday because my bets wouldn't be accepted.  But I am happy to report that all my bets have gone in today with no errors.  Now if we could get KU, IAST, and and UNC to all win today, I will have made a nice little .4 btc profit.
1265  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Free Elec - Avg Temp 18º - Budget 30k. Start or not? on: March 19, 2016, 06:15:43 PM
Don't forget also that there is no such thing as free electricity, someone is paying for it, it just may not be you.  Said person may not always be happy to see a utility bill jump the way it would by adding 30k worth of gear onto the system either.  Food for thought, don't screw over something good you have (aka free electricity) until you can be absolutely sure its OK and you are not cheating anyone (aka Taxpayers or someone else).

Electricity is just really that cheap in places with Hydro Electricity. Or maybe someone live in a place where electricity comes down to near free... Or maybe he has a solar array setup, that once bought, the cost of the electricity over the estimated period of the panel's lifetime, it comes down to free, or he has a small hydro turbine.

TLDR; there is such thing as free electricity, copy pasting the typical ad sig campaign reply isint helping anyone.
[/quote]

That is actually not true, every example you listed still requires cost for the electricity in some form or another.

Hydro - yes it is that cheap, but it is still not free.
comes down to near free - again, it is not free.
solar array setup - extremely high costs to run a couple of S7's, the amount of space and cost associated with setting up a solar array to power 30k worth of equipment would be so expensive, over the life of the miner, you would be better off just paying over 50 cent a kilawatt for power.
small hydro turbine - again, extremely high setup costs and you would need a large hydro turbine to run 30k worth of S7's.

So again, there is no such thing as free electricity.  The main point I was getting at with my post is that every now and then, someone comes along with subsidized electricity for whatever reason and I am usually the person paying for it through my tax dollars.  This really pisses me off that they get to think they are getting free power and get to mine for free, when they really aren't, and instead of tax dollars going to something good, they are going to paying for these people to mine.

What is the cap on the games?  I am trying to bet 1.1 btc on Oklahoma M/L and it is telling me that my wager is higher than the maximum bet allowed.

This is getting ridiculous, my above bet of 1.1 btc would have won me 66 chips (game just finished), but I was only able to bet about 350 because it wouldn't let me put any higher bets through although there are multiple posts saying everyone's max bet is 3 btc or maybe 10 btc now, who knows?

Now, I am trying to bet the later games tonight and my West Virginia and Texas bets go through without any issues, but my Texas A&M bet is saying "Bet not accepted. reason: Failed Integration Calls".  For the record, I am trying to put 400 chips on the game, and I have tried smaller denominations without any luck either.

My first complaint was out 2 hours before the Oklahoma tip off, to no avail which cost me money.  Now this complaint is out just under 2 hours until the Texas A&M tip off, and I am really hoping I get some support before the game starts.  This has to be one of the busiest times and most profitable times for sportsbooks in the year, there should be staff monitoring here for issues.

There are restrictions on new accounts posting pictures to prevent spam.  I don't know specifically how long it is for, but until then, all you can do is link to the picture you would like to post.
1270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still keep a fiat retirement account? on: March 18, 2016, 09:35:15 PM
I spent some time last night working on a spreadsheet to show some retirement plan/goals for myself and my wife.  This spreadsheet is pretty powerful to show compounding gains and the power of time on an investment.  Please take a look and let me know what you think.  The current version ignores things like promotions and bonuses (and bitcoin going to da moon!), but if there is enough interest that stuff wouldn't be too hard to add.

1276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People mocking of me for using Bitcoin on: March 12, 2016, 04:55:54 PM
When I talk to friends or family about bitcoin, I generally don't bring up what I think the price will do.  This always leads to them mocking or thinking I am crazy, even though it is my belief and I don't judge them for the investments they make.

Instead, I mostly stay towards the positive attributes about bitcoin, and why it could be so successful.  Things like instant money changing and cheap fees to send money anywhere in the world are topics I generally hit upon.  This type of speaking usually has them agreeing with me and wanting to know more.
1277  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.50 BTC loan (new project) on: March 12, 2016, 04:51:07 PM
I m employed and my monthly earnings is about 1.51BTC plus i will make more bitcoins with this new project (will have bitcoin ad networks in it and site advertising).
Also if i will be able to pay back faster i will do so!
You only make $616 per month? How much do you spend on things like food, rent and transportation?

Even if you ignore the above, you are suggesting that you will use roughly 29% of your total income to repay your loan, which is a ridiculously high percentage of your income to use for unsecured debt repayments.

i am wondering if he is saying that he makes 1.51 btc per month after expenses (basically what he is able to put into the bank), which then assumes the question, if you are able to put $600 a month straight into savings, why don't you already have the money to fund this venture?

It is either what QS said or what I said, and either way, I don't see you get a loan for that much without collateral.
1278  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: March 12, 2016, 01:19:15 AM
The value of S5s have depreciated faster than the value of S7s this week.
That will continue until the S5 is obselete.

Not so sure . When I look at the market I have the feeling some tried  to use the panic to push the market down . But with the next diff and BTC price the ROI should stay below 180 days for at least 20 more days .
So right now some whale is making good money .

+1, if the S5 price still goes down while bitcoin price increases, it would only benefit the people who bought the GH, those people who sold their GHs for reason become jelly for the mining shares. nowadays the transaction fee is increasing, thus the mining is now much more fierce than ever.

Do people buying hashes in Hashnest get any transaction fees? If no, any reason why? I don't think I've seen my payouts increase

They had made an announcement that they were going to add trading fees to my knowledge that hasn't happened yet.
1279  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Physical coins on: March 11, 2016, 02:56:47 AM
I hold a variety of physical bitcoins from most of the various retailers of them.  There are many reasons that I hold them.  They are incredibly beautiful first off.  Every single coin more shiny than the last and I absolutely love that.  Most are incredibly rare in todays markets, and that will only increase over time as more and more people get into bitcoin and want them.
They are also a really great way to store bitcoins.  I have various denominations that I know are safe, and its a great way to put away bitcoins for the future.
My main concern is that the bitcoin price will increase, but these will reduce in value proportionately and will be denominated in USD.  Who knows though. they are still really neat and fun to have around.
1280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 'bomb' alert in airport on: March 11, 2016, 02:44:09 AM
This is really too bad.  It is the few that give bitcoin a bad name.  Its also sad that people don't realize that if it wasn't bitcoin, it would be something else.  These type of things will always be done, regardless of if bitcoin is involved, and the mainstream media just ends up painting bitcoin as worse than the culprit.
