1281  Local / India / Re: Did anyone viewed the Youtube video on G20: Crytpo Ban by Kashif Raza? on: March 02, 2023, 11:07:50 AM
But we surely will be seeing crypto trading being accepted and taxation on income from crypto which is already present in India.
May be there will be a consensus on how much taxation would be implemented on it and few policies that G20 will bring out together.
All in all things will be baselined for cryptocurrencies which is a good sign since a vast majority of people are still concerned over its legalization.

What I am more excited about is a G20 framework on tax. India has already implemented a heft tax policy but many G20 member countries are not charging such hefty taxes on crypto earnings. By October this year, we should be able to hear some positive news on this topic. EU has been pretty much progressive in allowing crypto as an alternate pay mode in local stores and e-commerce websites. If India allows the same then it would be a convenient mode for making purchases both online & offline for the Indian crypto community.

India won't allow crypto to be used as an alternate source of payment.
Also, the video in your post says that the G20 countries have come to a mutual understanding that crypto shouldn't be used as a form of payment and hence it is not a legal tender.
So I'm not sure how EU will plan on working that out if the G20 consensus derives policies to eliminate crypto as a payment method.
For now we do know that a consensus is formed and policies will be derived for crypto to be used for trading and taxation will be applicable on it.
Since India already has it's taxation policy for crypto it's a matter of time before we come to know that the G20 countries will have the same taxation policy or they will have a flexible policy wherein different countries tax crypto income differently.
1282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin by selling wife's jewelry on: March 01, 2023, 05:34:25 PM
Investing in bitcoin might be really tempting sometimes but we must really be wise enough what we are doing in order to buy bitcoin.
They say to invest what you can afford to lose for a reason.
If it is at a cost of your wife's jwellery then you must be wise enough you should do it or not and not ask others what you should do about it.
If you still proceed with selling the jwellery then I would advice to sell only half of it.
Diversify the investment so that half of it is in bitcoin and half of it is in gold.

Free Bitcoin site is okay but how can I play the game. Those who knows the game show me road so I came be conversate with the site.

https://freebitco.in/
what game exactly? would you mind specifying what game you are talking about? or perhaps look at youtube. there might be some tutorial on youtube on how to play the gambling games they have on their website or ask directly on their ANN thread just like what tabas suggested.

As if freebitco.in has a lot of games on the site. The site has just one game which is high low or lets call it multiply BTC game.

When was the last time you visited freebitco.in?  Smiley
Freebitco.in offers users the opportunity to earn Bitcoins through various activities, including playing games such as betting, weekly lottery, "Win a Lambo" lottery, monthly wagering, and referral contests. Users can also earn Bitcoin by participating in the site's reward points program. So it was hard to tell which game specifically the OP was having trouble understanding at that time.

I visit freebitco.in almost everyday which is why I was saying that the only "game" freebitco.in has is multiply BTC.
Rest all things you mentioned are just other ways of earning BTC.

Quote
So OP is facing problems in playing the game I guess he must visit the site more often.
Just putting in more time on the site will clearly make anyone use the site with ease.

However, what you may have overlooked is that you responded to a post that was made nearly a year ago. Regardless of the original purpose of this discussion, I believe it has already been resolved since then.

Damn, I hate making that mistake again. I did overlook the date. Apologies for the same.

Its been a long time since I have won 5k RP and this time its on the free WOF spin we receive on mail.
This shows why it is equally important to spin the WOF spin daily that we receive on mail.
You never know what you win in the next free WOF spin.

Interesting video to watch. I just had a quick view and it seems what he's saying is right.
Few crypto services might be banned concerning people's safety and security their funds but its not feasible to ban crypto upright.
Also, the G20 accepting that crypto cannot be used as a legal tender tells us that we wont be seeing it used for payments at least in the next 5 years according to me.
But we surely will be seeing crypto trading being accepted and taxation on income from crypto which is already present in India.

1287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have life span? on: February 27, 2023, 11:16:10 AM
Nothing lasts forever is something that I strongly believe in.
But we cannot simply predict how long bitcoin will survive since that is something only time can tell.
Looking at the growth at which bitcoin users are increasing we can definitely say it will at least run for more than 10-15 years down the line most probably more than that.
The last bitcoin will be mined in the year 2140 after which bitcoin miners will live off the transaction fees alone.
So considering that bitcoin will at least survive until 2150 and more if transaction volume is huge.
1288  Local / India / Re: What topic would encourage Indian board Merit source to get activated? on: February 26, 2023, 12:03:19 PM

I have also seen many senior members busy earning Bitcoin with the signature campaign and regularly posting on other boards and threads. They are least bothered to come and comment on our local boards. They were born in India, and got everything from the country but still discourage fellow Indians to advance.

That's a very bold statement. I don't think anyone on this board has ever "discouraged" anyone to advance.
In fact people have only encouraged others to keep the discussions active.
It's a harsh reality that we being the world's most populated country still don't have enough members to keep the board active.
We cant blame anyone because we have tried multiple times to revive the board yet very few people joined hands.
This is one of the reasons why you see people being active on other boards and posting regularly while not posting on this board.

I do hope things get changed here onwards and we do see some activities on this board going forward.
1289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: it will definetly save you on: February 25, 2023, 04:42:50 AM
Apart from the plagiarism part others have mentioned, the content mentioned in the post is truly helpful.
A newbie should definitely give it a read as it will help him in many ways.
Many of the points mentioned in this post are experienced by myself which shows how true the points are.
The thing is that it us hard to follo these points but if one masters these then his gambling experience will be totally different.
He would be able to save most of his money from losses and increase overall profits at the end.
1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $300 bet won $417,000 on: February 25, 2023, 04:03:13 AM
Wow, you must be really lucky to have won such a huge reward. This shows that you must be really knowledgeable in Australian rugby games.
I hope you took the profits out while it lasted and enjoyed the rewards.
Many people keep playing even after they have won a huge reward and then end up losing money which I guess you wouldn't have done since you are wise.
By the way, what did you do with such a huge reward ?
1291  Economy / Gambling / Re: Researching for Upcoming Game on: February 25, 2023, 03:52:10 AM
The majority of the members here will tell you that they want a casino that has an insane bonus with a low wagering requirement and also a casino with incredible features that could compete with any other casino in the gaming industry.

Every gambler wants to gain money and if they demand a bonus with low wagering requirements, there is nothing wrong with it. In fact, these days gambling site protect their interest by offering a high wagering requirement making it difficult for a gambler to win and take money home.

I understand that gambling casino is here to make a profit and do business, and they are not charitable organization made to help people earn money, but still if any legit casino offer bonuses with a low wagering requirement, it can quickly gain hype and become popular among the gambling community.

Yeah that's quite correct. We rarely see any gambling sites which has low wagering requirements these days.
So if there are sites which do provide a low  wagering requirement then many gamblers might prefer to play on that site.
Also, if gambling sites are looking more on the profitability then what they can do is they can start the site with low wagering to grab users and then gradually increase the wagering with attaractive bonuses over time.

While the odds have decreased for the range of $22.5k - $25k at the same time the odds increased for the range of $25k - $27.5k.
Just a little planning of how to distribute the bet would get us in a better position to place the bets.

There are only a few days left until the end of the month, but it looks like the bears have decided to ruin all the plans of those who placed bets since the BTC price has dropped from $24.5k to $23k just in a day. Unfortunately, it looks like bets in the range of $25k to $27.5k will lose this time, and there is even a possibility that bets in the range of $22.5k to $25k might lose as well.

While you may be right that bitcoin proce might fall below $22.5k but we still have 3 more days left.
Now that is enough time for BTC to make a reversal. We know that it can increase by $1k in just a few hours.
So I guess we should probably wait and watch for BTC price action to show it's next move.
1293  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Do You Feel Less Safe? on: February 24, 2023, 01:07:56 PM
I'm still not sure if someday i wake up, all my funds could have all gone..
It seems to me that you are naturally insecure. In my case I don't feel insecure with what I have in bitcoin because from what I understand the probability of it being stolen from my HW is so small that it's practically impossible, and I haven't sold my house to buy bitcoin and keep it in the HW either. I mean, if my bitcoin were stolen I would be fucked but I would not starve to death. I don't know if in your case you sold everything to put it in bitcoin and that's why you are so worried.

That is a very good point which everyone investing in bitcoin should keep in mind.
The probability of getting the funds stolen is next to impossible but it sure is not impossible.
This is why we should never go all in on one investment and always diversify our investments.
Even I have diversified my investment in such a way that if my investment in bitcoin is gone then it would be a huge disappointment for me but I won't have lost everything.
There will still be other investments I can utilise and other income I can live off with.
1294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This week, I acquired my first Bitcoin, which is a milestone for me. on: February 24, 2023, 12:42:29 PM
OP says he has bought bitcoin from his pocket money and that he is not wealthy. LOL.
Who has a pocket money of $26000, I guess nobody. If OP is able to buy more than 1 bitcoin then he should consider himself as wealthy.
There are so many people on this forum including myself who still does not have 1 bitcoin and are still hustling their way to accumulate 1 bitcoin.
You should consider yourself lucky to have bought 1 whole bitcoin at $26k knowing the ATH price of $69k.
1295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Life's first investment in Bitcoin by selling bicycles on: February 24, 2023, 11:59:55 AM
Congratulations on getting into bitcoin but there are few things you should know.
I hope that the bicycle you sold was an old one or a spare one. You shouldn't sell things you "need" in order to buy bitcoin.
You have invested around $50 and you should not keep unrealistic expectations with your investment.
It won't get you $500 in a few weeks.
Investment takes time to give you profits and you should be able to hold that long to get those profits.
1296  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Web Browsers begun to have inbuilt Cryptocurrency Wallets on: February 23, 2023, 02:09:07 PM
I'm using Opera browser for quite long time. Suddenly came across the tab Crypto Wallet. This was something unexpected and going through it, we were able to see the option available to create our own wallet. Have anyone came across Web browsers having Crypto Wallet other than Opera and Brave browser. Are these wallets safe?

snip

As we keep using technology, more such services will be delivered to users for ease of convenience.
But at every point of time, there are two basic rules that we should keep in mind while using cryptocurrencies.

1. Hold your keys to your coins.
2. Keep your wallet and keys isolated.

So here the second point is getting breached. Using these web wallets are very risky since they are not isolated from the device which we use regularly.
1297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finantial tracking app asking for BTC address on: February 23, 2023, 02:01:47 PM
I've got a financial tracking app that can keep track of my net worth. I can add a bitcoin address and it will keep track of my BTC, and include it in the total.

Do I have any reason to be concerned about giving this app my bitcoin address? Will it only be able to view my wallet total/transactions?

Should I create a new address for this purpose?

I use bitcoin core

There's no risk of sharing publick address to anyone. It is meant to be shared.
But you must know that everyone who knows your public address will be able to see how much BTC you hold.
So when you share your public address to this app, you are basically giving it the right to see how much balance you hold.
Also, this app will be able to track you using this address and identify you as the owner of this address.
This decreases your anonymity. You can go ahead if you don't really care about privacy that much.
1298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: February 23, 2023, 01:58:06 PM
Wow, this is really great. Now that 48 teams will be able to participate in the FIFA worldcup it will open up opportunities for other countries as well.
I wonder if India will be able to be one of those countries but I guess it's hard to be able to qualify for the FIFA world cup.
2026 is still far way and we don't know what more additional rules FIFA brings in this time.
Fifa 2022 was truly amazing with Argentina winning a victorious match. Let's what 2026 has in store for us.
1299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casinos and Tech Devices on: February 23, 2023, 01:32:08 PM
One of the rarest topics I have seen discussed on this gambling board is devices and online gambling. We know that in the past, the only platform through which gamblers could have access to online casinos was by using laptop or desktop devices. One reason for this was that online casinos used a technology called Flash, which at that time worked on computers only and not mobile devices.

However, things turned around with the introduction of a new online programming language, HTML5. When HTML5 was introduced in 2008, it was made with an eye toward both mobile and desktop computers. It was much simpler to get anything to operate on a variety of devices if it was coded in HTML5. This was fantastic for developers since it allowed them to create fewer websites for less money, but it also meant that a single website would function on any device that had an HTML5-compatible browser.

We are no longer restricted to playing on desktops and laptops, but can now enjoy playing our favorite casino games on our smartphones, iPads, and other mobile devices. Personally, I am still stuck in my old ways of using my laptop to visit an online casino to play. Which device do you find most convenient when accessing an online casino: a laptop or desktop, a smartphone, or an iPad? Secondly, which do you find more convenient: playing a casino game through their app or through their website?

I remember there were two more threads recently posted similar to this one where they discussed gambling on desktop or phone.
So you could use the search box before starting up a new thread to find out threads you want to read about.
From the previous discussion we can conclude that while most of the people prefer gambling on desktop/laptop there is also a large number of people gambling on smartphones.
Both the audience have their own convenience which is not wrong.
1300  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 23, 2023, 01:22:45 PM
Pretty decent odds this time for BTC price betting. I guess you guys would be betting this time since the price is little more predictable this time.
I personally think it will be in the range of $22-5k to $27.5k so I have placed my bets in both the ranges to cover the price range.

Thanks for mentioning it here, just checked it and the odd for the range 22,501 to 25,000$ has already dropped to 1.67 and I think it will drop a little bit more. Than it will be difficult to make profit when you would bet on both ranges and just betting on one range is a bit risky for me giving the volatility.
There are still 18 hours left before the bet closes and during this period it is possible that those who have bet in a different range will immediately place bets in this range so that the odds will decrease even more and may even drop to 1.30 so that when the BTC price ends in that range the profit is still not a lot, what's interesting is the bet on FUN Token because now the price has touched $0.00734 maybe it will pass $0.007501 because if possible the profit will be good enough because the odds in that price range now are @2.75.

While the odds have decreased for the range of $22.5k - $25k at the same time the odds increased for the range of $25k - $27.5k.
Just a little planning of how to distribute the bet would get us in a better position to place the bets.
