1261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar Loses €1M in Casino in Just an Hour on: March 30, 2023, 11:16:23 PM
We're just watching while he is the one who will suffer emotionally from that loss, even if he is getting paid a huge amount of money from his club there will come a time when he will lose his fame and his skill will decline and later he will feel more sorry for the amount he loses, athletes have limited time to earn fortunes so wasting it on gambling is a worse idea, somebody close to him should advise him losing a fortune in gambling is not good for mental health even if you claim its nothing to you.
1262  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Participating in Mixer Signature Campaign on: March 30, 2023, 10:25:58 PM

Though I'm not completely sure, I think if law enforcement was behind the decision, it wouldn't only be about the staff or mods not advertising mixer services, but there would have been a forum-wide ban on advertising mixing services and already running campaigns would have been force-closed by the staff and moderation team.

It must only be a precaution for the storm that might hit the forum sooner or later for not complying with the laws or going against them. Hopefully, there won't be issues like that but if there are, I don't think anyone can do anything.

There's no news or decision that comes out about mixing marketing and the admin decision to stop staff from advertising mixing is a way to protect the forum administration from liability but I'm sure they are following the news about these mixing services, so we will know in a couple of months before there is a ruling about mixing marketing on forums and other advertising platforms.
Bitcointalk has established itself as the number one community of the Bitcoin industry, the authorities will not flag it without giving a warning first and we can't do anything about the admin decision.
1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most likely category of people to become Gambling addicts. on: March 30, 2023, 09:26:41 PM
Quote
- Be careful introducing gambling to people who have a good access to enough money and no discipline in spending, they may not mind gambling to win money, but for other reasons, and because of their good access to money, they may just become addicted without even knowing.

On your list, I consider this one because I have seen one personally from an acquaintance, the guy has a good business but is always prone to spending he doesn't care about money because he has a continuous flow of money, once gambling was introduced to this guy he was challenged to make gambling as another source of income not knowing the odds and the house edge.
The guy thought that he has found a good method through martingale, the well-known newbie traps, he become a gambling addict, it took him a lot of money to realize that he is losing a lot of money, glad that the guy comes to his senses before it becomes too late to stop.
1264  Economy / Gambling / Re: PIWI247 - FREE30 BONUS - NO DEPOSIT NEEDED for FRANCE, GERMANY AND SPAIN PLAYERS on: March 30, 2023, 02:58:58 PM

Piwi has 2 of the same ANN threads. My advice to representatives is to immediately lock the other thread because the forum rules make it clear that each casino may not create more than one ANN thread.

He should it seems the representative of Piwi247 is not really serious about promoting their project here, he disregard the forum rules by having two threads which could imperil his account, he is not wearing a copper account which is a must for a representative here with an announcement thread here, especially for casino platforms, the announcement is not well designed it should be the work of a professional designer.
But it's good that the representative is active in addressing questions, I hope he'll lock the other thread so he can continue to have the presence of their casino.
1265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sports do you like bet apart from the the listed one here? on: March 29, 2023, 10:19:51 PM
I will not bet on sports that I don't understand because that would be a high risk, so I prefer to bet on football even though I don't fully know many of the clubs I bet on but at least I like this sport and don't want to try sports that I have never You know, after all, many like football betting on this forum and like to discuss football clubs on the forum.

Same to me I have a good chance if the sports I'm betting on is the one I'm familiar with like MMA and boxing these two sports are the one I followed and subscribed to on their respective pages.
The other sports that I like to add to OP's list are baseball and table tennis they are specific to countries mostly Europe and the US.
Casinos will not include these sports if they don't have regular bettors but football and boxing are two of the most popular.
1266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The future of CBDC in gambling. on: March 29, 2023, 09:37:18 PM
CBDC is legal tender (once it will be emitted)... so for sure ... casino will accept it! it's also their interest and probably it will become one day the only form of payment in a casino.
The only chance to see not accepter is a scenario with casino/betting illegal/banned.
But I think this is something impossible for the next decades Smiley

Yes, CBDC has its higher chances to be accepted as a legal tender in the casino but I don’t see its happening soon as cryptocurrencies are still much in demand than using CBDC. However, this is really possible as CBDC is a legal form of currency and is always backed by a central bank, so definitely if the government will make a rule to make CBDC as the only currency that will be accepted in casinos, then we as gamblers should always abide with it and consider cryptocurrencies as no place in gambling.

It's still the gambling community that will decide if they are going to support it or not, not all governments all license issuers can make a rule to accept CBDC on all casinos, casinos can include it as one of the payment processors based on the recommendation but no authorities can make it mandatory to us to replace fiat, it's still the betting public that will have a say on what currency will they use.
And we all know the gambling community is comfortable using Cryptocurrency, if it's not broken there's no need to fix it.
1267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 3) on: March 29, 2023, 02:37:34 PM

I'm not familiar with Nghitumbwa but based on his record his wins are through knockout and that's impressive. So even Casimero is already a champion and an experienced boxer, he can't be too complacent with his opponent because this can be a surprising boxer he will ever fight.

But i'm confident that Casimero won't let himself be defeated by an unknown boxer because if it does, as you've said, it's a big step for Nghitumbwa's career.

I saw only one fight of Nghitumbwa he is a perfect fighter for Casimero, always moving forward but with a weak defense, I doubt if Nghitumbwa can last the fight Casimero will look for a knockout he better has a strong punch because if not Casimero will go forward to knock him out, this is what I like about Casimero, one he tasted his opponents punches and he can take it he'll look for the sweet spot to land his vicious punches.
Of course, upset is possible here, but Casimero is always a hungry fighter because his eyes are focused on Inoue, to meet him in the ring.
1268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a casino ever run without the government's awareness? on: March 29, 2023, 12:05:25 PM
Is it possible to run a decentralized gambling platform? I know that all popular gambling platforms have no choice but to be transparent to the law to have a steady business running, but with the introduction of CBDC and yes a registered gambling platform has no choice but to accept CBDC too, and I don't trust this centralized currency, I believe CBDC will have the capability to monitor incoming and outgoing funds, so that is what makes me think if it's possible to run a decentralized gambling platform at all.

You can't, on offline casinos, it's not going to work and it can be considered a guerilla type of casino, on online casinos it can but it's not going to have the support of the majority of gamblers because even if we are supporters of decentralization and anonymity we want to play on casinos that are government compliant because online casinos are in the radar of authorities as a gateway of money laundering, and gamblers want to play at ease and they want to play in casinos that will have no issue with authorities.
So even if we don't like centralization is something gamblers are comfortable with here in the gambling industry.
1269  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to use crypto to miximize profits through sport betting. on: March 28, 2023, 11:12:02 PM
Do you want to maximize your profits while betting on sports but don't know where or how to start? Crypto is rapidly going traction as an investment opportunity, and now you can use digital currency while playing all type of sport betting
That's a very interesting title you create but unfortunately, your post does not have substance I thought its a tutorial
about maximizing profits from sports betting, its good to use Cryptocurrency but do not use all of your Cryptocurrency portfolios in the hope that you can double or triple your portfolio, even if you are good at analyzing your favorite sports, there's still no guaranty of your winning.
There should be an amount allocated for sports betting and it should not come from your portfolio, you will regret it later.
1270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Skill Based Slot Machines on: March 28, 2023, 01:18:10 PM
Casinos' online and offline profits are guaranteed with luck-based casinos compared to skill-based casinos, gamblers will be interested to play because it's new, but I doubt if the majority of casinos will integrate this skill-based slot it will cut their profits casinos make a lot of profit from their luck based games than their skill-based games which are sports betting, but let's see the technology is evolving if there are demands from the gambling community and casinos can find a way to make a profit we'll likely see this in online and offline casinos soon.
1271  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam duckdice.io on: March 27, 2023, 12:05:35 PM

Hello,

A quick glance at your case and it seems you've been flagged for arbitrage betting, where you've placed bets on multiple sport events which allowed you a edge over the system, thus the sports provider has cancelled your winning bets and the balance/deposits were returned.   Will try to get more information and get back here once I have an update.

Kirito89,
Duckdice Support.

This is the second time that you accused your player of arbitrage betting is it going to be like this when one of your players wins, if it's true that the player you accuse is guilty of arbitrage betting and it comes from your sports provider because they communicate it to you better post a screenshot of that communication.
Or let someone do a mediation to verify the accusation, or we will have a weekly complaint like this whenever one of your players wins.
1272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does your country tax your gambling winnings? on: March 27, 2023, 02:27:48 AM
I live in Australia and we have no taxes on all gambling winnings (lottery, hose racing, sports betting and casinos).
That's what some gamblers want to have in their own country tax free gambling winning so you can enjoy it all

Quote
I know the USA has gambling taxes and I think it's ridiculous.
It's also ridiculous here in our country, they are taxing 20% even if the winning is only $300

Quote
You are risking your own money and if you win you are penalised.
That's what the government is good at doing, taxing everything we enjoy, its something that will not change, all things can change but never government taxes.

1273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing looses Vs Finding closure: Any difference? on: March 26, 2023, 03:24:44 PM
I really need a clarification on this. Is chasing looses in gambling same as looking for closure because i recently read an article on reddit where the poster said that he will gamble untill he wins just to look for closure. I have been thinking about this for sometime now because closure has the same characteristics with chasing looses which is even when the gambler is loosing he will still be gambling just to recover all his looses.

That just means that he will gamble until he losses everything, he just makes up a word so people will understand, closure can be used in a relationship but never in gambling the guy is coining or inventing new words so those who are chasing their losses will just say I want to continue playing not to chase my losses but only for closure.
We all know excessive gamblers will find a way or say unusual words so they can get support on why they should continue gambling even if they are losing.
1274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about this? on: March 24, 2023, 03:08:17 PM
Let's focus on the story you provided, the pastor became one because he just want cash cows and he is not genuine on his mission he is what we might call a false prophet or wolf in a sheep's cloth, so when he won he does not need the church and he can enjoy life, the lesson here is to check your Pastor's motivation is becoming a servant of the Church his vocation, because if he is not, he will leave his congregation, when he has something to focus.

Quote
“I had to stop the church because I had got my ways of making money, until now, I have made a lot that I have made a lot that I never imagined I would ever get in my life.”

Regarding your question, it's not ethical for a pastor to gamble because he must set a good example to his congregation he is committing a big sin by gambling.

1275  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Decentralized Exchange ViteX is cool ! on: March 24, 2023, 02:30:03 PM
I'm surprised by how OP presented this exchange are you part of the team if you're not that's too much shilling and they should hire you as their advertising manager, you have taken up the job of their advertising manager.
These should be the posts of one of their team preferably the main developer because a mere user can only present based on his experienced and not the platform's goal roadmap and vision.
If you have contact with the team better ask them to open an announcement here so the community will ask questions that only developers of the platform can answer.
1276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: March 24, 2023, 01:01:03 PM
And they are still hyping this fight even if it is just a week away from it:

https://twitter.com/BOXINGFOTY/status/1636899331344330752

This is a supposedly video of Caleb Plant getting kicked out of a boxing gym in Las Vegas for not paying his gym fees. Not sure if this is real or what or just a promotional stunt for this upcoming fight. How can a professional boxer not pay for a gym? or maybe he has his own gym as well.  And it was said the Benavidez Sr is the one who posted this video and this is not recent.

And with this, they are not trending in Twitter hehehe.

What do you guys think of it?

The clip is not complete we don't know the real situation in that short video clip, of course, the guy can pay his gym fees, in fact, he can have his own boxing gym because of his earnings and that's not the way to treat a former champion it's like harassing him if he's not paying a fee you can file a complaint and not harass him.
They have their first face-off hours ago and they are trying to bully each other but hype or no hype this will be an action-packed fight.
We have a saying style makes a fight and both fighters are not afraid to slug it out and get hit to get a hit, the chances that one of them will get knockout is very high, and I have Caleb Plant knocking out Benavidez.
1277  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Duckdice.io they are silent and act very strangely without paying my funds on: March 24, 2023, 11:40:19 AM

You have received your balance in full, please do not proceed in oppening any new accounts with Duckdice.

OP Please confirm if you receive the balance in full since the representative did post the transaction id, it's the third party that blocked your account, and it is also the sports provider that marked your account as arbitrage bettor so the blame cannot be on Duckdice.
You're still lucky because other casinos will just keep your balance, Duckdice instead returns your balance if you think that you have been wrongly accused you can file for mediation with a third party, Askgamblers can be requested to mediate your case, but since it is the provider who marked it, your chances are low.
1278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: March 23, 2023, 11:54:12 PM

So what are your speculations over this USA elections. And I know that everybody has their own speculations and also wins and also loose. So let's see what will happen?

I'm sure Biden will still run since he is the incumbent and he is enjoying a good rating but not the kind of rating that will establish him as a strong favorite to win next year's election, but if he is going to be pitted against Trump, he will retain his position, the Republicans should choose the best possible candidate and groomed him as someone who can topple Biden, I would bet if we have the Republican's candidate, it is still a long way in the election and there are so many things that are going to happen before we have two candidates on the two popular parties in the US.
1279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the biggest problem you think AI can fix in gambling on: March 23, 2023, 10:22:46 PM

What else do you think a gambling casino can benefit from using AI technology?

Cheating and violations of the gamblers are the only ones I can think of, honestly, casino security measures are almost perfect because they can trace cheaters and violators we don't know much about their security measures but for a casino to operate smoothly they should have everything in place, using an AI to check if their players are also using AI on their sports betting analysis is also another thing.
Casinos have something to worry about if the technology can come out with a perfect AI to analyze the game perfectly, so they can utilize the help of AI to trace if AI will do great in predicting the outcomes.
1280  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: March 23, 2023, 03:04:26 PM

Those given data by the AI is the most ideal use for statistics analysis for sports betting because they can now easily get the data from the sources and the objective of the player is check and verify if there's a higher potential of winnings and what are the possible safe bets to prevent losses too much. In terms of how winning all of the games I guess the AI cannot make it because they have a different program and the gambling casino has their own way of system configuration with it so the chances of AI can predict the win will now lessen.

That's true it's for statistics only to come out with probability, if you're a sports bettor the data that the AI will provide is a big help for your own analysis and bet, but we will never come to a point where we can ask AI for exact result and proceed to bet on it, it's gambling you can win or you can lose but I doubt it can give a good winning percentage.

But it's going to be a big concern for the house if a new AI will come that can accurately predict an outcome on sports betting, and what if a new AI will come out to lay out a strategy to bet the house in a game of luck like Dice, nothing is impossible but I don't want that to happen.
