1261  Economy / Economics / Re: More Money Problems that Bitcoin Solves on: January 20, 2023, 05:29:56 PM
You do know that human traits and characteristics mostly prefer to take care of themselves first before anyone else. Some people serve the people, but the majority don't. It's just that in the world now, and I hope it changes. It's best to start with ourselves, and hopefully, others will follow.

So if we are interested in BTC being used, be an example to others.
1262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rejecting odd provider's limit on: January 20, 2023, 11:17:20 AM
This doesn’t make sense to me because why would another company have a piece of information about a specific individual that is just plain normal or just your average player? Unless someone is blacklisted unless, it is blacklisted anywhere. Then possibly, they have a blocked list of users that probably automatically trigger, notify the company, and then start from there.
1263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today is Lightning Network's 7th Birthday on: January 19, 2023, 03:01:13 PM
Belated Happy Birthday LN~!

What are your favorite things about the lightning network? Mine are the following:
  • Better Privacy - with the Onion Routing
  • Lower Fees
  • Micropayments and Scalability
1264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Found a nice pubkey collision on: January 19, 2023, 07:21:09 AM
That is only with the pubkey right? This would be fine since it's pub keys.

It's a nice find too. Is this the first time ever?
1265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Genesis Bankrupt, Impact on BTC? on: January 19, 2023, 06:19:34 AM
I wasn't able to use Genesis as well, but the fact that they are getting ready for filing would significantly impact the people invested and using their service. I don't think the effect is too much because they are not like FTX, which is very well known, but there would be a significant bump IMO. I believe that you should be able to take advantage of this short-term news(not investment advice) that probably many people might be shilling.
1266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is ok to sell your Bitcoin. on: January 18, 2023, 03:23:25 PM
Everything you have mentioned and asked for has been answered many times in different threads. So you need to search for it. Well, for sure, there are other answers because of different perspectives of people and the different statuses that we have with different people, so they would react differently with how they will use their BTC if they have any.

- People are pretty imitators or copycats. Sometimes they are also peer pressured to do something, which could be why they HODL.
- People HODL because they don't need or don't want to follow the market prices and believe they would have their ROI in the long term.
- I'm HODLing because I believe in BTC and how I'm going to survive is that I make sure I have my finances in check. Understand and know where your money is going, and you can sense what you should do with your money. Hence you would be safe with bear markets.

I would still want to give my opinion on this. It's just how I see this thread.
1267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 10 Biggest U.S Lottery Jackpots Ever...(Until Now) on: January 18, 2023, 02:00:32 AM
Lottery is definitely something that would be impossible to win at unless you are super lucky and just the favors are with you. So I'm happy for those winners of the lottery but they need to know what they are going to do with that money so that it will not consume them. That's definitely a lot of money and not easy to handle with.

I remember trying out a crypto lottery. The website is https://bitplay.club/

My highest win there was just getting my money back to the ticket. I didn't win a huge amount and definitely not a great thing to do since the guarantee is minuscule, so I don't expect with it too much. It's a just for fun thing.
1268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I turned over $1.344M with Sportsbet.com - https://imgur.com/a/gFB14gl on: January 17, 2023, 06:37:42 PM
I think you will be unable to convince them if you don't do anything about it. It's their loss if they will not make you stay with bonuses. Do they have that promotion anyway? And does it happen to other users as well?
1269  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can you transfer large amounts of BTC using Lightning Network on: January 17, 2023, 02:10:24 PM
I remember reading someone's post about using the lightning network, and he lost 4 BTC IIRC due to some transaction, and he lost everything. Not sure if he had recovered it but I know it's going to be a challenge.

The company that is claiming they are going to send the bitcoin is stating that I need to transfer 0.598647 BTC in order to receive 12.4 BTC.  They are using Lightning Network.  This is what they have stated:

"Required Minimum Hash Power on Reflection ID: 0.598647 BTC"

They say once I pay the 0.598647 BTC I will receive the 12.4 BTC and that the 0.598647 BTC will be refunded.  I have no idea what they mean by "Hash Power on Reflection ID" and why the fee is so large.
It's obvious that it's a scam tactic. Be careful on things that you are going to spend time on. Sometimes they even want you to register in a bogus site and make it seem that you have the money but in reality, they are just waiting for you to deposit and poof, your money is bye-bye.
1270  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] Betnomi.com Review Campaign | 0.001 BTC/Review on: January 17, 2023, 02:05:33 PM
Betnomi Review

I want to consider different factors when reviewing gambling sites. The critical factors for me are the following.
  • Licensing Information
  • Games Available
  • Website Security Measures
  • Customer Service Support

Licensing Information
- In the bottom of the site, it's indicated that they have a master license; the information is seen below.
Betnomi.com is operated by Nomi N.V.
(Registered address, Abraham de Veerstraat 9, Willemstad, Curacao). Licensed and regulated under the Master License number 365/JAZ.

Unlike on other websites, there is no icon to check the actual license.

Games Available
- They have a lot of games that a lot of gamblers would like and there are different types
  • Casino - Slot games from different game providers like Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, Booming Games, etc
  • Live Casino - Baccarat, Blackjack, Keno, etc.
  • Games - Dice, Blast, Striker, Plinko, etc.
  • Live Sport - Actual matches being played
  • Sports - Sports betting
  • E-sport - I like how they separated this from sports so that it's easy to check and be organized

They have significant games that give great payouts based on, and they also have bonuses and promotions for different games

Website Security Measures

Upon checking the about us, I can't see the ISO/IEC XXXXX:20XX of anything in the general terms and conditions. They should update that.
https://betnomi.com/about
https://betnomi.com/terms

Customer Service Support
- They have 24/7 support. That makes me feel at ease and the assurance that they can address any issue I might have regarding their site. Knowing that they cater to different customers all over the word, it's good to have this type of service.

1271  Other / Archival / Re: Mass adoption: Naming my child bitcoin on: January 17, 2023, 09:57:45 AM
This is the first time I read a post about naming their offspring Bitcoin. I know there are a lot of BTC maximalists that would do the following
  • Getting Tattoos about BTC
  • Traveling to BTC-adapted places
  • Collecting BTC memorabilia
  • Dressing up as BTC on halloween

You could do those things, but naming someone would be different. Imagine the future of your child. It's not a good idea, but I hope you do what you feel is best. It's still up to you.
1272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of stake is bad and why bitcoin is the only crypto I would trust on: January 16, 2023, 07:46:57 AM
Did you experience something recently to hate and make it your mission to defame ETH?

I hope you have researched a lot to back your claim because, from what I see, you are hurt and probably invested a lot in a project that makes you hate the technology but not the people who have planned the scams, etc.
1273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana takes back top 10 position on: January 16, 2023, 02:34:35 AM
Could you do it now, OP? Did you buy SOL already to continue and possibly HODL it? It is one of the coins you could profit from, especially if you are talking about NFTs and some projects that use it. It will still do well in the long run.

It's good to practice getting interested in projects even if it has low value or went low. That's the sale that will be worth it in the long run.

As one of the high-quality projects, I am very optimistic about SOLONA, which solves the scalability of the blockchain. Although there may be some bugs, I firmly believe that his future is bright. The silence of the bear market is not indicative of the future. I hope that in 2023, it will bring me good income, after all, I have persisted for a long time.
What the hell is SOLONA? Is that a new token? Shocked
1274  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the key to your success investing in bitcoin.. on: January 15, 2023, 02:11:11 PM
I think the key to successful investing in bitcoin is knowing that bitcoin is worth more than you think it is. Imagine believing it is worth $100,000 and you selling it for $20,000 is a huge setback. You would feel dumb and sad and probably regret that you have sold it in the first place, so it’s better that you see it as more valuable than it is now so you wouldn’t have to sell it. It’s just like how some collectors profit as well.
1275  Economy / Speculation / Re: Starting to Think The Bottom May Be Close? on: January 15, 2023, 07:17:49 AM
With everything that is happening. We are probably at the point where it’s tough to predict because there are a lot of factors all over the world that could affect the current pricing of bitcoin. I think it has always been like this, knowing that those big players that are known, like the big exchanges, Binance, could be detrimental if something were to happen, like with FTX.

If no significant events come, I think we are at the bottom, and it’s good to accumulate more. That’s the optimist in me.
1276  Other / Off-topic / Re: My Journey with Type-2 Diabetes on: January 14, 2023, 07:38:42 PM
Wow, thanks for sharing your experience. It must have been hard for you to hear that news and that it would change your life forever. I think the different ways that you can get your blood sugar at an average level are the following:
  • Good diet
  • Regular exercise
  • Medications that are prescribed

I know your experience with metformin isn't good; you should still have it for emergencies. Probably an occasion that you will eat something sweet. But this can easily be solved with control, so it's really up to you.

The best way to check progress is by monitoring blood sugar levels regularly. That will be helpful to check with your treatments if it's working with medicine, diet, and exercise.
1277  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: January 14, 2023, 06:18:47 AM
I believe what is essential is that you are going to continue head-on with your goal and what you have set in your life so that you can continue and maybe do whatever you can to be successful. It may come from different aspects, perhaps a side job or a side hustle, or just plain business and hope you can handle the problems your way.

You can never really say for sure what’s going to happen, but it’s important to be prepared.
1278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you stacking up on? on: January 14, 2023, 05:33:49 AM
Still stocking up on BTC, and I am eyeing on some P2E games like Illuvium. So probably going to be ILV. I think it can have a potential in the long run and I hope they would be able to deliver to their promise give us a very good AAA game. This is not an investment advice
1279  Economy / Speculation / Re: what caused bitcoin to go up this january 2023 on: January 14, 2023, 02:45:36 AM
If we were to consider multiple factors like
  • Mainstream Adoption
  • Institutional Investments
  • Limited supply of BTC
  • Inflation

We can conclude that there's a drive in demand for making more money with the stored value type of thing that Bitcoin offers. With all the news surrounding the crypto scene, like the FTX recovery of funds and other mainstream media sources, the drive-in price is expected, TBH.

Just continue DCA-ing BTC, and you will be okay.
1280  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Multi-asset mode or single asset mode on: January 13, 2023, 12:42:08 PM
Multi-asset mode is a bit advanced, but the risk you will have will lessen since you will share in a different asset and diversify the positions. I think this is best if you are trading in the long-term or with a more extended timeframe in mind. Like a HODL position, this will make you better capitalize on your capital.
