562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Telegram Casinos good or bad? on: November 10, 2023, 12:00:48 PM
So, the latest trend when it comes to crypto gambling is the new wave of Telegram Casinos . I'm not talking about those early bots where you could play simple blackjack games in a Telegram group; I'm referring to these new crypto casinos like TG Casino, Mega Dice, and Lucky Block. They've created tailor-made mobile casinos for the Telegram audience, allowing players to log in through their Telegram accounts and start playing instantly without the need for KYC.

What do you guys think about this new trend? Is it good or bad?

Only time can tell if this is good or bad, but with Telegram's reputation among Crypto investors many will have second thoughts about trying here this early, the platform needs to establish its reputation first, these platforms must first get good reviews from the top casino reviewers and the gambling community as well.

I have not tried any Telegram casinos yet and just like all the others I prefer to wait and see if this new trend will continue and become an established platform in the casino industry, the casino industry is wide and open and new platforms are welcome to join as long as they serve the interest of the gambling industry.
563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What impact does the BTC price have on your gambling habits? on: November 10, 2023, 08:30:13 AM
Everytime, the price pump I decrease my playing session once the price pumped, every sats counts for accumulators like me, you know in gambling there is no guarantee of making money you should only play with money that you can't afford to lose but this does not mean that I will stop playing I will continue to play so now instead of playing 3 to 4 times a week I only do it twice a week now.

Gambling takes a backseat and trading takes the main seat for me those coins or tokens that are not performing well in the market now that we are in a bull are traded to top coins specifically Bitcoin.
564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rodriguez Vs Edwards IBF and IBO WORLD FLYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP DEC 16 2023 on: November 09, 2023, 02:21:41 PM
It's contrasting style and power, but I see Rodriguez emerging here because of his power and his moves in the ring, checking the highlights of both fighters Rodriguez is the more relentless he is offensive guy who always goes for a knockout, while Edwards is a counter punching guy who loves to do showboating, but I don't think he can showboat against a fighter like Rodriguez.
Rodriguez will be the heavy favorite here because of his power, Edwards only chance is through a decision and I doubt he can pile up points against a fighter like Rodriguez.
565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Out of curiosity, how much you wagered recently? on: November 09, 2023, 01:25:03 PM

I saw people wagering a lot of money, but this guy took it to some higher levels... How can we compete in some wagering wars and competitions against players who wager so much? Do we even have a chance? Smiley

I don't think we can because we don't have the means compared to these guys who have enough money to wager like that you mentioned, I see to it that I don't compare how I wager it is not the mindset of a responsible, I prefer not to tell or announce my wager because I don't want people to judge me how I play and how much money I've used to wager.
If a friend told me how much they wagered already they would tempt me to a challenge who can wager the more, It is less stressful if people do not know how much you wager, whether I wager huge or small the most important is you are satisfied on your gambling experience.
566  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tataas Kaya Ang Awareness Ng MgaTao Sa Bitcoin Kung May Mga Billboard on: November 09, 2023, 09:44:36 AM
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Andre August - December 15th in Florida on: November 09, 2023, 07:36:08 AM

Paul is making boxing a joke, no one ever heard of Andre August til he announced this fight. For all we know he just paid this guy in advance $50.000 to sleep whenever he do his signature move.
While I agree that both the Paul's are giving boxing a bad name, someone must be enjoying watching cause they do ok in the PPV market. It's really no different than McGregor and Mayweather, people found a way to get paid with some popular figures going at it. The only way it stops is if people stop paying for it, but thats not going to happen.

I don’t think Jake Paul is giving boxing a bad name. He’s putting in the work and matching up against better and better opponents. I won’t be surprised in another couple years when he gets a legitimate shot at a title.

Robert Garcia the boxing trainer stated that you can have a lot of wins and a title shot if you have a good promoter and you pick your fights, you can have a title shot and that's possible with Jake Paul, after his loss against Fury he seems to cherry-pick fights now, he loses his momentum because of that loss and he cannot afford to have a second loss, Jake Paul will lose his reputation and his PPV appeals.

Quote
I looked up his opponent as well. Dude seems like a legit boxer. While I’d prefer to see Jake beat up celebrities, you can’t hate on him for doing his best to have a legitimate professional boxing career.
He is a legit boxer but with bad records, not a record that is main event-worthy it's obvious who's going to win here, good pick for Jake Paul and a risky fight too if Andre pulls up an upset.
568  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Help us to remove Freewallet scam wallets from AppStore on: November 08, 2023, 04:11:40 PM

Therefore, it may be a good idea to leave a one-star rating and provide a brief warning about these applications. Suppose the administrators and the stores' teams do not respond to the reports of the removal of these apps from their stores. In that case, low ratings and negative reviews will serve as a preventive measure for many people unaware of the true nature of this scam wallet, which has caused many users to lose their funds.

YYes, that also might help. But I was checking ssome ratings today and found that they add many fake positivve reviews. those reviews even look unnatural like "Oh, it's such a great wallet' (I can't imagine someone wasting his time to write complimentary words just for usual crypto wallet). And those fake reviews help to improve rating.

They are well-funded and they are paying people to give fake positive reviews and those true negative reviews were buried, so for every negative review, they pay 5 people to give fake positive reviews.

I think presenting a legal and documented experience of people to the Appstore management will help them decide if they will remove Freewallet on AppStore, it's a big moral victory for the victims if they manage to take down Freewallet on that popular application store.
569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: November 08, 2023, 03:21:55 PM
Let us discuss in this thread the things one should completely avoid while gambling. Here are some suggestions according to me :

1) Do not gamble in work area : It is not ethical to do so. Your employer is paying you to work for him for certain hours. If you waste these hours for gambling, it is a bad habit.

That's a grave offense you will get fired or you will have no chance for a promotion because you will lose your reputation, gambling on work is like stealing when you're at work the management expects you to give your undivided attention and full effort and they expect you to abide all their policy, not only you can lose your job, if they want to retain you, you lose your chances to get promoted on higher positions especially on something that deals with finances

Quote
2) Do not take loan to gamble: Some young guys are so irresponsible that they take loans to gamble. It is a very bad move and can even produce life threatening conditions in future when loan recover agents knock your door.
This will break your finances it's like throwing away money because in gambling there's no guarantee of profit and loans are only for setting up a business or you have an emergency and you need urgent money, and if you used it for gambling it could be gone in just one sitting, so as much as possible avoid taking a loan for gambling.
570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Meta's no ads subscription and gambling disorder. on: November 08, 2023, 01:51:12 PM
Before now it was impossible to avoid advertisment on Facebook and Instagram. This has made it impossible for gamblers to avoid advert even when they have used control the ads options. Now Meta is giving users in the EU, EEA and Switzerland the choice to pay a monthly subscription to use Facebook and Instagram  without any ads. This special account can come for as high as €9.99/month on the web or €12.99/month on iOS and Android. Users can get this account this month and enjoy the package

What are your thoughts?

That €9.99/month means a lot for someone who lives in a third-world country like me, it's much easier to ignore these ads than pay €9.99/month it is not yet implemented in my country but I doubt many will subscribe to this plan, I'm good at annoying ads so I have no use of that plan the people who will likely avail of this
besides we have the option to prefer what kinds of ads we want to see if we don't want gambling ads to show up there's also a preference to hide it.
I believe the first social media platform that implemented this was Youtube, by paying a monthly plan you can watch videos without those annoying ads.
571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What conditions might cause you to stop gambling? on: November 08, 2023, 10:01:21 AM

But let's imagine, what kind of conditions might make you stop gambling?

If you have a condition that will make you stop gambling then you are not in control of your behavior as a gambler, a responsible gambler who just treats gambling for entertainment can stop gambling anytime he wants with no condition attached, only those habitual gamblers will set a condition when he should stop gambling.

In fact chronic gamblers are good at making promises and setting conditions on when they should stop but always fail to keep the promise or the condition they set, so if you're a responsible gambler you can stop anytime without the need to set up a condition, you can anytime under any circumstances.
572  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tarot cards gamit pang predict ng market? on: November 07, 2023, 03:40:45 PM
573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For Newbies Interested in Gambling on: November 07, 2023, 02:51:23 PM

Note that the most important thing in gambling is bankroll management and finding value. What messes people up is poor bankroll management.  Personally, I limit my bets to no more than 10 percent of my bankroll per day, I stop once that limit is reached.  Also don't get discouraged if variance comes in and you have a losing day, week, month, etc. Value is value and it will catch up.  Goodluck on your gambling journey.

Besides effectively managing bankroll, mindset, and control of the urge to extend are very important is also important, I remember that I always extend my session and keep losing my bankroll, because I'm having a hard time managing my urge to stop gambling, especially on weekends when you can play the whole night because of rest days.
This is the start of addiction when you cannot control your urge and you don't know how and when to stop, you will find yourself deep into addiction and this is because of keep extending your time and not controlling the urge to continue.
574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice for new comers on: November 07, 2023, 11:02:12 AM
What advice do you have for newcomers diving into the world of crypto gambling? Any lessons you learned the hard way that you'd like to share?

Don't bite more than what you can chew, in gambling This means only play what you can afford to lose, it's a trap that you must try to avoid, if you can only afford to play and lose $50 in one session don't pour it all in one roll, break it down with the intention of you're only playing to have fun, an hour or two spent is already good, in that one or two hour you have already satisfy your entertainment cravings.

My second advice and also very important is to read the Terms of Service of the casino you're playing, you don't want your funds or winnings confiscated because you violated one of their terms, so check every FAQ and TOS of every casino you're playing, in case you win there will be no obstacles in withdrawing your winnings.
575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Believe That Reading People's Bad Experience Will Help You on: November 06, 2023, 03:57:26 PM
If you can understand and you can remember and you're not someone who easily loses control then it can help, it's too risky and bad for your well-being to experience all the bad things in gambling, it will hurt your pocket, your loved ones, and your emotions.
It pays to listen to someone's story if you're willing to listen, understand, and be more concerned about your attitude toward gambling.

We need to understand the many risks attached to gambling and it is only possible if our mindset on gambling is just to enjoy it and not make a living out of it, you will be ruined if you listen to people who brag that they've earned or won huge in gambling, these people do not tell the whole story about their results.
576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the best advice or should I just let him on: November 06, 2023, 02:40:10 PM

Should I give him advice on how to manage his gambling activities or I just let him since he is just enjoying his senior years and doing things that he missed doing when he was still young? and what's the right approach, we all know senior citizens are sensitive to criticism.

Senior citizens are like that, they do the things they missed doing and enjoyed doing when they were young, and most of the time they overdo them, in the case of your neighbor this is not something new, since there's nothing to worry about anymore, there's money in, his children are all professionals so since he has nothing to worry about where to get the money he just pours everything and live life to the fullest.

We all going to get old and we want to remember the things that we enjoy and want to keep doing them until we are old enough to do this, so I recommend to OP to just guide him, the most important thing is he will not neglect his health and his health will not deteriorate because of gambling.
577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should Casinos Sponsor Sites That Deals With Gambling Addiction on: November 06, 2023, 01:36:16 PM
For me yes they should allocate even small funds to these platforms that fight addiction to gambling, it is a worthwhile cause, and it will give the gambling industry a good picture that they care for their players, and it's not their intention that gamblers will go astray and become addicted to gambling, the proof is on their terms giving gamblers a warning that they should not take gambling as a way to make money.

But not all casinos are the same some will support and some will not as they already remind their players that the platform is an entertainment portal and not a source of income, and they have a system to stop players from abusing themselves, through the gamblers' initiatives through self-exclusion.

578  Economy / Gambling / Re: QuitGamble.com - Free Help for Problem Gamblers on: November 05, 2023, 02:59:02 PM
I changed course from being a casino affiliate to working with problem gambling

Can I ask what made you make that change?

You can find the answer here

https://quitgamble.com/about-us/ From this page you can read the mission, the vision, and  Anders Bergman
Founder of QuitGamble.com, I think they should make the About Us page visible on their homepage, people will ask for information about the site and its founder and it should be easily accessible.
579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have your own casino. on: November 05, 2023, 12:02:41 PM
How many of you have dreamed about having your casino? Be the house and play the always-win game.
There's no harm in dreaming of owning a casino, that's every gambler's dream but with all the work, the cost, and the knowledge to know I can't figure out how can I do it, I don't even have $20k the minimum to run a licensed casino

Quote
In the past years it was different, people who could build a provably fair engine were able to have their own casino, but now we are playing with new rules, the casinos must have a license and games providers, and that's what people are looking for, and i don't say is something bad, the gambling experience on stake compared with the gambling experience on satoshi bones is enormous.
Times have changed the competition is very high, and millionaires, big organizations and groups are your competitors, It is hard to come out with a casino that can compete with the big names, but we never know maybe I will meet an executive of one big casino and invited me to get in.

Quote
But getting back into the topic, i would like to read some nice histories from the community, those who only dream about their own casino, and those who make their dreams come true.

We can only come out with casino review sites and do affiliates but we never know if there is one here who is part of the casino, not those who already own casinos
but who started as a gambler?
580  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betfury will not pay the promised bounty for bugs found on: November 04, 2023, 12:57:29 PM
Being a bug bounty hunter for gambling casinos is like being a bounty hunter on this forum, some casinos can't be trusted to keep to their word, same way some projects end up not paying their bounty hunters after they have spent weeks promoting the project on the forum and outside the forum.

Sorry to say this though, but with all the complains I've read online about companies refusing to pay bug bounty hunters what they promise to pay, if I was or were a bug bounty hunter, I did first exploit whatever bug I came across on any casino, I will do this and then after, contact the casino about it, I will decide how much to return back to them, and keep the rest of the funds as my bug bounty payment.

You have a point bug bounty hunters will choose to do this if platforms like Betfury treat bug bounty hunters like this, yes they offer very high rewards to entice bug bounty hunters but when it comes to payment they are delaying it, some bug bounty hunters are already doing this, because they want to make sure first that they are getting something on their effort.
It is unethical for bug bounty hunters but if they keep doing this they will resort to this, finding bugs is not easy it takes knowledge, skills, and effort to find bugs so they should be rewarded, the platform will benefit if the bugs are fixed.
