661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Relying on gamble wins is dangerous to mental health on: October 11, 2023, 06:49:12 AM
I met a friend who used about $1 to play gamble to win about $2500 in a game of different matches, all the early games went well but the last game cut which made him loose the game.  This lose made him to be sick for 3 days, the reason for his reaction was not because of the money he used to bet but he felt so bad because he has already put all his hope on the money he would have won.

People needs not to put all their hope in games they are not sure of winning, because relying on it can be very dangerous to the mental health. Play gamble and remove your mind from the money that will be gained till it is achieved.

This is the problem when you win a big amount of money and you think that you have luck or you are good at gambling because eventually the house edge and bad luck will play their part and you will be caught by surprise, not understanding what gambling is and taking it seriously is dangerous, your experience is not isolated so many newbie gamblers experience this.

Gambling is dangerous for gambler's mental health if their approach is wrong, gambling should be for entertainment only not a way to make money, this has been discussed thousands of times but so many players ignore this fact because the mindset changes when you start winning and realization happens when you lose everything.

663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]Adrien Broner vs Chris Howard (Welterweight) Nov 4. . on: October 10, 2023, 01:07:29 PM
Adrien Broner's career and skill are going down his last two fights come from two unpopular fighters he is slow he is just a shadow of his former self when lording in the welterweight division, I don't think he can fight top-level fighters like Spence he is just here for the money, he should have retired after the Pacquaio fight I don't think he can get his old glory back it's only a matter of time before someone knocks him out to retirement and it could be Chris Howard but I doubt, Howard is another cherry-picked fight based on his record.
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: October 10, 2023, 07:59:29 AM
How will you feel if someone you know or just a friend of a friend walk up to you and ask you to finance them in gambling in exchange for a portion of their winnings? Does this even make any sense?
Even if he shows his winning and success rate I couldn't because I'm not a financier I have a hard time financing my own gambling session so I cannot do that to other gamblers.

Quote
Because the only place this makes a bit sense is the skills base niche like forex trading or crypto trading, how can gambling/gambler be financed?
If the success rate is good, and you are guaranteed to make a return on your money and you have the money then it is possible there are actually loan sharks at casinos that will give you money in exchange for a contract or car, or even your watch.

Quote
Someone explained this to me, and I believe he is already a victim because to me it doesn't make sense, I believe he is been used because he lacks knowledge about gambling, do you think my judgment is wrong?

Gambling has no guarantee you should explain that your friend should not lend to people who are into gambling because there's a possibility that he cannot get his money back because gamblers are looking for money to gamble they do not like paying people unless they win a big amount.

666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: October 09, 2023, 03:46:50 PM
In your opinion, what should we do if we have lost a lot of money on gambling?

I'll take a long off so I can forget the huge money that I lose if you continue to play, you will just tempted to try to recover your losses because it's still fresh in your mind, that is in casinos you can restrict yourself if you're losing a lot of money, its the best step you can take to avoid chasing your losses and losing more money

Quote
Do we keep gambling to win so we can cover up previous losses? or stop and work normally and leave gambling? Or do you have other suggestions?

It's a big no and its very risky chasing losses is high risk because you cannot think clearly about your bets and you are forcing and pressuring yourself to win which is not good, in trying to be good you lose your control, and eventually your money.
667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Winning Wisely: Strategies to Protect Your Bankroll on: October 09, 2023, 01:33:38 PM
Not really new, we all know these things but I doubt if OP memorizes this and put it in his heart while playing, everything goes to the window when you are carried away playing, let's be honest with ourselves we cannot implement every rule we laid out that we consider are safe for us to be responsible gambler we can only give effort until our effort accumulate and we become a responsible gambler.

But even if we think we are responsible gamblers there will always be a time that we lose control of ourselves, I'm not perfect and I don't think anyone can claim he is a perfect gambler, we can only try our best, and hope our best is enough to control our impulsiveness.
668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: October 09, 2023, 06:26:58 AM
anyone deposited very less amount and luckily won a big jackpot like a 100x or 500x or 1000x of base bet and withdrawn without kyc or without facing any problem from the platform?

if yes, how much was that amount? and what was the casino?

i seen many people complaining about they don't give big wins easily or just don't give by making unanswerable queries like very hard KYC, freezing accounts, etc. this problem is very common with trusted casino's also/

do anyone withdrawn successfully the winning amount and if yes what was the process, it was seamless or you need to pass a hard kyc?
There are very few casinos and sportsbooks who'd to that. That being said, there'll always be an upper limit on most crypto sportsbooks that would allow withdrawal until that amount, without any issues with KYC. If you cross that upper limit, you will have to give some sort of identity verification. The next step, it the amount is massive, you'll also have to submit address proofs etc to them.

Players should always be ready for this, even if they're playing a small amount there's always a possibility of a small bet to hit 1000x, that's the beauty and unpredictability of playing in a casino you just don't know what's the next that is going to happen.
You should be ready to do KYC and be sure that you will pass the KYC, or else you will forfeit your earnings most of all you should only play at a casino with a good reputation so even if you win a huge amount you are not doubt that you will not get your winning.
We seldom win in gambling so if we are going to win much more a big amount we have to be sure that we'll get it.
669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: David Benavidez Vs Demetrius Andrade Interim WBC Super Middleweight title fight on: October 08, 2023, 02:33:55 PM
I am in awe of Benavidez's rapid punches they are crisp and hard for a big man, and he loves to go inside and impose his size and weight, Benavidez suffers his first knockdown against Gavril but it was a flash knockdown and he's not even hurt, there's no fighter that has dominated Benavidez he always dominate all his fight and I don't see why he cannot dominate Andrade.
I like to see a Canelo - Banvidez match than a Canelo - Andrade fight and I'm sure Benavidez will not fail the boxing community who expect him to knock out Andrade.
670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tszyu vs. Mendoza Confirmed for WBO Title Showdown on October 15th on: October 08, 2023, 11:32:42 AM

It's official, we've got a big fight coming up this month. Tim Tszyu currently boasts a clean record with 23 wins (17 by KO). Do you think Mendoza is strong enough to beat the current champion?

He is capable of beating Tszyu remember he is the one who handed Fundora his first by technical knockout, Mendoza has fast hands good movement in the ring, and packs power on both hands, this is not an easy fight for Tszyu and this could be his biggest challenge to date/

But I'm pretty sure Tszyu can handle the pressure here and will eventually win by a split decision he is more technical and more powerful between the two, this is an exciting fight and should not be missed.
671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes just flex it ( luck is all you need) on: October 08, 2023, 02:29:50 AM

The sad truth about this whole gambling stuff for me well I don't know for other but with the little experience I have gotten is that no one can be too certain and can be too safe or cautious when it comes to gambling and this is proven here in a betslip I won recently that just got me thinking of how i never even intended to forecast the odds or whatsoever, I just actually just FLEXED IT and the game came through for me which was fun because I played it for fun.

So sometimes don't think just flex it and let luck do it part friends.

It is a game of luck and you should not expect too much of it, as much as you would like to play to make money it just doesn't work on gambling, money comes unexpectedly when you least expect it on gambling, so it better to leave everything on luck when it comes to luck based games if you're lucky you're going to hit the jackpot there's too much stress forcing your way to make money.
Only newbies expect to make money from luck-based games, you can try sports betting if you want to challenge yourself in analysis but a large percentage of it is still on based on luck.
672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subriel Matias vs. S. Ergashev (IBF jr. welterweight title) Nov. 4: Las Vegas on: October 07, 2023, 05:30:28 PM
I understand why Matias is the favorite; being the champion, he should gain respect from sportsbooks. But can his 100% win rate continue by defeating the challenger?

Based on my comparison of their style Ergashev has the edge, for me, he is fast with good ring movement but it's still 50/50 his being a champion is not a guarantee that Matias has the edge he could be lucky, and beat Ergashev it depends on who can hit first, both fighters looks even on paper Matias is good because of his 100% knock out rate but it will always go down on who he beat.
It's a very interesting match-up whenever two fighters with good records face in the ring I just hope they will live up to our expectations.
673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They know the truth but they don't want to accept it, publicly on: October 07, 2023, 04:47:34 PM

Some people are trying to hide behind the cotton, stating that they are gambling for the fun of it, I will like to ask them this question if I can get them to answer.

Is there any spirit of goodwill when you intentionally give your money away in order to just have a good time gambling?
You don't do that there's no challenge just giving away your money you still hope that you'll win and if not you accept your losses and move on that's how gambling should be treated.

Quote
Money is still the real reasons why we gamble, been addicted or not, mutual greed or not, all gambling is done to make more money or get some form of reward in the end.

We are hoping to make money of course but we are not going to chase money that we've lost because we expect to win, the key here is acceptance if you can not accept the results then you have a problem, play for fun and hope to make money not play to make money and hope to have fun its two different things.
674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Lady Cried After Losing to Sports Bet. Gambling is Not Your Mate. on: October 06, 2023, 04:53:05 PM

This is the first time I am seeing a lady playing gamble in the public domain. Though I have been hearing but not seen. Well she should take heart, the matter how she cried the money will not come back again. What do you say about the Lady? Did she do well in the public? As I said, gambling is not your mate, take precautions.

Obviously, the girl is not used to playing and he has no control she may have a good run, and because of her greediness he best everything she has and lose everything that is the most likely scenario I can think of.

I have a lot of friends who almost lose their minds because they have a wrong conception about gambling, they are not there to enjoy and have fun, their mindset is how to beat the house which is impossible, and losing everything is the result that is why she is so disappointed with what happened to her, if she got good support from her love ones she will overcome this.
675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery with a twist on: October 06, 2023, 04:11:13 PM

I see what you mean. Most people are not technical enough to see that the smart contract is not rigged. Maybe if it got audited by some reputable company, they would trust?
If it's a smart contract it should be audited I have participated in a project that did a rugpull and it has become a big lesson for me and for many of us here not to trust smart contract-based platform that is not fully audited.

Quote
But anyway another concern that I have, let's say in the 10 minute round, there was 5 participant, but a user deposited 4 times from different addresses, so he will have higher chance to win the deposit of that 1 user? Or maybe actually he takes more risk because if that 1 user is in the winner list, he could be screwed. But since the distribution is not equal, it's fine. I am thinking about this logic.

If you're serious about creating a game like that you should do a lot of testing for possible loopholes, and you need to spend money for marketing and its quite costly.
676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquaio vs Mayweather 2 rematch on: October 06, 2023, 10:09:37 AM

There's a rumors spreading that Pacquiao vs Mayweather 2 rematch will set to happen on May 2024 https://asianmma.com/manny-pacquiao-rumoured-to-be-rematching-floyd-mayweather-in-2024/

This is just rumors and it will still be that way until both parties or any one of them announces that they are going to be a rematch but it's likely to be an exhibition match because both fighters are not active and there's a possibility that no boxing organizations will sanction the fight, if its an exhibition fight both fighters should announce it now as both fighters are not getting any younger the boxing community do not want to see fighters trying to display their old forms and its likely going to happen if they are on their 50s they will be limited in rounds and minutes if they fight much later.

Quote
Pacquaio is always ready to fight Mayweather has been so evasive for the past couple of years. Do you think that this match up would really happen?
Of course, Pacquiao wants to get even, so Pacquiao is the one who is likely more interested for the rematch to happen.
677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pillow Fight League on: October 05, 2023, 12:37:42 PM
There's no challenge on this, these encounters are done at parties so it's a fun game but I don't think it deserves to get in, on Sportsbook, I could not imagine myself betting on a pillow fight, not all events can be included in the sportsbook, sports that deserve to be on sportsbook are those who offer challenges and excellence in performance, you cannot expect that on pillow fights.
If Sportsbook will include this, then Trip to Jerusalem could be the to be included in Sportsbook.
678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subriel Matias vs. S. Ergashev (IBF jr. welterweight title) Nov. 4: Las Vegas on: October 05, 2023, 09:45:01 AM

I can't determine the ranking of the champions, but among the four, I think Matias is the least popular. Anyway, it's still a great fight since it's a championship fight. Hopefully, next time, we will see a unification fight.

I have seen all the other Jr. welterweight champion fights but not Subriel Matias I have to check Youtube to check his highlights and how he fought, he is a decent fighter with good power but not really sleek movers like the three other champions he has not fought fighters that are popular compared to what these three other champions have fought.
A fighter with all his fights coming from knockouts deserves respect but this Shohjahon Ergashev is something else I like his movement I also checked his highlights and he has shown more power with his punches he can knock opponents with one punch.

This is going to be a very good fight It is always good to see two undefeated fighters fighting to retain their 0 and their reputation.
679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will the Gambling Sportybet (Company) Refund the Money? on: October 05, 2023, 07:21:31 AM
This 16 years Nigerian citizen used his school fees to play bet and was planning to win big amount so he can use it to solve other problems but along the line he loss everything and he went to the contact of the company and begged them to refund the money back to him because it is his school fees.
We don't know if the player is truly 16 years old. Anyone could claim he's 16 and can easily falsify his information online. Also, the gambling platform explicitly states in its terms and conditions that players must be 18 and above, and there's no way they would have known that he's underage. Being under age does not qualify him for a refund or any kind of pity, if he had won the bet, would he had returned the money that he was underage? Hell no! His school fees is gone and what happened should serve as a life lesson.

I agree the terms of service have no exception if they allow the minor for a refund there will be cheaters who will create a fake claim with fake evidence to present to the casino to ask for a refund, you cannot cheat the casino when it comes to their terms of service they are strict on it and they expect all players to abide by their terms, even if the child bring it on the court, the court will just deny the plea and will favor the casino for upholding their terms.
If the casino knows that a minor is playing on their platform they have the right to confiscate his funds as stated in their terms, this is to discourage minors from playing in casinos online and offline.
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Ever Made Such Mistake Before, But Won still? on: October 04, 2023, 02:05:35 PM

So by this experience, I am moved to ask you guys if any one of you have ever made such a mistake, but it turned out in your favor? Please share with us.

Yes many times online and offline I'm the guy who always changes his mind before putting on bets, on online it's a crash game I made the mistake of setting it on 10x times the profit when it should be 5 times and on color games I made up my mind to pick the white one but made an error of picking up the green but I end up winning 3 times the profit as all dice turned white in the roll.

It is still luck sometimes something we least expect to happen happens, it just proved that there's really no guarantee your mistake could be right or what you think is right will turn into a mistake, gambling is really a game of unpredictability.
